After Reopening, Chicago Illegal Parties Taskforce Now Covering Illegal Activity

CHICAGO (CBS) — Dangerous, illegal parties in hotels, businesses and vacation rentals.

CBS 2’s Tara Molina reports on the hundreds of citations issued by a special city task force, created during the pandemic.

The task force will continue that work, even now with the city fully reopened.

With a focus on preventing illegal, dangerous parties from leading to criminal offenses, something we’ve seen across the city throughout the past year and half.

A video from Lan’s in Old Town showed a pandemic party like few had seen before, spurred a lot of conversation this past winter.

It ended with an apology from the restaurant for what it called “desperate actions” with city restrictions ravaging the restaurants industry.

CBS 2 found, through a public records request, it also led to two citations from the city’s Large Gathering Task Force, for violating the city’s health orders.

A month later? Cited again, that time for smoking inside, and again, violating health orders.

They’re just a handful of the 1,018 citations issued by that task force, that started up last July, working with the Department of Buildings, the Chicago Fire Department and the Chicago Police Department on more than 900 investigations.

Amazon and other technology giants could be forced to either split into two companies or shed their private-label products under a new bill under preparation by House lawmakers, according to documents viewed by the Wall Street Journal.

The bill, which could be announced as soon as today, “could mandate structural separation of Amazon and other technology giants that Congress spent 15 months investigating as part of an inquiry into the size and power of Big Tech,” according to the report. Another bill potentially coming Friday targets the ability of big tech to pump their own products over their platforms over their competitors.

Biden Administration Launches Task Force to Share Census and Health Data With Private Companies

The Biden administration has launched a task force that will allow private companies like Google as well as researchers to access large sets of sensitive data about Americans that were previously collected and available only to the government.

The reasoning behind the initiative is supposedly to remain competitive with other countries, notably China and Russia, in the realm of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Those who will be given access to this data will be expected to come up with “great ideas” on how to put AI to use.

Chicago Cops No Longer Permitted to Chase Suspects on Foot for Some Offenses

Chicago police will be adopting a new foot chase police that looks to limit when an officer can engage in the tactic. This comes after two cases of police killing someone they were in pursuit of on foot.

The new policy, which goes into effect on June 11, prohibits foot chases in connection to minor traffic offenses or for criminal offenses less than a Class A misdemeanor, “unless the person poses an obvious threat to the community or any person,” according to USA Today.

The policy says that foot pursuits are now “appropriate only when there is probable cause for an arrest or it is believed an individual has committed, is committing or is about to commit a crime.”

Homeowner Found Dead After Explosions, Fires in Eagleville Police Standoff

Authorities believe homemade fireworks chemicals, ammunition led to destructive blasts

An armed man who was involved in a police standoff that escalated into a series of house fires Thursday has been found dead in the rubble of his Eagleville home, Montgomery County prosecutors said.

Thomas Razzi, 65, remained in his property during a chaotic scene that destroyed two other townhomes and caused damage to another three, investigators said. His body has been positively identified.

Just before noon on Thursday, Lower Providence Township Police received a 911 call from a witness who said a township code enforcement officer was being chased by a man with a gun. The code enforcement officer had visited the property, located at 4045 Cardin Place, to perform a follow-up inspection for known hoarding conditions, prosecutors said.

When the code enforcement officer entered the home, Razzi displayed a firearm, according to investigators. The officer left the property and was able to ask a neighbor to call police. The officer also called 911 and explained the dangerous situation.

Two Lower Providence policer officers responded to the scene and confronted Razzi in front of his home. Razzi was not armed at the time and retreated into his home, slamming the door behind him, prosecutors said.

Additional police officers arrived at the scene and established a perimeter around the property.

A short time later, a series of loud explosions and gunfire could be heard coming from inside Razzi’s home. Authorities believe Razzi was the source of explosions and gunfire. Officers did not exchange gunfire with Razzi at any time…

Hydroxychloroquine Supporters Who Were Censored Online Feel Vindicated by New Study

It’s no secret that the Covid pandemic was in many instances weaponized to censor former President Donald Trump, by his political opponents and traditional and social media companies.

Trump’s position and policy on a number of issues — from the origin of the virus to the best way to treat the disease — was consistently censored online as misleading and dangerous misinformation, even though the WHO’s main objection to using the drugs Hydroxychloroquine and Azithromycin was that they are allegedly ineffective rather than harmful.

The censorship of many ideas over the last year and the speed at which social media companies labeled them “conspiracy theories” to get them censored, highlighted how much power these companies have over public discourse and how there’s little accountability when they’re found to be wrong.

The Legal Insurrection Foundation released an interactive map that allows individuals to track Critical Race Theory training in education.

As Campus Reform has reported, Critical Race Theory training has been used by colleges and universities as a form of “diversity” training for students and faculty. Former President Donald Trump signed an executive order in 2020 banning these types of training. President Joe Biden reversed this order shortly after being sworn in.

Over 24 Cops Raided the Wrong Address and Wrecked an Elderly Man’s Home. They All Got Qualified Immunity.

Onree Norris was 78 years old when a swarm of police officers raided his Georgia home without warning in 2018, bombarding the place with two flash-bang grenades, careening through the door with a battering ram, and placing Norris under arrest.

He was later released when cops with the Henry County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team and the Flint Circuit Drug Task Force realized their suspect actually lived next door.

“Something went off like a bomb in my house,” Norris told local news in September of 2020.

The botched raid set off a legal odyssey that reached its denouement last month when a federal court confirmed that the cop at the center of the operation was entitled to qualified immunity. Norris will thus be barred from suing for the violation of his civil rights.

“We found that most mass shooters in our study experienced undiagnosed and unmedicated psychiatric illness,” the researchers noted.

Describing the findings as “striking,” the study notes that symptoms of clinical psychiatric disorders were identified in almost all the shooters, 32 out of 35.

Teen Girls’ ER Visits for Suicide Attempts Increased 51% During Pandemic: CDC Report

A new report out from the CDC shows that there was a substantial uptick in emergency department visits by teen girls for suicide attempts during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report was released on Friday, and it showed that weekly emergency room visits for teen girls between the ages of 12 and 17 were up by nearly 51 percent to March 2021. The visits included ones for self-harm that was not intended to take life.

Responding to Dr Fauci’s claims earlier this week that any criticism of him equates to an attack on science itself, Tucker Carlson pointed out that with the ‘bizarre’ comments, Fauci “instantly disqualified himself as a scientist.”

“Science is not a book that you check out of the library or look up on Wikipedia,” Carlson continued, adding “Science is a way of thinking and it begins with deep skepticism about what we think we know. You commit to science when you take nothing for granted, when you ask hard questions.”

Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood Called a Deputy-Involved Shooting on Thursday an “Ambush in Waiting.”

Sheriff Mike Chitwood says deputies were called to the home on Tanglewood Road for a domestic disturbance.

The woman left the home and called 911, telling deputies the man threatened to kill responding law enforcement and then kill himself.

As deputies arrived, the sheriff says it was dark and one of the first responding officers, a senior deputy, took his time, carefully approaching down a long driveway.

Chitwood says that’s when the man, standing outside, pointed a gun at the deputy. It is unclear if the man fired at the deputy.

The senior deputy fired at the man, hitting him twice. The man retreated to a boat shed where deputies were eventually able to talk him into putting his weapon down and giving up.

The sheriff says his deputies immediately started rendering lifesaving aid. According to authorities, they found at least six firearms, placed strategically inside that boat shed.

“Stand While You Can, Before You Can’t”

Day two of religious freedom protest in Edmonton

Thursday evening marked the second installment of the two-day Battle for Canada Worship Rally at the Alberta legislature grounds organized, in part, by Kelowna Pastor Art Lucier of Harvest Fellowship.

Approximately 300 people gathered in front of the infamous Sky Palace building to the north of the legislature building to send a message to Premier Jason Kenney’s UCP government that the state should not be using pandemic restrictions to interfere in the autonomy of churches.

On Thursday, Alberta moved into Stage 2 reopening, moving church capacity from 15 per cent of fire code to one third.

However, Fairview Baptist Church in Calgary remains confiscated by Alberta Health Services and GraceLife Church west of Edmonton remains fenced off at the direction of the province’s health bureaucracy. GraceLife is currently suing the province for the return of the building.

Millions in Charges Issued to COVID Travel Rule-Breakers

Public health enforcers have issued millions’ worth of charges to air travellers for violating federal quarantine rules according to records shared in the House of Commons.

Blacklock’s Reporter detailed how during an inquiry discussed in the House showed that travellers who refused to stay in quarantine hotels racked up fines totalling $2,964,000. Records showed that 988 individuals were each issued $3,000 fines for “refusing to go to government-approved accommodation” — the majority of which were issued at Pearson International Airport in Toronto.

The fines stem from an order issued in early January when Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s government laid new requirements for air travellers in early January. These new rules mandated that before entering Canada, travellers were required to have taken an approved test for COVID three days before arriving in the country.

Hungarian National Team Refuses to Kneel for BLM at Budapest Match, Ireland Takes the Knee

As was expected, the Hungarian national team did not kneel before the last friendly match with Ireland, just four days before the kick-off of the European Championship co-hosted by Hungary, news and opinion portal Mandiner writes.

The protest form, which began in the sporting world with ex-NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick, also broke into Euroepan football last year, along with the growing Black Lives Matter movement after the death of George Floyd. At the European Championship, members of the English national team will kneel before the matches, although there were spectators in the British stadiums before the home-run preparation matches who did not like it.

However, the players of the Hungarian team will not kneel at any point during the championship matches, according to a statement by Hungarian national football federation MLSZ, the Hungarian national team will not only follow the international rules and norms in all cases, but will give respect to everyone — be it an opponent, a fan or anyone else.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson has compared himself and President Joe Biden to wartime leaders Sir Winston Churchill and Franklin Delano Roosevelt.

Speaking shortly after the 77th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy, the commemoration of which was once again heavily disrupted by coronavirus restrictions, Prime Minister Johnson suggested that his meeting with the U.S. Democrat at the G7 summit in Cornwall is not unlike Churchill and Roosevelt meeting in 1941 to agree the Atlantic Charter.

The Lord Rose of Monewden, chairman of the official Remain campaign during the EU referendum, has admitted that “Project Fear” was exaggerated and voters did not buy into it.

Speaking almost five years after the 2016 vote to Leave the European Union, Stuart Rose, who headed the official Britain Stronger In Europe (BSE) campaign in 2016, told ITV News that he had strong personal misgivings about the decision to “really… hit people on the financials” and exaggerate the immediate economic impact of a vote to Leave the EU — a strategy which became known as ‘Project Fear’.

UK: Doctor Who Wants Indefinite Lockdown Says “Sadly, It Can’t be Forever”

A doctor who argued that the UK’s COVID-19 lockdown should remain in place indefinitely may have inadvertently revealed his true thoughts by letting slip the comment, “sadly, it can’t be forever.”

Yes, really.

The remark was made by National Health Action Party’s Doctor Richard Taylor during a fiery interview hosted by Julia Hartley-Brewer on TalkRADIO.

Hartley-Brewer challenged Taylor’s ‘zero COVID’ argument after the doctor suggested that some form of lockdown should remain in place until the virus is entirely eradicated, which is a scientific impossibility.

UK: Tony Blair Suggests Unvaccinated Should Remain Under Lockdown Restrictions

Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair implied that those who choose not to be vaccinated should be discriminated against by remaining under lockdown restrictions if the UK’s June 21st “freedom day” is to be accomplished.

During an interview with ITV News, Blair was asked if he would delay the June 21st deadline, when all social distancing, mask mandates and other lockdown rules are supposed to come to an end.

Blair said that if the data suggested the June 21st date was at risk, the government should “look again at distinguishing between those people who are vaccinated and those people who aren’t because it really makes no sense to treat the two groups as if they’re the same.”

Croatia Refuses to ‘Take a Knee’, Says it’s a Political Gesture Against UEFA Rules

The Croatian national football team says its players will refuse to ‘take a knee’ before their Euro 2020 games because the stunt is an explicitly political gesture which would violate UEFA rules.

The argument made in the UK for England players taking the knee, despite being booed for it by their own fans, is that the gesture is merely a symbolic anti-racism stance and doesn’t equate to any form of political messaging.

However, the gesture only started being performed in the UK after the death of George Floyd last year and is inextricably linked with Black Lives Matter, a divisive, violent, extremist far-left political movement.

With Croatia set to play England at Wembley next week, the Croatian Federation said that its players would not be taking a knee before the match and will instead remain standing.

18 Men Running in Mexican Elections as Women Shows the Absurdity of Global Gender Ideology

The mainstream media likes to ignore the increasingly frequent events which reveal the absurdity of gender ideology. This is why no one in Poland mentioned the situation which took place during the recent elections in Mexico. In the state of Tlaxcala, 18 politicians starting from the lists of the center-left Fuerza Por Mexico party registered as women despite being men.

This happened due to the quota system present in Mexico, which requires all political groups to put forward a certain index of women in elections. Based on this, the election commission rejected Fuerza Por Mexico’s registration in Tlaxcala and ordered the removal of 18 activists and their replacement by women.

Instead of stepping down, the 18 politicians ran in the elections by registering as women. The actual state of someone’s gender is not important to the commission and “the declaration of a candidate that he is the women cannot be legally put into question”.

Facebook Fails to Police Human Smugglers Sneaking Migrants Into US, Report Finds

Nineteen pages on Facebook purportedly offering human smuggling services to help migrants illegally cross the U.S.-Mexico border remained active on the platform for a least a month despite the company being notified about them, a report says.

The groups advertise things like routes and prices for those looking to make the perilous journey — and some other ones that have been discovered appear to have links to Mexican drug cartels, according to an investigation by the Tech Transparency Project.

“The prevalence of human smuggling on Facebook shows the company’s inability, or unwillingness, to identify and deal with dangerous content on its platform, even on a prominent national issue — in this case, the migrant surge at the U.S.-Mexico border,” the website said in its report this week.

DeSantis Would Ban Trans Surgeries for Minors

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is taking a stand against the medical abuse of minors, stating that he would “for sure” sign legislation banning transgender surgeries for minors.

Over the past few weeks, DeSantis has come out swinging against Chinese influence on American businesses, Big Tech censorship, and vaccination passports in a series of strong legislative bills that are quickly becoming a blueprint for other conservative governors in the United States.

DeSantis also signed into law a bill protecting girls’ and women’s sports.

Speaking to the Daily Caller, the elected head of the Sunshine State explained that he was “very much opposed” to the procedure, which has been rebranded and promoted as “trans-affirming healthcare” by its advocates.

Virginia Girl Slams School Board for Transgender Locker Room Policy

A 14-year-old Virginia girl has lashed out at her school district — claiming that its policy to allow transgender children to use female locker rooms is “dangerous” and “rooted in sexism.”

“Two years ago, I was told policy 1040 was just an umbrella philosophy and you weren’t going to allow boys into the girls’ locker rooms. But here you are doing just that,” eighth-grader Jolene Grover told the school district at a board meeting Tuesday, Fox News reported.

Jolene was referring to the Loudoun County Public Schools’ recent 8350 policy, which states in a draft that “students should be allowed to use the facility that corresponds to their gender identity,” according to the news outlet.

The teen, who was wearing a shirt that read “Woman is female,” defiantly told the board members: “Everyone knows what a boy is — even you.”

  1. first step for recovery of african countries should be that their despotic cleptomanic upperclass sells its assets in tax havens worldwide. Included lofts on the upper east side and mansions on the french riviera.
Some years ago, there was a report about the son of the secretary of sports and health( a real bigshot by all means) of some minor west african country residing in St.Tropez who had a Rolls Royce convertible in different colours for every day of the week. And the females in his company were cheap, but looked very expensive.

  2. Yes agree Hub-have seen first hand the corruption undertaken by the Africam politicans and their like-Africa has no chance of gaining anything worthwhile until the attitude alters, whicj I doubt, what they do is in their Psyche, cannot be changed-they have leant, and still do lean on the benefits of what the western world has achieved over the last 2000 years.

  3. It is pretty rich of Boris the Johnson to complain about the inability of Ms Priti Patel to stop the hordes of orcs from crossing the Channel when he has done nothing to back her up or use the power of his office to cut through red tape and legal shenanigans that make it impossible to eject orcs once they are in the UK. While I am not saying she is exactly the most competent head in the administration either, it appears to me that her whole role in this steaming pile of ordure is to act as a heat shield and scapegoat for an administration that doesn’t really want to stop the invasion of orcs for a multitude of reasons.

  4. UK: Tony Blair Suggests Unvaccinated Should Remain Under Lockdown Restrictions
This great British traitor is beyond real-he is at the forefront of the massive con that is being purputrated upon the world.
    Suspect vaccine-
It’s not a vaccine. A vaccine by definition provides immunity to a disease. This does not provide immunity to anything. In a best-case scenario, it merely reduces the chance of getting a severe case of a virus if one catches it. Hence, it is a medical treatment, not a vaccine. I do not want to take a medical treatment for an illness I do not have.
The drug companies, politicians, medical establishment, and media have joined forces to universally refer to this as a vaccine when it is not one, with the intention of manipulating people into feeling safer about undergoing a medical treatment. Because they are being deceitful, we should be cautious with out trust. long-term effects are entirely unknown, and will not be known for many years. They may speculate that it is safe, but it is disingenuous for them to make such a claim that cannot possibly be known.
