Gates of Vienna News Feed 6/16/2020

The future Baron is here for a visit, and I didn’t have time to do anything but the news feed tonight.

There are so many stories about Black Lives Matter protests, defunding the police, and the pulling down of statues that I can’t begin to summarize them. I also recommend looking at the articles about migrants arriving in Greece, who apparently are being escorted there by the Turkish coast guard.

To see the headlines and the articles, click “Continue reading” below.

Thanks to AF, Fjordman, JD, Reader from Chicago, SS, and all the other tipsters who sent these in.

Notice to tipsters: Please don’t submit extensive excerpts from articles that have been posted behind a subscription firewall, or are otherwise under copyright protection.

Caveat: Articles in the news feed are posted “as is”. Gates of Vienna cannot vouch for the authenticity or accuracy of the contents of any individual item posted here. I check each entry to make sure it is relatively interesting, not patently offensive, and at least superficially plausible. The link to the original is included with each item’s title. MSM Silence: Elitists Gather in Swiss Town to Finalize Our Enslavement, “the Great Reset, “ & NWO

Make no mistake, this will be absolute tyranny on a global scale. The mainstream media is silent as the elitists who want power over every human on Earth plan to meet in a Swiss town to discuss “ the Great Reset,” a push to a one-world currency — one in which they have ultimate control.

The plan is to make sure a “ post-COVID” world is built the way they want it. Slavery and totalitarian control. If you haven’ t figured out now that the system was put there to protect them, not you, line up for the Bill Gates sponsored vaccine. Things are going to get much uglier, and quick. The objective of this meeting is the “ rebuilding” of the world’ s economic and social system in order to make it more “ sustainable.”

It sounds good, right? But, by more sustainable, they mean more enslaveable.

“Nothing will ever be the same again.” It was the mantra that we heard in many countries at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. It came with a warning that a “new normal” would replace the existing order. Easy travel, interpersonal relations, large gatherings, even things like shaking hands would have to give way to long-term social distancing, drastic rules, and surveillance. But these changes on the personal level are only a part of the picture. The World Economic Forum, together with Prince Charles of England and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), has launched an initiative revealingly dubbed “The Great Reset,” with the objective of “rebuilding” the world’s economic and social system in order to make it more “sustainable.” — Life Site News

The Great Reset Is Here: Prepare For The NWO & Enslavement

If you cannot be bothered to understand that the best way to protect yourself is to remove yourself from the system of slavery that was already set up, that they are desperately trying to keep you in, then you’ re going to likely get caught up in this mess.

The idea of a “ Great Reset” has received the full support of the United Nations secretary-general, António Guterres, former president of the Socialist International from 1999 to 2005. Is anyone surprised? The reset has been planned for a long time:

Progressive Tax States Lose People, Income to Flat and Zero Income Tax States

Submitted by Ted Dabrowski and John Klingner via Wirepoints.org

Flat and no-income tax states, as a group, are beating out progressive tax states in the contest for people and their incomes, according to the last decade of IRS migration data analyzed by Wirepoints.

The nation’s seventeen flat and no income tax states won a net 1.9 million residents and $120 billion in Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) from progressive tax states during the 2000-2018 period. That’s nearly a 4 percent AGI gain for the flat and no income tax states, based on their 2010 base of $3.3 trillion in AGI. A table with the individual winners and losers over the time period is provided below.

Authors: Antifa Rioters Are the Tech Economy’s College Discards

They are failing because the investor class is pushing them and their college peers out of good jobs to make room for an imported workforce of cheap and compliant visa workers.

This means Antifa people are now going through the same outsourcing pain and poverty that was imposed on the American working class by the elite’s imposition of mass migration and free trade deals with Mexico and China.

Antifas college graduates are being hit hard by the little-mentioned population of roughly 1.3 million visa workers.

The visa workers are imported into the U.S. for a variety of tasks. Many are imported for on-the-job training so they can export their jobs to India, where they can be paid at India’s pay levels. But many also are put into the jobs at the Fortune 500 companies that would otherwise carry many young Antifa people up into middle class prosperity.

CEOs, vice-presidents, hiring managers, and investors want to hire many visa workers because they are compliant and helpless.

They are compliant because they were already powerless in their own Indian or Chinese culture. But they are also impotent because they know they can be easily thrown out of the United States and back to India or China, with a signature from any of their managers and executives.

Their powerlessness means they cannot argue with bosses, unlike American professionals. They cannot quit for different employers, as is the norm Among American graduates. They cannot quit to invent a rival product that grabs market share from their former employers, as millions of American graduates hope to do.

Congress created this powerless and growing workforce at the request of Silicon Valley’s tech companies and the Fortune 500.

Because White People Are Bad

One reason for the mounting ignorance, though, is that the Obama administration stopped reporting the standard breakouts on homicides by race once the Ferguson brouhaha got going, and then the feckless Trump administration failed to pick up the ball.

Still, the 2011 report by the Obama administration’s Bureau of Justice Statistics, Homicide Trends in the United States, 1980—2008, is enlightening:

Blacks were disproportionately represented as both homicide victims and offenders…. The offending rate for blacks (34.4 per 100,000) was almost 8 times higher than the rate for whites (4.5 per 100,000).

From 1980 to 2008, blacks were 7.6 times as likely to be homicide offenders as whites, which, remarkably, is almost as large a ratio as males to females (8.9 times). Comprising only about 13 percent of the U.S. population, African-Americans accounted for 52.5 percent of homicide offenders.

These are shocking statistics, some of the most extraordinary gaps in all the social sciences.

And they might even be understating the true black-white ratio because the federal statistics lump most Hispanics in with whites. Moreover, murderers are tracked down less often in black cities than in white suburbs because, as they say, snitches get stitches: For example, about a dozen witnesses were murdered per year in South Central Los Angeles in the early 2000s.

A 2011 Penn State study estimated the true black-to-white homicide ratio to be 11.7 to 1.

Yet virtually nobody has mentioned this reality in the mainstream media in weeks or perhaps years.

Big Tech Donated to the Wrong “Black Lives Matter”

Big Tech is involved in all sorts of grand gesturing these days, such as removing words like “master,” “whitelist,” “blacklist” and the like from their code and products; this is their way of responding to political and societal upheaval in the US after the death of George Floyd.

But even those who decided to put their money where their mouth is seem to have narrowly avoided putting it in the wrong, or at least, the unintended place, a report suggests.

CNN Compiles List of “Unforgivable” Statues & Place Names, Suggesting They Should be Changed or Removed

CNN has compiled a list of “unforgivable” statues and place names, leading some to accuse the network of inciting the mob to tear them down.

Since the riots in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd, numerous statues and monuments across the country have been defaced and torn down.

In one case, a statue fell on top of a protester in Portsmouth, Virginia, leaving him in a coma and in Albuquerque yesterday, a mob tearing down a statue turned on and attacked an armed man, leading to a protester being shot as the man tried to defend himself from a vicious attack.

Do Black Feelings Matter Too Much?

The narrative has been mangled far beyond any resemblance to reality. They have diligently sculpted a rock-hard Social Gospel that preemptively rules out every possible explanation for black failure besides “racism.”

We hear that blacks built this country. I didn’t realize you were able to build the world’s sole superpower merely by picking cotton. If that’s the case, one is forced to wonder why they aren’t creating any cotton-pickin’ superpowers in sub-Saharan Africa.

We hear about the nine or so annual killings of unarmed black people by police, but never about the 5,000-8,000 annual black-on-black murders.

We hear about how blacks are supposedly “kept down” here, but never about the fact that on average, black Americans live 15 years longer than black people in Africa and make $15,000 more per year.

We hear about how the system exploits blacks. Funny, but all the stats I’ve seen suggest that they take far more from the public till than they contribute to it. Over half of black households pay no taxes at all, so exactly who’s the exploiter here?

Google Bans Two Websites From Its Ad Platform Over Protest Articles

Google has banned two far-right websites from its advertising platform after research revealed the tech giant was profiting from articles pushing unsubstantiated claims about the Black Lives Matter protests.

The two sites, ZeroHedge and The Federalist, will no longer be able to generate revenue from any advertisements served by Google Ads.

A Google spokesperson said in an email that it took action after determining the websites violated its policies on content related to race.

Google Demonetizes Zero Hedge

As you may have read on NBC, Google has decided to suspend ad hosting on the “far-right” Zero Hedge (which apparently can be anything from “batshit insane Austrian school blog” to Russian propaganda or framed in any other way that serves the agenda of those who disagree with our views — which apparently these days is a lot of people) along with The Federalist, a decision that would have a materially adverse impact for both websites. The reason presented to us for this decision is far more mundane than what has been disclosed by NBC: we are currently appealing it, and expect to remedy it.

That said, we were surprised by the framing of the suspension by the NBC article, which disturbingly appears to be another attempt at activist targeting of inconvenient media outlets, especially since the core argument presented by the NBC employee is different than what Google actually has said. In fact, half the NBC article just happens to be dead wrong.

It is also notable, the two articles that are referenced in the NBC article — which in turn is based on a complaint by some self-appointed arbiter of free speech, the UK-based liberal Center for Countering Digital Hate — were not ours, but were contributor op-eds by third parties (here and here) one of which is from 2016. Do we now live in a time when ad platforms will suspend, say, the New York Times for publishing highly controversial Op-Eds?

Google Threatens to Strip Revenue From the Federalist After NBC News Complaint

Amid the coronavirus, there were many examples of mainstream media outlets getting content from independent and alternative media competitors taken down by flagging their content to the Big Tech platforms for alleged violations of their coronavirus misinformation policies.

Now these mainstream media outlets are starting to go after independent and alternative media over Black Lives Matter content.

NBC News journalist Adele-Momoko Fraser initially claimed (archive link) in an article that independent news outlets Zero Hedge and The Federalist had been banned from Google’s advertising platform after the NBC News Verification Unit had notified Google about research conducted by the pressure group Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) which accused these sites of “profiting from articles pushing unsubstantiated claims about Black Lives Matter protests.”

Harvard Professor: “Defunding the Police is Not a Solution and Could Cost Thousands of Black Lives”

A Harvard university Professor has urged that defunding the police would cause more loss of life, citing figures showing that there are “450 excess homicides per year” when police are not able to do their jobs proficiently.

“Defunding the police is not a solution and could cost thousands of black lives,” professor Roland Fryer wrote in an email to the College Fix.

Fryer has recently authored a research paper titled “Policing the Police: The Impact of “Pattern-or-Practice Investigations on Crime,” noting that police are less present when ‘viral incidents’ occur, meaning crime, including homicides increase… a lot.

Illinois Republican Party Sues Dem Governor Pritzker Over Right to Assemble During Coronavirus Lockdowns

The Illinois Republican Party, along with other GOP groups, has filed a lawsuit over its right to assemble as a political group during the coronavirus pandemic, one week after Gov. J.B. Pritzker marched alongside protesters to fight police brutality.

The suit, filed in U.S. District Court late Monday, claimed that while religious groups and protesters are allowed to convene in groups greater than 10 under coronavirus lockdown, political groups share the same protections under the Constitution — yet are not allowed to gather.

After multiple lawsuits, Pritzker on May 29 lifted a ban on in-person worship, listing it as an “essential activity” but strongly recommended services continue to be held remotely.

NBC News Under Fire for Apparently Pushing Google to Remove Conservative Sites From Ad Platform

NBC News is facing intense backlash for apparently influencing Google to punish two conservative news sites over what was deemed offensive coverage of the George Floydprotests.

Google later pushed back, claiming that The Federalist “was never demonetized,” and adding, “We worked with them to address issues on their site related to the comments section.”

NBC, Leftist Org Convince Google to Financially Blacklist Conservative News Sites

Following its publication, NBC amended its article to state that the Federalist has been “warned” by Google of imminent blacklisting from its Google Ads service due to “policy violations” in its comments section. ZeroHedge is also working with Google the resolve the blacklisting.

On Vote-by-Mail

Never before in the history of the country has the election process system been under greater attack. In the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic, heavily funded organizations and lawyers with fat trust deposits have been seeking to undo how we elect the President, Congress and state officials.

Like the rioters in the streets of American cities, they are taking advantage of a crisis to try to fundamentally transform American institutions.

They are seeking to throw out state laws designed to protect the integrity of American elections.

Planned “Second Wave” Is Coming: The Terrorism Committed by Government Isn’t Over Yet

We should all be preparing now for the planned “ second wave” of COVID-19. The mainstream media is already doing its due diligence by panicking the general public. Because the riots and looting took too much attention off the coronavirus hoax, the powers that shouldn’ t be are going to make sure they get you living in fear again, and vaccinated.

In the push to get everyone vaccinated, there could be a very real attack, in which people actually do die of something that the government will spray in the air, says Richie From Boston. It’ s possible, and really, at this point, I’ d put nothing past the government and you probably shouldn’ t either. Wake up, and do it quickly because humanity depends on it. Governments are doing exactly what the elitists are telling them to do and your interests don’ t matter to them one small bit. They could very well commit both economic terrorism and bioterrorism against all of us in order to usher in the New World Order.

Richie From Boston talks about the manipulation of the weather and the spraying that can be used to really sicken people to make them fearful:

Some say the vaccine won’ t be mandatory because Donald Trump said so. But for all intents and purposes, regardless of what Trump says, it will be. If you refuse the vaccine, you won’ t be allowed to go to school, work, or travel on an airplane, and those will be the decisions of companies doing the bidding of the elitists. If you take the vaccine, you’ ll be traced, tracked, and surveilled for the rest of your life while having DNA-altering nanobots manipulating your body without you knowing it, into a compliant little slave. Which option do you want? Neither seem like good options, to be honest.

The Bonfire of the Insanities

The George Floyd Riots, such as Monday night’s Sack of Manhattan, are the culmination of the Great Awokening that got going with Trayvon Martin in 2012 and came to monopolize the media’s mindset with Ferguson in 2014. What we are seeing played out in the unfortunate shoe and handbag stores of our big cities is the logic of mainstream anti-racism in action.

As Frank DeScushin observed:

It’s bizarre to see people Tweet “A riot is the voice of the unheard!” when the black voice on race issues is the one promoted by The Establishment (media, academia, politicians & corporations) with all those same parties censoring or demonizing any dissent.

White Americans have made vast efforts over the past sixty years to exterminate all manifestations of white racism. And yet, each new generation of black youths still likes to loot shoe stores.

It’s a puzzlement.

Third Lawsuit Seeking to Block Lee Statue’s Removal Filed by Monument Avenue Residents

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — A group of six Monument Avenue residents filed a lawsuit Monday seeking to halt Gov. Ralph Northam’s order to remove the Robert E. Lee statue, arguing that its removal would result in the end of “favorable tax treatment and reduction in property values” as the district would lose its National Historic Landmark designation.

The plaintiffs in the suit, longtime Monument Avenue resident Helen Marie Taylor and five other property owners who wished to remain anonymous, claim the governor’s order violates the state’s constitution and a legislative resolution adopted by the Virginia General Assembly in 1889.

“Attempts by Defendants to remove the Lee statue would damage, destroy or significantly alter the statue in violation of the terms of the deed conveying the statue, the 1889 legislative provision, and the laws of the Commonwealth,” the lawsuit states.

Those Pesky Statistics

To the citizens of most Western countries, the numbers of people killed by the American police are rather surprising, to say the least, but so are the numbers of police killed.

“I do not think that the rioters are much interested in philosophical subtleties.”

Roughly speaking, a policeman in the United States is about fifty times more likely to be killed than to kill, and this is without taking into consideration that the majority of the killings by the police are at least prima facie justified by self-defense or the interruption or prevention of a serious crime. Let us exclude only half of those killings on these grounds (probably a gross underestimate): This means that a policeman is 100 times more likely to be killed than to kill.

Let us also suppose that the police are killed by black and white in the same proportion as blacks and whites commit homicide in general (again, a generous, that is to say a conservative, assumption). This means that a policeman is about fifteen times more likely to be killed by a black man than to kill a black man, and again this is not to take into account the fact that many of the police killings would be at least prima facie justified.

A black man is about thirty times more likely to be killed by another black man than to be killed by a policeman (and some of the police are themselves black, of course). A white man is only fifteen times more likely to be killed by someone of any race than to be killed by a policeman. Are the police biased against whites?

These figures should not be taken as being accurate to the seventeenth decimal point. They are worked out from official figures but taken from somewhat different dates, varying by a year or two; but this would not alter their rough or fundamental accuracy.

Of course, most people do not bother to look up the statistics, but in some inchoate way they know them to be true. This is shown by the Rev. Jesse Jackson’s famous (or infamous) but honest remark, which he may now regret having made, that when walking down a dark street at night he felt relief that the man walking behind him was white and not black.

Twitter is an Echo Chamber of Insanity and it’s Impacting Academia

In the big picture of tech and social media companies, measured by the number of users and monetary power, Twitter is a small player. But the platform nonetheless has disproportionate influence among some classes, such as journalists and politicians, and, it appears, academia as well.

The real-world importance of Twitter is that while it’s often an insane echo chamber for journalists, what happens in that chamber strongly reverberates into media and politics and thus gets disseminated to billions of people who don’t necessarily use Twitter.

A recent study by the Thoracic Surgery Social Media Network (TSSMN), found that tweeting original scientific papers resulted in four times more citations compared to those that were not tweeted.

Understanding the Far-Left Threat

Former New York City mayor and President Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani said Monday that he has personally seen enough evidence now to conclude that “there was a guiding hand in some of this.”

“Definitely there’s organization behind this,” he said on Sebastian Gorka’s America First podcast.

Giuliani told Gorka that one of the benefits of designating Antifa a terrorist group is that the government now has the ability to investigate the group’s finances.

“It will help a lot in being able to tie together some of the loose ends that could tell you how well organized this is,” he said. “It could answer the Soros question, too, because you get into their books. How much money does he donate and how closely associated is he with them?”

A good question. Meanwhile, the FBI put out a statement on Tuesday saying that the Bureau is seeking information and digital media depicting individuals inciting violence during the protests/riots.

Law enforcement officials say that as the terrorism threat has impacted more of the country, police agencies have redirected their focus on foreign terror groups and terror acts that those foreign terror groups seek to inspire in the United States. As a result, the breadth of understanding of these anti-fascist and anarchist groups is not robust. Let us hope that that changes soon, for clearly these groups are quite serious and dangerous. They have, to be sure, no positive or constructive vision for America; only an agenda fueled by resentment, and founded on lies.

Weaponization of Food: Starvation to Manufacture Compliance

The elites are doing their best to cut the food supply chains in order to weaponized food. At the end of the day, if they succeed, you will be trading your freedom for a small morsel of food.

The L.A. Times reported that “ coronavirus outbreaks” at 60 food processing plants will be the cause of the supply chains breaking, and an inability to get food to store shelves. Prepare for a food shortage, as it looks like they will attempt to use hunger and food as a weapon in this game for your mind.

It’s a grim reality that’s playing out across the country as COVID-19 spreads beyond the meat processing plants that have captured the national spotlight. At least 60 food-processing facilities outside the meatpacking industry have seen outbreaks, with more than 1,000 workers diagnosed with the virus, according to a new study from Environmental Working Group. — L.A. Another Highly-Touted Hydroxychloroquine Study Turns Out to be a Joke

Authored by ‘Bonchie’ via RedState.com

Last week, Lancet had to retract the most highly-touted hydroxychloroquine study to date, which was used as evidence for entire countries to change their stance on the drug. The study, which was obviously flawed on its face (I commented well before it was exposed that the groupings made no sense), turned out to be produced by a shell company, with unverified data gathered by non-scientists.

But when that study flopped, another study was immediately latched onto. It’s called the RECOVERY trials and was done in the UK. Supposedly, this study was the counter to the fake study published by Lancet.

It was the proof that “well yeah, that other study was bad, but this one got the same results.”

Well, not so much.

Edmund Fordham wrote a piece on what is an emerging controversy, in which it appears the lead of the RECOVERY trial took hydroxychloroquine for another drug, resulting in a high death rate.

Can We Say No?

Last year, Barrett attended a public meeting in his hometown of Borrisokane, Tipperary. The meeting was ostensibly a chance for the locals to be heard regarding the government’s surprise plans to house Third World “refugees” in the town. Many at the meeting felt ambushed by the scheme. More than that, they felt helpless, as if nothing they could say would deter the government’s resettlement machinations. As if their opinions just didn’t matter.

Over audible objections from those running the meeting, Barrett rose to speak. He pointed out that every time such “refugee” programs had been forced upon Irish communities, an immediate increase in violent crime, vandalism, and intimidation of the locals followed. “I love my country and I want my country to be an Irish Ireland and I am not ashamed of that and I shouldn’t have to be ashamed of that,” Barrett proclaimed.

“I have one question to ask: Can the people of Borrisokane say no?”

Can we say no? There, nailed it. Is the destruction of the West predetermined? Are we just going through the motions of letting “the people” decide, just pretending that the citizens, the voters, the taxpayers can say no to what the powers that be have already decided must occur? Either we can say no or we can’t. And if we can’t, just admit it; drop the illusion that anything we say, or anything we do, can stop the civilizational decline.

Can we say no to the Third Worlding of the West? Generally, in Western Europe, you can’t. If you say no a little too stridently, you get arrested as a hate criminal, banned from speaking publicly, and banished from political organizing and activity.

But what about here in the U.S.? Can we say no to our demographic decline? Well, we certainly tried in 2016. Candidate Trump ran on the most unambiguous platform (with the most specific pledges) in recent American history. No Michael Dukakis “uncertainty of purpose” there! Trump voters knew what they were voting for. So, we said no to open borders and lawless aliens, only to be told by the Democrats, most Republicans, the media, and Trump’s own inner circle that “yes” was the only allowable answer.

There Are at Least 36 Intelligent Alien Civilizations in Our Galaxy, Say Scientists

It’s the oldest and the greatest cosmic question of all: is there anybody out there?

For years all we’ve had is the Drake Equation to help us understand the question, but no indication of an answer. Now a group of scientists at the University of Nottingham think they’ve come up with a new “cosmic evolution”-based calculation—or, rather, an estimation—that suggests that there are likely to be at least 36 ongoing intelligent civilizations in our Milky Way galaxy.

The Milky Way, home to our Solar System, is estimated to have 100 billion to 400 billion stars, and roughly one exoplanet per star in our galaxy.

Published today in The Astrophysical Journal, the new paper examines the likely number of Communicating Extra-Terrestrial Intelligent (CETI) civilizations in the Milky Way. It assumes that intelligent life comes to occur on other planets much as it has done on our own planet.

Islam: The Iranian Version

by Amil Imani

Before the Islamic invasion of 1979, Iranian people had a different view of Islam. The kind of Islamic version people believed did not exist beyond their own imagination. To them, that was the real Islam. Kind, perfect and peaceful. With the return of the Ayatollah Khomeini in 1979, ‘real’ Islam was reintroduced to the populace and it turned Iran and Iranians’ fictitious beliefs into a nightmare.

At least 20 Indian soldiers were killed in a clash with Chinese forces in a disputed Himalayan border area, Indian officials say.

The Indian army initially said three of its soldiers had been killed, adding that both sides suffered casualties.

But later on Tuesday, officials said a number of critically injured soldiers had died of their wounds.

Chinese Propaganda Mocks the US Over Police Brutality, But in China Criticism of Police is Censored in Real-Time

With the US being hit by the George Floyd protests, Chinese internet users are also seeking inspiration and are pushing back against the Chinese Communist Party for suppressing dissent. While the CCP was allegedly looking to profit from the Black Lives Matter protests by launching a propaganda war against the US, Chinese citizens’ criticism against their home government became quite a spectacle.

Recently, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokeswoman Hua Chunying tweeted, “I can’t breathe” — the last words uttered by George Floyd before he passed away.

SARS-CoV-2 Origin — Deadliest Cover-Up in Human History

Chinese authorities have finally admitted SARS-CoV-2 did not originate in a Wuhan wet market,1 but that’s about as far as we’ve gotten to getting an official answer to the question about where the virus came from. Many valid questions are being raised, and have continued to be raised about the possibility that it is in fact manmade.

Evidence indicating it is an engineered virus include the Antiviral Research paper2 “The Spike Glycoprotein of the New Coronavirus 2019-nCoV Contains a Furin-Like Cleavage Site Absent in CoV of the Same Clade,” published in April 2020, and “Furin, a Potential Therapeutic Target for COVID-19,”3,4 posted in February 2020.

According to these papers, SARS-CoV-2 is the only coronavirus with a furin cleavage site. Not even distant relatives of SARS-CoV-2 have it, and the coronaviruses that do have it share only 40% of SARS-CoV-2’s genome.5,6 Attempts have, however, been made to introduce a furin cleavage site onto the spike of a coronavirus, and successfully so.7

While neither of these papers makes any claims about how this gain-of-function might have come about, others have pointed out that this novel function couldn’t possibly have arisen naturally. I summarized Chris Martenson’s8 and Yuri Deigin’s9 reviews of these findings in “The Smoking Gun Proving SARS-CoV-2 Is an Engineered Virus.”

Others have pointed out that viruses can easily be manipulated and altered using low-tech methods that do not leave telltale signs of genetic insertion or interference. One such method is known as “passaging.” As reported by Independent Science News:10

[…]

According to The Telegraph,14,15 Dearlove “believes the coronavirus pandemic ‘started as an accident’ when the virus escaped from a laboratory in China.” If proven true, it could have significant economic ramifications for China. It may even be called on to pay reparations for the economic devastation caused by the pandemic around the world.

That said, it’s important to recognize that the issue of SARS-CoV-2’s origin is not a racial, cultural or political one. The real issue here is whether or not dangerous gain-of-function research is wise and whether it should be allowed to continue — anywhere.

College Presidents Are Reminded That, Actually, “Hate Speech” Is Free Speech

The president of the Nicholls State University seems to lack a proper understanding of the US Constitution’s First Amendment, a fundamental piece of legislation when it comes to free speech protections.

If he were president of a university of Europe, Jay Clune’s statement in the June 8 letter, that “free speech does not protect hate speech” would have highly likely been a valid point, because so-called “hate speech” is criminalized in most European countries. (And yes, it’s then up to whoever’s in charge to define what constitutes “hate speech.”) (We’ll rant about that another time.) But things work differently in the US.

Piracy of Gone With the Wind, Fawlty Towers, Little Britain Surges by Over 10x After Being Censored

Last week, cancel culture took hold of the streaming world and many movies and TV shows were suddenly pulled from streaming services after complaints about racial insensitivities.

The epic historical romance Gone with the Wind being pulled from HBO Max, an episode of the classic British comedy series Fawlty Towers titled The Germans being pulled from the UKTV catch-up service, and British comedy series Little Britain being removed from BBC iPlayer and Netflixwere some of the many properties that were caught up in this cancel culture purge.

Fans of Gone with the Wind responded by buying physical copies of the movie and pushing it to the top of the Amazon best-sellers chart in the “movies and TV” category.

And now, new data collected by TorrentFreak is showing that all three of these properties also experienced a surge in pirate downloads after they were pulled from these streaming services.

  1. Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., announced the death of her 67-year-old father on Monday due to complications from COVID-19.

Wasn’t he the one witness tying her to the immigration fraud?

  2. Few years ago in London i was and i was informed that there were not again on tv series of Dick Emery because he is not politically correct.I immediatly bought all the series of the comedians i used to watch and not only enjoyed but they helped my english and i watch them now.My kids have also downloaded “the last of the summer wine”and “keeping up appereances”just in case they
think them as politically incorrect.they remind me my happy student years in your country when Englend was something else. Now all of us we are living in hell.Dante wrote “Nessun maggior dolore che ricordarsi del tempo felice nella miseria”.WAke up Europe Please.

  3. Chechen orcs vs Maghrebian orcs in the heart of France…

I vote for both sides to lose. Allow them to freely slaughter one another then send in the army to dispatch those still alive. Likely have to send in the army with LePen at their heels to discourage them from waving a white flag at the first orc they see.

  4. Re The Chechen vs Maghrebian story, it seems this will be the future, closeknit tribes or clans with the appropriate religion and group psychology will rule over areas and the white indigenous savages will serve them. Like the samurai/peasant “harmony” in Japan. And the “Son of Heavens” – initially elected by online vote, later – hereditary – will sit in the Palace far far away…

      • This is all very funny. Chechens come from the iodine-deficient region and therefore they cannot calculate their actions one or two steps forward. Macron is about to expel them from France. They will be returned to tyrant Kadyrov, who will begin to hang them by the scrotum. But after their performance in Dijon, there are hardly anyone who wants to protect them.

  5. I noticed about 12 hours ago, vlad tepes blog was down, or at least inaccessible from Oz.

  6. [Somewhat off-topic, but I understand that off-topic is sort-of okay in the News Feed]

Does anyone know what happened to Vlad’s blog:
    https://vladtepesblog.com/
    ?

    The WHOIS entry shows:
    Name Server: NS11.CLOUDNS.NET
    Name Server: NS12.CLOUDNS.NET
    Name Server: NS13.CLOUDNS.NET
    Name Server: NS14.CLOUDNS.NET

and at least NS11 resolves to 192.124.249.15

but if I try it from my local nameserver (or on two other servers that are not connected):

    % nslookup
    > set type=ns
    > vladtepesblog.com
    Server: 10.222.51.1
    Address: 10.222.51.1#53

    ** server can’t find vladtepesblog.com: NXDOMAIN

If I force “hosts” on my computer to resolve to 192.124.249.15, then I get a page which says “Sucuri Website Firewall – Not Configured”.

My conclusion is that vladtepesblog.com has somehow been taken down, either voluntarily or otherwise.

    • Found this:
“For anyone looking for vladtepesblog.com we can be found for now at vladtepesblog.net The whole story will come out soon.”
