Exposing the Robinhood Scam: Here’s How Much Citadel Paid to Robinhood to Buy Your Orders

Frankly, we’ve had it with the constant stream of lies from Robinhood and neverending bullshit from the company’s CEO, Vlad Tenev.

With Tenev scheduled to testify on Thursday, alongside the CEOs of Citadel, Melvin Capital and Reddit, the apriori mea culpas have started to emerge — if a little too late — the former HFT trader spoke late on Friday on the All-In Podcast hosted by Chamath Palihapitiya, who had strongly criticized Robinhood over the trading restrictions, and Jason Calacanis, a Robinhood investor, and said that “no doubt we could have communicated this a little bit better to customers.”

What he is referring to, of course, is Robinhood’s outrageous decision to restrict the buying of 13 heavily shorted stocks on Jan 28 that had been driven to record highs, including GameStop, whose shares had surged more than 1,600%.

Update (1715ET): Roughly five hours after the start of Thursday’s “Gamestopped” Congressional hearing, AOC and Rashida Tlaib finally had their opportunity to speak (as the party continues to generally sideline the highly influential crypto-marxist “Squad” leader) as the two squad members slammed the witnesses, though one of their testimony — AOC’s — was much more engaging than the other.

Worse still, the prior week’s improvement to 793k was drastically revised higher to 848k…

Biden’s DOJ Unlikely to Punish Governor Cuomo Over Nursing Homes Death Toll Scandal, Journo Says

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is likely to get away with misleading the public about nursing homes deaths amid the coronavirus pandemic and issuing COVID orders which may have led to the death of thousands of elderly residents, suggests American investigative journalist Jason Goodman.

On 11 February, The New York Post broke that Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s top aide, Melissa DeRosa, privately told Democratic lawmakers that the state withheld its nursing home COVID-19 death toll out of fear that Donald Trump’s DOJ would use it against them. About 15,000 long-term care home residents have died of COVID-19 in the state since the start of the pandemic, but up until recently just 8,500 deaths were disclosed.

Bill Gates Says 3 Shots Are Now Needed for New Mutant Varieties of COVID

Billionaire Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates says he thinks people need a third dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, to fight the new variants of the disease.

Speaking with CBS News, Gates said the dilemma is whether health officials need to amp up “super high coverage of the current vaccine,” prescribe a third dose of it, or come up with a new, modified vaccine. “All five of the companies that have U.S. vaccines are looking at making that modification and adding that in so that people who’ve already had two shots might need to get a third shot,” Gates told CBS.

On the other hand, former FDA head Dr. Scott Gottlieb told CBS in early February that although he thinks the current vaccines offer “reasonable protection” against the variants, it’s possible people might need boosters later.

[Comment: Apparently too many people are surviving the 2nd dose, so a third is required.]

GOP Senators Demand Probe Into Cuomo’s “Possibly Criminal” Handling of COVID Death Data

Via Planet Free Will News

A group of Republican Senators have penned a letter demanding a full investigation into the recent revelations that New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s administration may have deliberately covered-up New York’s nursing home COVID-19 death toll.

“That so many people needlessly lost their lives because of the failed policies of Governor Cuomo’s administration — an administration that many have lauded over the past year — is tragic and deserves a full investigation and accounting,” reads the letter sent to Sen. Dick Durban (D-Ill), chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

The letter is signed by nine GOP Senate Judiciary Committee members, including Ted Cruz, Lindsey Graham, Chuck Grassley, Marsha Blackburn, John Cornyn, Mike Lee, Josh Hawley, Tom Cotton , and Thom Tillis .

NY Dems Move to End Cuomo Emergency Powers as FBI Launches Probe; Lawmaker Says Gov Threatened to “Destroy” Him

It is looking increasingly certain that Democrats in the NY State legislator — both the state assembly and the Senate — will move to strip Gov. Andrew Cuomo of his emergency COVID powers, imposed nearly 1 year ago, just days after the first cases were confirmed in New York.

Overnight, a flurry of unflattering news reports hit. In one, a New York Democrat, Assemblyman Ron Kim, said the governor had threatened to “destroy” him after Kim criticized a top Cuomo staffer heard on tape telling state lawmakers that Cuomo had worried the Trump Administration would try to use deaths in NY’s nursing homes — eventually found to be nearly twice the number initially reported — as a “political football” to attack Cuomo.

More importantly for Cuomo, it was reported last night that leaders of the New York State Senate would move to strip Cuomo of his emergency pandemic powers granted during the pandemic, an extremely rare rebuke for the governor from Democrats within his own party. The Senate’s measures, which could be voted on as soon as next week, highlight the growing animosity between Cuomo and state lawmakers since the governor admitted to intentionally withholding critical data on virus-related deaths from the state legislature in a Monday holiday press briefing.

Anti-Semitism Surges From German Left-Wing Groups and Muslim Communities

In 2020, there were 2,275 crimes motivated by anti-Semitism committed in Germany, the highest number in 20 years. According to Bogdan Musial, a Polish historian who works in Germany, Islamic radicalization and left-wing opposition to Israel accounts for this rise. He said that in left-wing circles, Israel is seen as racist and accused of practicing a form of apartheid against the Palestinians.

Musial notes that security for synagogues and Jewish schools is nothing new in Germany, and these locations have been vulnerable to attacks for years. However, a number of Jews who have arrived from Russia and aided by the German state have become a source of envy, leading to hostility from other migrants. In many Muslim communities, anti-Israeli and anti-Jewish views prevail.

France’s Elite Forced to Confront Sexual Abuse Scandals

Anna Toumazoff chose a powerful hashtag to highlight sexual abuse at France’s top political science college. Sciences Po — the training ground for the country’s presidents, politicians and administrators — became #SciencesPorcs (Science Pigs).

“This story is very French,” Anna told me. “Because it’s about great schools; it’s about rape culture; it’s about the elegance of being silent — that’s very French.”

Since then, the social media activist has received more than 400 messages from current and former students of Sciences Po. They describe sexual assaults and rapes, mostly by fellow students, that they say were not taken seriously by the college.

“Some were told that ‘it’s not the worst thing in the world’, that life goes on,” Anna said. “Others were accused of defamation. Some were considered liars. I haven’t received any testimonies of people being well treated.”

Stories like this are not new and not unique to Sciences Po. But she believes they are attracting wider attention now because the college is already under the spotlight for something else.

Germany: Muslim Known to Police for Years Stabs Man to Death Out of ‘Hatred of Homosexuals’

A hadith depicts Muhammad specifying the punishment for homosexual activity: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘Whoever you find doing the action of the people of Loot, execute the one who does it and the one to whom it is done.’“ (Sunan Abu Dawud 4462)

Will gay rights advocates say a word about this? Of course not. It has long been established that in the hierarchy of politically correct causes, Islam trumps gay rights. When AFDI ran ads highlighting the mistreatment of gays in Islamic law, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors issued a resolution condemning not that mistreatment, but our ads. Gay advocates such as Theresa Sparks and Chris Stedman attacked us for daring to call attention to the institutionalized mistreatment of gays under Islamic law. It was that, or risk not being invited to the best parties.

Home Office UK Lockdown Warning Video Compared to ‘Black Mirror’ Ad and Mocked for ‘Aggressive’ Drum and Bass Soundtrack

A HOME Office video warning Brits not to break lockdown has been compared to a Black Mirror advert with viewers mocking its “aggressive” drum and bass soundtrack.

The internet hit back at the Government’s official video which warns people not to go to the pub, not to host baby showers and not to go to parties because “meeting up is illegal”.

The 50 second clip features various snippets of bodycam footage where cops have caught rule breakers in recent months.

Against a backdrop of heavy drum and bass, it threatens others not to follow suit, using written warnings in jagged text throughout.

They include: “You shouldn’t go to parties,” “You shouldn’t make your own pub,” and “You shouldn’t hold baby showers”.

Another statement reads: “Meeting up is against the law” while a final message concludes: “Stay at home. Protect the NHS. Save Lives.”

Viewers appeared baffled by the video’s distinct style, with one writing on Twitter: “I thought this was an ad for the new Black Mirror. Disappointed.”

The questions cover the possible lifting of restrictions that have been in place since Nov. 11, including an 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew and the mandatory closure of hotels and restaurants which have been in place since Nov. 11.

No Lockdown Sweden Sees COVID Deaths Plummet Quicker Than UK

While the media in the UK is asserting lockdown measures caused COVID-19 deaths and cases to plummet, Sweden saw an even greater drop off in deaths despite enforcing comparatively minor restrictions.

This morning, UK broadcaster Sky News declared “Lockdown is working! COVID-19 infection rate plummets in England.”

“One of the largest and most authoritative coronavirus surveys has found that infections are quickly falling in England, confirming that lockdown is working to suppress the virus,” states the report.

The report claims that vaccines aren’t a factor in the reduction in deaths and cases because they are observed across all age groups.

However, as Dr. Eli David highlighted, COVID deaths in Sweden began dropping off even sooner without the need for harsh lockdown measures.

Public Health Officials Are Destroying Humanity

Story at-a-glance:

  • During 2020, Sweden, under the guidance of chief epidemiologist Anders Tegnell, did not universally lock down, shutter small businesses, close schools or implement mask mandates
  • Seniors and other high-risk individuals were asked to stay home, social distance and mask up, while all others were free to live much as they normally would
  • According to the Imperial College of London model, Sweden would have been looking at a death toll of 80,000 by the end of June 2020 if it didn’t lock down. The true number, by mid-September 2020, after no lockdowns at all, still stood at only 5,880, a vast majority of whom were elderly with comorbidities
  • Swedish data show teachers are among the professions that have the lowest risk of hospitalization and death from COVID-19
  • Pandemic lethality has been oversold across the globe, as total mortality for 2020 has not spiked above norms

The COVID-19 pandemic has undoubtedly been the most traumatic period of time in many people’s lives. The devastation wrought is incalculable when you take into account things that aren’t easily measured, such as mental health, physical abuse and food insecurity.

The harsh truth, however, is that virtually none of it was necessary. The real damage occurred as a result of the decisions made by global, national and local health and government officials, acting in concert according to some predetermined plan…

Tegnell’s communication to the Swedish people is one of adult to adult, and by encouraging self-responsibility, he builds a relationship of trust. U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s draconian lockdown edicts, however, are that of parent to child, triggering people to respond either as the fearful child or the rebellious child. It’s a dysfunctional relationship based on intimidation that breeds fear and distrust.

UK: BBC Woman’s Hour Accused of ‘Hostile’ Interview With Muslim Leader

A BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hour interview with the first woman to lead the Muslim Council of Britain has been criticised for being “strikingly hostile”.

More than 100 politicians, writers and other prominent figures have signed an open letter complaining about Zara Mohammed’s “mistreatment” on the show.

It said host Emma Barnett “appeared intent on re-enforcing damaging and prejudicial tropes” about Islam.

A BBC spokesperson said the corporation would reply “in due course”.

The letter’s signatories include Conservative peer Baroness Warsi, Labour MPs Diane Abbott and Naz Shah, journalist Afua Hirsch, Rizzle Kicks’ Jordan Stephens and the Muslim Council of Britain’s founding secretary general Sir Iqbal Sacranie.

“The BBC needs to address its engagement with and representation of Muslim women,” it said.

In particular, it took issue with Barnett for “persistently” asking how many female imams there are in Britain…

Ministers are still pressuring Prime Minister Boris Johnson to introduce ‘domestic passports’ that would only allow those who have taken the COVID-19 vaccine to enter venues such as cinemas, sports stadiums and even pubs and restaurants.

As we highlighted earlier this week, the British government denied for months that it was planning vaccine passports for international travel, but then did a 180 and indicated they were all but inevitable.

Authorities then also suggested that domestic passports could also be mandated that would prevent people who haven’t taken the coronavirus jab from entering cinemas, bars, restaurants and even shops.

Changes Coming for Putin’s Cabal, Sources Say

Kremlin eyes replacing key people, including the Russian army chief-of-staff and head of the FSB

by Dave Makichuk February 12, 2021

Feeling a little jittery in the Kremlin, are we?

With all eyes on the protests over Alexei Navalny’s arrest and prison sentence, it appears President Vladimir Putin is quietly shoring up his support.

It seems the Russian leader may not be feeling as secure as he might like, these days. What with tens of thousands taking to the streets and his pals in the Kremlin getting a tad concerned over the way he is handling things.

According to the Jamestown Foundation, there is plenty of trouble at home.

This would include Moscow’s geopolitical failures in “managing” the Moldovan elections, the growing strength of Turkey in the South Caucasus, the continuing political crisis in Belarus, combined with Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s disloyalty to Moscow, as well as Russia’s worsening economic situation due to the pandemic.

Ongoing declines in Russians’ personal incomes are translating into declining support for the government. According to the latest poll by the Public Opinion Foundation, 52% of Russians criticize the authorities for their handling of the economy, the Jamestown Foundation reported.

Also controversial was the adoption of a package of federal laws designed to consolidate this year’s slate of new amendments to the Russian Constitution. The amendments solidify and extend Putin’s hold on power.

To make matters worse, the new US Secretary of State is hinting that President Joe Biden may take action over the amateurish attempted poisoning of Navalny, the de facto Russian opposition leader, which contravenes international conventions.

That means yet even more sanctions against Russia in the offing, and a worsening of foreign relations with the West.

All in all, it’s not a very secure time for Putin, which is why he is quietly tightening things up across the board and relying on the people most loyal to him, empowering them to pursue increasingly repressive domestic policies.

According to Intelligence Online’s, sources, the Kremlin is considering replacing 65-year-old Valery Guerassimov as chief-of-staff of the Russian army, a position he has held since 2012.

Guerassimov took what appeared to be a first step towards retirement when he was appointed to the honorary but prestigious position of president of the Academy of Military Sciences at the end of last year.

Alexandr Dvornikov, 59, is being tipped to succeed him.

A native of the Russian Far East, Dvornikov commanded the Russian contingent in Syria at the start of Moscow’s military intervention in September 2015, receiving a “Hero of Russia” medal from President Putin at the end of his mission in 2016, Intelligence Online reported.

The head of the turbulent southern military district, Dvornikov was sanctioned by the European Union (EU) in 2019 for his presumed role in the interdiction of three Ukrainian naval vessels in the Kerch Strait in 2018.

According to sources, there appears to be an intelligence shakeup in the cards as well.

The Kremlin is beginning to think generational change in Russia’s security structures, Intelligence Online reported.

The governor of Tula, Alexei Dyumin, Putin’s former bodyguard, is being tipped for appointment as head of the security service, the FSB, after the legislative elections in September, when the ultra-loyal Alexander Bortnikov, who has headed the FSB since 2008, reaches retirement age.

Lower down in the hierarchy, other young generals who have shown loyalty to Putin seem headed for more prominent roles, Intelligence Online reported.

These include Dmitry Mironov, the 53-year old former deputy interior minister who became governor of the region of Yaroslavl in 2016.

Mironov is in charge of a sensitive area — youth policy — at the Council of State, a consultative body made up of regional leaders whose role was recently included in the new Russian constitution, Intelligence Online reported.

Another rising star is Mikhail Babich.

Appointed assistant to the minister for economic development a year ago after serving as Russia’s ambassador to Belarus, Babich recently became assistant to the director of the highly-strategic Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation…

China Most Active in Spreading Disinformation on COVID-19 Origin: Report

Authored by Frank Fang via The Epoch Times

China was the most active country in propagating disinformation on the origin of the COVID-19, according to a newly-released report by the Associated Press (AP) and the Digital Forensic Research Lab of Washington-based think tank Atlantic Council.

The report was the results of a nine-month joint research project, after analyzing millions of social media posts and articles that were published in the first six months of the COVID-19 outbreak. It examined the false narratives that took hold in four countries: China, Iran, Russia, and the United States.

China was much to blame for the disinformation on COVID-19 origin, which is caused by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus, commonly known as the novel coronavirus.

Two YouTubers That Mocked Xi Jinping Have Disappeared

Two producers of a YouTube channel critical of and mocking the Chinese president have gone missing.

China’s leadership has an unfortunate history of showing that they unequivocally have no sense of humor when it comes to any kind of criticism, including jokes made at their expense; and that they won’t hesitate to punish or at least intimidate the “perpetrators.”

The type of humor where the butt of a joke are Chinese and ruling Communist Party officials is seen and treated as just another form of impermissible criticism of those in authority. Reports now seem to be confirming this yet again, saying that a person working for a popular YouTube channel has just “disappeared.”

The owner of the Qiang Guo Wa Ha channel said that two of their producers went missing just ahead of the Lunar New Year. The channel is dedicated to a brand of humor known as “Ru Bao” — whose target is President Xi Jinping.

Facebook Goes Nuclear on Australia — Blocks All News Sharing Across Continent

After Australia’s government this week announced its intent to issue legislative changes known as the “News Media Bargaining Code” by the end of this month, Facebook in retaliation has said it will begin restricting news sharing on its platform in Australia.

It comes a day after the current session of parliament vowed to implement the law by the session’s close, which ends on Feb. 25. The code seeks to force major US-based internet companies to fairly pay local Australian publishers for use of their content. Last month Google threatened to remove its search engine from Australia altogether over the legislation, with Facebook backing Google’s pressure campaign.

NBC describes the new code as aiming “to remove the digital giants’ dominant bargaining positions by creating an arbitration panel with the power to make legally binding decisions on price.”

“The panel would usually accept either the platform’s or the publisher’s best offer, and only rarely set a price in between,” the report describes.

Furious Aussies React to “Zero Warning” Facebook Ban on News Content

The pushback and reaction to Facebook’s drastic ‘retaliation’ on the Australian government has been fierce from both officials and the broader public in the hours following the Wednesday decision of the US-based social media platform to block all news sharing on the continent. Australian officials are warning that Facebook’s actions are severely damaging the ability to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Facebook announcement came a day after on Tuesday the current session of parliament vowed to implement the so-called “News Media Bargaining Code” by end of next week. The controversial legislation will force major US-based internet companies to begin paying local Australian publishers for use of their content. Aussies are now barred from posting, sharing or even viewing news content on Facebook whatsoever in a move that Google had previously threatened with its search engine.

Germany: Court Rules Undocumented Roma Family Can Receive Higher Social Benefits

Immigrants from the Roma community in Germany are entitled to higher social benefits even if they cannot prove their identity or country of origin, the Lower Saxony-Bremen State Social Security Tribunal in Celle has ruled. According to the decision, published on Monday, the Hildesheim district must grant applicants higher benefits under the Asylum Seekers’ Benefits Act.

Previously, a local social court had required the district to pay a six-member Roma family — allegedly from Kosovo — full social benefits and to give them access to the statutory health insurance system. Although the district filed an appeal against the decision, the most recent decision from the tribunal upheld the local court’s decision, according to Junge Freiheit.

Several European nations could not confirm citizenship

The family had not been able to prove their identity for years, and neither Kosovo nor Serbia and North Macedonia could confirm their citizenship. Therefore, since 2015, the district has refused to pay the usual social benefits to the plaintiffs because they had not presented any passports.

California Court Sides With Twitter in Meghan Murphy Lawsuit Who Was Banned for Saying “Women Aren’t Men”

The World is Suffering From Mass Delusional Psychosis

Story at-a-glance:

  • According to psychiatrist and medical legal expert Dr. Mark McDonald, the true public health crisis is not COVID-19 itself; rather, it’s the fear of the infection, which has “morphed and evolved into a form of mass delusional psychosis”
  • Many enter a state of hysteria when they see an unmasked person, even if they look perfectly healthy and clearly are not suffering from any kind of respiratory issue. This is a highly irrational state that has no basis in reality
  • Delusion is defined as believing something that doesn’t conform with reality
  • There are serious concerns about the lasting effects this widespread insanity will have on children as they grow up. One of the worst traumas children suffer as a result of all this fearmongering is the idea that they may kill their parents or grandparents simply by being around them
  • Treating the children’s trauma in therapy is not going to be enough, as parents and other adults are the ones creating the trauma by their own exaggerated fear response. To heal a generation of traumatized children, we must first address the psychosis of the adult population

[…]

The bulk of published science also shows that masks do not prevent the spread of viral infections, and this is particularly true if you’re wearing cloth masks, surgical masks or masks with vents.

Despite all of that, many still enter a state of hysteria when they see an unmasked person, even if they look perfectly healthy and clearly are not suffering from any kind of respiratory issue. This is a highly irrational state that has no basis in reality.

Indeed, according to McDonald, these people are suffering from delusional psychosis, and there are a lot of them. He goes so far as to refer to the outside of his home or office as the “outdoor insane asylum,” where he must assume “that any person that I run into is insane” unless they prove otherwise. As explained by Cheah:…

  1. A selection of documents on how the Russian Empire fought against such a phenomenon as Bacha-bazi in Central Asia.
Written in a slightly outdated language, it will probably be difficult for Google to translate it.
    https://rus-turk.livejournal.com/80321.html

Be that as it may, it is imperative to completely eliminate the bachа (destroy bacha-bazi as a phenomenon), to ensure that they do not appear, so that parents do not sell handsome boys and do not condemn children first to the shameful role of prostitution, and then to the role of a thief and parasite.

For this, the Casian rivoyat is not enough: it is necessary to remove cases of sodomy from the competence of people’s judges and establish the same punishment for all under Russian criminal laws, regardless of whether a native committed sodomy in the native or Russian part of the city. We must remove beautiful boys from use and not repeat in defense of their banal phrases that bachi are only objects of aesthetics, that Europeans also have ballerinas, etc. All this must be thrown away and the vice of Sodom and Gomorrah must still be considered vile vice.

And now they are telling us that the Russians must repent for the sin of colonization …
