2 Chicago Cops Shot While Breaking Up 4th of July Crowds
Two Chicago cops were shot early Monday as they broke up rowdy Fourth of July crowds setting off fireworks, police said.
A commander was shot in the foot and a sergeant grazed in the leg when shots rang out around 1:30 a.m. in the city’s West Side, Chicago police said in a statement.
Both officers were taken to a hospital, where they were listed in good condition, police told The Post Monday.

Amazon Uses Artificial Intelligence to Terminate Delivery Drivers
A Bloomberg report details how artificial intelligence systems employed by Amazon have hired and fired contract drivers.
Called “Flex,” Amazon uses AI to determine how many drivers are needed for deliveries. The app, installed on drivers’ smartphones, measures whether they delivered packages on time and followed customers’ special requests.
If a driver misses the mark, they are subjected to an automatic firing.

CNN hosts Brian Stelter and Oliver Darcy asserted that “Tucker Carlson is the new Alex Jones” during Stelter’s show after they played clips where Carlson’s rhetoric was similar to Jones’ on several different issues.
After Stelter asked Darcy about the comparison, Darcy remarked, “Tucker Carlson is the new Alex Jones — if you watch Tucker Carlson’s program and you watch Alex Jones’ program — they might differ a little bit in antics and the way they deliver their message, but that message to viewers is consistent and it’s pretty identical.”

DeSantis Spokesperson Squashes Talk of Beef With Trump
Governor Ron DeSantis’ office is throwing cold water on a report from over the weekend claiming that he and former President Donald Trump had a dispute over the Saturday night rally in Sarasota, Florida — saying the story of a “feud” is “inaccurate reporting.”
According to a statement from the governor’s press secretary Christina Pushaw, “Contrary to inaccurate reporting based on anonymous sources, the Governor never suggested cancelling the event. Fauci-Funded EcoHealth Refuses to Give Wuhan Documents to Congress
Four months before the Obama administration suspended federal funding for gain-of-function research on US soil, the process by which virologists manipulate viruses to be more transmissible to humans, a subagency of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) — headed by Dr. Anthony Fauci — effectively shifted this research to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) via a grant to nonprofit group EcoHealth Alliance, headed by Peter Daszak.
The first $666,442 installment of EcoHealth’s $3.7 million NIH grant was paid in June 2014, with similar annual payments through May 2019 under the “Understanding The Risk Of Bat Coronavirus Emergence“ project, as we noted in April.
As we noted in April, the WIV “had openly participated in gain-of-function research in partnership with U.S. universities and institutions” for years under the leadership of Dr. Shi ‘Batwoman’ Zhengli, according to the Washington Post’s Josh Rogin.

Michigan Boy Dies in His Sleep Three Days After Getting Vaccine
A 13-year-old Michigan boy died in his sleep three days after receiving the coronavirus vaccine in June and the Centers for Disease Control has opened an investigation into the death, a report said on Sunday.
Jacob Clynick — who was preparing to enter high school in the fall — received his second dose of the Pfizer vaccine at a Walgreens in Zilwaukee, Mich. on June 13, his aunt told the Detroit Free Press.
Jacob was healthy and had no underlying health conditions. In the two days following the second jab, the only side effects he had experienced were the same ones most others had to deal with: fatigue and fever.

Over 100 People Dead From Gun Violence in Democrat Cities Over the July 4th Weekend
Cities across the United States saw a spike in shooting related incidents and fatalities over the holiday, per outlets on both sides of the establishment media aisle.
CNN cites the Gun Violence Archive in their reporting that 150 people died as a result of gun violence “in more than 400 shootings” across the USA. Report: US Army Directs Commands to Prep for Mandatory COVID Shots for Troops
The US Army is preparing to enforce mandatory coronavirus vaccinations for service members from the beginning of September, according to an Army Times report.
The report published Saturday notes “The Army has directed commands to prepare to administer mandatory COVID-19 vaccines as early as Sept. 1, pending full Food and Drug Administration licensure.”
“The directive came from an execute order sent to the force by Department of the Army Headquarters,” the report adds.

‘Rise of the Moors’ Suspects Arrested in Armed Highway Standoff Due in Court Tuesday
The 11 suspects — who all claimed to be part of a group called the Rise of the Moors — are due in Malden District Court on Tuesday.
The 11 males who were arrested Saturday following an hourslong armed standoff that partially shut down Interstate 95 in Wakefield, Massachusetts, will make their first court appearances on Tuesday.
Police said the suspects arrested Saturday — who all claimed to be part of a group called the Rise of the Moors— are from Rhode Island, New York and Michigan.
The Massachusetts State Police have identified eight of the 11 males. Two of the men refused to identify themselves. One of the suspects is 17 years old. His identity was not publicly released…

Video-sharing platform Rumble smashed its live streaming record by more than 3x on Saturday with 500,000 concurrent live viewers across its apps, website, and over-the-top (OTT).

Target to Close Stores Early in San Francisco Due to Chronic Shoplifting

Yale Course Likens US Prisons to History’s Most Brutal Regimes
Yale University is offering a course this fall that likens the US prison system to the Soviet Gulag, with one of the professors leading the course describing America as home to “one of the most brutal prison societies in human history” on social media Monday.

Canadian Civil Liberties Boss Says ‘Burn it All Down’ As Churches Torched

GraceLife Church Has Regained Control of Its Building and is Open for Worship
Sunday marked the first day back in their church building for the congregants of GraceLife Church, just west of Edmonton, Alberta, and Rebel News was on hand to mark the joyous occasion.
The church property, nestled inside Parkland County, was seized in a dawn raid by provincial authorities in April. Kingston Police Bust 300-Person Party for Violation of Lockdown Regulations
Police were called at 2:40 am on Sunday to a location on Aberdeen Street in Kingston, Ontario. They found approximately 300 people in attendance at an illegal gathering.
According to current lockdown regulations, indoor gatherings can only have a maximum of five people, and 25 people are allowed to get together outdoors.
According to CTV News Ottawa, Const. Cameron Mack of the Kingston Police emailed them the details of this recent incident.

Czech Scientists Dispute Advantages of Electric Cars, Point to Omitted Shortcomings
Open letters signed by more than a hundred experts and scientists disputing the environmental benefits of electric cars have caused quite a stir. The European Union has been trying for a long time to combat cars with internal combustion engines and is promoting electromobility as the only way forward. Donald Tusk Boasts About ‘Cutting Out’ Viktor Orban From European People’s Party
Just a few days ago, conservative parties from all across Europe signed a joint declaration regarding the future of the European Union. Among the signatories were Law and Justice (PiS), Spanish VOX, Hungarian Fidesz, the French National Front, and the Italian Northern League.
The authors of the declaration emphasized that the aim of their cooperation is to deeply reform the EU through a return to the ideals which constituted the union’s foundation, including the sovereignty of European nation states.

France: Marine Le Pen Elected National Rally President for Fourth Time
Marine Le Pent was re-elected president of the French National Rally on Sunday by the delegates at the party’s electoral congress, but she will be temporarily hand over the post to first vice-president Jordan Bardella in September when she begins hes campaign for next year’s presidential election.
Marine Le Pen was the only candidate to run for the party presidency since 2011, leading a party founded by his father, Jean-Marie Le Pen. At the party’s annual congress, which began on Saturday in Perpignan, southern France, Le Pen was re-elected with 98.35 percent of the votes.
The party president told the French press that she was very determined about the presidential election and that her party’s failure in last week’s regional elections did not discourage her.

French Senate Blocks Referendum on Climate Change
PARIS, July 5 — The French Senate has voted to block a referendum promised by President Emmanuel Macron on whether to enshrine the fight against climate change in the French constitution, it said in a statement on Monday.
Macron had pledged to organize such a vote in response to criticism that he has not done enough to protect the planet.

Despite an unusually tight deadline, Hungary has responded in full to the European Commission’s questions regarding Hungary’s new child protection law adopted last month, Justice Minister Judit Varga wrote on her Facebook page.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel criticized Hungary’s child protection law during a Franco-German Parliamentary Assembly last week, saying the new law “discriminates against underage homosexuals”. The criticism comes at a time when Merkel continues to remain silent about the Somali asylum seeker’s knife attack in Würzburg that resulted in the death of three women, and which authorities believe was an Islamic terrorist attack.
At a hearing at the German-French Parliamentary Assembly, Merkel — in response to a question from a German Social Democrat on the EU’s possibilities for enforcing the rule of law — said that the new Hungarian law “recognizes discrimination against homosexual juveniles”. In the “very comprehensive” debate on the legislation at the last European Council, the vast majority of its members underlined that the EU is not only an internal market but also a foundation of values, and that these values cannot be called into question.

During the Wednesday Visegrad Four leader summit in the southern Polish city of Katowice, PM Mateusz Morawiecki transferred the V4 presidential role to PM Viktor Orban. Hungary will lead the V4’s activities from July 1 2021 to June 30 2022.

Portugal: Police Disperse 800 Youngsters at Albufeira’s Praia Da Oura
Maritime Police dispersed a crowd of around 800 youngsters at Albufeira’s Praia da Oura on Saturday evening (July 3).
The youngsters — most of them foreigners and enjoying their school finalists’ trip in the Algarve — were informed about the current Covid-19 rules and advised to avoid large gatherings, the police force said in a statement.
It added that the youngsters, mostly aged 16 to 18, respected their orders and that there were no cases of disobedience.
However this seems to have been more than just a one-off situation in Albufeira, where restaurants and beach bars are being forced to close at 3.30pm on the weekend due to the borough’s epidemiological situation.

Spain Restricts Nightlife as Virus Surges Among the Young
MADRID (AP) — Faced with soaring numbers of new coronavirus infections among unvaccinated young people, some Spanish regions are reinstating curbs on nightlife only weeks after dropping them.

The Head of the German Greens Faces a New Accusation of Plagiarism
Austrian Stefan Weber, nicknamed the “plagiarist hunter,” has already uncovered several public figures and politicians who have claimed authorship of someone else’s works. A look at Weber’s online blog suggests that in recent days, he has been very busy reviewing the work of Annalena Baerbock, the elected leader of the German Greens and a candidate to become the new chancellor.
According to Weber, Baerbock copied whole sentences in several parts in her new book, “Now. How to Recover Our Country,” (in original Jetzt: Wie wir unser Land erneuern) without admitting it. At the same time, the publication is intended to depict her personal view of the political and social issues of today’s Germany. According to Weber, the sources by which the politician was “inspired” are articles in the German media, previously published statements by experts, or professional Internet sources.

Nigel Farage has declared that “Brexit is working” after Nissan announced plans to update its Sunderland factory for building electric cars, in a venture that could create 6,000 new jobs.
On Wednesday, Nissan and partner Envision AESC announced a £1 billion ($1.4bn) investment in England’s Sunderland plant, which will see the factory build the Japanese automobile manufacturer’s next-generation electric car. Envision AESC will also be building a gigafactory — a factory specialising in batteries for electric vehicles. The announcement comes in part thanks to the British government, now unshackled from EU rules, to offer incentives for businesses to operate in the UK.

UK: Brands Reportedly Suffer Consequences of GB News Ad Boycott
The advertising boycott of the recently-launched media outlet GB News might have negatively affected brands’ customer perception, according to Stephan Shakespeare, the CEO of UK-based market research company YouGov.
Multiple advertisers, including top brands such as IKEA, Nivea, and Kopparberg, announced they would stop running ads on GB News, over the media startup’s challenge to the mainstream media.

UK: Morrissey’s New Album is About the Manchester Arena Bombing
Pop icon Morrissey, who has become a pariah to the music industry due to his politically incorrect comments, is about to release an album with a title track that is about the Manchester Arena bombing.
The former Smiths frontman maintains a loyal hardcore fanbase but cannot find a record deal due to the blisteringly honest themes of his work.
The title track of his new album, Bonfire of Teenagers, is about what Morrissey refers to in an interview as “Britain’s 9/11,” the May 2017 Manchester Arena bombing by Islamic jihadist Salman Abedi that claimed the lives of 23 people and injured 800, many of them children.

UK: Three Huddersfield Grooming Gang Rapists Convicted of Abusing Schoolgirl
Banaras Hussain, Mohammed Akram, and Talish Mahmood Ahmed have been convicted of raping a vulnerable schoolgirl from the age of 13 in Huddersfield, England.
The girl, daughter of an abusive single mother as well as a bullying victim, was preyed on from 1995 to 1998, with Hussain, a married man, having initiated the abuse.

UK: Trade Union Demands Masks on Public Transport Remain Compulsory After Lockdown Ends
A major trade union has demanded that masks remain compulsory on public transport after Prime Minister Boris Johnson lifts the last of coronavirus restrictions.
Prime Minister Johnson is expected to announce on Monday that he will be lifting the remaining lockdown restrictions on July 19th, after delaying ‘Freedom Day’ from June 21st, including social distancing rules and the mandate for wearing masks in indoor public settings such as shops and on public transport. Instead, Johnson will be advising Britons to “exercise judgement when going about our lives”.

South Africa: Lockdown Latest: SAPS Warns Citizens Will be Jailed for Breaking Rules
The National Joint Operational and Intelligence Structure (NatJOINTS) has further beefed up its operational capacity in KwaZulu-Natal to clamp down on citizens who are allegedly violating the Lockdown Level 4 Alert regulations.
SAPS national spokesperson Brigadier Vish Naidoo warned that citizens who failed to obey the regulations, including those who organised and attended illegal gatherings, would be fine or jailed.
He said that the policing structure had “enhanced” its operational capacity in the province “in response to incidents in which people are seen to be undermining the authority of the State including the flouting of the DMA (Disaster Management Act) Regulations.

Austria Catches Third Afghan Suspect in Murder of Teenage Girl, Still Looking for Another
Austrian police caught the third suspect in the gang rape and subsequent murder of a 13-year-old girl. As with the two already arrested men, he is also an Afghan immigrant as well as a recidivist who has committed a series of drug offenses in the past. The police are now in search of the fourth suspect, for whom a European arrest warrant has been issued.
After arresting two young Afghans between the ages of 16 and 18 on Thursday night, police detained a 23-year-old asylum seeker from Afghanistan who has lived in Austria since 2015.

France: Man Stabbed to Death by African Migrant at Paris Metro Station
A migrant from Sudan was arrested for allegedly stabbing another man to death during an altercation at a metro station in Paris, France, according to reports.
The 29-year-old suspect was apprehended under suspicion of intentional homicide following the incident, which unfolded at around 10:20 p.m. on Saturday night.
A fight broke out between two men for unknown reasons on a platform at Bercy metro station in the French capital, Le Figaro reports.
“One stabbed the other,” a witness said.

Greek PM Accuses Belarus of Weaponising Migrant Crisis
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis accused Belarus of weaponsing the migrant crisis by encouraging migration flows into Lithuania.
Mitsotakis condemned Belarus for its action via his twitter account in the early hours of Tuesday morning, saying :
“The use of migrants as geopolitical pawns has failed in the past and it will fail once again. We stand with #Lithuania and strongly condemn the use of illegal migration to exert pressure on the EU. We will not be intimidated .”

Lithuania Wants to Bill Lukashenka for Migrants
Lithuania plans to bill Lukashenko to transfer illegal migrants, MEP Petras Austrevicius said on the air of “Current Time.” According to him, this issue will be discussed at a session of the European Parliament.
“We have to pay all these bills, which are all big expenses: to meet the migrants, as well as to provide them with food and medical care and so on — we will collect all these bills and give them to Belarus. And we’ll see which international court will deal with it. I have no doubt that we will raise this issue at the level of the United Nations and at the institutions on migration. So, it will be another shameful stain on Lukashenka’s uniform,” said the MEP.

Ohio Gov Sending 14 State Troopers to US-Mexico Border After Texas Request
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine announced Monday he was dispatching 14 state troopers to the southwestern border region in response to a request for assistance from Texas Gov. Greg Abbott.
In a statement, DeWine’s office said the members of the Ohio State Highway Patrol would be at the border for two weeks to “assist local law enforcement with border surveillance” and would not be deputized to make arrests.

The Madrid Provincial Court on Monday struck down an appeal against a campaign poster targeting unaccompanied migrant minors that was put up by the far-right party Vox ahead of the Madrid regional election on May 4.
The sign, which was posted on April 20 in Madrid’s busy Sol Cercanias commuter train station, used the term mena, the Spanish acronym for an unaccompanied foreign migrant minor, which is often employed to negatively portray children and teenagers who have arrived in Spain without their families.
It read: “€4,700 a month for a mena. €426 a month for your grandmother’s pension” — numbers that were incorrect — and featured images of an elderly woman and a young man wearing a bandana over his face. “Protect Madrid. Vote for safety,” was written in smaller print at the bottom.
The public prosecution filed a complaint that was backed by the Socialist Party (PSOE) asking for the sign to be removed as a precautionary measure. It argued that the poster sought to “transmit a prejudicial image” of foreign migrants by presenting them as “hooded and masked” in order to associate them with criminals.
But the Madrid Provincial Court ruled that the sign was an “election slogan” and did not present ideas that should be “prohibited,” when there were others “just as critical or worse than these.” In the court document, to which EL PAIS has had access, the judges stated that “independently of whether the figures offered are true or not, [foreign migrants] represent an evident social and political problem, with consequences and effects on our international relations, as is well-known. “

Spain: 11 Boats Containing 162 Irregular Migrants Reach Murcian Coastline
Across the weekend the Marine Rescue Services, Cruz Roja, police and coastguard were kept busy by the seemingly endless arrival of dozens of illegal migrants attempting to enter Spain via sea.
By the end of the weekend 162 irregular migrants had been detected and detained, after 11 separate boats were intercepted, spread across Friday evening and Saturday when weather conditions were perfect for the crossing.
The irregular immigrants, all of Algerian nationality, and therefore classed as “economic migrants” were transferred to the port of Cartagena after being picked up out at sea, totalling 137 men, nine women and 16 minors.

Russian Supermarket Sparks Controversy by Pulling Ad With Lesbian Couple
An upscale Russian supermarket has come under fire from both sides after it posted — and then removed — an ad featuring a lesbian couple and their kids shopping at the store.
The health food chain VkusVill rolled out a new ad campaign on Wednesday, the final day of gay pride month, and included an ad showing the family, Aluma and her daughters Mila and Alina, with the mom’s girlfriend, Ksyusha, the BBC reported.
“We think it would be hypocritical not to talk about the real families among our shoppers. We advise you to weigh up all the pros and cons, before reading this article,” the company said in a message.
But by Sunday, the business had removed the ad and replaced it with a statement explaining that it had “hurt the feelings of a big part of our customers, employees, partners and suppliers.”

A woman who complained to cops about a man exposing his genitalia to her 6-year-old daughter says she was told by a police officer that it was her fault.
Yes, really.
The incident occurred at the now notorious Wi Spa in Los Angeles, site of a protest and counter-protest on Saturday over another similar incident during which a biological male exposed his genitals to women and little girls in the female area of the spa.
According to the woman, who wishes to remain anonymous for obvious reasons, the incident happened in January 2020.
