European Summit Flops: No Agreement Reached, Four “Frugal” EU Countries Oppose Grants

Update: Earlier today, when previewing today’s EU Summit, we concluded that just one word summarizes best what to expect from today’s EU summit: disappointment.

Sure enough, we were right because moments ago Reuters reported that today’s talks have ended with no agreement on the recovery package as four “frugal” EU countries oppose grants, with the “Northern Camp” demanding that recovery aid be linked to the next EU long-term budget, an outcome that will lead to a furious reaction from Italy — and potentially another near collapse of the Eurozone — as the heavily-indebted Italy was hoping to get a blank check from Brussels due to the historic recession that has hit Italy due to the coronavirus. It no longer appears that that will happen:

Will All College Campuses Reopen in the Fall?

Continuing online classes, suspending large lectures and delaying the semester are among the contingency plans colleges and universities are making in case the coronavirus outbreak keeps some or all campuses closed in fall 2020, The Boston Globe reports.

Administrators are also concerned about the size of freshmen enrollment and whether returning students might take a year off or even drop out, The Globe reported.

Surveys, for example, have found that interest in enrolling in colleges in Boston and New York has declined since those cities became COVID-19 hotspots and that parents facing financial strain are also considering keeping students closer to home, according to The Globe.

“Colleges have to assume that enrolling populations will be smaller than what they were,” Kristin R. Tichenor, a special consultant with Maguire Associates and senior adviser to the president at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, told The Globe.

Some 58% of higher ed respondents are considering or have already decided to continue online learning in fall 2020, according to an American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers survey of 262 institutions.

Italy: Alitalia Being Nationalised for Now Then We’ll See — Minister

Newco at start of June, fleet will be 90-plus says Patuanelli

(ANSA) — Rome, April 23 — Alitalia will “initially” be 100% state owned but “then we will have to see”, Transport Minister Stefano Patuanelli said Thursday.

He said the troubled former national flag carrier will be put into a newco starting up at the beginning of June amid the coronavirus emergency, and its fleet would not be limited but have “over 90 planes”.

Bids for the chronically lossmaking Italian airline are currently being considered.

Alitalia has been the subject of successive bailouts and the European Commission is looking into its latest bridge loan.

Patuanelli added that it would be “difficult” to keep redundancies down to zero but jobs would be “safeguarded”.

He said the government would keep injecting cash into the airline until the end of May, despite its constant losses.

23 Incidents of Hindus Being Lynched, Brutally Murdered, That Have Failed to Inspire Any Outrage From the ‘Liberal’ Ecosystem

Mainstream media by no means provides a balanced or an exhaustive enough reportage to be used for a fair, pan-India analysis. It has been seen that many media houses cherrypick cases in which the victim-perpetrator equation suits their narratives. It is essentially tailor-made to show Muslims as overwhelmingly the victims and Hindus overwhelmingly as the perpetrators, creating a false perception among minorities that they are under attack from ‘fascist’ Hindus with active cooperation from the state machinery. The harsh reality is that the Hindus have been an overwhelming target of hate crimes in India. Hindus have been murdered brutally and lynched for speaking up, in riots that were specifically anti-Hindu and driven by Islamists and some, just for being Hindus.

The media often shies away from talking about these cases and the ones who do are attacked by the same ecosystem. In fact, even when the perpetrators are not Muslims, somehow, Hindu victims fail to inspire the outrage that Muslim victims do.

Here are 27 incidents where Hindus were brutally murdered, but they failed to inspire any outrage from the mainstream media and the ‘liberal’ establishment.

Wuhan Lab ‘Did Absolutely Crazy Things’ To Manipulate Coronavirus Into Infecting Humans, Russian Microbiologist Claims

THE coronavirus is the result of Wuhan scientists doing “absolutely crazy things” in their laboratory, a leading Russian microbiologist has claimed.

World renowned expert Professor Petr Chumakov claimed their aim was to study the pathogenicity of the virus and not “with malicious intent” to deliberately create a man-made killer.

Professor Chumakov, chief researcher at the Engelhardt Institute of Molecular Biology in Moscow, said: “In China, scientists at the Wuhan Laboratory have been actively involved in the development of various coronavirus variants for over ten years.

“Moreover, they did this, supposedly not with the aim of creating pathogenic variants, but to study their pathogenicity.

“They did absolutely crazy things, in my opinion.

Swedish Official Says Migrants Fail Because Swedes Are Prejudiced

The reason migrants who come to Sweden aren’t more self-sufficient is because Swedes are prejudiced against them. At least, this is what Fadi Barakat, the Director of the City of Malmö’s Office for Industry and Trade, is saying.

A recent study that was conducted by the Swedish Entrepreneurship Forum showed that it takes an average of 12-13 years after their arrival before even 50% of migrants in Sweden have achieved basic self-sufficiency, as previously reported by Voice of Europe. For the most part, migrants live on government funding. The study showed that migrants from Africa and the Middle East do the most poorly.

  1. “Mr Mazyek said that many mosques in Germany were facing financial difficulties due to the lockdown measures and that many were on the verge of bankruptcy as they rely on individual donations from worshippers.”

They should ask their muslim brothers for funds or, failing that, they should go bust and go back to where they came from. They are not wanted in Europe.

  2. “Czech Republic: Closed Borders Making Life Hard for Illegal Drug Producers”
Don’t worry, our liberal opposition has forced our government to open our borders starting today…
A judge in Prague ruled that the ban was against the law. Prague is ruled by the Pirate party, aka Antifa. That should make it clear who’s interests are at stake here.

  3. “There is a Spanish saying that is very clear about this. It goes: ‘God always forgives; we humans sometimes forgive, and sometimes not; the earth never forgives,’“ he warned, departing from his prepared text. “The earth does not forgive: if we have despoiled the earth, its response will be very ugly.”
If he’s putting Earth, as an entity, above God, shouldn’t he be stripped of his position as Pope?

    • Frank is not a Christian. He has never been a christian. He is just a Jesuit politician who is evil to the core.

  4. What a nice feel-good news story from the Morian orc-hole on Lesbos.

A shame the ending wasn’t happier though. Had the unknown orc-hunter loaded the shotgun with 00 buck instead of birdshot, those two orclings could have been dispatched to an early meeting with Allah and blissful eternal rape of their endowment of virgins.

    • Just when you thought we finally had a really good feel good ending, the 3rd worlders were only wounded! Dang! Nabit!

    • If he had killed the bastard he would have a few years in jail.
All the governments we had so far are protecting the bastards and punish the Christian natives.

      • If he gets caught he will still have a few years in jail for attempted pest control. Better to do the time for actually succeeding in squashing a few roaches than for merely trying to.

  5. Greece: Migrants on Lesbos Shot After Violating Lockdown Measures

They must shot at the moment they land on the island,so nobody will try again to enter illegally.
We are fed up with them .The future looks very bleak.

    • Thankfully there are still real men and patriots on Lesbos; hopefully they will have better luck hunting next time.

There should have been some consequences for the orcs that chopped down the 5000 olive trees because they were angry.

      Make Greece Greek again!

      • Hunting time is approaching.
As for our politicians there is a Greek saying “ἡ τιμωρία ἔρχεται κουτσαίνοντας”(the punishment comes by limping).

    • The future looks darned bright to me! Especially when you open fire on 3rd worlders. Simples!

  6. Re: “Romanian farm workers ‘not tested’ for Covid-19… after entering UK.”

As reported, this is misleading. Migrant agricultural workers from Romania (and Bulgaria) are now quarantined for two weeks after arrival.

They have been a regular feature for many years, and live in accommodation provided by their employers, close to the farms where they work; this, combined with the disparity in currency values, makes it worth their while to come here and send remittances home. About 70% are returnees, so little time or expenditure is needed to train them (some of the equipment used is hazardous to the inexperienced).

One might argue that unemployed Brits could do the job, but the salaries offered would be worth much less in Birmingham or Coventry than Bucharest or Sofia, and such large Midlands cities are hardly within commuting distance of the farms where the work is, even if they had transport; and even if they could find affordable accommodation (in increasingly short supply in the UK) close to the work, it would not be worth their while to move themselves and their families for a few weeks’ seasonal employment.

    • Some language hygiene:

“salaries offered”? how mellifluously deceptive, offer is such a polite word, e.g. may i offer you some tea?

and a salary is the pay of a white collar worker and not an agricultural worker doing exploitative piece work. such a person gets a wage, in theory anyway.

in fact, “nominal wages withheld” is more accurate

      Lewycka’s novel show the economics:

  8. On the Trudeau thing: First, he “donated” tons of PPE to China. China took the donation, then responded by banning any further sales of PPE to Canada. That ban was eventually lifted, so Trudeau promptly ordered more PPE to replace what he gave away. He basically wanted to pay twice for the PPE he originally bought from China. The Chinese took his money but wouldn’t send the product. So Justin sent two cargo planes to China to pick up the PPE. The Chinese let those planes sit at the airport for a few days, then kicked them out of the country, still empty-handed. Finally, a third-party broker managed to get a load of PPE from China, and now look: the whole shipment is defective.

Justin Trudeau is a buffoon, and the communist Chinks treat him accordingly.

We in the US need to learn a lesson from all of China’s behavior and cut off all trade and all immigration with their ugly mistake of a nation. They have no place doing business with any self-respecting westerners. Cut them off and watch their ugly, parasitic country wither away. And cut off Canada, too, until they can elect a PM who’s worth a damn. I don’t see how any Canadian citizen can look himself in the mirror these days with that milquetoast fop running the place.
