Gates of Vienna News Feed 8/11/2021

This is a heap big news feed tonight, because it contains two day’s worth of yummy nutritious news items.

The biggest story, of course, is that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo resigned in the face of multiple groping allegations. Upon his departure, Mr. Cuomo told the assembled press corps, “You won’t have Andy Cuomo to kick around anymore.”

OK, so I made that last part up. But still…

In other news, record numbers of illegal migrants are pouring into Poland, Latvia, and Lithuania from Belarus. Latvia has declared a state of emergency, and Lithuania sent 1,300 culture-enrichers back to Belarus.

“Worst Case Scenario”: “Woke” Olympic Ratings Plunge Nearly 50%, Forcing NBC to Hand Out Free Ad Space

It looks like yet another instance of “get woke, go broke” for NBC and the Tokyo Olympics.

Ratings for the Olympics have been so poor this year that NBC is being forced to hand out “extra commercials” for those who bought advertising during the games, according to Fox News.

Experts have pointed to backlash over protesting the U.S. flag and “woke” athletes as the key reason why ratings are down.

Bill Banning Critical Race Theory in Texas Schools Passes Senate Committee Hearing

AUSTIN (Nexstar) — The bill that would expand the ban on teaching critical race theory concepts in Texas classrooms passed a Senate Committee on State Affairs hearing 5 to 2 on Tuesday.

It’s one of the governor’s priorities this special session, even though the bill itself does not contain the words critical, race or theory.

“The bill would prohibit teaching concepts that one race or sex is superior to another, that one race or sex should be held to blame for actions committed in the past by other members of that race or sex,” Republican State Senator Bryan Hughes (R-Mineola) said, defending the bill in Tuesday’s hearing.

California School Board Bans Critical Race Theory

One California school district blocked critical race theory in its classrooms this week — banning what the board defined as a “fatally flawed” ideology “based on false assumptions about the United States of America and its population.”

“I find critical race theory to be just an absolutely disgustingly racist ideology that has been developed with the intention of really driving a wedge between various groups in America, various ethnic groups, and to use that to absolutely ruin our nation,” Paso Robles school board president Chris Arend told Fox News Wednesday afternoon. “Very simple.”

The school board passed the resolution in a 4-3 vote Tuesday, although Arend, an Armyveteran who practiced law in both Germany and the U.S., said even the trustees who voted against the ban opposed teaching CRT.

CDC COVID Document Discussed Relocating “High Risk” Individuals to “Camps”

The CDC published a COVID-19 planning document that suggested relocating “high-risk individuals” to “green zones” or “camps” in order to keep them away from the rest of the population.

Yes, really.

The document is called Interim Operational Considerations for Implementing the Shielding Approach to Prevent COVID-19 Infections in Humanitarian Settings and was originally published on the CDC’s official website on July 26, 2020.

Companies Now Deducting $50 From Unvaccinated Workers’ Monthly Paychecks: Consultancy Firm

Authored by Jack Phillips via The Epoch Times

Some employers are starting to tack on a $20 to $50 monthly surcharge to their unvaccinated workers, according to a health benefits consultant group.

“Employers have tried encouraging employees to get vaccinated through offering incentives like paid time off and cash, but with the Delta variant driving up infections and hospitalizations throughout the country — at the same time that vaccination rates have stalled — we have received inquiries from at least 20 employers over the past few weeks who are giving consideration to adding health coverage surcharges for the unvaccinated as a way to drive up vaccination rates in their workforce,” Wade Symons, with consultancy group Mercer, told Forbes magazine on Aug. 8.

Those who might consider Vimeo a viable YouTube alternative, particularly where it concerns free speech, might also feel the need to rethink this in light of an announcement made on August 10 by Frontline COVID-19 Critical Care (FLCCC), a group of leading critical care doctors who formed an alliance.

In a post, they informed their followers that videos missing from the FLCCC website (embedded from Vimeo) have been disappearing — as a consequence of the video site deplatforming the organization, i.e., deleting their account and therefore all content.

MSNBC Host: It Was OK to be an Anti-Vaxxer When Trump Was President

MSNBC host Joy Reid conveniently explained away the fact that back in September and November 2020 she put out anti-vaccine statements, saying it was OK to do it then because Donald Trump was the President.

“I have taken a lot of heat for having said back in September that, if Donald Trump remained president, I wouldn’t trust anything that was coming out in terms of vaccines that he was offering, and that it was difficult to trust the CDC after he had warped it so thoroughly, and that, even if he wasn’t president, it would be difficult to restore that kind of trust,” Reid said recently.

NFI: Pathetic Pelosi Says She Had ‘Other Parties to Go to’ After Being Uninvited From Obama’s Superspreader Event

Nancy Pelosi pathetically said that she ‘had other parties to go to’ after turning up in Martha’s Vineyard in an attempt to get into Barack Obama’s three day super spreader event, even though she had been uninvited after he ‘scaled back’ the party to just the 350 or so guests.

As reported by The Daily Mail, Pelosi instead had lunch with Oprah Winfrey, but bumped into Obama coincidentally after he had finished a round of golf (awkward).

A couple encountered Pelosi, who travelled by private jet, and asked her how Obama’s party was, prompting her to admit she didn’t go but claiming that she partied elsewhere.

Parents in America’s Heartland Push Back Against Critical Race Theory: ‘We Are the Last Line of Defense’

Parents in the heartland hardly expected to find themselves battling critical race theory at their doorstep. But while critics focused on fighting the polarizing ideology in places like New York, California and Virginia, CRT advocates have been making a quiet push to implement K-12 curriculums in suburban towns across the midwest.

For months, critics in Wisconsin, Kansas, and Nebraska have tried to push back against their respective school districts’ noticeable nod toward the controversial curriculum. But with little national media spotlighting or outside support, frustrated parents have been forced to take on a more aggressive approach.

Amy Cawvey, a-stay-at-home mom from Lansing, Kansas, registered as a School Board candidate when she noticed a troubling pattern in her daughter’s school. After a grueling, months-long primary race, Cawvey and two other parents managed to land the top three spots.

‘We Didn’t Back Down’: Christians Respond to Portland Antifa Attack With Massive Worship Rally

One day after a shocking and disturbing attack on a Christian prayer event in Portland, Oregon, Christians rallied in that very location for a massive gathering to sing and worship God.

Sean Feucht, best known for his work as a volunteer worship leader at Bethel Church, led the large gathering and even claimed one member of Antifa who came to disrupt, ended up getting saved.

“Members of Antifa showed up in Portland last night to threaten, harass, bully and intimidate us,” he wrote on social media today. “A mom and her baby were tear gassed. Antifa stood 10 feet from me as we lifted our voices in praise, but we didn’t back down. We kept worshipping and God moved powerfully!”

As it turns out, that worship ended up ringing true for at least one self-professed Antifa member, who gave his life to Christ

“One member of Antifa who came to disrupt our service was SAVED giving his life to Jesus! It’s a time for a BOLD & BELIEVING church!” Feucht joyfully wrote. “God has not given us a Spirit of fear but of POWER & GRACE! The Church is on the move and the gates of hell will not prevail against it!”

YouTube Suspends Senator Rand Paul After “They Can’t Arrest All of Us” Video

US Senator Rand Paul has received a week-long suspension on YouTube, as another of his videos posted on Google’s platform got censored and removed.

The Republican senator is unsurprisingly unhappy with this turn of events, and is not holding back in lambasting YouTube as a violator of his constitutionally protected rights, since the banned videos also contained footage from the Senate floor.

But such considerations regularly go out the window over on YouTube when time comes to censor COVID-related content; both videos got taken down as Paul was accused and punished by the giant for violating these guidelines.

French Resistance: Only Half of Paris Cafés and Restaurants Are Demanding Draconian Vaccine Passports

The French government announced that as of Monday, all consumers in France will have to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test before they can sit down at their favorite café.

Many cafe’s did not comply with this new regulation. The Interior Ministry stated that police would initially be tolerant but it won’t last long.

However, violating café or bar owners will receive a warning, followed by a seven-day closure notice if they repeat the offense. An additional two infractions could lead to a year of prison.

Germany: Berlin Police Experience a Brutal Attack by Leftists

In Berlin’s Schöneberg district, police were the target of a fierce attack. The officers were saved only thanks to a quick escape, reports the Bild daily. A festival and a left-wing demonstration took place on Sunday in a place called Roten Insel. According to the organizers, it was supposed to be a mix of protest, concert, party, workshop, and theater. In a blink of an eye, this “peaceful” action turned into a drama full of violence.

Police oversaw the smooth running of the event when they were called to a nearby playground on Mansteinstrasse because of someone destroying property. According to the police, the man responsible was detained.

However, the police had to use coercive means because the attacker violently defended himself. Before they could pacify him, they were surrounded by a crowd of about 40 people who attacked and harassed them.

Hungary Heading Towards Critical Elections Next Year

The crux of next year’s elections will be whether the current conservative government can continue its work for the benefit of the nation, Istvan Simicskó, caucus leader of Hungary’s junior coalition partner Christian Democratic People’s Party (KDNP) told news portal vasarnap.hu in an interview.

“The biggest issue is whether Hungary will continue to have an efficient, successful and capable government, or whether resolving issues that fundamentally affect the country’s future, such as migration or the protection of our national sovereignty, will leave us powerless and utterly divided into helpless groupings,” Simicskó said.

“We are also convinced that the future must be sought in families and not in other selfish and destructive ideologies created to replace the fallen and emptied classical values of the Left. Therefore, strengthening family support is also a priority for the KDNP,” he said, adding that the Left’s agenda is the exact opposite of that.

The unvaccinated will also be banned from using long distance public transport, meaning that holidays, travel for work and visiting relatives will become impossible for many.

UK: Christian Street Preacher Will Sue London Met Police She Says Was ‘Determined’ To Prosecute Her

A Christian street preacher who was vindicated after a judge cleared her of making abusive comments will sue London’s Metropolitan Police Service, which she said was “determined to prosecute me no matter what”.

Hazel Lewis, 49, was arrested while preaching outside Finsbury Park Tube underground station in north London in February 2020 after passersby falsely claimed she had called for non-Christians and homosexuals to be stabbed.

Miss Lewis appeared to have had the foresight to record herself while preaching, so when police arrived to arrest the Christian woman under the Public Order Act for allegedly making racist or homophobic remarks, she handed her phone to officers to review the footage, which proved she had not made any such utterances.

However, London’s police still went ahead and charged her with another public order offence, related to using abusive, threatening, or insulting words to cause alarm, distress, or harassment, engaging the Christian woman in an 18-month long legal battle, The Telegraph detailed on Monday.

These Are the New Coronavirus Restrictions

Included in the new recommendations are the application of the Green Pass program to all of Israel’s businesses. Under the expanded Green Pass, everyone aged three and above would need to present proof of recovery, vaccination, or a recent negative coronavirus test. Mass testing would be conducted around the country, for the purpose of identifying infected individuals and quarantining them, in an attempt to break the chain of infection.

The Green Pass program would apply to the vast majority of Israel’s businesses and public and private institutions, including, among others: swimming pools, gyms, academic institutions, all cultural and sports events, all conferences and exhibitions, museums, libraries, restaurants, hotels, and more.

Payment for the testing will be as follows: Children ages 0-3 years of age are exempt from the Green Pass; from age 3-12, testing will be funded by the government; for ages 12 and up, testing will be paid for privately by the individual, if she or he has chosen not to receive the coronavirus vaccine.

Rapid tests will be valid for a period of 24 hours, while traditional PCR tests will be valid for 72 hours.[…]

Suspected Jihadi Attack in Dasna Temple, Hindu Priest Stabbed Seriously

Shivam Mangalmoorthy | HENB | New Delhi | Aug 10, 2021:: An unknown assailant, suspected as Jihadist element, allegedly attacked a Hindu priest sleeping on the premises of Dasna Devi temple in Ghaziabad early on Tuesday, police said. The victim was admitted to a private hospital where doctors described his condition to be stable.

Chief Priest of Dasna devi Mata Mandir, Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati claimed he was the intended target: “Who will harbour enmity against him (Nareshanand)? He had come to participate in the Jantar Mantar protest. Jihadis have enmity with me and they had come to kill me but unfortunately he (Nareshananda) was attacked.”

Hailing from Bihar, he is said to be a disciple of Swami Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati, the controversial chief priest of the temple. “Swami Nareshanand was attacked by an unknown person using a paper cutter in the early hours of Tuesday. The visitor was sleeping in the open area inside the premises. We have recovered two paper cutters from the spot. Doctors have operated upon him. As he lost profuse blood because of injury, it was serious but his condition now is stable.” said Iraj Raja, Superintendent of Police (rural).

“We are investigating the case by using manual and electronic surveillance. The temple administration has been asked to lodge a complaint and an FIR will be registered soon,” added Mr. Raja.

He said a picket of Provincial Armed Constabulary guards the temple and senior officials were looking into possible lapses.

Police sources said the picket was informed 20 minutes after the incident and the CCTV cameras were found shut very mysteriously.

Narsinghanand Saraswati has been in news since March this year when a Muslim boy was allegedly roughed up on the temple premises when he purportedly went inside with a pretence of drinking water.

Narsinghanand Saraswati has been making hard statements against Muslims and the nuisance of Islam and its prophet and has claimed he could be attacked by Islamists for his views. Recently, the National Commission of Women had written to the Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police demanding an FIR to be registered against Narsinghanand Saraswati for his offensive remarks against women in a video that went viral. In that video Narsinghanand criticized a section of Hindu women who are indulgent to fall in ‘Love Jihad’.

Anil Yadav, Narsinghanand Saraswati’s disciple and spokesperson of the Dasna temple, alleged it was the work of ‘Islamic Jihadis’ and the real target was the chief priest. “They have failed in the past and last night they tried again,” he said.

Describing the condition of Mr. Nareshanand as critical, Mr. Yadav said the incident happened because of security lapse. “We have complained in the past that the guards on duty were found sleeping at night.”

Local sources said the incident could be linked to the ‘provocative statements’ made at Jantar Mantar on Sunday and Delhi Police might visit Dasna Temple. Two of the four accused in the case are from Ghaziabad and are said to be close to Narsinghanand Saraswati. Mr. Yadav denied that Mr. Nareshanand was present during the Jantar Mantar event. Delhi Police has also failed to place any evidence of provocation from the “Unite India Movement” programme at Jantar Mantar on Sunday as organised by Advocate Ashwini Upadhyaya so far. Superintendent of Police (rural), Mr. Raja refused to comment on the possible link and said Delhi Police had not approached them so far in the present attack.

“We are in the process of identifying the accused. It is possible that the accused were aware of the layout of the temple and knew at which points they could get past the security. There are many rooms on the premises where people usually sleep. At any given point there are approximately 25 security personnel stationed at several points,” said Raja.

Half of All Hungarians See Dangers of Child LGBT Education

Approximately two-thirds of Hungarians think that encountering content depicting homosexuality could change a person’s sexual orientation, a poll by think-tank Szazadvég showed. Of those surveyed, 42 percent believe there is a real danger that LGBTQ organizations will propagate in kindergartens and schools to promote sexual orientations that do not correspond with the majority of society.

According to the survey commissioned by daily Népszava, 27 percent of voters who do not sympathize with government policy would also take part in a referendum on the Hungarian child protection law. A few weeks ago, Szazadvég also released the results of another poll, which showed that the vast majority of Hungarians reject all forms of activities aimed at minor children and promoting adult sexual orientation. A full 73 percent of those surveyed opposed it.

There is also an extremely high rate — 88 percent — opposed to displaying gender-sensitive media content to minor children. Approximately the same number opposed broadcasting sexual media content affecting the development of children under the age of 18 in Hungary.

One of the authors of the United Nations IPCC report who focused on “extreme” consequences of man-made global warming lauded the fact that “people are starting to get scared” about climate change and that this would “affect the way they vote.”

Yesterday, the UN released a hysterical report which enjoyed saturation media coverage warning of a “code red” ecological apocalypse if humanity didn’t drastically alter its way of living.

According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, humans are “unequivocally” to blame, with U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres calling for a total end to the use of coal and fossil fuels.

  1. ” — and Lithuania sent 1,300 culture-enrichers back to Belarus. ”

Lithuania why did you leave the Soviet Union… Now if Lithuania sends muslim invaders away or to their original country Saint EU will get angry. And Lithuania’s dream was to join EU.

If Lithuania accepts even one wave say 20, 000 jihadis then the next day will be 50 000 and then, half a million and then their people will get angry. Unlike Swedes and British they are happy and welcoming even if they get rapes. They will recover in let me guess …. 24 hours. And then she will hold a sign: “refugees welcome to my feast.”
Thanks to the EU which sends money to Palestinians : the more wives the more money then more sex then more immigrants to EU. Lucky EU . When did you adopt this policy? You should have adopted it 1400 years ago.

A waste of 1400 years without enrichers. Jacinda is so enriched.

Oh yeah, I bet that’s not gonna mess up anything…

    • Check out WRSA; they’ve got a post about it. Vox Day has been expecting this, and they have already migrated to a new site.

We migrated out of blogspot eight years ago after being taken down twice in one week.

Nobody should be on blogspot if they have any un-PC content. If you violate the Narrative, and you’re still on blogspot, it’s only because you’re not prominent enough. When you become prominent, you will be taken down.

    • It’s almost as if they can’t get over the fact that sex is about producing children.
