California City Bans New Gasoline Stations
The City Council of Petaluma, California, has voted to ban new gasoline stations in order to reduce gasoline availability to motorists and accelerate the transition to electric vehicles. The ban does not include existing gas stations, but existing gas stations will not be allowed to add new gas pumps. Instead, they are encouraged to build electric charging bays. The legislation will also streamline the process for adding more electric vehicle infrastructure like electric charging bays and hydrogen fuel cell facilities. The new prohibition is part of Petaluma’s plan to completely phase out carbon emissions by 2030. Petaluma, located 30 miles north of San Francisco, has about 60,000 people. It is 15 square miles in size and has 16 operational gas stations. Neighborhood opposition in Petaluma to a new Safeway gas station prompted years of litigation and promoted the permanent ban on new stations.

Facebook Global Planning Lead: “The Government Needs to Step in and Break Up Google and Facebook”
In a series of undercover recordings that were published by investigative reporting outlet Project Veritas, Facebook’s Global Planning Lead, Benny Thomas, said that Facebook and its CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, are too powerful, called for the government to intervene, and warned of dire future consequences if the government fails to take action against the tech giants.

FBI: Nashville Bomber Driven by Conspiracies, Paranoia
The FBI concluded that the bomber chose the location and timing so that it would be impactful while still minimizing the likelihood of ‘undue injury.’
The man who blew himself up inside his recreational vehicle in a Christmas Day bombing in Nashville was grappling with paranoia and eccentric conspiracy theories, but there are no indications he was motivated by social or political ideology, the FBI said Monday in closing out the investigation into the blast.
The FBI statement sets out to resolve some of the lingering mysteries of an explosion that initially perplexed investigators and the public because it appeared to lack an obvious motive or fit a clear profile. Though the blast damaged dozens of buildings, it took place early on a holiday morning well before downtown streets would be bustling with activity and was preceded by a recorded announcement warning anyone in the area that a bomb would soon detonate.
The FBI concluded that the bomber, Anthony Quinn Warner, chose the location and timing so that it would be impactful while still minimizing the likelihood of “undue injury.”
The report found that Warner acted alone and set off the bomb to end his own life, driven in part by his longtime beliefs in several conspiracy theories and paranoia. The report also found that stressors included “deteriorating interpersonal relationships.”
“The FBI’s analysis did not reveal indications of a broader ideological motive to use violence to bring about social or political change, nor does it reveal indications of a specific personal grievance focused on individuals or entities in and around the location of the explosion,” the FBI said…

Google Will Face Lawsuit Over Incognito Mode Tracking (Updated)
Google now has no choice but to deal with a lawsuit over Incognito mode tracking. As Bloomberg reports, Judge Lucy Koh has denied Google’s request to dismiss the class action case. Koh determined that Google “did not notify” users it was still collecting data while Incognito’s privacy mode was active, giving the plaintiffs enough ground to move forward with their case.
The chief participants in the lawsuit had accused Google of misleading users, telling them their info was private even as it monitored their habits. The search giant had argued that users agreed to its privacy policy and thus knew Google was collecting data. It reportedly warned that Incognito “does not mean ‘invisible’“ and that sites could still see activity.

Grammy Celebs Blasted Over Face Mask Hypocrisy

Kentucky Republicans Pass Bill Making Insulting a Police Officer a Crime
In recent times, there have been increasing incidences of police arresting people for criticizing them online, particularly through memes. Due to the First Amendment protections, these cases have been dropped.
But a new bill out of Kentucky aims to try again.
The Senate of the State of Kentucky passed a bill that criminalizes insulting the police. Critics of the bill claimed the legislation would have a chilling effect on free speech and is actually a violation of the First Amendment.

Thousands of flights were cancelled over the weekend due to a severe winter storm in Denver, Colorado.

‘Obey!’ — Biden Outlines Post-Pandemic Dystopia in “Dark & Hopeless” First Address
President Joe Biden delivered his first prime-time address last night since the beginning of his ‘unity’reign.
However, out of the gate, he took a shot at his predecessor, seemingly blaming Trump for the spread of COVID-19.
“A year ago, we were hit with a virus that was met with silence and spread unchecked,” Biden said, apparently forgetting that he called then-President Trump xenophobic for quickly imposing a ban on travel into the United States.
Such assertions were to be expected, but as LibertyNation’s Graham Noble warns, one sentence from Biden’s speech should terrify Americans:
“We will issue further guidance on what you can and cannot do once fully vaccinated.”

Over 150 Arrested as Miami Goes Wild During Spring Break
More than 150 people were arrested over Spring Break weekend in Miami, as partygoers ignored the Mayor’s COVID warnings and descended on the town.
Over 120 of those arrested were nabbed on Friday alone, according to the Daily Mail, which noted that police seized guns, drugs and cash amid violent confrontations Friday evening which required the deployment of crowd control measures, including pepper balls.

Pennsylvania Mom Arrested for Trying to Ruin Young Girls’ Lives With Compromising Deepfakes
The internet is a growing battlefield by which activists and bad actors set out to destroy the careers of others. This latest example involves the emerging world of deepfakes.
Police in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, arrested a 50-year-old woman for sending doctored images and videos of members of her teen daughter’s cheerleading squad to coaches, hoping they would get kicked out.
The investigation started last July after one of the cheerleaders’ parents contacted the police. Later, two more families reported a similar story. The teenagers claimed that they and their coaches had received messages showing them naked, smoking, and drinking, reported the Philly Inquirer.
Upon further investigation, the police determined that the videos were deepfakes.

Seattle Police Arrest 13 in Weekend Protests
SEATTLE — Seattle police arrested 13 people Saturday night after a march downtown turned destructive. The arrests were for property damage, obstructing a public officer and felony assault, police said Sunday.
The march was planned to mark the one year anniversary of the death of Breonna Taylor, a Black woman who was shot and killed by police during a botched drug raid at her Louisville, Kentucky home, KING5 reported.
During the march, police said members of the group pulled barricades, fencing, and cones out of a construction zone on Alaskan Way, blocking traffic in several lanes. The Washington State Patrol had to temporarily close the ferry terminal until the marchers cleared the area, police said.

The Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office has announced that two accused rioters connected to violent Black Lives Matter-Antifa protests in Portland, Ore. have been indicted.
A grand jury last week indicted Minira Snead-Alsaud, 20, and Brandon Paul Bartells, 38.
Snead-Alsaud was indicted on charges of felony rioting and attempted assault of a public safety officer. On May 30, 2020, Snead-Alsaud was allegedly part of a mob of BLM-Antifa rioters who vandalized and looted downtown businesses for approximately five hours. She is accused of trying to incite others to violence, assaulting police officers, and specifically, striking a deputy on the head with a bottle.
Snead-Alsaud was originally arrested at the time alongside with almost 50 others but she was quickly released without bail. The case was closed in August 2020 but was reinstated this year after law enforcement provided additional evidence to the district attorney’s office.
Bartells, a far-left activist from Ocean Shores, Wash., who was also arrested at a riot in Kenosha, Wisc., was indicted on felony riot and felony criminal mischief charges.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott repealed his state’s mask mandate last week, sparking a flurry of controversy from those who said it was needlessly risking the lives of Texans by opening the state up to a resurgence in coronavirus cases.
President Joe Biden reacted angrily to the decision, suggesting that it represented “Neanderthal thinking.”
Since that time, however, data shows that cases, hospitalizations, and deaths associated with COVID-19 have all continued to decrease in the Lone Star State. On Sunday, there were just over 2,300 new confirmed and probable cases of the virus, and hospitalizations were down to almost 4,000. Additionally, only 69 COVID-related deaths were added to the state’s total.

US Soldier Pleads Not Guilty to Plotting Attacks on NYC Landmarks With Islamic State
NEW YORK — A U.S. Army soldier pleaded not guilty Monday to plotting terrorist attacks on city landmarks with an undercover FBI employee posing as a member of the Islamic State militant group.
Cole Bridges faces a maximum of 40 years in prison for attempting to provide material support to Islamic State and attempted murder of U.S. military service members. Prosecutors say Bridges, 20, shared his disenchantment with the military in online chats with the undercover FBI employee starting in 2019. The radicalized soldier eventually began advising the fake Islamic State sympathizer on how to thwart U.S. military attacks in the Middle East and “provided advice” on potential targets in New York City, including the 9/11 Memorial, according to a complaint.

Appearing on NBC News Sunday Dr Fauci and host Chuck Todd declared that more pandemics are on the way because of climate change and “the globalisation”.

Four Face $1,000 Fines Following Weekend Gatherings
Halifax Regional Police have handed out four $1,000 tickets for failing to comply with COVID-19 regulations.
Officers were called to a social gathering on South Street just after 11 p.m. Friday where they fined three men under the Health Protection Act.
Then just after midnight Saturday morning, a woman was fined at a gathering on Walnut Street.

Montreal Police Continue Curfew Enforcement Following Religious Challenge, Lockdown Protest
Police in Montreal, Quebec continue to enforce the curfew enacted by Premier Francois Legault despite growing resistance to the province’s strict measures against COVID-19.
The curfew, first imposed in early January and originally only slated to last four weeks, is among the tightest limitations on Canadians in any province. Though some restrictions were eventually lifted, the curfew was left in place by Legault. Now, with daylight savings time coming into effect, Montreal’s Hasidic Jewish community has challenged the premier’s order.
Orthodox Jews must hold evening prayers after dark, and the changing of clocks will see those in the province’s “red zones” leaving places of worship in contravention to the 8 p.m. curfew.
Meanwhile, on Saturday in the city, thousands of protesters took to the streets to rally against the province’s lockdown measures. Police said they made 10 arrests and issued 144 tickets to demonstrators, mostly for individuals not wearing masks.

Protesting against the lockdown in Toronto seems to be “legal” once again. This past Saturday marked the second straight week of no arrests or fines issued by police during the continuing demonstrations against restrictive measures put in place by the provincial and municipal governments.
With the stay at home order finally lifted for the City of Toronto, officers seem to be no longer arresting or charging protesters gathering in the city’s downtown core.

Brexit Wars Recommence as EU Launches Legal Action Against UK Over Northern Ireland
The European Union is launching legal action against the United Kingdom over its efforts to protect trade between the British mainland and Northern Ireland, vindicating critics of Boris Johnson’s deals with the bloc who said they ensured Brexit was by no means “done”.

Brno, March 15 (BD) — On Sunday afternoon, approximately 100 people gathered around Zelný Trh in Brno, mainly in response to Manifest.cz’s call for a demonstration against the current anti-epidemic measures imposed by the government. The police dispersed the crowd 20 minutes after the demonstration started, and the protesters marched through the center of Brno for approximately another hour and a half, accompanied by police cars. Brno Police were informed in advance about the planned demonstration and blocked all the access roads into Zelný Trh, asking for proof of identification from those wishing to enter the square.

Denmark Bans Foreign Funding of Mosques
The Danish Parliament has approved a new law that bans foreign governments from financing mosques in Denmark. The measure is aimed at preventing Muslim countries, particularly Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Turkey, from promoting Islamic extremism in Danish mosques and prayer facilities.
Denmark joins a growing list of European countries — including Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Switzerland — which have taken varying degrees of action to prevent foreign governments from financing the construction and upkeep of mosques on their territories.
In recent years, Algeria, Kuwait, Libya, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, among others, have distributed hundreds of millions of euros to finance the spread of Islam in Europe.

EU May Issue Vaccine Passport by June
European authorities aim for the new coronavirus-related immunity certificate, also known as the green passport, to take effect before the summer break and facilitate intra-EU travel for the summer season, European Commissioner for the Internal Market Thierry Breton said on Sunday.
The European immunity certificate, the idea of which will be presented in detail by the European Commission on Wednesday, will include whether the owner has already been vaccinated against the coronavirus, has recovered from it, or has had a negative test, the EU commissioner told French television channel CNews in an interview.

Germany, France, Italy, Latest Nations to Suspend Oxford-AstraZeneca Vaccine
BERLIN (AP) — Germany, France and Italy on Monday became the latest countries to suspend use of AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine over reports of dangerous blood clots in some recipients, though the company and European regulators have said there is no evidence the shot is to blame.
Germany’s health minister said the decision was taken on the advice of the country’s vaccine regulator, the Paul Ehrlich Institute, which called for further investigation into seven reported cases of clots in the brains of people who had been vaccinated.

Hungarian Journalists Could Face ‘Ban’ Under Radical Proposal From Far-Left Leader
In an ominous statement by the leader of the far-left Hungarian political party Momentum, Andras Fekete-Gyor, said that in case his bid to become prime minister were successful, he would effectively ban journalists whom he deems to be “propagandists”.
Although in his video message he did not single out the Hungarian conservative media as such, both media outlets he mentions by name are center-right conservative news agencies.
In a video message to his followers, Fekete-Gyor states that “… in this opinion I am more radical than the majority, and those propagandists, and I speak of propagandists, such as those in TV2 or those in Origo, who deliberately defame others, are deliberately stating falsehoods, then I would ban them for some time from their occupation.”

Italian prosecutors have opened a manslaughter investigation today after a music teacher died on Sunday — a day after receiving AstraZeneca’s Covid vaccine.
The judiciary in Biella, in northern Italy, opened a preliminary probe into the death of 57-year-old Sandro Tognatti, whose cause of death remains unknown. They stressed that there is no link to AstraZeneca’s vaccine at this stage and the probe is intended to establish whether anyone has a case to answer.
It came as Italians woke up to fresh lockdown restrictions today, with 13 of the country’s 21 regions now in a ‘red zone’ meaning schools, restaurants, shops and museums have to close, and people cannot leave their homes except for work, health or other essential reasons.

Members of the European Parliament are welcoming plans from the European Commission to make email, messaging, and chat providers search through users’ private conversations and report “illegal material”, according to Patrick Breyer MEP.
Breyer, a German digital rights activist who represents the German Pirate Party in the EU’s parliament, revealed that fellow MEPs had voted overwhelmingly to “[welcome] the Commission’s intention to oblige e-mail, messaging and chat providers to search all private messages for allegedly illegal material and report to the police” on social media.

Metal Found in Car Exhausts Worth 20 Times That of Gold Sparking Surge of Thefts Across the UK
A METAL found in car exhausts is now worth 20 times that of gold — sparking a surge of thefts across the UK.
Rhodium, which is used in catalytic converters, has shot up in value from £750 an ounce in 2014 to about £20,000 today.
Palladium, another metal found in the devices, is £1,688 an ounce — making them both pricier than gold, which sells for £1,230 an ounce.
And thieves can earn themselves £450 for every converter they steal — with gangs now raking in millions each year.

UK: Conservative Councillor Suspended for Post Dressed as a Woman to Mock Idea of Curfew Against Men
Mark Deacon, a conservative councillor in the UK, has been suspended from his role for posting an image of him wearing a dress in protest of the idea of a 6PM curfew on men following the murder of Sarah Everard. The councillor faced backlash for being “insensitive” to violence against women.
On Sunday, Deacon posted a picture of himself in a long black wig and floral pink dress. He said he would dress like that if a 6PM curfew against men was imposed.

UK: Every COVID-19 Fine Dished Out by Cops in Warwickshire Over the Weekend
Illegal parties and two people caught in the same car on the motorway were among the Covid-19 rule-breaking call-outs answered by police this weekend.
Warwickshire Police has revealed a list of where officers have given out Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) over the past 72 hours for lockdown law-breaking.
While some restrictions have been eased, including meeting one person outdoors, other lockdown laws remain in place.
This includes not meeting with people from other households either indoors or outdoors as well as self-isolating when told to do so.

UK: Police Disperse Group of 40 People Performing ‘Hokey Cokey’ In Park
Police have dispersed a group of 40 people performing the “Hokey Cokey” as part of a “stand for freedom” protest in an East Sussex park.
Footage captured the group singing and holding hands in a circle on an area of grass in Alexandra Park, Hastings, on Sunday morning.
Adults and children who took part in the dance routine could be seen running “in and out” and singing “oh, the Hokey Cokey”.
The gathering appeared to be organised by the group A Stand In The Park, which shared posts of the event on its Facebook page.
According to the page, the group, which has chapters in countries around the world, is “making a stand for freedom”.

Brexit leader Nigel Farage has drawn a “parallel” between the Black Lives Matter protests and the discussions related to the apparent murder of Sarah Everard, in that while the former brands all white people as beneficiaries of “white privilege”, the latter is in danger of leading to the stigmatisation of all men as dangerous.
Mr Farage told supporters on Sunday: “Following that BLM uprising, we’ve now had month after month of white people being told they are guilty. Those of us that are white, we have ‘white privilege’, and some of this nonsense is being taught in our schools. It isn’t healing any racial divides. Von Der Leyen Would’ve Lost Her Job Over Vaccine Fiasco if She Wasn’t German, Says Polish Expert
Austria and Denmark will be cooperating with Israel when it comes to vaccines. Italy will produce the Russian Sputnik V vaccine and Hungary is taking its own path and is vaccinating its citizens with Chinese and Russian doses.
The OSW Center for Eastern Studies expert Konrad Poplawski explained that Austria and Hungary’s actions are a serious argument in favor of a Europe of Fatherlands, as the EU has started to take responsibility for matters in which it has no competencies. The vaccine fiasco shows that people without expert knowledge dealt with the matter while on the other side there were the experienced negotiators of pharmaceutical companies.

The Vaccine Works: Only 8% of Those Hospitalized Have Been Vaccinated
The death toll in Israel from the COVID-19 pandemic topped 6,000 on Sunday night and now stands at 6,008 people.
Despite this sad milestone, the data from recent days show that the vaccines have had a dramatic effect and greatly help in reducing the number of cases.
According to a report in Channel 12 News, out of 1,003 patients who are hospitalized, 74% or 751 people have not been vaccinated. Even among those who were vaccinated, the majority did not complete the two doses of the vaccine. Only 8% of all hospitalized patients, 83 people, became ill after completing both doses…

Chat app Clubhouse is no longer available in Oman. The government claims the ban is due to a lack of license, but activists believe it is censorship.
Speaking to news website WAF, the Omani telecoms regulator said the app was blocked for “lack of proper authorization.”
“Similar communication applications must obtain a permit from the authority,” the Omani Telecommunications Regulatory Authority said. An article on WAF says the Omani government “prohibits the use of several encrypted VOIP applications without an official license.” That’s the case in several other countries in the Gulf.
Activists believe the blocking of Clubhouse has nothing to do with licensing; it is the government blocking an app where citizens can freely discuss controversial political topics.

At least one man in Tanzania has been arrested for making social media posts claiming President John Magufuli is ill. From what state officials are saying, more people might be arrested.
The president, who is a coronavirus denier, has not been seen in public for more than two weeks. The absence has sparked rumors that he is unwell. The rumors are considered plausible considering the president is usually known to offer frequent public speeches and makes frequent appearances on national television.

Greece: Immigration Minister: The European Left is Waging a War Against Frontex
The Minister of Immigration and Asylum, Notis Mitarakis, highlighted that Greece 12 months ago protected the European Union from a Turkish-instigated migration crisis at Evros.

UK: ‘Meritless’ Four-in-Five Last Minute Migrant Appeals Rejected
Some four in five last-minute legal attempts by illegal aliens and foreign criminals to avoid deportation end in rejection, in what ministers say exposes the extent to which activist lawyers and migrants try to abuse the law.

Dictionary.Com Drops Word “Slavery, “ Adds “BIPOC” And “Critical Race Theory”
Dictionary.com, an online dictionary tool boasting a massive library of terms, has announced that it will be reducing its stored words and definitions by one — the word “slavery” is disappearing.
In an effort to showcase inclusive terminology, the word “slave” will have its noun listing removed. Rather than “slave” as a noun, identifying a person, the adjective “enslaved” will appear.
The elimination of slave is one of thousands of changes to the online resource. Some of those changes revolve around the issue of race and ethnicity. “BIPOC,” the increasingly popular acronym standing for “Black, Indigenous and People of Color, will be included starting this year, as will “Critical Race Theory.”

Facebook Steps Up Labeling of All Conversations About Vaccines, Will Send Users to the WHO
All posts on Facebook and Instagram simply discussing COVID-19 vaccines will have a label saying vaccines are safe; the label will also direct users to Facebook’s chosen sources of vaccine information, such as the WHO and NHS.
On March 15, Facebook announced new features to tackle vaccine skepticism. On both Facebook and Instagram, all posts discussing the vaccines will have a label stating that the vaccines have gone through rigorous tests for safety. Clicking on the label will direct a user to the WHO or similar “authority.”
