Gates of Vienna News Feed 6/4/2021

A young black man named Winston “Boogie” Smith was shot to death yesterday during an attempt by U.S. Marshals to arrest him on a felony firearms warrant in a parking garage in the Uptown district of Minneapolis. Mr. Boogie allegedly pulled a gun and fired at the arresting officers, and deputies from two neighboring counties returned fire, killing him. A female companion in his vehicle was wounded by glass shards. No Minneapolis police were involved in the incident. After the shooting, protesters gathered in the street outside the parking garage, and when night fell they began burning dumpsters and looting. Mr. Boogie’s family issued a statement demanding justice.

In other news, despite the controversy over newly released emails about Anthony Fauci’s involvement in “gain of function” research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, President Joe Biden expressed his confidence in Dr. Fauci.

Jobs Report Misses Estimates With 559,000 Jobs Added, Unemployment Rate Falls to 5.8%

U.S. employers added fewer than expected jobs last month as extended unemployment benefits encouraged workers to stay home.

Employers added 559,000 jobs in May, the Labor Department said Friday, missing the addition of 650,000 jobs that analysts surveyed by Refinitiv were expecting. April’s reading was revised higher by 12,000 to 278,000.

The unemployment rate, meanwhile, declined 0.3 percentage points to 5.8%, its lowest since the pandemic caused businesses to shut their doors in March 2020.

BCA: Man Shot and Killed by Police Fired From Inside Vehicle; No Footage of Incident

Details came among community grief over the Thursday death of Winston Boogie Smith, 32, another Black man killed by law enforcement in Minnesota. On Friday a group gathered to demand justice while gathered across the street from Stella’s Fish Cafe, where the 32 year-old Smith had enjoyed a final meal before authorities tried to arrest him for being a felon in possession of a gun Thursday afternoon.

“We want to see that footage of what actually happened,” said Kidale Smith, his brother.

Smith’s death brought another wave of protests to the city, where nine were arrested overnight Thursday for property damage in Uptown, police said…

Government’s UFO Report Cannot Explain Aerial Phenomena

The truth is out there, but it might not be in this report.

The US intelligence community has not found evidence that unexplained aerial phenomena seen by Navy pilots are from outer space, but they can’t rule out the possibility or explain the mysterious vehicles, said officials who viewed a classified version of a report to Congress detailing everything the government knows about UFOs.

The report said most of the more than 120 UFO incidents examined over the past two decades were not the work of the US military or government, officials said, according to the New York Times.

The explanation means that the military eyewitnesses who encountered UFOs on an almost “daily basis” off the coast of California in 2017, and shot footage that was verified by defense officials, were not seeing programs the US meant to keep secret.

JPMorgan to Continue Freeze on Donations to Republican Lawmakers That Contested 2020 Election

JPMorgan Chase & Co is set to resume donations to US lawmakers that it paused in the wake of the January 6 Capitol Hill riot, but will not resume donations to Republican lawmakers that contested the results of the 2020 election, Reuters reports.

147 Republican lawmakers voted to overturn the results from the Electoral College after people broke into the Capitol to stop the certification of the Electoral College votes.

According to an internal document obtained by the outlet Friday, JPMorgan will resume giving through its Political Action Committee, but says that the freeze on donations will continue for a “handful” of those 147 lawmakers that it had previously supported.

The bank said that the freeze would remain through the 2021-2022 election cycle which includes the November midterm elections. After that time, JPMorgan said it would reevaluate whether or not to resume donations to those lawmakers.

Looting and Rioting in Minneapolis After Fatal Police Shooting

Looting and rioting broke out in Minneapolis on Thursday night after police fatally shot a man wanted on a gun possession charge.

[…]

On Thursday afternoon, members of a U.S. Marshals task force attempted to arrest a man who was wanted on a warrant for gun possession, according to a statement by a Hennepin County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson sent to Reuters.

The spokesperson said that the suspect, “who was in a parked car, failed to comply and produced a handgun resulting in task force members firing upon the subject.”

The officers attempted to revive the suspect, but paramedics declared him dead at the scene. A woman who was in the car with the suspect at the time of the shooting suffered minor injuries after glass shattered.

The authorities have not yet named the victim, but social media users alleged that the man was 32-year-old Winston Boogie Smith, Jr., according to the Twitter account @CrimeWatchMpls.

‘Never Gave Up’: Cops Crack 1972 Cold-Case Murder of 15-Year-Old Stabbed 36 Times

In 1972, 15-year-old Julia Ann Hanson was found dead in an Illinois cornfield. The teen had been raped and stabbed at least 36 times.

Her family has been “haunted” by the unsolved crime ever since, but finally, after a nearly 50-year wait, authorities say they are bringing her killer to justice.

On Friday, 76-year-old Barry Lee Whelpley was arrested in connection with the July 1972 slaying, Naperville Police Chief Robert Marshall and Will County State’s Attorney James Glasgow said in a joint press conference. Whelpley, who was taken into custody in Minnesota and is awaiting extradition to Illinois, will be charged with three counts of first-degree murder. His bond has been set at $10 million.

“Our department never in five decades gave up looking for Julie’s killer,” Marshall said, adding that investigators used DNA evidence and genealogy to link Whelpley to the crime…

Nonprofit Chief Ignored House Republican Questions About Wuhan Lab: Report

The head of a nonprofit that gave hundreds of thousands in taxpayer funds to a Chinese lab that may be the source of COVID-19 ignored dozens of questions from House Republicans about that deal and related matters, according to a report Friday.

The 34 questions were contained in an April 14 letter sent to Peter Daszak, president of the New York City-based EcoHealth Alliance, the Daily Mail said.

Daszak was given a May 17 deadline to respond but never did, a source close to the House Energy and Commerce Committee told the news outlet.

“Total silence. They seem to be refusing to acknowledge anything from us,” the source said.

“At least when we send a letter to a government agency we get a ‘We got your letter, we’re working on it,’ kind of thing. But from Eco? Zip.”

NYC Shrink Tells Yale Audience She Fantasizes About Shooting White People in Head

A New York City-based psychiatrist told an audience at the Yale School of Medicine in April that she had fantasies of “unloading a revolver into the head of any white person that got in my way.”

Dr. Aruna Khilanani spewed the race-hating virtual remarks — in which she also said she’d walk away from the shooting “with a bounce in my step” and that white people “make my blood boil” and “are out of their minds and have been for a long time” — at the Ivy League institution’s Child Study Center on April 6.

Audio of the talk was posted on the substack online platform of former New York Times opinion writer and editor Bari Weiss on Friday, along with an interview of Khilanani conducted by writer and podcaster Katie Herzog.

A flyer promoting the talk and posted online by Weiss titled the lecture, “The Psychopathic Problem of the White Mind” and included “learning objectives” such as “Set up white people’s absence of empathy towards black rage as a problem” and “Understand how white people are psychologically dependent on black rage.”

Defiant Pastor on the Run From Police in Manitoba, Will Only be Arrested at Church

For decades now, Canada has been a place of refuge for individuals fleeing government tyranny and religious persecution, a place where people could aspire to a better life. Yet now, in real time, we are watching the unravelling of our fundamental rights and freedoms, the very glue that bonds us together, and this is all being done under the cheap guise of “public health and safety.”

This brings me to Pastor Tobias Tissen, a minister at The Church of God in Steinbach, Manitoba.

The situation he has found himself in is truly incredible. As he alludes to here in our exclusive sitdown interview, he is a man of God, a principled man, and one whose family fled to Canada hoping to avoid the very situation he finds himself in today.

As we spoke, there was a warrant out for Pastor Tobias’s arrest, both for hosting church services and other events.

Rebel Reporter Charged for Covering Lockdown Protest in Peterborough, Ontario

How odd. In late April, an anti-lockdown protest took place in Peterborough, Ont.that featured People’s Party of Canada leader Maxime Bernier and Ontario MPP Randy Hillier as the keynote speakers. Hundreds attended this peaceful rally, but even before it began, Peterborough Mayor Diane Therrien made it clear that such opinions were not welcome in her city.

So it was that this Her Wokeness stated the following prior to the rally:

“Hey @randyhillier @MaximeBernier I know you boys are bored but,” the mayor tweeted, along with a photo of herself with a written quote in a bubble stating, “Stay TF home.”

(In terms of “TF,” we assume the T is “the” and the F is a four-letter word that rhymes with “duck.”)

The great orator also tweeted: “The travelling clown convention isn’t welcome here. @randyhillier @MaximeBernier.”

Well, the potty-mouth bozo didn’t scare anyone away. Some 1,200 people assembled at Confederation Square, home of Peterborough’s cenotaph.

It was a joyous occasion — until Bernier and Hillier left the podium. That’s because both were promptly intercepted by members of the Peterborough Police Service and given tickets for the egregious crime… of speaking in a public park?

Imagine that? Elected politicians being given tickets for exercising their right to free speech in 2021 Canada?

The mood in the park turned livid, as Peterborough cops endured a deluge of expletives and middle fingers as they handed out tickets.

And my cameraman Mocha and I were ringside covering all the action. And apparently, this is verboten in Peterborough, given that last weekend I was served with a Section 7.0.2. summons under the laughably-named Reopening Ontario Act.

Chinese Virologist Says Fauci’s Emails ‘Verify’ Her Wuhan Lab Leak Claims

A Chinese virologist who was among the first to suggest COVID-19 leaked from a Wuhan lab has said that Dr. Anthony Fauci’s emails prove she was right all along.

Dr. Li-Meng Yan was one of the first to research the emerging coronavirus and previously revealed she was forced into hiding after accusing Beijing of a cover-up.

Now, as international leaders finally focus on her Wuhan lab-leak theory, the scientist told Newsmaxthat Fauci’s emails contain “a lot of useful information” suggesting he always knew more than he revealed.

“They verify my work from the very beginning, even from last January, that these people know what happened, but they choose to hide for the Chinese Communist Party and for their own benefits,” Yan insisted of the treasure trove of documents released this week.

Fauci Calls on China to Release Medical Records of Wuhan Lab Workers

Dr. Anthony Fauci has reportedly called on China to release the medical records of nine people who fell sick with COVID-like illness — saying they might provide vital clues into whether the deadly virus first emerged as the result of a lab leak in Wuhan.

The records concern three researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology who reportedly fell ill in November 2019, and six miners who became sick after entering a bat cave in 2012, according to the Financial Times.

Scientists from the institute later visited the cave to take samples from the bats. Three of the miners died.

“I would like to see the medical records of the three people who are reported to have got sick in 2019. Did they really get sick, and if so, what did they get sick with?” Fauci told the Financial Times on Thursday about some in the group.

[Comment: The Chinese are not going to cooperate on this.]

Microsoft Censors Image Search Results for Tiananmen Square ‘Tank Man’

On the 32nd anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre, Big Tech search engines led by Microsoft censored image results across the world for “tank man,” a reference to the lone protester who stood in front of Chinese tanks.

Google’s Threat Analysis Group director Shane Huntley first pointed out the phenomenon. “I know Microsoft censor for the CCP in China, but this search is from the US,” Huntley tweeted Friday. Security researcher Kevin Beaumont also tweeted the same empty result from the United Kingdom.

Scientist at Center of Lab Leak Controversy Put in Charge of the Lancet’s Task Force to Investigate Virus Origin

Revered scientific journal The Lancet has created a ‘task force’ to investigate the origins of the coronavirus that caused a global pandemic, yet it has decided to employ as its leader the very guy who funded the dangerous gain of function research at the Wuhan lab and subsequently allegedly ‘bullied’ other scientists into avoiding looking into the lab as a potential source of the outbreak.

In the wake of renewed scrutiny of the lab leak hypothesis, the Lancet’s task force will reportedly “focus on analyzing data on all of the theories put forward on the origins of COVID, on the reasons why SARS-CoV-2 was able to break out of Wuhan and spread globally, and on the most plausible strategies to prevent future pandemics.”

It also states that “The Task Force will review thoroughly and objectively all publicly available evidence, particularly the peer-reviewed literature, and conduct interviews with key leaders in science, medicine, policy and civil society.”

‘Objectively’. Right.

US-Linked Chinese Military Scientist Filed Patent for COVID Vaccine Just After Contagion Emerged: Report

A Chinese Communist Party military scientist who got funding from the National Institutes of Health filed a patent for a COVID-19 vaccine in February last year — raising fears the shot was being studied even before the pandemic became public, according to a new report.

Zhou Yusen, a decorated military scientist for the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) who worked alongside the Wuhan Institute of Virology as well as US scientists, filed a patent on Feb. 24 2020, according to documents obtained by The Australian.

The patent — lodged by the “Institute of Military Medicine, Academy of Military Sciences of the PLA” — was filed just five weeks after China admitted there was human-to-human transmission of the virus, and months before Zhou died under mysterious circumstances, the report noted.

  1. What will it take to knock Fauci down? Seems the man has accumulated an amazing amount of teflon. Is he keeping a blackmail book?

        • vera: You ask a reasonable question. President Trump had a Shakespearean flaw (knack, talent?) for surrounding himself with bad actors.

        • Trump did not pick him.
Fauci is an unelected, unaccountable bureaucrat that worked for the US government for 30 years.
He is a typical example of a swamp creature.

    • If I may create a conspiracy theory:

He is the one in control of the vial with the virus that turns the COVID “vaccines” into poison.

      On the other hand:
If they dont drop him, then they need him sometime later.
Maybe he will then be sacrificed to the public or suicided.

I am reminded of a report not to long ago (I really hate not to have an eidetic memory!).
There it was mantioned that certain people who voiced their unconditional support for multikulti were suddenly confronted with misdeeds from their past and despite their immediate groveling were shut down.
Yes, you sold your soul, got rich, famous, but in the end you are expendable. Just like a napkin.

  2. Oh look! Another thug got a slug for being a thug, lesson people, don’t be a thug if you can’t take a slug.

  3. “Mr. Boogie’s family issued a statement demanding justice.”

Justice was already served. The criminal that started the shooting to avoid being arrested received a dose of lead justice.

  4. So the ghetto apes attack whites daily and little is said about it. But a feral and violent ghetto ape is put down by law enforcement and the other apes riot in the streets, destroying everything around them, and that’s okay. It’s not worth any riot control measures at all.

My inner dictator has some fantasies about how to handle the ghetto apes. All their howling about whitey is reflected on them in my mind, but I don’t howl out loud like they do. But at some point, they will need to be dealt with.

    • They keep hyping on how they will kill all the whites, I say to them, go for it, then we can finally finish it. Once and for all time.
