Care Homes Were ‘Petrified’ By Cuomo’s 2020 Order to Take in Crowds of COVID-19 Patients, Exec Says

Nursing home management was “petrified” by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s notorious executive order from March 2020 that COVID-19 patients should be treated in long-term care facilities rather than hospitals, a Staten Island care home administrator, Michael Kraus, has shared with Fox News correspondent Aishah Hasnie.

He said he and his colleagues without a moment’s hesitation voiced their concerns, but they fell on the deaf ears of state officials, who instantly turned down the claims.

Child Suicide is Becoming an ‘International Epidemic’ Amid Restricted Pandemic Life, Doctors Warn

The damage we’re inflicting on children is too devastating to be waved away in the name of public health-it’s quickly becoming an emergency in its own right.

Billions of people across the globe continue to live under COVID-19 lockdowns or heavily-restricted life. And for almost all of us, life amid the pandemic in 2020 was an isolating and difficult year. Yet doctors are warning that children, in particular, are experiencing grave mental health consequences as a result of the lockdowns-leading to an “international epidemic” of child suicide.

Gunfire Kills 1, Wounds 5 at Illegal Philadelphia Gathering

PHILADELPHIA — Gunfire at an illegal large gathering in Philadelphia killed one person, wounded five others and sent scores of people fleeing, authorities said.

The gunfire erupted around 3:45 a.m. Saturday inside and outside a rental hall adjacent to Hot Pot Cuisine in north Philadelphia’s Nicetown neighborhood, police officials said.

A 29-year-old man was shot 14 times and was pronounced dead minutes later at Temple University Hospital, police said. Three men ages 33, 38, and 41 and a 30-year-old woman were also shot; all were stable at hospitals, police said.

Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw told reporters that at least 150 people fled for their lives. She said that such large gatherings are illegal under COVID-19 orders and that police would increase foot, bicycle and foot patrols where large gatherings might occur.

Judge Rules New York Times Used “Actual Malice” When it Accused Project Veritas Report of Being “Deceptive”

Writers for the New York Times deceived readers about Project Veritas, a non-profit media group that exposes wrongdoing in powerful institutions, by presenting opinions as facts in their articles, a New York Supreme Court judge decided.

We obtained a copy of the decision for you here.

Project Veritas is suing two NYT writers for defamation in their articles that were presented as factual news, not opinions.

In the ruling, where the NYT motion to dismiss the lawsuit was denied, the judge said that the writers used “reckless disregard” and “acted with actual malice” by denigrating Project Veritas without supporting their claims with actual evidence.

Last year, NYT writers Tiffany Hsu and Maggie Astor made unverifiable claims that a video by Project Veritas about election irregularities in Minnesota was deceptive in five articles. The non-profit journalism group’s lawsuit claims the articles contained falsehoods and defamation.

Leftist Greenwald Auditions for Fox News Gig

Tucker Carlson’s Fox show is always worth watching but he is increasingly dependent on a left-winger, Glenn Greenwald, for commentaries. Fox News now has an entire article devoted to Greenwald’s critique of liberal journalists on matters like the Hunter Biden affair. It’s good Greenwald parts ways with the official Democratic Party line and sees the light on these issues. But that doesn’t erase his history of service to anti-American causes. Viewers of Fox deserve the truth.

Greenwald once accepted an award named after Soviet agent I.F. “Izzy” Stone, saying Stone “pioneered what modern journalism ought to be.”

Stone, the uncle of Weather Underground communist terrorist Kathy Boudin, continues to be a hero to the left. The Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard offers an annual “I.F. Stone Medal for Journalistic Independence.”

Military Has Taken Over Wolstein Center in Ohio to Administer COVID “Vaccines”

Ohio now has its first federal COVID-19 mass vaccination center. The military has taken over the Wolstein Center in Cleveland, Ohio to distribute the mislabeled “vaccines” to the population on a massive scale.

The first FEMA mass vaccination camp site has opened in Cleveland, complete with the full force of the United States military. According to The Akron Beacon, the so-called super vaccination center is the largest of its kind coordinated by the federal government and will be staffed by a combination of Ohio National Guard and Army troops.

The site will attempt to vaccinate 1,500 people with the gene therapies on the first day and then “ramp” up vaccinations by another 1,500 each of the ensuing days until it reaches its capacity of 6,000 a day at the Wolstein Center on the campus of Cleveland State University. For now, the state and the federal government have committed to keeping the center open for eight weeks, but officials indicated Monday that could be extended. They are pulling out all the stops to get people to willingly take this experimental concoction that isn’t even designed to prevent the coronavirus.

How do we know it won’t prevent it? They’ve said so.

NYT Calls for Facebook to Censor Billions of Users, But Quits Cooking FB Group After Finding Moderating Hard

Corporate mainstream media, the New York Times among them, often come after Facebook for not policing and censoring its 2.5+ billion users efficiently and quickly enough.

But the NYT recently found out first hand how easy or hard, and costly, it is to actually “moderate” i.e., herd users and their content inside strictly confined rules.

With the abandonment of NYT’s “Food Only” Facebook group, that appears as having been harder than the paper imagined or would be willing to admit, even when the topic is innocuous enough, and the number of people in a group minuscule compared to all of Facebook.

US Funded Virus Research and Used Outbreak Against US

Story at-a-glance:

  • The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) funded risky gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology as recently as 2019
  • Two U.S. individuals implicated in funding and researching bat coronaviruses with human infection potential are Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the NIAID, and Peter Daszak, Ph.D. Both have also publicly dismissed the possibility of SARS-CoV-2 originating in a lab and have worked to suppress such lines of inquiry
  • As early as March 2020, Fauci knew that up to 90% of positive PCR tests were false positives, yet he said and did nothing. Instead, he fueled the flames of fearmongering, perpetuating the myth that we were in a lethal pandemic
  • The World Health Organization’s commission charged with the investigation of SARS-CoV-2’s origin has dismissed the lab-origin theory. In response, two dozen scientists and policy experts are calling for a truly independent investigation into the virus’ origin
  • Key pieces of research that supports the lab-origin theory — by presenting a highly credible theory for how the virus became so highly adapted for human infection — are coronavirus studies done on mice genetically engineered to express the human ACE2 receptor

Walmart Has Positioned Itself as the Biggest Supporter of Vaccine Passports

When your actual passport — the one and only, for most people — a super serious piece of document issued by an actual government, based on hard facts like your nationality, place of birth, or long-term place of residence, is no longer enough to allow you to cross borders — what’s happening?

Usually, it’s because there’s a war. Any “boost” will help for sure — that sounds silly, but some people, and it’s no joke, will rely on a US supermarket chain to “boost their credentials” in this area.

Apparently, in the US, the serious business of administering the rushed-to-market Covid vaccines is also being done in Walmart and Sam’s Club stores. But that’s not all folks — now these retail establishments will be allowed to issue Covid “passports” of their own, verifying that the person with their app on their smartphone is eligible to board a plane out of Dodge — or if they must stay, enter school premises.

A BC Supreme Court judge has ruled the COVID-19 public health order prohibiting outdoor protests was unconstitutional.

Corona Demos Not Only in Kassel: Thousands of Europeans Protest Against “Tyranny”

In Kassel, the “lateral thinking” movement can mobilize tens of thousands, but it is not only in this country that people are defending themselves against Corona measures: in Croatia, thousands are protesting against the “tyranny” of the mask requirement and even in Sweden there are reasons to protest.

While one of the largest rallies of the year is taking place in Kassel with more than 20,000 “lateral thinkers” counted by the police, protests are being made in other European countries against measures to contain the corona pandemic. In Amsterdam For example, the police drove participants in an unauthorized protest rally with water cannons from the central square in front of the Reichsmuseum. As the Dutch news agency ANP reported, around 1000 demonstrators were surrounded by emergency services on the edge of the historic canal district, many of them were then taken by bus to areas on the outskirts. Protective masks had previously been distributed to them. There was initially no information about arrests.

Hungarian Foreign Minister Calls Brexit an ‘Enormous Loss’

During a webinar address posted on social media, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjartó outlined his country’s priorities in developing a new relationship towards post-Brexit Britain. The tangible emphasis throughout his speech on what he called the “sad news” can be interpreted as an indirect criticism of the circumstances that had led to the departure of the UK from the European Union.

Péter Szijjartó had also emphasized the fact that Hungary has been especially affected by the UK’s departure, as the two countries have in the past seen eye to eye in a number of political issues. They had similar views, for example, on the future of the European Union. The two countries are known to have been vocal opponents to the recent doctrine of “ever closer union”, a federalist approach that would centralize the government of EU member states through nation states handing over legislative powers to Brussels.

[Comment: Hungary should join the Brexit club.]

Italian Media Enraged as French Museum Scraps Roman Numerals

Italian media erupted with anger after it was revealed that a French museum would be scrapping Roman numerals at exhibits after claims that fewer people can understand them.

The Musée Carnavalet, the oldest City of Paris museum, announced earlier this week that it would be scrapping Roman numerals from exhibits, after stating that it would be easier for visitors to understand Arabic numerals, instead.

Italian media reacted angrily to the move, with Massimo Gramellini, writer and vice-director of the newspaper Corriere Della Sera, writing: “This story of Roman numerals represents a perfect synthesis of the ongoing cultural catastrophe: first, things are not taught, then, we eliminate them so that those who don’t know them won’t feel uncomfortable.”

Le Figaro reports that Luciano Canfora, a professor of classics at the University of Bari, blamed “political correctness” for the move, which he called a “general scourge”.

Scotland: Student Banned From Aberdeen University’s Union for Two Weeks for Writing “Rule Britannia” In Webchat

A student at Aberdeen University has been banned from attending student union meetings for two weeks after posting “Rule Britannia” during a virtual debate about the British Army recruiting students. The student sees her banning as being punished for patriotism and a disregard of her right to free speech.

The story started after international students raised concerns about the presence of British Army recruiters on campus. 19-year-old student Elizabeth Heverin, in a webchat debate on the issue, wrote: “If the British military makes them feel uncomfortable, why did they come to a British uni?”

Later she wrote, “Rule Britannia,” referencing an old poem written in the 18th century that became a symbol for the British Empire, and mostly associated with the British Navy.

Free speech supporters in the UK are questioning the judicial system and are shocked that a police officer is facing trial for sharing a meme at the same time when another officer has just been let off without a prison sentence for attacking a lone woman as she walked home at night.

A police sergeant in the UK who shared a “grossly offensive” George Floyd meme with friends and colleagues told the court the meme was meant for “cheap laugh” not to offend anyone. But the prosecution argues that the meme was shared at time that it would have offended the black community, even though the meme was shared into a private WhatsApp group.

Texas Gov. Abbott Says Biden’s Migrant Crisis is Now a ‘Humanitarian Disaster’ Amid COVID Outbreak at Hastily Constructed Child Holding Facility Which Has No ‘Usable Running Water’ — While Pelosi Claims the President Has Situation ‘Under Control’

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has called the border crisis a ‘humanitarian disaster’ as COVID cases surge among teens held in a hastily constructed federal holding facility for child migrants with no drinkable water.

The detention center in Midland County, currently holding more than 400 youths, was opened on Sunday after federal officials converted a ‘man camp’ for oilfield workers to help handle a massive surge in illegal border crossings, including many unaccompanied minors.

More than 10 percent of the camp’s population has tested positive for COVID-19 and at least one child had to be hospitalized. And on Friday, Texas officials issued a dire warning that well water used at the holding site could be contaminated with arsenic or other toxins.

Gay and Lesbian Troops Can Now Make Claims of Discrimination

Defense Secretary Ash Carter extended equal opportunity protection to sexual minorities at the Pentagon’s fourth Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Pride event Tuesday.

Gay and lesbian troops can now make claims of discrimination based on sexual orientation to the Military Equal Opportunity program, rather than inspectors general, USA Today reports.

According to Carter, what matters in the military is meritocracy. Discrimination has no place, as excluding LGBT troops, especially from serving their country, threatens national security.

“Anything less is not just plain wrong, it’s bad defense policy that puts our future strength at risk,” Carter noted.
