“Never Experienced Such Vitriol” — Trump Lawyer’s Home Vandalized Amid Wave of Death Threats
Vandals have stepped up attacks on political officials’ homes this year as the country descends into chaos. Recently, Mitch McConnell and Nancy Pelosi had their homes spray-painted and damaged. Now non-political figures are being targeted.
The suburban Philadelphia home of Michael van der Veen, one of former President Trump’s defense attorneys, was vandalized on Friday night, according to The Hill.
Van der Veen spoke to the reporters Saturday after the Senate acquitted Trump of incitement with a final vote of 57-43, with seven Republicans breaking ranks to vote with the Democrats. He told a press pool about the damage his home sustained.

Bombshell: FBI Investigating Lincoln Project’s ‘Sickening’ Pedophilia Scandal
The FBI has launched an investigation into the sickening pedophilia allegations against Lincoln Project co-founder John Weaver.
According to journalist Yashar Ali, the bureau is looking into whether Weaver “ever behaved inappropriately” with “underage boys”:
There have been numerous credible allegations from Weaver’s victims about how he abused his position at the anti-Trump group to groom boys as young as 14.
Breitbart.com reports: Anyone in the establishment media or the political establishment that feigns surprise over 1) the Lincoln Project funneling millions to themselves or 2) that John Weaver allegedly abused his authority to harass and groom young men and at least one boy, is lying to you.

Last week, I reported on two myths about socialism. My new video covers three more.
Myth No. 3: Socialism works if it’s “democratic.”
As the Democratic Socialists of America put it, “Society should be run democratically — to meet public needs, not to make profits for a few.”
Sounds nice. If socialists are elected, then we’ll have a more just society.
But Venezuela’s socialists were elected.
“They can start off democratically elected,” says economist Ben Powell, director of the Free Market Institute at Texas Tech, but “once they centralize control over the economy, it becomes impossible to ‘un-elect’ them.”
Hugo Chavez was elected but became an authoritarian who chose his successor, Nicolas Maduro. Maduro now gets “elected,” by having opponents arrested and “ordering state employees to vote for him or they lose their job,” says Powell.
“Socialism always becomes authoritarian?” I ask.
“Everywhere you try socialism, that’s what you get,” he replies. “It’s hard to exercise political freedom if you don’t have economic freedoms. If you’re dependent upon the state for your livelihood, you lose your ability to use your voice to oppose (the state) because you can be punished.

What if the Leftists Want a Civil War?
By Sam Younnokis
Any sensible person would welcome the opportunity to reassure doubters that everything is fine. Governments, alas, march to a different beat, asserting that a person’s eyes are lying to him.
Try reporting a UFO sighting, for example. At least Project Blue Book went through the motions of investigation. Or consider the JFK assassination. There was a huge investigation, the results of which didn’t satisfy anyone, but the report was lengthy and showed that the government would treat people with the appearance of respect. Conspiracy theories about “what really happened” persist to this day, but no one seems to be canceled because he believes and speaks out about the alleged suppression of the truth.
Somehow, the assertion of significant or even overwhelming election fraud is being viewed by the government as tantamount to sedition. The response has been not to seriously audit the ballots, the machines, or the process. Instead, it has been more of a “he said, she said” situation, with the caveat that one side is actually showing the artifacts on which it bases its opinion. How can an opinion be seditious? Rather than alienate half the voters, wouldn’t it be more rational to go through each point and attempt to explain it away? After all, not all data are evidence. If the data don’t support a conclusion, then they’re just data. But any theory of what happened has to account for all the data, and “shut up, liar” isn’t an explanation at all…

Italy: Mattarella Recalls ‘Horror’ of Foibe
Countless Italians thrown into pits by Tito’s partisans
(ANSA) — ROME, FEB 10 — President Sergio Mattarella on Wednesday recalled the horror of the Foibe on Remembrance Day for the massacre of the thousands of Italians by Tito’s partisans in ethnic cleansing at the end of WWII.
“The horror of the Foibe strikes our consciences,” he said.
“The suffering, deaths, uprooting, and exodus forced on tens of thousands of families in the areas of the eastern border, of Istria, of Fiume, of the Dalmatian coasts, are inscribed with an indelible mark,” said the head of State.
“The crimes against humanity unleashed in that conflict did not exhaust themselves with the liberation from Nazi-Fascism, but continued in their persecution and violence, perpetrated by another authoritarian regime, the Communist one”.
February 10 is the ‘National Memorial Day of the Exiles and Foibe’.
The ‘foibe’ refers to mass killings mainly in Friuli-Venezia Giulia , Istria and Dalmatia during and after World War II against the local Italian population.
Foibe are narrow Carsic pits or gorges into which victims were thrown, sometimes alive.
As many as 15,000 Italians were tortured or killed by Yugoslav communists who occupied the Istrian peninsula during the last two years of the war.
Many of the victims were tossed into the Foibe during anti-Fascist uprisings in the area and the exact number of victims of these atrocities is unknown, in part because Tito’s forces destroyed local population records to cover up their crimes.
Last July Slovenian President Borut Pahor became the first leader of a former Yugoslav country to mark the Foibe massacres.
Pahor joined Mattarella in laying a wreath at the Basovizza Foiba, where 2,000 Italian soldiers and civilians are believed to have died at the hands of the Communist partisans.
Pahor and Mattarella also signed a deal returning the Narodni Dom or House of the People, torched by Fascists in 1920, to Trieste’s Slovenian community.
Mattarella and Pahor also honoured local author Boris Pahor (no relation), 107, who has written books that stood witness to the terrible WWII events.
On Wednesday several centre-right Italian politicians recalled that the former Italian Communist Party (PCI) played a large part in airbrushing the Foibe from Italian history, and called for vigilance to make sure this would nerer happen again.

Italy: M5S Councillor Spurs Row With Anti-Semitic Post
Cartoon showed Jew with knife behind back in attack on Gedi
(ANSA) — TURIN, FEB 10 — A Turin city councillor for the anti-establishment 5-Star Movement (M5S) has caused a row by posting anti-semitic drawings including a hook-nosed Jew holding a bloody knife behind his back in an attack on the newspaper group that publishes liberal dailies La Repubblica and La Stampa.
Monica Amore, who has a history of posting conspiracy theories against the neoliberal global financial establishment, attacked the Gedi newspaper group for backing former European Central Bank president Mario Draghi’s bid to form a new government.
After condemnation form M5S leaders she apologised for the cartoon but said “I thought it was interesting that the Gedi group had so many backers”.
On Wednesday Amore was inundated with hostile reactions to her post including one that said “Beware, because Benito [Mussolini] was strung up upside down”, referring to the desecration of the slain Fascist dictator’s body in 1945.
“Shame on you, Nazi,” was another post.
Amore has asked for a meeting with Turin’s Jewish community leaders to apologise for what she posted in person.
The M5S is split on supporting Draghi, once an anathema to the anti-establishment movement, but is expected to throw its considerable weight behind him once a delayed online vote takes place.

Palestinian Christians continue to suffer attacks as a result of the Al Aqsa Intifada that started in 2000 when Palestinian Authority President Yasir Arafat unleashed Fatah militants after rejecting all Israeli peace deals under American sponsorship.
Recently, Khader Odeh, a man from the Palestinian refugee camp Aida near Bethlehem who is connected to the Palestinian intelligence apparatuses, tried to kill the Christian doctor Salamah Qumsieh. He attempted to cut off Salama’s hands, then crushed his head, in violence reminiscent of that of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, also known as ISIS. The assault took place in one of Bethlehem’s main streets.
Khader Odeh has been terrorizing the Christians in the Bethlehem area for more than four years. He has burned cars and shot at Christian houses. He threw homemade bombs.

In a video that has now gone viral on social media, a Muslim Kuwaiti singer named Ibtisam Hamid announced her decision to leave Islam and embrace Judaism.
Ibtisam Hamid, popularly known as Basma Al-Kuwaiti, said that she took the decision after realising that Judaism was more tolerant of women rights than Islam. “I am Ibtisam Hamid, also known as Kuwaiti singer Basma Al-Kuwaiti. I declare my apostasy from Islam,” she said in the viral video.
She further added, “Islam is a religion of terror and a religion of hypocrisy, which despises women, oppresses and violates them, and does not give them their full rights and I am proud to say I am Jewish.” The singer had also slammed the ruling Kuwaiti Al-Sabah family for not normalising relations with Israel.

Lebanon: Crowd at Funeral for Loqman Slim in Beirut
Murdered intellectual buried in his home garden
(ANSAmed) — BEIRUT, 11 FEB — An emotional crowd attended the funeral on Thursday in the southern outskirts of Beirut for Loqman Slim, the 58-year-old Shiite intellectual, editor and political activist who was found dead exactly one week ago in southern Lebanon with signs of gunshot wounds.
The funeral took place in the garden of Slim’s family home and was attended by his closest relatives, collaborators, friends, Muslim and Christian religious dignitaries, as well as some Lebanese politicians who were close to Slim and ambassadors to Lebanon from the United States and Germany.
Slim’s wife, Monika Borgman, is of German nationality, and Slim had shared decades of intellectual activity and political struggle with her.
Precisely for his civil and political commitment, which in recent years was directed more and more against the Lebanese Shiite movement Hezbollah, Slim had often attracted attention and threats from followers and sympathizers of the Party of God and Lebanese movements allied with Hezbollah.
Both the family and US and German ambassadors in attendance at the funeral renewed their request for an independent international investigation to shed light on the circumstances of the murder.
The Lebanese justice system has opened an investigation against persons unknown.
No group or entity declared responsibility for his murder.

There is a great deal going on in this clip: vicious antisemitism, “Allahu akbar” in the context of cries of “Death to America! Death to Israel! Curse be on the Jews!,” the Sunni-Shi’ite divide (“The Jews, by means of the Wahhabis, strive to wipe out every [Islamic] symbol” — remember when the “experts” used to tell us that the Wahhabis were the only problematic group and all the other forms of Islam were A-OK?), and more. But what is most noteworthy about it is that Muhammad al-Mu’ayyad assumes that “the system of the West” and “the system of Islam” are incompatible and opposed to one another. The governments of the West are staking their nations’ futures — our future, our children’s futures — on that being false, and on the idea that there is no incompatibility between Sharia and Western secularism at all. How did Al-Mu’ayyad come to this opposing view? How widespread is it? What are the implications of that? No one dares ask such questions. To raise them renders one automatically “Islamophobic.”

Syria: ‘Remains of Palmyra Archaeologist Found’
Assaad, killed by ISIS in 2015, found, Sana says
(ANSAmed) — BEIRUT, FEBRUARY 8 — Syrian government news agency Sana has announced over the past few hours that the remains of Khaled al Assaad have been found. Assaad was a Syrian archaeologist killed by ISIS in 2015 in the region of Palmyra, north-east of Damascus.
The killing of the elderly Khaled al Assaad, who died at 80, angered and moved the whole world. He was captured by ISIS in the area of Palmyra. After being tortured, he was beheaded at the center of the amphitheater of Palmyra. Palmyra hosts the monumental archaeological site to which Assaad had dedicated since the 1960s his work as a researcher in collaboration with international archaeological missions and UNESCO. Assaad received numerous awards during his activity and after his death. In Italy, in October 2015, President Sergio Mattarella named after the archaeologist the area of cultural interest of the Arsenali della Repubblica in Pisa, which had just been renovated.
Also in 2015 Khaled al Asaad was honored as a “righteous” in Milan’s Garden of the Righteous. The Sana news agency stated that Assaad’s body was found together with the remains of two others in the area of Kahlul, east of Palmyra. The remains of the “martyr” are now in Damascus so DNA tests will confirm or deny the identity.

“Confess Your Crime in Writing”: The Persecution of Christians, January 2021
The following are among the abuses inflicted on Christians by Muslims throughout the month of January, 2021:
Attacks on Apostates and Evangelists
Uganda: A Muslim man beat his 13-weeks-pregnant wife, causing her to miscarry, after he learned that she had converted to Christianity. On Jan. 13, Mansitula Buliro, the 45-year-old woman in question and mother of seven, was preparing for Muslim evening prayers with her husband when she began to have Christian visions. On the following day she secretly visited a Christian neighbor, prayed with her, and put her faith in Christ. Right before she left, a Muslim man knocked on the Christian neighbor’s door and said, “Mansitula, I thought you were a Muslim—how come I heard prayers mentioning the name of Issa [Jesus]?” When Mansitula returned home, her husband informed her that he had been told that she had become Christian. “I kept quiet,” Mansitula later explained in an interview:

Inside America’s Counter-Jihad Covert Border War
Contrary to America’s Leftists, “that jihadists would infiltrate land borders among bedraggled war refugees” is not an “outrageous fantasy of fringe racists, nativist immigration restrictionists, and conspiracy lunatics.” So writes Center for Immigration Studies National Security Fellow Todd Bensman in his revealing new book examining America’s Covert Border War: The Untold Story of the Nation’s Battle to Prevent Jihadist Infiltration.
Bensman is an experienced observer of his subject. This former Texas journalist became in 2009 a senior intelligence analyst with the Texas Department of Public Safety’s Intelligence and Counterterrorism Division. With federal security clearance, he worked firsthand with federal agents in Texas government “fusion center” on border security issues.
Particularly since Al Qaeda’s September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, Democratic and Republican administrations alike have worried about terrorist threats breaching America’s southern border, Bensman has documented.

No. It is not a weird planet. It is Islam. Islamic State explained, after the Brussels bombings of 2016,

It looks more like the Lord’s cold shoulder to a planet that does not want Him around or involved in its affairs.
Some years back, a Russian scientist predicted a mini ice age starting about now, lasting into the 40ties, because the sun’s activity is moving into a low phase. Could be related.
