How the Federal Reserve Unilaterally, De-Facto Amended the US Constitution

For four decades, the Fed has reduced the cost of undertaking deficit spending (via its direct intervention in the supply of Treasury debt), taking short term rates to zero. Not surprisingly, Congress has seen the nearly “free money” and spent with reckless abandon without runaway interest payments. What I will detail is that with each Federal Reserve dictated and implemented interest rate cut, the Congress took the “free-er money” and spent ever more…regardless the lack of economic return (as measured by GDP). Debt (particularly unproductive debt) has progressively grown disproportionately faster than the economy (the tax base from which to repay and/or service the debt).

Speaking of the disproportionate debt…below, the quarterly change (on a year over year basis) of GDP, federal debt, and the Federal Reserve balance sheet from 1970 through 2019. The “market” discipline of higher interest costs (dependent on free market purchases of US Treasury debt) constrained the growth of debt until 2000. But the near zero rates in the wake of ‘00 and then the zero rates since ‘08 have encouraged spending far beyond the proportionate economy or tax base to repay that debt.

But when the same chart is extended to show 2020, the current blow-out of federal debt and the Federal Reserve asset purchases versus unprecedented collapse in GDP dwarfs everything that came before.

Italy Faces Worst Recession Since WWII Due to Coronavirus

Facing its deepest recession since World War II and with business confidence collapsing, the coronavirus pandemic is hitting Italy’s economy hard.

Business confidence in the eurozone’s third largest economy in May plummeted to its lowest level since official statistics institute ISTAT started the index in March 2005.

The figure is “alarming”, said small business federation Confesercenti.

“The health and economic emergency has swept businesses away, especially in shops, services and tourism,” it said.

“Far-Left or Anarchists” — Intelligence Reports ID Rioting Protesters; Mostly Locals Arrested

Update (1705ET): Despite claims by Democratic officials from Minneapolis that “white supremacists” or “foreign actors” are responsible for the violent riots seen across the nation, USAToday reports that Adam Leggat, a former British Army counterterrorism officer who now works as a security consultant specializing in crowd management for the Densus Group, said intelligence reports from his colleagues indicate most of the hard-core protesters in Minneapolis are far-left or anarchists, and that far-right groups have not yet made a significant appearance.

“The real hard-core guys, this is their job: They’re involved in this struggle, they need protests on the street to give them cover to move in.”

Additionally, Leggat said looting is typically done by locals — usually people with no criminal record who just get caught up in the moment. And despite claims otherwise by officials, records show most arrested are locals…

Celebrities Blasted for Donating to Protester Bail Fund as Rioting, Violence Escalate

Celebrities are coming under fire for donating to a bail fund aimed at springing protesters even as police struggle to stop the escalating violence in Minneapolis and other U.S. cities.

Steve Carell, Janelle Monae, Seth Rogen, Ben Schwartz and Halsey were among those donating to the Minnesota Freedom Fund, which is raising money to bail out protesters flooding the streets over George Floyd, a black man who died Monday while in police custody.

Those contributions were called into question on social media by those asking why celebrities would want to support the mobs throwing rocks, breaking windows, looting stores, and setting fire to businesses and other buildings.

China’s Presence at US Colleges Runs Much Deeper Than Confucius Institutes

China has been able to establish a presence on college campuses through Confucius Institutes. These institutes are labeled as educational centers that promote the learning of the Chinese language and culture. U.S. intelligence agencies, however, say they are nothing more than propaganda arms of the Chinese Communist Party.

In recent months, a considerable number of Confucius Institutes around the country have shuttered, but more than 70 centers are still in operation. But did the Confucius Institutes that have closed in recent months really cease to exist? Campus Reform conducted an investigation to identify other U.S. college entities that could still be secretly working for China.

Both U.S. Senators and the head of the FBI have voiced concerns about Confucius Institutes in congressional hearings. It has been discovered through reports as well that China has funded these organizations with more than $150 million in just one decade with the hopes of limiting criticism of China. Another entity on dozens of U.S. college campuses are Chinese Students and Scholars Associations, whose stated mission is nearly identical to that of Confucius Institutes: to celebrate and promote Chinese culture.

Chinese Cheating Rampant in U.S. College Applications, And in Classrooms

Fake transcripts and essays, falsified letters of recommendation and test scores, paid consultants, and fake passports and IDs. These are just some of the many methods that Chinese nationals have reportedly used to gain acceptance into U.S. colleges and universities.

What once might have been a few isolated incidents has now turned into a vast, international money-making industry.

Hiu Kit David Chong, an admissions official at the University of Southern California (USC), pleaded guilty in April to wire fraud in and helping Chinese students defraud their college applications. According to the Department of Justice, Chong admitted to making $40,000 from clients over the years by providing “false college transcripts with inflated grades,” “fraudulent personal statements,” and “phony letters of recommendation” for the applications of his Chinese clients.

Facebook Resists Media Pressure to Fact-Check Trump’s Statements

Other social media giants are coming under the spotlight after Twitter has finally been pushed to implement its own (critics say, dubious) rules — not to actually remove “problematic” speech by government officials — but to add “fact-checking” labels to it, effectively undermining and invalidating whatever the message may be.

The Betrayal and the Programming Behind COVID 19 — A UK Perspective, Part 2

One of the very first flags to be raised in relation to Covid-19, should have been why the UK Government was demonstrating reliance on the predictions of the possible mortality rate forecasted by Professor Neil Ferguson of Imperial College? Professor Ferguson, who before his resignation had sat on the governments Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies, already had a long history of exaggerated predictions in relation to the possible outcomes of an infectious disease.

  • In 2002, he predicted up to 50,000 people would die from Mad Cow Disease from beef. (177 died)
  • In 2005, he predicted up to 200 million people could die from Bird flu (282 people died worldwide)
  • In 2009, he predicted up to 65,000 UK deaths from Swine flu (457 died).

However, it was in 2001, that the Imperial College team were responsible, due to their forecasts, for the culling of 6 million cattle, pigs and sheep which cost the UK an estimated £10 billion. It is an issue which was very controversial at the time with farmers asking if the slaughter of all livestock was necessary. A full report on the Foot and Mouth disease of 2001 can be viewed in the footnotes.

Whilst some people believe that Professor Ferguson has possibly saved lives through his recommendations on the Foot and Mouth disease and our present day Covid-19, there is no scientific data that can prove lives have been saved. The question remains on why our government will still repeat that it is relying on ‘scientific data’ for its actions?

Buddhist Rock Carvings Vandalised by Islamists in Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan Flag Painted on Ancient Artwork

In a shocking incident, the ancient Buddhist rock carvings in the Chilas area of Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK)’s Gilgit-Baltistan has been desecrated by Islamists, who painted Pakistani flag and slogans on the rock-cut art.

According to the reports, the incident came to light when the locals of Gilgit-Baltistan posted images on social media platforms. The Islamists had vandalised the rock carvings by writing Islamic slogans on the rock-art that belonged to 800 AD.

The Buddhist residents, who found the paintings to be fresh, said that the vandalism by the Islamists was in retaliation to the recent protests against the Diamer Bhasha dam project, a joint Pakistan-China project, which will reportedly destroy this archaeological site.

Indian Media Reports Up to 10,000 Chinese Soldiers Have ‘Invaded’ Border Territory

After over the weekend international reports said that multiple hundreds, or up to 1,000 Chinese troops have crossed into India following prior small-scale skirmishes weeks ago involving dozens of Indian and Chinese soldiers near a remote but strategically important mountain pass near Tibet, Indian media is now reporting that up to five to ten thousand PLA troops have now moved into Ladakh’s disputed Galwan river area.

Some Indian media reports have suggested multiple thousands, while a new Business Standard India report now claims up to 10,000 Chinese soldiers inside India occupying the Galwan Valley while digging into fortified positions.

Though such figures remain unconfirmed and very likely inflated, it’s clear that Indian authorities are watching with growing alarm what they view as an ‘invasion’ of their sovereign territory.

Why Was Wuhan Lab Locked Down When Outbreak Began?

Fueling suspicions that SARS-CoV-2 escaped from the lab in Wuhan — and that it began far earlier than admitted — is an analysis of commercial telemetry (i.e., cellphone) data showing a significant and unusual reduction in device activity in and around the Wuhan Institute of Virology’s (WIV) National Biosafety Laboratory during October 2019.

According to the open source telemetry report, “Beginning on October 11, there was a substantial decrease in activity,” and “the last time a device is active prior to October 11 is October 6.”

Between October 14 and October 19, there was no device activity in the area around the laboratory at all. “During this time, it is believed that roadblocks were put in place to prevent traffic from coming near the facility,” the report states. What’s more, between October 7 and October 24, there was no activity within the facility itself.

While not concrete proof of a biohazard leak, the absence of cellphone traffic in and around the laboratory in October 2019 suggests the lab may have been shut down for a period, and the roads around it blocked off. The question is why?…

In a May 16, 2020, article, Fabio Carisio, founder and editor-in-chief of the Italian Christian news site, GospaNews, reviewed, in chronological order, experiments involving chimeric superviruses conducted at WIV and the governments that funded them.

As described in one 2017 study published in PLOS Pathogens, “Cell entry studies demonstrated that three newly identified SARSr-CoVs with different S protein sequences are all able to use human ACE2 as the receptor, further exhibiting the close relationship between strains in this cave and SARS-CoV.”

The goal of these experiments has been to identify what determines a virus’ ability to enter into a human cell. The extension of these experiments is to infect living animals with these chimeric viruses to evaluate the factors that determine disease symptoms and spread.

One of the authors of that 2017 PLOS Pathogens study was Dr. Shi Zheng-Li, director of WIV, also known as the “bat woman,” as she’s been China’s leading researcher of bat coronaviruses. Zheng-Li and WIV have had a long-standing collaboration with Peter Daszak, Ph.D., and the EcoHealth Alliance Inc. in New York City, which Daszak is also the president of.

    • Odd thing about demos, Mason, certainly in a city the size of London; I live not much more than a stone’s throw from the US Embassy, and noticed more helicopters overhead than usual yesterday; anyway my beloved and I got a bus to London Bridge (further east, ie downriver) and walked east to Tower Bridge; lots of people out enjoying the sunshine, all quite normal apart from most businesses being closed. Only on the way back did I spot a traffic info sign warning of “multiple” (?) demonstrations in central London (the demo began in Trafalgar Square).

Not making any political point; just a bit of social observation.

    • Trump has to tread carefully in this minefield.

If he does nothing other than allow the Pentagon to activate contingency plans to deal with rioting orcs and maintains a low profile otherwise, then the majority of the blame for the bad behavior will fall upon city mayors and governors of the states involved, which are almost exclusively Democrat dominated. At some point, even blacks will be forced to acknowledge that the bad behavior bears no relationship to legitimate protests over police violence against minorities. Trump is doing the right thing by calling for federal prosecution of the agents involved but otherwise maintaining a low profile to not antagonize African Americans and make the situation worse. Gaining a sizeable percentage of the African American vote will be crucial to ensuring that Biden or whomever the Democrats replace him with goes down in flames in the election.

If the decision was mine, I would just machine gun the rioters and looters and be done with it. Protesting is fine and they have legitimate grievances but there is absolutely no excuse for ritoting and looting, and I would deputize anyone who wishes to to shoot those who are engaging in such activities.

  2. When I watch a video of protests from the United States, I think that with us the native Russians would never come out in defense of migrants or Muslims. And only to applaud the police.

    • I imagine these kids and stunted adult sized anchors will be absolutely lawnmower on the front end.

    • Black LIves (don’t really) matter to blacks. Look at black run cities and Democrat States. RAMPANT CRIME AND CORRUPTION. Blacks shoot each other over a slice of cake or a lost tv remote control. They should be designated as a terrorist group as well. All the riot and destruction is no longer about Floyd murder. It is just wanton terrorism.

  3. It has to be gathering in Western Europe as well. Waiting for Cloud 9 to settle. God knows what will set it off. We know that chopping heads off natives and mass shouting of same doesn’t create much of a response. Yesterday’s history and tomorrow is a mystery?

  4. Their Black and Asian community would always find something to be furious about just to gain an unfair upper hand and to “dominate” us with more nonsense.
Their nonwhite world spread viruses, terrorism, riots, wars, etc and yet they expect the White world to respect them!
