Any Hope for a “V-Shaped Recovery” Has Been Completely Crushed

We were supposed to be well into a “recovery” by now, but instead more bad economic news just keeps pouring in. In fact, the numbers that I am going to share with you in this article are absolutely eye-popping. Initially, many of the economic optimists had been trying to convince us that we would experience a “short, sharp recession” followed by a “V-shaped recovery”. Well, at this point it has become quite clear that we can forget all about that scenario. The mainstream media is increasingly starting to use the word “depression” to describe what is happening to the U.S. economy, and the raw numbers definitely support the use of that label. For example, the Atlanta Fed’s GDPNow model is now projecting that U.S. GDP will decline by 46.6 percent on an annualized basis during the second quarter of 2020…

DraftKings Insiders Dump $596 Million of Stock on Unsuspecting Robinhood Daytraders

by Tyler Durden

DraftKings Inc. filed several Form 4s with the Securities and Exchange Commission this week regarding insider selling by the president of the company, Paul Liberman, and others.

It turns out, as more than 100,000 Robinhood daytraders panic bought DraftKings since its Nasdaq debut in April, soaring 237% in months — Liberman and other insiders dumped a whopping $596 million worth of shares.

On the pump, Liberman sold $31 million worth of stock, with about $15 million left. CEO Jason Robin sold $70 million worth of stock, while director Hany Nada liquidated $37 million.

Clearly, by now, readers should understand the parabolic rise in DraftKings’ shares was nothing more than a spectacular pump — as what comes next is likely the dump.

But wait, there are more insiders dumping stock: Director Steven Joseph Murray sold $40 million worth of shares, while directors Shalom Meckenzie and John Salter sold collectively around $125 million.

Italy: Tax Cuts Can No Longer be Delayed — Audit Court

State auditor calls for strategy to recover growth

(ANSA) — ROME, JUN 24 — Italy’s Audit Court said Wednesday that tax cuts “can no longer be postponed” given the economic earthquake caused by the coronavirus emergency.

The State auditor also called for a rapid strategy to regain sustained growth levels.

The court said the current State budgetary expansion was necessary.

But it also stressed that the more the government is committed to using the extra spending to overcome the economy’s structural weaknesses, the greater the credibility to be able to have a higher debt-GDP ratio.

It said tax cuts should target labour, pensions and businesses as the high tax burden could hold back the recovery.

Media-Induced Fear of COVID-19 is Starting to Cause a Second Wave of Severe Economic Panic

Fear of COVID-19 absolutely crippled the U.S. economy during the first half of this year, and now it appears that there are some people that are pushing for that to happen again during the second half of 2020. Earlier this evening, I came across a headline that boldly declared that there will be “180,000 U.S. deaths of COVID-19 by October”, and right now just about every mainstream news outlet is running stories about how the number of confirmed cases in the U.S. is surging. And it is definitely true that we are seeing an alarming rise in the number of confirmed cases. In fact, the number of new cases in the U.S. on Wednesday set a new record…

Antifa Offers Perfect Cover for Jihad

America slowly has been going through a process called subversion. Regrettably, not many Americans have a slightest clue that this takes place daily here at home. Muslims have become calculatingly meek and mild in their demeanor. They have learned how the American system works. For now, they are not openly resorting to violent jihad although we know Islam cannot be separated from its most powerful tool, Jihad. Without Jihad, Islam would go through a slow death. Jihad is perpetual in Islam. They both need each other for their survival.

Here is the disturbing question, what if this violent domestic group known as Antifa offers perfect cover for jihad and secretly works with the Islamic organizations as an arm of violent jihad?

According to Diana West, “here is more on Antifa/jihad connections from Edward Klein’s book, All Out War: The Plot to Destroy Trump. Note that in Portland they were chanting, “Allah-u Akbar, smash these Nazi scums.”

Caroline Glick: The Silent American Jews

The silence of the Jews of America in the face of rising anti-Semitism is stunning.

Over the Shavuot festival on May 30, members of Black Lives Matter, (BLM) carried out a pogrom in Fairfax, the oldest Jewish community in Los Angeles, largely populated today by ultra-Orthodox Jews. They vandalized five synagogues and three Jewish schools. Most of the Jewish businesses on Fairfax Avenue were looted.

As Daniel Greenfield reported at Frontpage, Allyson Rowen Taylor, a co-founder of StandWithUs shared an account of the riots in which they chanted, “Fk the police and kill the Jews.”

Aryeh Rosenfeld, whose store was looted, told the Jerusalem Post that when he came to defend his store there were people driving through the streets screaming, “effing Jews,” at the Jewish store owners.

Greenfield revealed that the Jews were not incidental victims in a larger night of “anti-racist” rioting by BLM. BLM in Los Angeles is led by outspoken anti-Semites with intimate ties to the virulently anti-Semitic Nation of Islam.

Over the past several years both the BLM-Los Angeles head Melina Abdullah and her daughter Thandiwe Abdullah who is the co-founder of the BLM Youth Vanguard have racked up long records of anti-Semitic rants and fawning praise for Nation of Islam leader Farrakhan. Farrakhan who has praised Hitler, recently called Jews “termites,” and obsessively rails against Judaism and Jews.

As its charter makes clear, BLM itself is structurally anti-Semitic.

While accusing Israel of committing “genocide,” BLM blames Israel for the U.S. war against militant Islam. Its charter states, “The U.S. justifies and advances the global war on terror via its alliance with Israel and is complicit in the genocide taking place against the Palestinian people.”

According to the BLM charter, U.S. military aid to Israel is the foundation of America’s problems. Because of U.S. military aid to Israel, BLM alleges, “every year billions of dollars are funneled from U.S. taxpayers to hundreds of arms corporations, who then wage lobbying campaigns pushing for even more foreign military aid. The results of this policy are twofold: it not only diverts much needed funding from domestic education and social programs, but it makes U.S. citizens complicit in the abuses committed by the Israeli government.”

In other words, Israel is the root of America’s troubles at home and abroad..

Is Portland, Oregon Ready to Elect an Antifa Mayor?

A poll came out this week showing Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler in a dead heat with his challenger. Sarah Iannarone, who forced a runoff in the May primary, has declared herself “the antifa candidate” for mayor.

Hot Air reported earlier this month:

Longtime Portland community organizer Sarah Iannarone has made no secret of her political sympathies. She declared last year that “I am Antifa” and wryly embraced the “Antifa mayor” label. She and her campaign manager, Gregory McKelvey, were featured in a December article in Playboy with the headline “Antifa in Focus.”

“I am antifa,” she tweeted in September. “I stand proudly beside the good people of this city organizing in countless ways every day to oppose hate in its myriad forms.”

Two months later, she tweeted, “If they’re going to call me ‘Antifa Mayor,’ then I might as well fight fascism.”

Students Are Demanding a Professor be Fired for Opposing Slavery

Students are petitioning to have a professor at Loyola University New Orleans fired over his opinions on slavery, even though he vehemently opposes it.

Economics professor Walter Block says his opposes slavery because he is a libertarian, but that reasoning isn’t good enough for some students, who wish to see the professor removed because he doesn’t have exactly the same opinions as they do.

A petition, signed by over 600 students, alleges that Block has ‘racist and sexist beliefs’.

The petition claims that Block “has publicly stated that he believes slavery to be wrong because it goes against Libertarianism, not because it is morally wrong.”

Tear Gas and Dumpster Fires: Antifa Militants Try to Take Over Portland Police Station (Videos)

This time, the protesters targeted Portland police’s north precinct. They did all their usual stuff, such as tagging the police building, setting up pallets and barricades, and lighting random stuff on fire, before the police moved in and actually did their job for the second time in a week, if you can believe that!

Coronavirus Handling Failure Made Sweden a Regional Outcast, Boosted Right-Wing Parties

Sweden’s uniquely lax treatment of the coronavirus pandemic has made it an outcast among the traditionally closely allied Nordic states of Finland, Norway and Denmark, and has also severely eroded the popularity of its Social-Democrat government, conservative Hungarian daily Magyar Nemzet reports.

According to the latest data, Sweden had 63,890 coronavirus cases and 5,230 casualties against 8,788 cases and 249 casualties in neighboring Norway. While Sweden’s population is 10.2 million versus Norway’s 5.3 million, even allowing that Sweden has double the population, the difference is still staggering. Sweden had 518 deaths per one million inhabitants while Norway’s death rate was only 46 per million.

In its recent analysis, Swedish news portal SVT called the pandemic a “political game changer”, pointing out that the conservative Democrats closed most of the popularity gap that separated them from the ruling party. According to an SVT poll, if elections were to be held now, the Social Democrats would receive only 30 percent of the votes, followed by the moderate liberal-conservative party with 20.7 percent and the right-wing Democrats with 18.4 percent.

Former CEO of Scandal-Hit Wirecard Arrested in Germany

In relation to the case of 1.9 billion missing from accounts

(ANSA-AFP) — FRANKFURT AM MAIN, 24 GIU — The former chief executive of Wirecard, Markus Braun, has been arrested on suspicion of market manipulation, German prosecutors said Tuesday, after the payments provider admitted that 1.9 billion euros missing from its accounts likely “do not exist”.

Prosecutors in Munich said Austrian-born Braun, who resigned as CEO on Friday, had voluntarily presented himself to the authorities on Monday evening after the arrest warrant was issued. Current investigations show that “the conduct of the accused justifies the suspicion of inaccurate presentation concurring with market manipulation,” they said in a statement.

It marks the latest twist in what is fast turning into one of Germany’s biggest ever financial frauds, drawing comparisons with the Enron accounting scandal of the early 2000s in the United States. (ANSA-AFP).

Germany: Mobility Revolution May Cause 48% Job Loss by 2040

Ministry of Economy, it will also affect repairs and services

(ANSA) — ROMA, 19 GIU — The transformation of mobility could entail a real revolution in the automotive production system in Germany, causing a job loss of between 39 and 48% by 2040, according to ‘Automobile Wertschoepfung 2030/2050’, a study carried out before the pandemic by the Federal Ministry of Economy and Environment, in collaboration with IPE, IKA, FKA, and Roland Berger.

Along with factories — where a 10-24% drop in employment could be recorded within ten years, equal to about 640,000 jobs — assistance, after-sales and repairs could also suffer from the spread of electric and semi-autonomous models.

According to the study, the automotive services sector could drop from about 180,000 current employees to 130,000 by 2030, and 110,000 by 2040. In the most extreme scenario, with the widespread use of self-driving vehicles, jobs could amount to 90,000 by 20240, half of them today. The study authors identified three main reasons for job losses in trade and the aftermarket: lower repair needs and lower repair costs for electric cars, lower accident rates for self-driving vehicles, and fewer vehicles in circulation.

Italy: Tuscan Governor Rossi Says Transport Probe is ‘Ridiculous’

Case concerns alleged tender rigging say sources

(ANSA) — Rome, June 17 — Tuscan Governor (post-Communist) Enrico Rossi said Wednesday that accusations in a reported probe by Florence prosecutors in which he one of several people under investigation were “defamatory and ridiculous”. Sources said that Rossi, a member of the centre-left Democratic Party (PD), is suspected of public tender rigging in a probe into a local public-transport contract.

The tender, worth four billion euros over 11 years, was won by Autolinee Toscane SPA, which is part of the French RATP group.

The sources said Rossi was probed in relation an interview he gave in November 2015 in which he allegedly spoke about Autolinee Toscane SPA winning the tender before the process had been completed. Six other people are also under investigation, the sources said.

“I’ll wait for the right moment to sue the defamers,” Rossi said via Facebook.

He said the same case stemmed from a complaint lodged by “a consortium of companies that lost the tender.

“They are not just accusing me, but the whole (tender) commission and the transport sector managers”.

Priyamvada Gopal’s Double Bind

Gopal, it seems, felt emotionally blackmailed by Time’s stark representation of one of Afghanistan’s most terrible realities. I feel I ought to assume that some part of her understands that pre-medieval religious codes mandating the mutilation of 18-year olds are completely deplorable. But nowhere in her article could she bring herself to actually say this. For to have done so, in Gopal’s mind, would have been to endorse a neo-colonialist narrative which invokes women’s rights only to denigrate the “other” and to drum up support for Imperialist wars of aggression.

So, instead, she buried her concerns about the spiteful disfigurement of Afghan girls and women, and instead mounted a furious defence of Afghan culture and an equally furious denunciation of the West’s alleged hypocrisy. Time’s use of such an emotive image, she argued, was simply another instance of the West egregiously misrepresenting the Global South as inferior and backward:

Formulaic narratives are populated by tireless Western humanitarians, sex-crazed polygamous paedophiles (most Afghan men) and burqa-clad “child-women” who are broken in body and spirit or have just enough doughtiness to be scripted into a triumphal Hollywood narrative.

Apparently by now oblivious to the fact that the young girl in question was — and still is — a survivor of real and horrific male violence, Gopal dismissed her image with this:…

China vs. The West: The Start of a Second Cold War

by Nikola Kedhi

Chinese leader Xi Jinping, the politburo and the entirety of the ruling class have clearly envisaged a Chinese century, shaped to their liking and belonging to them, similarly to how the previous century saw America rise as a world superpower.

To be fair, China has tried to open up, both politically and financially. But it was just enough to allow it to grow economically, without giving up any real political control. And as Chinese leaders would soon discover, there can be no free markets and enduring growth without democracy and political freedom.

The COVID-19 Crisis

The coronavirus crisis, both the medical and economic parts, proved to be a turning point in the West’s relationship with China. It was an awakening to a reality that has existed for decades, but which economic and political interests had hidden and obscured. Whether the release of COVID-19 was intentional or accidental remains to proven. And it will, if leaders such as Donald Trump and Boris Johnson remain true to their words. Nevertheless, the virus caused a shakeup in the status quo that will have deeper adverse ramifications for the Chinese dragon than for the US, as this analysis deduces from the facts that are present.

Chinese troops carried out a “premeditated and planned action that was directly responsible for the resulting violence and casualties”, Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar said on June 17.

Warning — Apple Suddenly Catches TikTok Secretly Spying on Millions of iPhone Users

As I reported on June 23, Apple has fixed a serious problem in iOS 14, due in the fall, where apps can secretly access the clipboard on users’ devices. Once the new OS is released, users will be warned whenever an app reads the last thing copied to the clipboard. As I warned earlier this year, this is more than a theoretical risk for users, with countless apps already caught abusing their privacy in this way.

Worryingly, one of the apps caught snooping by security researchers Talal Haj Bakry and Tommy Mysk was China’s TikTok. Given other security concerns raised about the app, as well as broader worries given its Chinese origins, this became a headline issue. At the time, TikTok owner Bytedance told me the problem related to the use of an outdated Google advertising SDK that was being replaced.

Well, maybe not. With the release of the new clipboard warning in the beta version of iOS 14, now with developers, TikTok seems to have been caught abusing the clipboard in a quite extraordinary way. So it seems that TikTok didn’t stop this invasive practice back in April as promised after all.

UNM Lost Nearly $50 Million From COVID-19, Still Gave $100k to Illegal Immigrants

The University of New Mexico is providing illegal immigrant students with economic aid after discovering they are ineligible for federal aid through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Recovery (CARES) Act, despite announcing in May that the coronavirus pandemic cost it nearly $50 million in lost revenue.

After receiving $17.2 million in federal aid to help offset some of its losses, $8.6 million of which is required to be distributed directly to students as a form of economic stimulus, the school has also claimed to devote more than $100,000 for illegal immigrant students.

As Social Media Censorship Increases, Parler is Having a Moment

Social app Parler has hit number one in the News Section of the App Store. The increase in social media censorship is partly responsible for the increase in downloads of the app, a social media platform that promises to uphold free speech.

In French, Parler means “to speak.” It is a social networking service, and microblogging platform (like Twitter) launched in 2018 by John Matze. Matze could not contain his excitement on his app’s achievement. He posted a screenshot of the charts and declared it a victory over “tech tyrants,” obviously referring to Twitter and Facebook.

Jeffrey Epstein Celebrates Gay Pride From the Grave

The latest and best Jeffrey Epstein book, A Convenient Death, by Alana Goodman and Daniel Halper, strongly suggests that Epstein was a mastermind of a pedophile network serving the rich and powerful that involved gay blackmail, similar to the Lavender Mafia in the Roman Catholic Church that protects and rewards pedophile and predator priests.

This new book provides the circumstantial evidence that Epstein’s deepest and darkest secret was that he was a practicing homosexual and that, as sick as this may sound, his entourage of young girls provided a cover story that actually made him seem “respectable” to the movers and shakers in New York and Washington, D.C. Billionaires like Bill Gates associated with Epstein after he was convicted of sex crimes.

He may have been bisexual, but the book makes it clear that homosexuality, blackmail, and extortion were behind his initial acquisition of wealth and power. Later, Epstein used the young girls to provide blackmail material on other elites.

PayPal, Pepsi, BMW, HP, Doritos and More Corporations Join Facebook Boycott Unless Facebook Censor More

There’s currently a campaign out there, hashtagged, “Stop hate for profit.”

(And, by the way, good luck stopping anything for profit.)

To make things worse, this campaign looks like a list of corporations hoping to maximize their business by being on the right bandwagon at this particular junction in US history — while at the same time taking aim at a much bigger and more powerful member of their own club — Facebook.

Stop Pandering to Leftists’ Systemic Racism “Big Lie”

Fake news media and Democrats repeatedly use the bullying tactic dictating what everyone must say and think about an issue. Anyone who dares to go against their narrative is high-tech burned at the stake in the public square. Here are a few examples of the growing long list of topics we are not allowed to tell the truth about.

People have been fired for stating the scientific fact that a man cannot transform into a woman. A broadcaster was fired for stating the biblical truth that “all lives matter”.

Leftists’ latest “Big Lie” that we don’t dare reject is America is irreversibly infected with “systemic racism.” Sadly and frustratingly, Christian broadcasters, corporations, and politicians are on their knees, bombarding us with TV commercials pledging to fix the cruelty blacks are suffering at the hands of racist white America. Their cowardly surrender to the “Big Lie” turns my stomach!

Tech Censorship: VDare.com Today, Newswithviews Tomorrow?

The big tech companies support leftism and globalism. They don’t like dissidents reaching Americans with their views. And so they are moving to shut down dissent.

It doesn’t all happen at once. But by brandishing the banners of tolerance, multiculturalism, “anti-racism”, “hate speech”, etc. they can squeeze us out eventually.

One of the best sources on the Internet for news and analysis on immigration and related topics Is VDARE.COM, which has been in existence for twenty years.

VDARE.COM was founded by Peter Brimelow, who used to write for National Review but was kicked off for posing too many questions about immigration policy. Can’t have that…

Now, VDARE.COM’s domain name registrar (Network Solutions) is terminating the website’s account. Network Solutions gave VDARE.COM just ten days notice.

Its only stated reasons were supposed violations of its “Acceptable Use Policy” and this cryptic statement “we consider your continued use of our services a serious issue and risk to our business and corporate reputation”.

  1. There is a price to pay for being consciously unconscious. It’s hard to believe that these primitive racist killers can knock on any EU door – and walk right in. The ladies left (sic) in Bruxelles it seems like to see. “….the whites of their eyes”.
