Harvard Announces They Won’t Take Coronavirus Funds After All

Update (4/22/2020): After all after coming under pressure from President Trump, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, Harvard has announced that it won’t take coronavirus stimulus funds after all, a reversal from their prior position that they would use the money set aside in the coronavirus stimulus for “direct assistance to students.”

“There has been confusion in recent days about funds allocated to Harvard as part of the CARES act,” reads a statement,” which notes that the funds were automatically allocated to them, and that they “did not apply for this support, nor has it requested, received or accessed these funds.”

First Known U.S. Coronavirus Death Was Weeks Earlier Than Previously Thought

America’s first known coronavirus death occurred on February 6 in California’s Santa Clara County, according to information released Tuesday by the county medical examiner — weeks earlier than previously thought.

A February 29 death in Washington state was previously believed to be the nation’s initial COVID-19 fatality.

The county also reported that a February 17 death, previously believed to be unrelated, was due to coronavirus. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found the virus in tissue samples from both individuals. Both people died at their homes at a time when testing for the virus was limited and only performed on people with specific symptoms and travel history.

Photographer Behind Viral Photos of “Health Workers” Blocking Lockdown Protestors Walks Back Original Claims

On Sunday April 19, freelance photographer Alyson McClaran and her boyfriend Marc Zenn posted photos and videos of what they claimed to be “nurses” and “health care workers” counter-protesting lockdown protestors in Denver, Colorado.

These photos went viral on social media and were quickly picked up by many mainstream media outlets which repeated the claims that the man and woman in scrubs were health workers.

After the photos were posted, some social media users raised doubts about whether the individuals were actually health workers because:

  • They didn’t provide any credentials
  • They weren’t wearing the masks properly
  • They had their faces covered by sunglasses and masks
  • They declined to provide their names or place of employment to reporters

And now, the photographer behind these viral photos has admitted that she doesn’t actually know whether the individuals were health care workers as she had originally claimed.

“I believe that they are, but regardless of who they are, it’s more about the message they were sending,” McClaran told BuzzFeed News.

Republican Congressman Accuses Joe Biden of “Simping” For China

Some are lamenting the death of the “simp” meme after it was used by a Republican Congressman to criticize Joe Biden’s fealty towards China.

Although its original meaning was “suckers idolizing mediocre pussy, “Simp” is normally used as an insult directed at men who overly praise or lust after e-girls on the Internet.

The growth of OnlyFans and other platforms where girls as young as 18 are encouraged to sell explicit photos and videos to thirsty men led to the popularization of the ‘Simp’ meme at the end of last year into early 2020.

Skynet is Near — Google Scientists Create Artificial Intelligence That Evolves on Its Own

Authored by Jake Anderson via TheMindUnleashed.com

One of the biggest global players in artificial intelligence (AI) is Google and their high-tech Brain division has been pushing the envelope for years.

Now scientists working for their AutoML project have a new paper in which they claim to be developing algorithms that can evolve on their own without human input. Even more stunning is their claim that they can induce “mutations” into new generations of algorithms, which mimics principles of Darwinian evolution, namely “survival of the fittest.”

Survey: 77% of Colleges Use Secret Social Media Blacklist to Censor the Public, In Violation of First Amendment

PHILADELPHIA, April 22, 2020 — The majority of top public colleges and universities use a blacklist of secret words, created by Facebook, to automatically censor comments on university social media pages, according to a new survey from the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education. As campuses sit empty and much of student life moves online, this censorship has an amplified importance.

Colleges also compile custom lists collectively banning more than 1,800 words and phrases: from profanities to posts referencing matters of local and national concern, campus controversies, criticism of colleges’ corporate partners or sports teams, and even the weather. The findings, gleaned from public records from nearly 200 top institutions, show that public universities — bound by the First Amendment — are impermissibly censoring public dialogue.

Coronavirus: Belgian Carnage

It is too soon to make a final assessment on the management of COVID-19 by the countries of the world, but one thing is sure: Belgium is in the middle of a great carnage.

It all began in 2015, when the government of Prime Minister Charles Michel (today’s European Council president) decided to destroy Belgium’s entire “strategic stock” of 63 million protective face-masks, including the precious FFP2 type — 1,200 pallets carefully stored and guarded by the army in the Belgrade Barracks, in Namur. Because they were “out of date,” said Minister of Health Maggie De Block, who is still on the job today. “Not at all,” said the main union of the Belgian army, “these masks were incinerated… to ‘make room’ for housing refugees.” In 2015, Belgium and Europe were overwhelmed by migrants at the invitation of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and the laws of the EU and the European Convention on Human Rights made it effectively impossible to reject them.

He also said M5S heavyweight Alessandro Di Battista was “always misinterpreted and his opinion in precious” after recent apparent misunderstandings.

Tucker: Trump’s Immigration “Ban” Still Allows Corporations to Import Cheap Foreign Labor

Tucker Carlson warned on his show last night that President Trump’s supposed immigration “ban” is nothing of the kind because it still allows corporations to import cheap foreign labor, failing to protect more than 22 million Americans who have just filed for unemployment.

As we highlighted yesterday, the draft executive order contains broad exemptions for “refugees,” “essential workers” and a number of other categories of people.

That’s a far cry from temporarily suspending all immigration to the United States, as Trump’s initial tweet suggested.

UK: The New Battle of Hastings: With Their Camps in France Stricken by Coronavirus, Boatloads of Desperate Migrants Have Been Landing Around the Genteel Sussex Resort…

…And some have even been chased barefoot by officers

Freddie Lucas is just 16, but he is already a seasoned fisherman on the Latney Star, a two-man boat he crews with his ‘skipper’, and one of about 25 berthed on the shingle on Hastings seafront.

The weather-worn hull of his little vessel sits in the shadow of the tall, tarred, wooden net huts that line the foreshore in front of the Old Town, an area beloved by the trendy middle classes who have grown sick of London.

In its Victorian heyday, the seaside resort was one of the most fashionable in the country. It was the setting for the TV drama Foyle’s War and, even today, retains in places a certain old-world charm.

It was an unlikely setting for the events that Freddie saw take place on Good Friday.

#EarthDay at 50: None of the Eco-Doomsday Predictions Have Come True

More than three decades before Greta Thunberg was born — the Swedish environmental activist on climate change — more than 20 million Americans participated in the first Earth Day on April 22, 1970.

We now look back at quotes from Earth Day, Then and Now,” by Ronald Bailey of the spectacularly wrong apocalyptic predictions from Earth Day 1970.

Considering the current doomsday predictions scaremonger activists are verbalizing about global warming that will result in the demise of civilization within the next decade, many of those unscientific 1970 predictions are being reincarnated on today’s social and news media outlets.

Many of the same are being regurgitated today, but the best prediction from the first earth day five decades ago, yes 50 years ago, was that the “the pending ice age as earth had been cooling since 1950 and that the temperature would be 11 degrees cooler by the year 2000”.

Why bother? If they don’t catch up with the lessons or miss too many hours, they fail class and eventually the whole school and that’s that. If they balance it out then it doesn’t matter all that much, really.

    • Yeah, not as if they are on track to be rocket scientists or brain surgeons.

Classes on street accounting for drug dealers and pimps, or how to defraud the dhimmis through abuse of public support would be far more useful to the average young muslim buck once they are out of school.

  3. The Pope, in this Catholic’s opinion, seems…well…..er….dumb?

Worse, he promised to retire, right about NOW!

Francis, placating Marxists is no different than placating Satan.

    • Frank works on Satans behalf. He actually thinks that our planet hates us. He pushes lies and propaganda and I am disgusted that people think he is a Christian. He is an evil man.

      • He’s just in way over his head. Bluffing his Jesuit way at this point. God knows what this charact- ter has been up to.

  4. Why We Get Sick And How To Get Well

Dr. Mikael Nordfors talks about how our sick society and sick healthcare system has created a sick medical science which has prevented us from addressing our health issues in a clever and life-affirming manner. He focuses on the core issue, which is our life energy, which is related to our mitochondrial health. He addresses this problem with deuterium depletion, diet, light therapy, ozone, hydrogen therapy, C60, fighting off chronic infections and by living a loving, and meaningful life. This video is the expression of the personal views of Dr. Nordfors and is not intended as medical advice.

  6. Trump Instructs Navy to “Shoot Down and Destroy Any and All Iranian Gunboats” Harassing U.S. Ships.

Apparently the Islamic Republic and their bloody foreign supporters (DNC/EU/China) are intent to draw President Trump into a war hoping to harm his image for the second term elections. Missiles has been launched toward US bases for the last six months and US carriers have been approached by boats. Basically these dirty desertmen are begging for a war and President Trump cannot ignore it forever.

If the war erupts, NYT, CNN and the rest of the clamorous muppets will blow in their horns to design Trump as the warmonger. I would like to ask Americans to heed all the Iranian [sic] military activity and understand who is the real warmonger. President Trump’s attitude and actions against the Islamic Republic is seriously flawed, and foolish, but he is not the warmonger, imo.

    • How exactly does one “shoot down” Iranian gunboats? Unless the Islamic Republic has made a technological leap unknown elsewhere, gunboats don’t fly!

  7. ANZAC Day in Australia and New Zealand.
The same as Memorial Day, and Remembrance Day celebrated in other countries.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
    We will remember them.

At the moment many in NZ are in lock down, so must stay in their “bubble” and not travel.
There is no “dawn services” or other times of service & laying of wreaths.

At 6:00 am, they will stand, possibly at their driveway entrance, to do a “virtual service” as per the radio, the last post, a minutes silence, and raising the flag, then to half mast.
    Concluding with the National Anthem.

Australia will in a couple of hours will also be remembering.

To many that have served, and are serving, thank you.
So we look after each other.
    Lest we forget.
