WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) —- Wauwatosa police are continuing to search for the suspect involved in a shooting at Mayfair Mall that has left eight people injured Friday, Nov. 20.
Wauwatosa officials said seven adults and one teen were shot. They were transported to local hospitals by Wauwatosa Fire Department and are expected to survive.
Police said when they arrived at the mall, the shooter was “no longer at the scene.”
Officers said the shooting is believed to be the result of an altercation and not a random act. They described the shooter as a white male, in his 20s or 30s.

Facebook, Twitter, And Google Team Up With UK Government to Censor Vaccine-Skeptic Content Online
Facebook, Twitter, and Google will work with the governments of the UK and Canada and “fact-checking” organizations to censor the spread of coronavirus vaccine skepticism online. Vaccine-critical conversations have increased since Moderna and Pfizer announced their vaccine candidates and governments and Big Tech want it suppressed.
The initiative is to be coordinated by Full Fact; a fact-checking non-profit based in the UK.

France: Man Caught With Sawn-Off Shotgun and Machete Plotted to Kill Police
Police have arrested an 18-year-old man near a high school in the commune of Lunéville on suspicion of plotting to murder police officers while armed with a sawn-off shotgun and a machete.
The arrest came after a man called police on November 12th and claimed to have been attacked near the Boutet de Monvel High School at around 8:50 a.m. When officers arrived, they found a man at the scene with the tip of a firearm protruding from his bag.

Free Speech Protests Break Out in France Over New Law That Makes Video-Recording Police a Crime
The French government is being criticized for attempting to limit press freedoms and free speech. The issue is rather weird from a country that has recently been championing itself as supporting freedom of speech — but not so weird considering the various online censorship laws that lawmakers keep trying to pass in the country.
The French government recently passed a new security law containing a clause that banned the filming of law enforcement officers. George Soros: Europe Must Stand Up to Hungary and Poland
The European Union cannot afford to compromise on the rule-of-law provisions it applies to the funds it allocates to member states, billionaire financier George Soros wrote in an op-ed article entitled “Europe must stand up to Hungary and Poland” on Project Syndicate, a website largely financed by his Open Society Foundation.
“How the EU responds to the challenge to those provisions now posed by Hungary and Poland will determine whether it survives as an open society true to the values upon which it was founded,” Soros wrote. Geert Wilders, the leader of the populist Party for Freedom (PVV) in the Netherlands, slammed liberal Prime Minister Rutte during a recent debate over freedom of expression in the Dutch parliament, saying that his pro-mass migration policies have allowed for the importation of a “monster called Islam into our country.”

In an explosive new report published in The Wall Street Journal, a top executive at the American behemoth Airbnb had revealed that he had resigned last year over the company’s dubious data-sharing practices in China. The executive, who resigned barely after six months into service, had alleged that Airbnb shared details such as phone numbers, email addresses with the Chinese government when the users booked a rental.
Sean Joyce, a former deputy director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, was hired in May 2019 by the home rental service Airbnb as its first “chief trust officer”, a role which involved safeguarding users’ safety on the platform.
However, six months later, he expressed concerns over the organisation’s practice of sharing data on millions of its users with the Chinese authorities. Joyce was alarmed that the organisation was not fully transparent about the data shared with the Chinese Communist Party, including details of Americans who used the company’s services in China.

British Home Secretary Priti Patel seems to have kept her job for now after facing allegations of bullying. The minister has apologized today for unintentionally “having upset” people in the past, while Prime Minister Boris Johnson had also shown his support for his home secretary keeping her in her office.
The allegations against Patel come in a context of serious tensions between Britain’s civil service, which is often accused of being a legacy of Labour Prime Minister Tony Blair, and the Conservative government. Hundreds of Bosnians Protest Against Migrants Following Murder of Young Bosnian
Several hundred Bosnians took to the streets on Wednesday, asking authorities to send migrants occupying the streets to camps. The rally followed a stabbing incident which left a local man dead and two other people injured, AP informed.
Police reported that officers intervened in a fight in the town of Ilidza near Sarajevo on Tuesday evening. At the scene, police found a body of a Bosnian man while three suspects managed to escape.
“According to police findings, they are migrants,” said police spokesman Mirza Hadziabdic.
Indeed, authorities later arrested a national of Morocco, born in 1986, who is suspected of killing the young man in Ilidza.

Poll: Majority of French in Favor of Abolishing Family Reunification for Migrants
Le Figaro published an exclusive collection of interviews, analyzes, and experts’ reports under the title Le Figaro Enquêtes, France facing the challenge of immigration. In the publication, political scientists dissect the perception of immigration in France.
One of the polls conducted by the Ifop public opinion research institute shows that only 32 percent of French people think that public authorities fight effectively against illegal immigration. A large majority of them are in favor of strict measures to limit the inflow of migrants as 78 of the French think that immigration is a choice that does not go hand in hand with suffering.
Furthermore, 55 percent of the respondents are in favor of abolishing family reunification for migrants, and 58 percent of them want to introduce “right of blood” laws, which would mean that citizenship is only acquired through ethnicity or nationality from the parents. Currently, a child born to foreign parents on French soil has the right to French citizenship when they become adults.

UK: Man Who Threatened Prime Minister and MPs Over Fear Mother Would Fail Immigration Test Jailed
Wajid Shah, 27, was jailed for two years after being found guilty of six counts of sending threatening communications to lawmakers, including a death threat to former Prime Minister Theresa May. The court heard that Shah had sent messages to those connected to British immigration laws over fears his mother would fail her citizenship test.
The Slough resident was first arrested for sending threatening messages in March 2019 and was rearrested the following month after he continued to send malicious communications. Charged in September 2019, he was found guilty at Southwark Crown Court on October 6th after a six-day trial and was sentenced on Friday.

The Facebook Oversight Board has been a cause of much consternation ever since it was proposed.
