Gran Canaria: Gang rape of a 36-year-old woman — four North Africans arrested

In the town of Puerto Rico on Gran Canaria, part of the municipality of Mogán, the handcuffs clicked on four migrants yesterday. The men of Maghrebian origin are accused of raping a 36-year-old woman in a local park on Friday.

As reported by La Provincia, the victim is an Irish national who has lived with her family in the community for years. After the incident, the woman first went to a health center and filed a complaint with the doctor’s report on Sunday.

Four North African migrants have been arrested by Spanish police after a woman was allegedly gang-raped in a park on Gran Canaria.

The victim, a 36-year-old Irish citizen, says was walking through Agua La Perra park in the municipality of Mogan on Friday when she came across four young men and engaged them in conversation, El Periodico reports.

She says she was concerned about their circumstances and asked if she could help them in any way.

The men allegedly responded to the woman’s offer by attacking and raping her before abandoning her in the park.
