The Daily Caller News Foundation and one of its reporters, Thomas Catenacci, is suing Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot (D) over her decision to only grant interviews to ‘black or brown journalists.’

Fauci in 2012: Gain-of-Function Research ‘Worth Risk of Lab Accident Sparking Pandemic’
America’s top virologist, Anthony Fauci, argued in 2012 that the risks of a lab accident sparking a pandemic are outweighed by the potential benefits of manipulating viruses via gain-of-function research, according to previously unsurfaced remarks reported by Sharri Markson via The Australian.
“In an unlikely but conceivable turn of events, what if that scientist becomes infected with the virus, which leads to an outbreak and ultimately triggers a pandemic?” Fauci wrote in the American Society for Microbiology in 2012, adding “Many ask reasonable questions: given the possibility of such a scenario — however remote — should the initial experiments have been performed and/or published in the first place, and what were the processes involved in this decision?”

Minneapolis Teacher Suspended After Wearing Trump Mask on Anniversary of George Floyd’s Death
A public school teacher in Minneapolis has been placed on leave after wearing a red face mask with “Trump” written on it Tuesday.
The incident allegedly took place at Keewaydin Elementary School within Minneapolis. According to local outlet CBS Minnesota, the pro-Trump mask was worn on the one-year anniversary of George Floyd’s death. Floyd died in Minneapolis Police custody on May 25 last year. Ex-officer Derek Chauvin is awaiting sentencing after being convicted last month of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.

Senate Unanimously Approves Amendment Banning Chinese Gain-of-Function Research
Following Friday’s bombshell revelation that Dr. Anthony Fauci has supported ‘gain of function’ research, even arguing that the “risks” (which include a worldwide pandemic caused by a potential lab accident) were outweighed by the potential benefits to humanity, it’s worth revisiting a vote that quietly took place earlier this week in the Senate.
Sen. Paul has been arguing with Dr. Fauci about the merits of the research and whether they’re outweighed by the risks of deadly lab leaks for weeks now. He memorably took the good doctor to task during a hearing of the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions committee hectoring over his prior support for gain of function research in China, to which Dr. Fauci insisted that was not the case.

The San Jose Gunman Appeared to Specifically Target His Victims, Sheriff Says
The gunman who killed nine colleagues at a light rail yard in Northern California before taking his own life appeared to target his victims, a sheriff told CNN on Thursday.
During Wednesday morning’s rampage at the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) property in San Jose, the shooter — identified as Sam Cassidy — told a local union official there that ‘I’m not going to shoot you,’ Santa Clara County Sheriff Laurie Smith said.
The union official does not work for VTA, Smith said.
Cassidy, a VTA employee, fatally shot his coworkers inside two buildings around the time of a morning shift change before killing himself in front of responding law enforcement officers, authorities said. Authorities said Thursday they recovered three handguns, rather than two they initially said he carried.
The handguns were legally obtained and registered, the FBI San Francisco special agent in charge Craig Fair said Thursday.
In 2016, Cassidy was found with a memo book filled with notes of hatred toward VTA after US Customs and Border Protection officers searched his bags, a Department of Homeland Security official confirmed to CNN. Officers also found books about terrorism and fear and manifestos, the official said.
Cassidy was returning from a trip to the Philippines. The Wall Street Journal was the first to report information about CBP’s search of Cassidy.

Canadian Civil Liberties Association Challenging N.S. Injunction
The Canadian Civil Liberties Association has made good on a promise to challenge the Nova Scotia injunction banning public gatherings during the pandemic, filing papers Friday seeking intervenor status and a court appearance next week.

Horrifying: Remains of 215 Children Found on Grounds of Former Kamloops Residential School
A grisly discovery confirmed a grisly story maintained for years by Tk’Emlups Te Secwe’Pemc nation, when, on Thursday, ground-penetrating radar managed to discover the remains of 215 children.
The mass unmarked grave was found on the ground of what used to be the Kamloops Indian Residential School, founded in 1890 and closed for good in 1978.

Kevin J. Johnston Denied Bail by Calgary Judge, Deemed Too High Risk to Reoffend
Controversial Calgary mayoral candidate Kevin J. Johnston, who now faces criminal charges in three provinces, has been denied bail after his arrest earlier this week.

Quebecers are enjoying the first days of the summer-like weather, after being under one of the toughest lockdown measures in North America, which included a curfew at night for at least four months.

Facebook Threatens Irish News Outlet Gript With Deletion
Irish media outlet Gript is at risk of losing its Facebook page for alleged repeated violations of the platform’s policies. The most recent “violations” involves a historical fact post about German soldiers, which, according to Facebook, violated its policies on “promoting hateful individuals and organizations.”

German Scientist Discovers What Causes Rare Blood Clots in Some AstraZeneca Jab Recipients
A German scientist may have found a solution to one of the biggest problems plaguing the global vaccine rollout: the rare but sometimes deadly blood clots seen in some vaccinated patients who received the AstraZeneca-Oxford jab.
A team of scientists in Germany believes it has pinpointed the cause of these blood clots, which can be eliminated with a relatively easy tweak.

More prominent scientific figures have thrown their weight behind calls for investigating the lab leak theory as the cause of the coronavirus pandemic, with some revealing they were previously ostracised for presenting research that suggested the scenario was realistic.
The Daily Mail reports that British vaccine researcher and professor of oncology Angus Dalgleish struggled to find a publisher for his paper suggesting the virus’s spike protein contains artificially inserted sequences.

Israel has proven to the world that vaccine passports do not work, according to five Israeli professors in the fields of medicine and ethics. The professors claim the vaccine passports are an affront to civil liberties and cause segregation and discrimination, which in turn make even pro-vaccination people resent it.
In an opinion piece published in The Telegraph, five professors opined that the world should learn from Israel that vaccine passports do not work.

How these Bangladeshi Muslims dare to come in India and rape our girls? Why Police don’t shoot them at sight?
Bharti Singh | HENB | Bengaluru | May 28, 2021:: Five Bangladeshi nationals, including a woman, all Muslims were arrested in Bengaluru on Thursday in connection with the brutal assault and gang rape of a woman in Ramamurthy Nagar, off Old Madras Road. The video of the gang rape and brutality had gone viral in northeast India, prompting Assam police to issue photos of the five accused on Wednesday. They had even promised a reward for those providing information about the crime.
The arrested accused are Sagar Usman, 23; Mohammed Babu Sahik, 30; Ridoy Babu Jahangir, 25, all residents of Bengaluru and Hakil Ansari, 23 a resident of Hyderabad, as report came in. Police also arrested a woman, whose identity police did not reveal. From source it was confirmed that the woman was also a converted Muslim and took active part in the gang rape and brutal assault on a Hindu root tribal woman from North East India. It was told that a beer bottle was also inserted in the personal part of the victim during the rape and assault.
Unless the Assam police did not appear in the scene nit was perhaps not too much headache for the Bengaluru Police as assumed.
However, Bengaluru police said that the crime took place last week. The survivor appears to be a victim of human trafficking. “All five accused and the rape survivor are from Bangladesh. The offence took place in Bengaluru. They recorded the video in the city and later shared it online,” police said. The arrested Bangladeshi youths recorded the assault video and posted it on social media last week.
Probe revealed that the gang had trafficked woman to B’luru We arrested the suspects from Ramamurthy Nagar area based on specific information,” an officer said. Following the assault, the survivor fled to a neighbouring state and a police team has been rushed to bring her to the city, police said.

There were references on social media that the attacked woman could be a Nagaland resident who died by suicide in Jodhpur recently. But Rijiju confirmed via a tweet on Wednesday that the Jodhpur woman and the woman in the video were different.

A former State Department official says that the idea the COVID-19 virus emerged naturally out of a zoonotic situation is “ridiculous.”
David Asher told Fox News that the scientific community consensus that the virus emerged in Wuhan as a result of a mutation in animals is completely inaccurate.
“We were finding that despite the claims of our scientific community, including the National Institutes of Health and Dr. Fauci’s NIAID organization, there was almost no evidence that supported a natural, zoonotic evolution or source of COVID-19,” said the former State Department official.

Hong Kong Pro-Democracy Activists Sentenced for 2019 Protests
MAE SOT, THAILAND — Several of Hong Kong’s pro-democracy activists were again under the strain of the city’s judicial system on Friday, after a court sentenced eight to prison for their role in protests two years ago.
Ten pro-democracy activists, including Jimmy Lai, Lee Cheuk-Yan and Avery Ng, pleaded guilty last week for their involvement in organizing an unauthorized assembly on October 1, 2019. The street protests in Hong Kong — which took place while China’s central government celebrated its 70th anniversary — attracted thousands and turned violent, with a teenage protester shot by police. Hundreds more were arrested.
Wan Chai District Court Judge Amanda Woodcock sentenced eight of the group — Avery Ng, Figo Chan, Cyd Ho, Albert Ho, Yeung Sum, Jimmy Lai, Lee Cheuk Yan and Leung Kwok-hung — to jail terms ranging from 14 to 18 months. The remaining two, Sin Chung and Richard Tsoi, were given suspended sentences. Six of the 10 had been remanded to custody since May 18 following their guilty pleas and had bail applications rejected.

Switzerland: Young Family Attacked by Foreign Suspects, Father Stabbed
A father was stabbed and his family attacked by armed foreign suspects this week in the Swiss border city of Basel, according to reports.
A couple and their two young children were walking along a city street on Wednesday evening when two males ambushed them.
The husband, 25, managed to fight off the assailants, but was hospitalized with stab wounds, according to Basel-Stadt police.
“The first suspect is 25 to 30 years old, about 175 cm tall, has brown skin and dark brown short hair. He was wearing a black T-shirt, light blue jeans, red sneakers, and a black leather jacket,” Blick reports.
While no description of the second perpetrator has been provided, both men were heard speaking in “Turkish or Arabic.”

Poland’s Left-Wing Women’s Strike Calls Traditional Family Model ‘Fascist’ And Too White
The radically left and pro-abortionist Polish Women’s Strike has pushed for several large changes in many areas of life, and one of them is education.
In a recent Facebook post, the Women’s Strike leveled its criticism towards primary school and kindergarten curriculums which often depict the traditional family model in education books.
“Do you have school-aged children? Then you’ve surely have looked into their school books. The closer one is to the primer, the clearer the stereotypes are,” the organization pointed out.
