Viktor Orbán: “The Soros network is the greatest threat faced by the states of the European Union”

The renowned Hungarian-American “philanthropist” George Soros has aimed another angry salvo at Hungary and Poland, which have so far resisted the diktats of the European Union and thwarted the plans of Mr. Soros and his minions to achieve full political, monetary, social, and cultural uniformity among the former nation-states of Europe.

The great philanthropist has made Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán a particular target in his latest article. Our Hungarian correspondent CrossWare sends these notes about Mr. Soros’ intervention:

I know you are busy with the sham so-called election over there, but in the meantime the globalist George Soros network launched another attack against Poland and Hungary. The latest article by Soros, who is demanding that EU leaders punish Hungary and Poland for not accepting the undefined “rule of law” conditions attached to the next EU budget, was published by a group called “Project Syndicate”.

When Viktor Orbán wrote a response, the same publication refused to publish it (in the name of tolerance and liberal principles, obviously). For now the Hungarian government official site is hosting the letter, which was published in Hungarian, German and English.

Let’s review what is going on: The EU wants to define the budget for the next seven years. They also want to get a huge loan to “help” the southern nations, which are always in financial trouble, but now with the COVID are even more down than usual.

It also does not help that all southern states — Greece, Spain, Portugal, France and Italy — are under the rule of leftist governments, who are busy pampering illegal Muslim migrants instead of helping their own economy. They are desperate for more money, obviously for more migrants.

Just like the Democrats with their rabid leftists in their ranks, the EU is also having the same ideological trouble. They call it the “respect for the rule of law”, which is somehow lacking in two countries that do not want to accept those nice military-age Muslim rocket scientists. The real term has never been defined, and it is always used as a political bludgeon.

Last summer the European Commission decided not to get into a discussion on this highly political topic, and wanted to discuss it separately. However, the European Parliament, where Soros has a comfortable majority, overruled that decision.

Now they are once again attaching conditions to the EU budget. One must understand that the money in the budget does not provide gifts for Hungary and the other member countries. That is the price for opening their market and adjusting regulations. The best analogy would be that Hungary is a landlord that rents out his apartment. The tenant is the EU, which is using the apartment and its facilities. One day the tenant decides that he will not pay any more rent until the landlord proves he is “cool”.

What does coolness mean? Nobody knows, but it is whatever the tenant wants at that moment. One day it means the landlord must hop on one leg, or perhaps he has to let in more people into the apartment for free; perhaps he should let the tenant to grope the landlord’s children…

Actually, the real problems are as follows:

  • The northern countries do not want to finance the loser southern states. But they do not want to deny them openly; thus they force the arch-enemy states Hungary and Poland into a situation that they know they will never accept.
  • They want both countries to open their borders and accept Muslim migrants. Primarily Germany wants to dump their useless migrant population they have collected over the last few years.
  • The leftists also want migrants imported into those countries to increase their voter base and eliminate alternative ideas against their Liberal-Bolshevik Caliphate.
  • And of course the LGBTQ… XYZ (soon P for pedophilia) mob wants to enter the kindergartens and prepare the next generation of fresh meat for themselves with sensitivity training.

Below are excerpts from Mr. Soros’ article (the complete original is here):

Europe Must Stand Up to Hungary and Poland

by George Soros

The European Union cannot afford to compromise on the rule-of-law provisions it applies to the funds it allocates to member states. How the EU responds to the challenge to those provisions now posed by Hungary and Poland will determine whether it survives as an open society true to the values upon which it was founded.

NEW YORK — Hungary and Poland have vetoed the European Union’s proposed €1.15 trillion ($1.4 trillion) seven-year budget and the €750 billion European recovery fund. Although the two countries are the budget’s biggest beneficiaries, their governments are adamantly opposed to the rule-of-law conditionality that the EU has adopted at the behest of the European Parliament. They know that they are violating the rule of law in egregious ways, and do not want to pay the consequences.

It is not so much an abstract concept like the rule of law that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and, to a lesser extent, Poland’s de facto ruler, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, oppose. For them, the rule of law represents a practical limit on personal and political corruption. The veto is a desperate gamble by two serial violators.

It was also an unprecedented step, coming at a moment when Europe is suffering from a dangerous surge of COVID-19 cases, and it threw the other EU countries’ representatives into confusion. But when the shock wore off, closer analysis revealed that there is a way around the veto.

The rule-of-law regulations have been adopted. In case there is no agreement on a new budget, the old budget, which expires at the end of 2020, is extended on a yearly basis. Hungary and Poland would not receive any payments under this budget, because their governments are violating the rule of law.

Likewise, the recovery fund, called Next Generation EU, could be implemented by using an enhanced cooperation procedure, as Guy Verhofstadt has proposed. If the EU went down this road, the Orbán-Kaczynski veto could be circumvented. The question is whether the EU, with German Chancellor Angela Merkel perhaps leading the way, can muster the political will.

I am a committed supporter of the EU as a model of an open society built on the rule of law. Being of Hungarian Jewish origin, I am particularly concerned with the situation in Hungary, where I have been active as a philanthropist for more than 30 years.

Hungary’s opposition parties are bravely trying to challenge Orbán by forming a common list of candidates for the 2022 general election. But their chances of success are limited because Orbán can change the rules at short notice, as he has already done several times before. Conveniently, Orbán is planning to introduce the latest changes to the electoral law while the pandemic is raging, Budapest is under curfew, and soldiers are patrolling the streets.

Moreover, Orbán exercises almost total control over the countryside, where the majority of the population lives. He controls the information they receive, and voting in many villages is not secret. There is practically no way the opposition can prevail.

Only the EU can help. EU funds, for example, should be directed to local authorities, where there is still a functioning democracy in Hungary, unlike at the national level.

The EU can’t afford to compromise on the rule-of-law provisions. How it responds to the challenge posed by Orbán and Kaczynski will determine whether it survives as an open society true to the values upon which it was founded.

Europe must not succumb to the Soros network

November 25, 2020

Reply to the article by George Soros

Many believe that the prime minister of a country should not enter into an argument with George Soros. Their reasoning is that Soros is an economic criminal, because he made his money through speculation, ruining the lives of millions of people, and even blackmailing entire national economies. Just as governments must not negotiate with terrorists, they say, prime ministers must likewise not debate with economic criminals.

Yet now I am compelled to do so, because in an article appearing on the Project Syndicate website on 18 November, the Hungarian-born speculator and billionaire George Soros issued open commands to the leaders of the European Union. In his article he instructs them to severely punish those Member States that do not want to become part of a unifying European empire under the banner of a global “open society”.

Throughout history, Europe’s strength has always been derived from its nations. Although of different origins, European nations were bound together by the common roots of our faith. The foundation of our communities was the European family model, itself based on Judeo-Christian traditions. It was Christian freedom which ensured freedom of thought and culture, and which created benign competition among the continent’s nations. This magnificent amalgam of contrasts made Europe the world’s leading power through centuries of history.

Every attempt to unify Europe under the aegis of empire has failed. Thus historical experience tells us that Europe will be great again if its nations become great again, and resist all forms of imperial ambition.

Great forces are once again moving to eradicate the nations of Europe and unify the continent under the aegis of a global empire. The Soros network, which has woven itself through Europe’s bureaucracy and its political elite, has for years been working to make Europe an immigrant continent. Today the Soros network, which promotes a global open society and seeks to abolish national frameworks, is the greatest threat faced by the states of the European Union. The goals of the network are obvious: to create multi-ethnic, multicultural open societies by accelerating migration, and to dismantle national decision-making, placing it in the hands of the global elite.

The European Union is suffering from multiple afflictions: since 2008 an economic crisis of proportions not seen for generations; since 2015 a migration crisis; and in 2020 a devastating global pandemic. Europe has still not recovered from its previous crises, and so the impact of the coronavirus pandemic has the potential for even greater distress. There are already signs of this: in several countries public debt, unemployment rates and the general economic situation have reached critical levels. The need for European solidarity, for European nations to come together to help each other, has never been greater.

During all these crises, this speculator — who calls himself a philanthropist — did not consider the interests of the people of Europe, but acted to his own advantage. Memorably he attacked the Hungarian forint and Hungary’s largest bank in the economic crisis, and he planned to speed up, distribute and finance the resettlement of immigrants during the migrant crisis; and now he is proposing that Member States punish one another, instead of embracing solidarity and mutual assistance.

The network directed by George Soros has now discarded any hesitancy it may have had about open intervention. He wants to put more pressure on nation states than ever before. He is setting the peoples of Europe against one another. The network’s operational system is labyrinthine, and is present in various arenas of public life. On the payroll of George Soros are a long list of politicians, journalists, judges, bureaucrats and political agitators masquerading as members of civil society organizations. And although the billionaire accuses all his enemies of corruption, he himself is the most corrupt man in the world. He pays off and buys whoever he can — and those whom he cannot bribe will be slandered, humiliated, intimidated and destroyed by the network through its formidable weapon: the left-wing media battalions.

Many high-ranking EU bureaucrats are working with the Soros network to create a unified empire. They want to build an institutional system that, under the aegis of the open society, seeks to force a unified way of thinking, a unified culture and a unified social model on Europe’s free and independent nations. They seek to rescind the right of every people to decide its own destiny. This is also the purpose of their “rule of law” proposal — which does not, in fact, recognize the rule of law, but of strength. It would be more honest to call it the “rule of the majority”.

The differences between us are obvious. Soros wants an open society, while we want a safe society. According to him, democracy can only be liberal, while we think it can be Christian. According to him, freedom can only serve self-realization, while we believe that freedom can also be used to follow the teachings of Christ, to serve one’s country, and to protect our families. The basis of Christian freedom is the freedom to decide. This is now in jeopardy.

We in the eastern part of the EU know very well what it means to be free. The history of the nations of Central Europe has been a relentless struggle for freedom against great empires, a repeated battle to win our right to decide our own destinies. We have bitter first-hand experience that every imperial endeavor brings enslavement. There are still quite a few here from the generation of freedom fighters — in the former Eastern Bloc, from Estonia to Slovenia, from Dresden to Sofia — who can personally remember what it is like to oppose tyranny, the rule of man and its communist version: intimidation, material and moral ruination, physical and mental abuse. We want no more of that.

Western leaders who have lived their whole lives in a world of inherited freedom and the rule of law should now listen to those who have fought for freedom and who — based on their personal life experiences — can distinguish between the rule of law and tyranny, or the rule of man. Such Western leaders must accept that in the 21st century we shall not surrender the freedom we fought to achieve at the end of the 20th century.

The battle for and against the new Brussels empire has not yet been decided. Brussels seems to be surrendering, but many nation states continue to resist. If we want to preserve our freedom, Europe must not succumb to the Soros network.

  1. Propose a $1.4 Trillion budget and you’ve got Soros’ attention. Like it or not, Soros network is an empire in itself – an empire that casts it’s shadow over nations and unions. Orban, indeed, had no choice but to respond.

  2. Soros was always a greedy rich middleman. He didn’t suddenly change one day.
So, if he is still the greedy rich middleman, who is paying him now?

Well, who better than a greedy rich middleman to wash billions of Islamic money? Oil Sheikh money needs to be moved to Europe in order to finance the Islamification process.
When they tried to do this directly, by financing 400 new mosques in 2015, politicians turned against them. Suddenly Soros entered the scene, drawing maps for illegal immigrants. Organizing money via debit cards like Mastercard etc. Financing NGOs. Walking in and out of the EU HQ as if he owned the place. Installing NGO workers as judges and plaintiffs at the European Court of Human Righteousness.

What better way to hide the flow of money, than funnel that money through a greedy rich middleman.

  3. Szilard Demeter, a ministerial commissioner and head of the Petofi Literary Museum in Budapest, used highly provocative language to describe Hungarian-American financier George Soros and his purported influence over EU policy.

“Europe is George Soros’ gas chamber,” the government-appointed cultural commissioner wrote in an op-ed. “Poison gas flows from the capsule of a multicultural open society, which is deadly to the European way of life.”

  4. I am sitting here scratching my head as to why Soro’s and his ilk are still alive? I mean you would think someone’s secret service should have eliminated him by now?

  5. Look at CIA Brennans’ comments over time. His part of the IC does not want Soros stopped.
Totalitarians want secrecy, until their boot heels are on the way to our throats.

  6. Soros is always a middle man and he practices “enemy of my enemy is my friend” motto. He supported Arab Spring and make Sub-Saharan countries unstable. Being a Jewish faith, he supported Israeli Governments (A. Sharon, B. Netanyahu) and ended the peace talks with Palestine. In Asia (I’m from an Asian country), his Open Society Org, came in and asked our NGOs to request specific supports from the EU Funds. They organised trainings to teach us how to negotiate with EU. Then they set up Open Society European Union Institut and give advices to the EU and member countries. One thing for sure is that, Soros and Open Society will not do any thing that won’t benefit them. So, when they give advices, EU needs to be careful and read the between-the-lines. Moreover, in Asia, he played the Real Estate speculation games and made our countries’ real estate market explodes. Now with the USA as well, the BlackLivesMatter was supported by him and the Dominion Voting machines are controlled by him to choose the person he prefers to become the President. I’m sure, all the governments in EU are also manipulated if they use Dominion and Smartmatic (knowingly or unknowingly). He is a World’s threat and must be sued by the world countries for triggering instability in World’s Countries!
