Chicago Chicken Shop Charges 26% “COVID-19 Fee”, Claiming Rapid Food Inflation

Harold’s Chicken on Broadway in Chicago unleashed a wave of public backlash on social media last weekend after it slapped customers with a COVID-19 surcharge of 26%.

Restaurant manager Jacquelyn Santana told CBS Chicago that food suppliers raised wholesale chicken prices by 26% on Saturday “due to the COVID pandemic.” She said a case of chicken wings that generally cost $60, jumped overnight to $90, forcing the wing shop to pass on the costs.

“We’re trying to keep other employees employed, including myself. We are just opening up so we really need to be able to makes ends meet,” Santana said.

She said the surcharge was dropped on Sunday after people bashed her store on social media for raising prices.

While the coronavirus crisis had a negative impact on most economic sectors, market-based services and, to a lesser extent, industry remained the engines of growth, KSH said.

Trump Gets Tough on Chinese Stocks in Coronavirus Standoff With Beijing

The Trump administration is exploring ways to crack down on fraud by Chinese companies listed on U.S. exchanges as tension increases between the two countries over the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hundreds of Chinese firms not subject to the same investor protections as U.S. firms have listed on American stock exchanges over the past decade, resulting in billions of dollars of investor losses, administration officials say.

“We have learned that Chinese companies are not transparent,” Larry Kudlow, director of the National Economic Council, told FOX Business’ Maria Bartiromo on Tuesday. “A lot of these companies, by the way, have already had scandals and cost investors a lot of money.”

Phone Calls Between Biden and Ukraine’s Poroshenko Leaked; Details $1 Billion “Quid Pro Quo” To Fire Burisma Prosecutor

Leaked phone calls between Joe Biden and former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko explicitly detail the quid-pro-quo arrangement to fire former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Victor Shokin — who Poroshenko admits did nothing wrong — in exchange for $1 billion in US loan guarantees (which Biden openly bragged about in January, 2018).

The calls were leaked by Ukrainian MP Andrii Derkach, who says the recordings of “voices similar to Poroshenko and Biden” were given to him by investigative journalists who claim Poroshenko made them.

Shokin was notably investigating Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company that hired Biden’s son, Hunter, to sit on its board. Shokin had opened a case against Burisma’s founder, Mykola Zlochevsky, who granted Burisma permits to drill for oil and gas in Ukraine while he was Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources. In January, 2019, Shokin stated in a deposition that there were five criminal cases against Zlochevesky, including money laundering, corruption, illegal funds transfers, and profiteering through shell corporations while he was a sitting minister.

Coronavirus: French Court Orders Ban on Worship to End

France’s administrative court has ruled that the government must lift a blanket ban on meetings at places of worship within eight days.

The ban was put in place as part of measures to curb the spread of coronavirus.

More than 28,000 people have died in France from Covid-19.

Currently, all gatherings in places of worship are banned except for funerals, which are limited to 20 people.

However the judge said that as private gatherings of up to 10 people are now allowed, the ban was “disproportionate to the objective of preserving public health”…

UK: Govt Forced to Publish Report on Ethnicity of Rape Gangs After Pressure From Public, MPs

The British government has announced that it will finally publish a report on the “characteristics” of offenders in grooming gangs, following pressure from voters and MPs after accusations the Home Office tried to bury the report from the public under the guise of providing a “safe space” for lawmakers to consider policy.

In July 2018, former Home Secretary Sajid Javid had commissioned a report into the ethnic and cultural backgrounds of grooming gang rapists who have abused victims on an “industrial” scale in cities like Rotherham, Rochdale, and Telford since the 1970s. The phenomenon has been reported on multiple occasions to involve the dynamic of Muslim, Pakistani-heritage rapists targeting mostly white, working-class underage girls.

Russia Tells Google to Censor Article Questioning COVID-19 Death Toll

Sometimes it’s media. Sometimes it’s activists. But now it’s Russian government regulators that want articles scrubbed from the internet for being “disinformation.”

India: Standing Up to China in the Post-Coronavirus World

As coronavirus leaves behind a trail of human suffering and economic devastation, nations across the world have begun asking critical questions about the global pandemic. Countries are enquiring into Communist China’s handling of the pandemic, which first appeared late last year in the central Chinese city of Wuhan.

As early as January 14, China had used the World Health Organization (WHO), a United Nations agency, to spread disinformation about the human-to-human transmissibility of Covid-19, a remark that led US National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien later to call the WHO a “tool of Chinese propaganda.”

The Smoking Gun Proving SARS-Cov-2 is an Engineered Virus

As noted by GM Watch,3 “Bolstering the lab escape hypothesis in the eyes of the media is the news that the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) has updated its assessment of the origin of the COVID-19 virus SARS-CoV-2 to reflect that it may have been accidentally released from a lab in Wuhan due to ‘unsafe laboratory practices.’“

Unfortunately, mainstream media journalists are by and large ignoring the long history of accidental releases of dangerous pathogens from BSL3 and 4 laboratories. Journalist Sam Husseini discusses this history in a May 5, 2020 article in Independent Science News.4

Mainstream media journalists clearly are also not asking enough questions, or the right questions, about the origins of SARS-CoV-2. In his May 4, 2020, video update (above), Chris Martenson,5 who has a Ph.D. in pathology, carefully details the science behind his assertion that SARS-CoV-2 must have undergone laboratory manipulation. The evidence he lays out is close to conclusive, and really would be front-page news if unbiased journalism still existed.
