Cherry Creek Schools Hotly Debates Critical Race Theory, How History Should be Taught

DENVER (KDVR) — The Cherry Creek Schools monthly board meeting turned into a passionate debate about how history should be taught in the classroom.

On Wednesday’s agenda, the board was due to vote on revising its resources and materials for its social studies curriculum.

In April, the superintendent sent a letter home to parents saying, “We are working collaboratively with teachers and administrators to review existing curricular resources through a lens of racial and cultural relevance.”

Here’s what we know: no curriculum or curricular resource is perfect. However, it is critical that we identify resources that accurately reflect the contributions and narratives of our diverse community.”

The board clearly stated Wednesday night that Cherry Creek Schools has not and is not adopting the Critical Race Theory. However, it has sparked a fierce debate about the issue among parents.

“Things have gotten really radical lately. They’ve been pushing a lot of politics in classrooms at a young age,” one parent, who declined to give her name, told FOX31.

Rochester Resident Who Posted Molotov Cocktail Recipe on Social Media During Protests Pleads Guilty to Civil Disorder

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. announced today that Ryan Howe a/k/a Rylea Autumn, 27, of Rochester, NY, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Charles J. Siragusa to civil disorder. The charge carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Brett A. Harvey, who is handling the case, stated that in September 2020, there were violent protests and riots in Rochester over the deaths of George Floyd and Daniel Prude. In addition, on September 23, 2020, the Kentucky Attorney General announced that a grand jury had declined to indict police officers in relation to the death of Breonna Taylor. In the wake of the Kentucky Attorney General’s announcement, several members of the public — including people and groups in Rochester — expressed their disagreement with the decision not to charge the officers and declared their intention to protest in the evening on September 24, 2020. Through social media, several of these individuals expressed, in sum and substance, a desire to burn down the City of Rochester. A group of approximately 250 people protested in the streets of Rochester in the evening on September 24, 2020. Rochester Police Department officers were present at the protest for the purposes of, among other things, ensuring the safety of protesters and the public, and protecting property from damage.

On September 23, 2020, the defendant posted a message to Facebook, which included a link to an article about the grand jury’s decision not to indict certain officers in the Breonna Taylor case and the statement, “Burn this shit to the (expletive) ground.” The next day, on September 24, 2020, Howe posted a message to Facebook, which read, “Good morning to everyone ready to burn this whole (expletive) country to the ground!” That same day, at approximately 8:32 a.m., the defendant also posted a message on his Facebook account that included a recipe for a Molotov cocktail and guidance on how to use one against police officers.

Scientist Recovers DELETED Genetic Data Proving COVID Virus Was Likely Circulating in Wuhan BEFORE Wet Market Cases

A scientist at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle claims to have located genetic sequences from early coronavirus cases in China and says that they show the virus was circulating in Wuhan before any cases were linked to the infamous wet market.

Virologist Jesse Bloom has over 30 samples that are genetically more similar to bat coronaviruses than any other previously known sequences. The samples were originally submitted as part of a Wuhan University project.

Bloom says he recovered the data that was deleted from a US National Institutes of Health database by searching on Google Cloud. The NIH allowed the deletion of data from its databases in June 2020 by a Chinese scientist who originally submitted it, according to reports.

The data then also disappeared from there China National GeneBank where it had previously resided.

‘The Critical Qur’an’: #1 Bestseller in ‘History of Islam’ Five Months Before Release

By Robert Spencer

It looks as if there is a tremendous amount of interest, for which I am grateful, in my forthcoming book The Critical Qur’an: Explained from Key Islamic Commentaries and Contemporary Historical Research, which will be published in November by Bombardier Books. Even though it won’t be available for five months, it has already zoomed to the #1 spot in Amazon’s “History of Islam” category. Clearly people are tired of being lied to by those who insist, in the face of near-daily jihad violence, that Islam is a religion of peace. The Critical Qur’an provides an honest translation of the Qur’anic text, plus extensive explanatory notes showing how the text is understood in mainstream Islamic traditions. It is also the first Qur’an edition ever to include variant readings from Qur’anic manuscripts that differ from what has become the standard version.

Saudi Arabia: Economy Drags Riyadh Into the ‘Post-Wahhabi’ Era (More Than Rights)

The Saudi kingdom opens up to yoga, fast-tracking of foreign publications and deletes references to non-Muslims as pigs and monkeys from school texts. Bin Salman’s nation rebuilt from “foundations” based on money, safeguarding Islam. Government consultant says opening of a church on the “to do list”.

Riyadh (AsiaNews) — Yoga classes; preferential channels for the approval of publications imported from abroad; revision of school texts, to remove disparaging references to non-Muslims: There is a silent revolution underway in the Wahhabi kingdom.

The reforms, wanted by the crown prince Mohammad bin Salman (Mbs), aim to free religion from a radical vision and open the country to the international economy. But not without a price.

If, on the one hand, Riyadh requires mosques and muezzins to turn down the volume of the loudspeakers, on the other hand it arms the hand of the executioner by executing people who were minors at the time of the crime.

On 21 June last, to coincide with the international day, the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Saudi Arabia and India, aimed at promoting yoga in the kingdom. An agreement that provides for the collaboration between the Saudi Ministry of Sport and the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, affiliated with the Indian department of Ayush (dedicated to medicine and traditional practices, from Ayurveda to yoga, from naturopathy to Siddha). Among the objectives, to strengthen the awareness of the physical and mental benefits related to the practice of the discipline born in India.

Meanwhile, the head of the General Commission for Audiovisual Media (Gcam) has streamlined the operations necessary for the approval of foreign publications, cutting time by up to 30 days compared to the past. This measure, executives explain, will also serve to combat fraud or the under-the-counter distribution of pirated copies. It will also guarantee the go-ahead for the marketing, within the year, of at least 300,000 new titles and will give a new impetus to sales that have so far suffered from unfair competition from other Arab publishing houses.

Finally, the progressive erosion of the power of Islamic leaders — and of the feared religious police who do not disdain violence to enforce the precepts of the faith — is seen in the choice to review school texts, the basis on which to build respect and coexistence from an early age.

Activists and movements in defense of minority rights applaud the decision to ban derogatory terms such as monkeys and pigs to indicate believers of other religions.

In freeing the country from dependence on oil, one of the foundations of the “Vision 2030” program, bin Salman is attempting — albeit very carefully — to counter the radical implantation of the Muslim faith. Reforms introduced over the last two years by Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman (MbS) have brought some changes to social life and civil rights; for example, women are now allowed to drive cars and can attend reserved sections in sport stadiums.

Some reforms have also touched the religious sphere. However, this has not prevented the authorities from cracking down on top government officials, business leaders, activists and other critics, not to mention the Khashoggi affair, which cast a broad shadow over the reform process.

Aziz Alghashian, an expert on Islam at the University of Essex, points out that “the nation is rebuilding itself from its foundations” and is increasingly oriented towards “economics” and profit, rather than the religious sphere, “in an attempt to appear more attractive for investors “. Or “less intimidating”, while still being far from the Dubai model. Despite this, the change is real, just think that today some shops and shopping centers remain open during the five moments of Islamic prayer. An unthinkable event in the past, with the teams of the “vice habit” that with blows of the stick imposed the closures.

Some timid glimmers also seem to emerge in terms of religious freedom: if the practice of a faith other than Islam remains prohibited, government consultant Ali Shihabi told the US media Insider that allowing the construction of at least one church is “on the list of things to do “of the Saudi leadership. And even on the subject of alcohol, although the authorities categorically exclude a green light for consumption, it is equally true that behind closed doors “this happens” with the approval of the authorities. “It is not an exaggeration to say — Kristin Diwan of the Arab Gulf States Institute in Washington told AFP — that Saudi Arabia has entered a post-Wahhabi phase. Religion no longer has the power of veto over the economy, social life and foreign policy “.

Bangladesh: Pandemic Drives Up the Number of Child Brides by 13 Per Cent

By Sumon Corraya

Local NGOs speak out against this terrible practice. Growing poverty is behind the rise in child marriages. A victim, who can no longer go to school, tells her story. Bangladesh is one of the top 10 countries in the world for child marriage

Dhaka (AsiaNews) — Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, child marriages are on the rise in Bangladesh, up by 13 per cent since the start of the health emergency, this according to data presented at a recent virtual seminar organised by NGOs opposed to this terrible practice.

Bangladesh is already one of the top 10 countries in the world in terms of child marriage with 51 per cent of brides aged under 18, this according to a UN report, this despite the fact that, in Bangladesh, the legal age for marriage is 18, in some cases16.

During the seminar a child bride named Arju Akter spoke about her experience. “During the pandemic my father lost his job. He arranged a marriage for me when I was in Grade 7. I tried to refuse, but failed.” Now that she’s married and no longer going to school.

For Chandan Gomes, senior operations director at World Vision Bangladesh, “this is painful since sustainable development goals include ending child marriage”.

According to a survey by this NGO, 95 per cent of families in Bangladesh have faced economic difficulties due to the pandemic, which has increased poverty in the country. “As a result many parents have arranged marriages for their children,” Gomes explained.

Child marriages declined in the past noted Rashed Khan Menon, a member of the Bangladeshi parliament and chairman of the Standing Committee on the Ministry of Education; however, this trend has been reversed.

The lawmaker, who plans to bring the issue to the attention of the government, points to various causes, such as “poverty, culture, security” as well as “child labour”.

“Child marriage is a significant violation of children’s human rights,” added Shaheen Anam, executive director of the Manusher Jonno Foundation, “depriving them of the possibility of growing up properly.”

“A parent who thinks about marrying a minor child must be stopped by the government. A zero tolerance policy must be adopted,” she said.

Child marriage is not an issue in Bangladesh’s small Catholic community, thanks to strict supervision Church authorities.

UK: Iraqi Refugee Who Ran Al Qaeda Twitter Account Wins Right to Challenge Deportation From UK

An Iraqi refugee who ran an Al Qaeda social media account from the UK has won the right to appeal against her deportation.

The woman, who was not named in court, posted more than 45,000 tweets in Arabic to more than 8,000 followers.

Her posts encouraged beheadings and urged people to travel abroad to join Al Qaeda and ISIS.

The woman, 29, served a three-and-half-year jail sentence for terrorism offences, after which the Home Office attempted to deport her.

In sentencing, Judge Charles Wide said her conduct had “affected international peace and security”.

She arrived in the UK with her mother aged 15 when she was granted discretionary leave to remain.

But after her conviction, the Home Office removed those rights and refused her application for asylum.

Since Iraq had been designated a dangerous place, she was granted restricted leave to remain, but without the protection of refugee status.

The woman challenged the Home Office’s decision in London’s High Court where Lord Justice Warby granted her the right to appeal.

‘Hungarians Are Not Afraid Anymore’ — PM Orban Praises Hungarian Stadiums Displaying Country’s Tri-Color Flag

Although a last-minute decision of the sport’s governing body, the UEFA, prevented Munich’s Allianz Arena from being clad in the colors of the rainbow, the issue remained evident both in Munich — where the Hungarian national team faced Germany in a make-or-break match on Wednesday — and all around Hungary, where stadiums across the country sported the Hungarian tricolor during the match.

Munich featured rainbow colors in response to Hungary’s anti-pedophile law, which critics claim discriminates against LGBT people.

Despite the UEFA ban, several other buildings in the Bavarian capital sported the colors of the rainbow, and there were several reports of German police harassing Hungarian supporters arriving there for the game.

“The time has come when Hungarians were no longer afraid. I am proud of you!” Hungarian Prime Minister wrote in a Facebook post, accompanied by a photo montage showing the illuminated stadiums all around the country.

  2. Muslims belief is that after over fifty years of intimidation and fear mongering rape and murder the hated Christian indigenous have had any will to resist “knocked out of them”.

    • Just wait until the European man gets angry enough to act. The bloodshed that is coming is going to be epic.

      • I fear that the poking and prodding will have enraged the European man so much that guilt or innocence be damned consign them all to the ash heap of history.

        • When the games begin, nobody is going to care what kind of 3rd worlder they are, they will all be purged.

        • Those who refuse to call terror by its real name and happily march in protest against white male privilege. The same males that gave them the vote , the right to dress as they please , drive , and abort, absolutely guarantee that their daughters will be backwards like never before.

          • These lefty’s and 3rd world sub humans really have no idea what terror is, but soon to their collective horror they will find out that it is not nice to make the white man angry.

Masks again? Surely dementia or dictatorship.
Clear the internet from ‘hate’? Leads to the same conclusions.

  6. I have no idea what sort of culture enricher this murderous savage is, but he killed at least 3 people and injured six others in Wurzburg , Germany before a squad of cops was able to get things under control.

    From the article:

man ‘killed at least three people and wounded six’ in a street rampage before German police shot him in the leg and arrested him, local media reports.

“Police identified the suspect, who was wearing a face mask, as a 24-year-old Somali man living in Wurzburg, Germany. His life was not in danger from his gunshot wound, a spokeswoman said. The force said multiple people had been killed and injured, but did not give details. There has been no word yet on the possible motive for the attack.”

I am SO GLAD to hear that this human scum barbarian’s life was not in danger from his gunshot wound!

    • there is sort of a sarcastic saying in german when
” shot in the leg ” is concerned.
Leg( Bein) is an archaic expression for bone in general too.
: So why did the police not aim at Brustbein( collarbone)
      or Stirnbein) ,frontbone?
A policeman told me that shooting, if ever, is trained in the de- escalating way, least possible harm to target.

      • So, you served in the german army, too?

I remember my instructor during guard training telling us, only to aim for the arms or legs.
Of course in german you have the wordgame you mentioned.
German: Wir zielen auf das Bein. Brustbein, Stirnbein.
English: We aim for the leg. Collarbone, Frontbone.

        • yes, Axel. In the sixties.
And the policy on guard duty was: first at target, then into the air. Two shell casings
prove that you tried to deterre the perp first.

          • Our instructor told us to fire into the earth, because then you have evidence that you fired a warning shot.

        • In the Marine Corps, it is one shot, one kill. You do not shoot to wound for deader is always better. Unless you use one as bait of course.

          • G, in terms of GDP, centermass is counter- productive. Just a cheap funeral. No big deal.
Figure the benefits of the perp surviving: ICU for six weeks, some 100k $, then trial with lawyers paid by the taxpayer, then guaranteed jobs in the penitentiary system.
Come on, G, let us keep free markets busy.

          • Herb, cheap funeral? They have coal fired power plants that need to be used, the 3rd worlders contribution to electricity. Never complicate a simple issue. 😉

  7. Jesus just look at the trash running the UK. Bozo like a foreign used car sales scammer. Surrounded by users of all sorts. Meanwhile the Islamic invaders pore in. Are we waiting for one our integrated Muslims to blow up a parliament somewhere? It looks like it – certainly to the Muslim I imagine.
