A “Great Listener and Collaborator”: Stalinist Professor Under Fire for Praising Genocidal Soviet Leader

Authored by Jonathan Turley

Asatar Bair, an assistant professor of economics at Riverside City College, is under fire this week for his praise of one of the most blood-soaked, tyrannical figures in history: Joseph Stalin. Bair is a self-described Marxist but most communists draw a line well clear of Stalin who was responsible for killing millions. As will come as little surprise to many on this blog, I strongly support Bair’s right to espouse his Stalinist views even though I find them utterly absurd and offensive.

Bizarre Series of Hearings for ‘Rise of the Moors’ Members in Highway Standoff Case

MEDFORD, Mass. — Some of the 11 men accused of gun crimes in connection with a long, tense highway standoff in Wakefield over the weekend filed through a courtroom in a series of bizarre hearings Tuesday afternoon.

Ten men and one 17-year-old were arrested following Saturday morning’s nine-hour armed standoff on Interstate 95. Members of the group, called “Rise of the Moors,” livestreamed their interaction with law enforcement on YouTube.

After several hours of delays, the first to be arraigned in court was Quinn Cumberlander, 40, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The judge eventually agreed to allow him to appear for the hearing without an attorney.

Cumberlander described his group as a “well-regulated militia” and said he was not opposed to the law. As he began describing Saturday’s events, the judge reminded him that all statements can be used against him as evidence at trial.

Prosecutors asked the judge to hold Cumberlander and the others pending dangerousness hearings.

“Nothing inside me wants to do harm to anyone else,” Cumberlander said…

Breaking: Eric Adams Wins New York Mayoral Primary

New York City’s test drive of ranked choice voting gave candidate Eric Adams the Democratic primary win in the race that decides the city’s next mayor.

According to the Associated Press, the former police captain won the Democrat primary for mayor of New York City. He beat out the likes of “early favorite” and 2020 presidential contender Andrew Yang as well as former members of the NYC political establishment Maya Wiley and Kathryn Garcia.

Meanwhile at CNN, the primary came down to a narrow victory given how the voting results were calculated. The June 22 results had Adams with a comfortable 10-point lead, but by the time the June 30 updated results came out, it was down to a 2.2 percent lead over Garcia.

Just 10,000 Tune in to Biden 4th July Live Stream

The numbers are in. Joe Biden struggled to engage any Americans on the Fourth of July as he ordered them to get vaccinated, calling it the most patriotic thing anyone can do for their country.

As he squinted and stumbled through a 15 minute speech on the White House lawn that was solely devoted to fear mongering about COVID, fewer than 10,000 people joined the YouTube livestream.

That equates to around 0.003% of the population.

Yet he received a record 81 million votes in the election, apparently.

Kyle Rittenhouse’s Attorney Wants to Show Shooting Victim During 2020 Police Protests in Kenosha Was Sex Offender

MADISON, WIS. — Kyle Rittenhouse’s attorney wants a judge to allow him to argue that one of the men his client fatally shot during a Wisconsin protest was a sex offender, saying it supports a defense theory that he attacked Rittenhouse and intended to take his gun because he couldn’t legally possess one.

Mark Richards maintained in court filings Thursday that Joseph Rosenbaum was convicted of having sex with a minor in Arizona in 2002 and was prohibited from possessing firearms. Rosenbaum started the altercation with Rittenhouse in hopes of making off with his assault-style rifle, which only bolsters Rittenhouse’s self-defense argument, Richards wrote.

Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe has defeated Twitter’s attempt to transfer the case to friendly court—instead it will remain in O’Keefe’s backyard—winning his first major legal victory in the lawsuit against the Big Tech giant.

Manhattan federal court ruled to “remand”—or allow the case to be brought back down from federal to state level—the suit to the New York Supreme Court.

Twitter’s presumed objective was to transfer the case to the federal level so the company could litigate in a friendly California court, where the federal playing field routinely dismisses cases against Silicon Valley corporations.

Robert Spencer’s Latest Book, Islamophobia and the Threat to Free Speech, Available Now

My latest book, Islamophobia and the Threat to Free Speech, is available now from Center for Security Policy Press. You can order it here.

It shows how the demonization of foes of jihad violence and Sharia oppression was a dry run for the Left’s attempt now to silence and criminalize all opposition to its agenda.

“Free speech, the cornerstone of our freedom, hangs by a thread. This book is an essential read to understand how we reached this point, and the key role ‘Islamophobia’ played in normalizing the assault on our most basic right to free expression. May it serve as a wake up call for us to exercise this right, and prevent Trojan Horse blasphemy laws of all types from superseding our freedoms before it is too late.” — Noor bin Ladin, writer and advocate dedicated to defending freedom and those threatened by the adherents of oppressive ideologies

“Robert Spencer provides a chilling account of the ongoing campaign against free speech. He reveals a sinister timeline of decades of deliberately dismantling the most important right we have. It requires much courage to disseminate that truth. As restrictions continue to gain ground in the free world, this book should inspire all to protect freedom of speech and to stand up to the policy of criminalizing words in order to silence us. And make it unequivocally clear that we will never be silenced.” — Geert Wilders

Italy: Bogre: A Journey Through European Middle Ages Heresy

By Fredo Valla, on Cathars and Bogomils. On screen in Trieste

(ANSA) — TRIESTE, 17 GIU — A long journey in the footsteps of Cathars and Bogomils, heretics of the Middle Ages spread from the Balkans to Western Europe, whose history has many similarities in chronologically closer events, such as the Shoah, the Armenian genocide, intolerance towards those who are “different” and arrive in the civilized West. The documentary “Bogre. The great European heresy” by director and screenwriter Fredo Valla, will be screened at the Ariston cinema in Trieste on June 18. The author will present it in a dialogue with the journalist and writer Paolo Rumiz.

“In Occitan’ bogre’ means Bulgarian — the director explains- but for centuries, the word has taken on the meaning of inept, foolish, one who hides the truth. From the 12th century, ‘bogre’ became an insult to the Cathars of Occitania, assimilated to the movement of the Bulgarian Bogomils, from which Western Catharism derived.” The film, whose cast includes Giovanni Lindo Ferretti and Olivier de Robert and with Muriel Batbie-Castell, Gérard Zuchetto, Alain Vidal, Luca Occelli, Dario Anghilante, was shot across Bulgaria, Italy, Occitania, Bosnia and in five languages ;;(Bulgarian , French, Occitan, Italian and Bosnian). The documentary features the relationship between the two heretical movements through the Balkans, Italy, and France, and Chambra d’Oc — IncandenzaFilm — Lontane Province Film produces it with the support of various partners. The history of Cathars and Bogomils, Valla said, “is taken from the history books, but, unfortunately, returns punctually over the centuries.” The director, who has worked with Pupi Avati on several television documentaries, has signed, among his latest works, “Higher than the clouds,” on the enterprise of the first flyer in the Alps in 1910, Géo Chavez, and “Let’s not talk about this war,” focusing on mutinies of the Italian military during WW1.

Netherlands: Supreme Court Upholds Wilders Guilty Verdict in Hate Speech Trial

The Supreme Court of the Netherlands upheld a guilty verdict against PVV leader Geert Wilders on Tuesday for inciting hatred and violence against a group of people. The verdict brings the case against the leader of the right wing nationalist political party to a close after seven years in the Dutch judicial system.

“Group insult is prohibited under the Criminal Code,” said the chair of the court in its ruling, according to NOS. “Even a politician must adhere to the basic principles of the rule of law and must not incite intolerance.”

This case revolves around statements the PVV leader made about Moroccans while campaigning in The Hague in March 2014. Wilders asked a cafe full of people whether they want “more or fewer Moroccans in this city and the Netherlands”. The audience responded by chanting “fewer, fewer, fewer”. And Wilders said: “Well, then we will arrange that.”

“Unnecessarily damaging,” the court said of his statements, according to the Telegraaf.

Polish Supreme Court Rules Public Gathering Ban Was Illegal

Poland’s Supreme Court has ruled that the 2020 pandemic-era ban on public gatherings issued by the Council of Ministers “was issued in excess of the statutory delegation.”

“The basis for the ban on public gatherings could not be the law on preventing and combating infections, to which the government referred in subsequent regulations. The problem is that this law does not provide grounds for such restrictions on freedom”, argued the commissioner for human rights, Adam Bodnar.

Commissioner Bodnar has been a vocal critic of the ban on public gathering, saying it violated the essence of the constitutional freedom of assembly and prevented citizens from effectively exercising this freedom.

Sixteen Conservative Parties Up to a Common European Vision

On Friday, Polish governing Law and Order (PiS) party leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski announced that sixteen parties from various European Member States have signed a joint declaration in which they support the ethos of the EU; however, they reject the idea of a European superstate. The party leaders signed the document in their respective capitals.

Kaczynski has stressed that the declaration was prompted by the fact that a conference discussing Europe’s future had started, yet its goals and structures are still unclear. “We can assume that there is an attempt to deepen certain processes that do not serve the development of the EU, but rather cause a deep, lasting crisis, phenomena that have nothing to do with the idea of the founding fathers and the first years’ practices of the community: they lead to a superstate, centralization, a cultural revolution aimed at destroying existing social structures. We do not want such revolutions,” claimed Kaczynski, stressing that some of the ideas discussed in Brussels are known from European history and have only lead to trouble and to the radical reduction of freedom in the past.

The Local Police, with the support of a Guardia Civil patrol, evicted the attendees of the event, some of whom reported that they had been charged an entry fee that included a bracelet and poker chips to exchange for drinks. During the intervention, two ambulances had to assist two individuals under the influence of toxic substances or narcotics.

Faking as Aditya, Arif seduced, married & tried to convert an ex Hindu IAS officer’s widowed daughter in a high profile love jihad case in UP’s Agra.

Ranjana Tiwari | HENB | Lucknow | July 6, 2021:: The daughter of a retired IAS officer has now become a ‘victim’ of love jihad. The police on Monday said Arif Hashmi, a timber businessman from Lucknow, posed as Aditya, when he met his prey at a function.

According to the police, he struck up a friendship in Lucknow with the woman and when their relationship progressed, the couple got married in 2010. The woman was a widow and did not suspect the intentions of ‘Aditya’.

As per allegation made from the side of the victim woman, it was stated that the said Arif alias Aditya smeared vermilion on the forehead of the victim during a party as a mark of marriage.

After some years of marriage, the woman came to know about the real identity of the man and then he destroyed the Hindu puja place in the room of the victim and started forcing her to convert to Islam, said the police. When she refused, he started torturing and blackmailing. He would use the hotel of the woman’s first husband as to thrash her by third party leading to sexual assault and unnatural activities.

The woman then filed a case against the accused under serious sections like assault, attempt to murder, rape, unnatural act, robbery, cheating and unlawful conversion.

“We have registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC 307 (Attempt to murder), 376 (Punishment for rape), 377 (Unnatural offences), 386 (Extortion by putting a person in fear of death or grievous hurt) and under anti-conversion law. Now, the investigation is activated from Agra to Lucknow for further probe whether any network is involved in this case to trap other Hindu girls and women in any bigger ‘love jihad’ racket.

A Controversial Journalistic Question is Changing the Austrian Political Discourse

Signs are emerging that the left’s dominance in offering self-depreciating interpretations of migrant criminality are falling out of favor with European citizens. An enormous scandal erupted only a few days ago during a press conference discussing the murder of a 13-year-old Austrian girl by four Afghan immigrants, who allegedly drugged and gang-raped the child, leaving her body in a park in Vienna. The press conference was also attended by Austrian minister of interior Karl Nehammer. At the end of the event, Christian Hofmann, a well-known journalist from the Austrian national broadcaster ORF, had made a controversial remark that also contained an open-ended question:

“Mr. Interior Minister, the presumption of innocence applies. This is about asylum seekers who have only experienced war in their home country. Regardless of what they did, should Austria not do more when it comes to traumatization? The question arises as to whether you care enough about young Afghans.”

The Minister of the Interior Karl Nehammer expressed some degree of frustration in his reply: “What gives me pause is the thought of what the parents of the victim hear you ask. Your question insinuates that Austrian society has contributed to the crime, and that these Afghans should simply have been looked after better. There is never a justification (other than self-defense) that permits violence against others. “

He also implicitly criticised Visegrad countries and warned Europe of its responsibility to adopt an immigration and asylum policy “up to the values that are at the basis of the European integration project.” That constituted “a primary objective for the stability and cohesion of the Union itself,” Mattarella said.

  1. If the majority of Britons wishes to have the masks on indefinitely,Why don’t they adopt the way Islam’s women cover their faces?
The Moroccan women have a mask (a leather one i think) and a cover for the head and the rest of the face.
As for the Afgani women they have all the head covered and they see through a crocheted cloth.
I don’t think that a white British christian woman would wishes that.
