EC Sees Hungary Economy Contracting 7 PC in 2020

The European Commission forecasts a 7 percent slump in Hungary’s economy this year followed by a 6 percent rebound in 2021.

The novel coronavirus pandemic hit Hungary after years of above-average growth, the EC’S spring report released on Wednesday notes.

Although the virus has spread only to a limited extent in Hungary, this year’s economic performance would depend on domestic economic policy decisions, the EC said.

Poland’s Economy Set to be Least Affected in EU by COVID-19 Pandemic, Says Report

The Polish economy is set to be the least affected in the EU by the Covid-19 pandemic, despite the virus bringing an end to around three decades of uninterrupted economic growth in Poland.

According to an economic forecast by the European Commission published on May 6, the Polish economy will fall by 4.25 percent in 2020 as consumer confidence weakens, unemployment rises and the country battles falling demand for exports.

But the Commission added that Poland should bounce back in 2021 with growth predicted to rise by 4 percent.

Poland’s GDP Will Drop by 4.5 Pct in 2020, EU Forecasts

The Polish economy will shrink by 4.3 percent in 2020 and will expand by 4.1 percent in 2021, as the HICP inflation declines to 2.5 percent in 2020 and edges up to 2.8 percent in 2021, the European Commission (EC), the EU’s executive arm, said on Wednesday.

“The COVID-19 pandemic is set to end nearly three decades of uninterrupted growth in Poland. GDP is projected to decline in 2020 by about 4.25 percent due to a disruption in economic activity caused by the lockdown measures and an unprecedented fall in external demand. In 2021, GDP should bounce back by 4 percent driven by a strong recovery in household consumption. Nonetheless, GDP is unlikely to return to 2019 levels over the forecast horizon,” the EC said in its Spring 2020 Economic Forecast.

Another Left-Wing Attempt to Shut Down Free Speech

Chad Richison is a billionaire who lives in Oklahoma. A liberal, he often weighs in on political issues. On March 22, he wrote an open letter to Oklahoma’s Governor, Kevin Stitt, calling on him to impose a harsh shutdown order. Richison criticized Governor Stitt and called for “bold action,” saying “We can’t afford not to act any longer, Governor.”

Richison laid out a lengthy “plan of action” that included commandeering all medical supplies intended for “non-essential” procedures, mandating “newly established uniform standards” for “critical portions of the supply chain,” banning all non-essential air travel, and closing various categories of businesses. Richison’s “open letter” received wide publicity in the Oklahoma news media, which was his intention.

The Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs, run by my friend Jonathan Small, is a highly-respected conservative policy organization. OCPA has clashed with Richison several times in the past.

Coronavirus: Constitution Abuse

Shutting down America has caused many to ask who suspended the Bill of Rights. The re-opening of this country would do well to include close attention to righting wrongs that may — deliberately or inadvertently — have been inflicted on the US Constitution.

At the end of Chief Justice William Rehnquist’s life, one of his great concerns was the government’s use of crisis power at the expense of civil liberties, a concern he shared with law students during his last summer constitutional survey course in Cambridge, England.

Facebook’s New Censorship Czar is Anti-Trump Leftist Who Made Barron a Punch Line

One of Facebook’s new “content oversight board” members who will decide what information is censored by the social media giant is Pamela Karlan, a leftist who infamously made Barron Trump the punch line of a joke.

“The independent board, which will be able to overturn Facebook and its CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s decisions on whether individual pieces of content should be allowed on Facebook and Instagram, is a high-profile response to criticism of how the social media company handles problematic content,” reports Channel News Asia.

One of the new members is none other than Pamela S. Karlan, an American professor of law at Stanford Law School, who made her name for herself for an anti-Trump rant during the impeachment hearings.

Project Veritas Exposes ‘CBS This Morning’ Crew Faking a Scene at a Michigan COVID Testing Site

James O’Keefe, the founder of Project Veritas (PV), released a video which had been recorded at a drive-up coronavirus testing site located at the Cherry Medical Center in Grand Rapids, MI. A medical center insider worked with PV on the story.

A member of the ‘CBS Good Morning’ crew saw only one or two cars in line at the site and according to the insider, pulled medical professionals from the center and asked them to get into their cars and pretend to be patients waiting to get tested. They wanted to make sure to show a long line of cars.

O’Keefe, as always, made a video of the story. At times, he spoke to the “insider” and used a voice-changing device to maintain this man’s identity. O’Keefe told viewers, “Our insider witnessed the whole thing and came to Project Veritas, because he knew we would protect him. The insider told us that medical personnel were taken away from treating patients and making the line longer for actual patients wait for the COVID-19 test.”

Ventilators May Increase Risk of Death From COVID-19

In recent weeks, several doctors and published papers have noted that COVID-19 patients who are put on ventilators have an increased risk of death. April 9, 2020, Business Insider reported that 80% of COVID-19 patients in New York City who are placed on ventilators die, causing some doctors to question their use.

According to The Associated Press, “Similar reports have emerged from China and the United Kingdom. One U.K. report put the figure at 66%. A very small study in Wuhan … said 86% died.”…

Dr. Cameron Kyle-Sidell, whose video is featured at the top of this article, has noted their patients’ symptoms have more in common with altitude sickness than pneumonia. Similarly, a recent paper by Drs. Luciano Gattinone and John Marini describes two different types of COVID-19 presentations, which they refer to as Type L and Type H.

While one benefits from mechanical ventilation, the other does not. Dr. Roger Seheult discusses this paper, as well as the comparison of COVID-19 to high altitude pulmonary edema or HAPE, in the MedCram video above.

In the final analysis, it may turn out that ventilators are inappropriate for a majority of patients, and doctors at UChicago Medicine report “truly remarkable” results using high-flow nasal cannulas in lieu of ventilators. As noted in a press release:

BERLIN (AP/CBS) — The Bundesliga can resume playing this month, ending its two-month suspension caused by the coronavirus pandemic. It will be Europe’s first major football league to resume playing amid the outbreak.

German Chancellor Angela Merkel announced a loosening of a range of containment measures after meeting with the country’s 16 state governors. Pressure to relax the rules had been growing as the rate of daily infections in the country has dropped.

The earliest the league can resume is May 15, with a May 22 start date also under consideration. Soccer in the top two divisions will resume without spectators, as there is a ban on mass gatherings in Germany until Aug. 31. There will also be a range of other conditions designed to prevent another outbreak including player testing. Teams will also have to spend time in quarantine before games can restart.

The boys would soon regret the move, however, because Nilsson knew how to fight back. Her father and grandfather had taught her how to box at a young age.

Ms Patel is involved in negotiations with her French counterpart Christophe Castaner and has stressed that the threat of being returned no matter where they were caught, will stop the migrants making the dangerous journey.

1.4 Million More People Expected to Die From Tuberculosis Worldwide Due to COVID-19 Lockdowns

Nearly one and a half million people worldwide are expected to die from tuberculosisdue to the coronavirus shutdowns, a stark reminder of the exceptionally high costs of the global lockdowns instituted by governments to fight the disease.

Executive Director of the Stop TB Partnership Lucica Ditiu said that the TB cases that are going undiagnosed and untreated during the lockdowns will lead to around 1.4 million deaths, bringing the global fight against tuberculosis “back to 2013 figures.”

Those figures are based on a lockdown lasting around three months, suggesting that if it were to go on further — as many public officials have claimed it should — the death toll could be even higher.

Denman and Berry were arrested Monday along with six Venezuelans following the launch of a haphazard coup organized by ex-Green Beret Jordan Goudreau. It came after eight people were killed and two more arrested on Sunday also linked with the failed plot.

Facebook Creates an Independent Body That Will Decide What Its Users See

Facebook has finally announced the formation of a new body that will moderate content, an independent body that users and the same company can use to decide on publications that affect freedom of expression and human rights. Mark Zuckerberg, founder of the company, announced in 2018 his intention to create an entity outside the social network to moderate the most controversial content. The result is a council currently made up of 20 personalities from around the world that will select and weigh on the global limits of freedom of expression. Their decisions will be transparent and binding for the network, provided they do not break local laws. The contents that can be moderated will be from Facebook and Instagram. The council will not have, at least for now, capacity on WhatsApp, another company platform.

Pope Benedict ‘Doing Absolute Best to Sabotage Francis’ Amid Gay Marriage-Antichrist Row

POPE BENEDICT has been accused of “doing his absolute best to sabotage Francis” after his shocking comments linking gay marriage to the Antichrist were exposed in a bombshell new book.

The former pope, who stood down in a controversial move in 2013, claimed that people who oppose homosexual unions in today’s world are “excommunicated from society”. He said that it was “the same thing with abortion and creating human life in the laboratory”, adding that it was natural for those who oppose it to be concerned about the “spiritual power of the Antichrist”. The comments were taken from an authorised biography of the ex-head of the Vatican, called ‘Benedict XVI — A Life’.

      • Is this a result of the legal case started recently by a Regretter? They’ve caved pretty quickly. I wonder if the case will now stop as it would have shown what lunatics the medical profession have become?. More concerned with ideology than the welfare of their patients.

  1. Benedict never said those who oppose homosexual union are excommunicated from society.

  2. “‘It Felt Like Barbed Wire’: Woman Claims Body Modifier Used a ‘Branding Iron’ Instrument on Her Genitals During ‘Illegal Procedure — Then Gave Her the Burned Off Flesh in a Coffee Jar’”
But did she undergo the procedure on her own acord or was she forced?
If she wanted it, it’s her own fault it went south…

  3. The more I see and read of Priti Patel, the more I like her. She seems to be one of the few in the Boris Johnson administration to have a real spine. I wish her godspeed and the best of luck.

“I was leaving the bank, and two of the prisoners attacked me. He managed to hit one, and the second grabbed the knife. I was with a friend, he helped me.

Fortunately, we did not suffer, everything is in order. It becomes terrible to live, because already in broad daylight two huge men are being attacked. And all this under cameras, in a crowded place. Imagine if in my place there was a grandmother, grandfather or a person who could not resist, ”Spiridonov quotes“ R-Sport ”.

  6. Voice of Europe is usually good, but they can sensationalize only my opinion, at least in the case below.

“He wants the the camps up to EU standards”
    >”he’s saying we have to take in all the Orcs as part of mama Merkels Islamization!!!!!!!!!!!”
Look, I understand Europe is insane and it’s hard to not read between the lines, but putting a failed motion by a state Green Party together with a statement that was point-blank about maintaining the camps on the island is not great reporting.

    • I imagine once the EU markets are opened to the United States all kinds of innovation and professionalism will be brought to bear. Especially when it comes to arms and weaponry in general. Full cooperation of a desperate and grateful local population.

    • A major war seems way over due. Open borders has got to be crazy. Women trying to figure men out of the picture is not going to to be as easy as peeing up a rope.
