Gates of Vienna News Feed 3/22/2020

Senator Rand Paul has tested positive for the Wuhan Coronavirus. And Harvey Weinstein has been put in isolation in prison after being diagnosed with the disease. Meanwhile, Italy is using drones to track down people who violate the mandatory lockdown, so that they can be arrested. Also, the number of the confirmed cases of the ChiCom flu in New York State has risen past 15,000, more than in France or South Korea.

In other news… there is no significant news other than the coronavirus.

A Surge of Unemployment Claims is Coming From the COVID-19 Outbreak: A Record 2 Million Plus People Have Filed for Unemployment.

The COVID-19 outbreak has jarred an 11-year bull market into a sudden downturn and what looks to be a recession. What is more startling is that we are now anticipating a record number of unemployment claims hitting the system that even dwarfs what was seen during the Great Depression.

“Please Take This Seriously… it’s Brutal” — COVID-19 Survivors Speak Out

We have warned for weeks about an exponential curve playing out across the US, as it is only a matter of time before hospital systems are overwhelmed with patients.

The mortality rate of COVID-19 in the US is approximately 0.0119%, mostly because the hospital bed and ICU-level treatment capacity remain open, treating the most vulnerable. But when capacity is full, and the sick cannot get ventilators, that is when the mortality rate will skyrocket, currently playing out in Italy.

The Sacramento Bee has piecemealed six COVID-19 survivor interviews that give personal accounts of what it is like to contract the disease. These survivors are from the US and Europe and have a common theme they want to share: “Please take this seriously:”

[Comment: Latest news is that there is a connection between a certain over the counter medication and a massive cytokene body response to the virus — ie the medication seems to accelerate the virus replication. Use bing, duckduckgo to find articles.]

Are You Ready to Have Your Civil Liberties Severely Restricted? Because That is Where This Thing is Headed…

One of the things that sets the United States apart from the rest of the world is that we are supposed to have certain civil liberties guaranteed to us by the U.S. Constitution. Of course, the U.S. Constitution has been absolutely trampled on by many of our leaders for decades, but most Americans still deeply cherish the basic rights which are enshrined in our founding document.

Unfortunately, many of our politicians are convinced that all of those rights can be taken away during a “national emergency”, and these days the bar for declaring a “national emergency” has been set very low. Yes, this coronavirus pandemic is a major threat, and experts are warning that millions of Americans could die. But in the process of fighting this virus, we don’t want to relinquish the freedoms that previous generations of Americans fought so hard to secure for us. As history has demonstrated, once certain freedoms are gone they can be exceedingly difficult to get back. We are now being warned that this pandemic could last 18 months or longer, and losing any of our freedoms for that long is absolutely unthinkable.

Unfortunately, some of our politicians are apparently thinking about the unthinkable.

I would like for you to consider something that California Governor Gavin Newsom just told the media very carefully…

California Gov. Gavin Newsom in a Sunday presser said that martial law was not necessary to combat coronavirus in his state.

“If you want to establish a framework of martial law, which is ultimate authority and enforcement, we have the capacity to do that, but we are not feeling at this moment that is a necessity,” Newsom said.

At this moment?

Does that mean that later on, it may become “a necessity”?

And why would he even dare to use the term “martial law” anyway?

Less than 200 Americans have died during this pandemic so far. Yes, the numbers are rising rapidly, but no politician in their right mind should be allowing the term “martial law” to escape from their lips.

That is just going to freak everyone out and cause even more panic.

At New York Prison, Harvey Weinstein Put in Isolation After Contracting Virus

ALBANY — Oscar-winning movie producer Harvey Weinstein, now one of New York’s most notorious prison inmates after being sentenced for sexual assault, has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus, according to officials connected to the state prison system.

Weinstein, who turned 68 last Thursday is being isolated at Wende Correctional Facility in Western New York, officials told CNHI Sunday.

He is one of two Wende inmates who have tested positive, the officials said.

Congressman Warns: “I’m Seeing No Discussions About Limits of State & Federal Power”

Not everyone in government is doing the coronavirus Chicken Little dance. United States House of Representatives member Thomas Massie (R-KY), who also is an Advisory Board member for the Ron Paul Institute, has been pretty much saying “hold on there guys” to fellow politicians who are rushing to disrespect the liberty of Americans in the name of countering coronavirus.

In a new video interview with host Duke Pesta at The New American, Massie strongly cautions against efforts to increase government power, and to restrict individuals’ exercise of liberty, in response to the virus du jour. Massie’s position contrasts with that of other politicians in Washington, DC. Among them, Massie declares in the interview, “there are almost no discussions about the limits of state and federal power.”

One may hope that once the coronavirus is dealt with the expanded powers of governments will fade away. Not so quick, counters Massie. Politicians have wished for some of these government power expansions for a long time, notes Massie. Many of such powers can be expected to continue on or to reemerge again and again, such as in successive flu seasons or in response to hurricanes.

Detect, Deter and Annihilate: How the Police State Will Deal With a Coronavirus Outbreak

Consider this: the government started playing around with the idea of using zombies as stand-ins for enemy combatants in its training drills right around the time the Army War College issued its 2008 report, warning that an economic crisis in the U.S. could lead to massive civil unrest that would require the military to intervene and restore order.

That same year, it was revealed that the government had amassed more than 8 million names of Americans considered a threat to national security, to be used “by the military in the event of a national catastrophe, a suspension of the Constitution or the imposition of martial law.” The program’s name, Main Core, refers to the fact that it contains “copies of the ‘main core’ or essence of each item of intelligence information on Americans produced by the FBI and the other agencies of the U.S. intelligence community.”

Also in 2008, the Pentagon launched the Minerva Initiative, a $75 million military-driven research project focused on studying social behavior in order to determine how best to cope with mass civil disobedience or uprisings. The Minerva Initiative has funded projects such as “Who Does Not Become a Terrorist, and Why?” which “conflates peaceful activists with ‘supporters of political violence’ who are different from terrorists only in that they do not embark on ‘armed militancy’ themselves.”

In 2009, the Dept. of Homeland Security issued its reports on Rightwing and Leftwing Extremism, in which the terms “extremist” and “terrorist” were used interchangeably to describe citizens they perceived to be disgruntled or anti-government.

Meanwhile, a government campaign was underway to spy on Americans’ mail, email and cell phone communications. News reports indicate that the U.S. Postal Service has handled more than 150,000 requests by federal and state law enforcement agencies to monitor Americans’ mail, in addition to photographing every piece of mail sent through the postal system.

Fast forward a few years more and local police were being transformed into extensions of the military, taught to view members of their community as suspects, trained to shoot first and ask questions later, and equipped with all of the technology and weaponry of a soldier on a battlefield.

The Obama administration then hired a domestic terrorism czar whose job is to focus on anti-government American “extremists” who have been designated a greater threat to America than ISIS or al Qaeda. As part of the government’s so-called war on right-wing extremism, the Obama administration agreed to partner with the United Nations to take part in its Strong Cities Network program, which is training local police agencies across America in how to identify, fight and prevent extremism.

Gov. Greg Abbott Resists Calls for Statewide Shelter-in-Place; Moves to Expand Hospital Capacity

Gov. Greg Abbott took multiple measures Sunday designed to expand hospital staffing and capacity in Texas, but declined to issue a statewide shelter-in-place order — even as calls for such an action increased as the new coronavirus continued to spread across the state.

In an effort to free up hospital beds in anticipation of an influx of patients sick with COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, Abbott ordered health care professionals to postpone “all surgeries that are not medically necessary” and suspended regulations to allow hospitals to treat more than one patient in a room.

How Long Will Americans Tolerate Corona-Madness?

It is disturbing that there is practically zero push back against governors instantaneously overruling our constitutional freedoms. Sadly, many youths are clueless regarding their constitutional freedoms. They grew up in public schools where progressive teachers taught them that the Constitution is an out-dated piece of paper written by racist, sexist, homophobic and Christian dead straight white men.

We have far too many Bernie Bro youths who say, “If the government is going to give me free stuff, I am down with whatever controls government deem necessary.”

A gentleman said this about Democrats/fake news media in an email, “…they are willing to destroy hard working people’s jobs to accomplish their power play.” This guy is spot on correct. This is why I regard Democrats’/fake news medias’ gleeful spread of Corona-madness so loathsome and evil.

Democrats and fake news media are 100% committed to destroying Trump, their greatest Nemesis. Collapsing the U.S. economy and even the loss of American lives is acceptable collateral damage in their quest for power to control every aspect of our lives. They believe Corona is their highly sought after kryptonite to kill We-the-Peoples’ superman president.

Is This a Pandemic or a DemPanic?

Now that we’re in a de facto Martial Law mode—a shutdown of entire industries and small businesses, night time curfews, social isolation, a run on goods, huge sports events cancelled, a “shelter-in-place” mandate in California, releasing prisoners in New York (God forbid these miscreants get a flu!), Broadway gone dark, and a craven media inciting and delighting in the panic they’re causing, it is relevant to ask:

Are the powers-that-be withholding information about a deadly germ-warfare attack on the entire world, started by an aggrieved Chinese Communist nation that was perfectly happy with the Bush1 and Clinton1&2 and Bush1&2 and Obama1&2 regimes that kowtowed to their outrageous demands and unfair trade deals but is now existentially threatened because a Patriot President expects more equitable deals?

Isn’t it both alarmist and immoral, as reported in American Thinker by Andrea Widburg, that the fake-news media have never told the American people that the scary statistics from Italy are the result of Italy’s recent Silk Road Project agreement with China, which resulted in more than 300,000 Chinese workers entering Italy?

Is it just one of those strange coincidences that one of the four richest men in the world, the uber-leftist and population-control fetishist Bill Gates—just weeks after the corona virus hit in January—stepped down from the Microsoft giant he founded in 1975, and just weeks earlier, in December, sponsored a “fictional” simulation of such a corona virus catastrophic event which spread wildly and caused 65 million deaths worldwide? Just asking.

What are the powers-that-be not telling us? The world wide population is nearing eight billion. America has between 330-370 million people (the last 40 mil being illegals). Every day in America, 130 Americans die from an opioid overdose, 102 people from car accidents, and 2,500 from heart attacks. And yet, so far in America, 19,000 people have contracted the corona virus and 256 have died from it. Got that? Over 330-million people; 256 deaths. The swine flu of 10 years ago caused 60.8 million illnesses, and 12,469 deaths.

Or is this yet another hysterical, sky-is-falling anxiety attack by the hand-wringing left designed to convince the American public that either Communist Bernie Sanders or a clinically cognitively-diminished Joe Biden—both inveterate tax-and-spend liberals—would be just the man to help America recover from this traumatic event and revive the stock-market they both revile?

More Than 70 Million Americans Have Been Locked Down So Far, And This is Just the Beginning…

It seems like just yesterday that I was warning that the same sort of lockdowns that were occurring in Italy and China would soon be instituted here, and now it is actually happening. As you will see below, more than 70 million Americans have already been locked down, and more states will likely follow suit in the days ahead. Of course our politicians are attempting to put a positive spin on their directives by referring to them as “shelter-in-place” orders, and they are promising us that they are only “temporary”. But less than 300 Americans have died during this pandemic so far, and many medical experts are warning that this is only the very beginning of this crisis. As long as the number of confirmed cases and the death toll are both rising at an exponential rate, these “shelter-in place” orders will remain in effect, and Americans will become increasingly frustrated about having to remain in their own homes.

On Friday, two of the biggest states in the entire country decided that it was time to shut virtually everything down…

Nikki Haley Breaks With Trump, Resigns From Boeing Over Company Seeking Bailout

[…]

Haley cites her economic libertarian principles as the reason she resigned from the Boeing board, writing that she opposes any and all federal aid to American industries suffering in the midst of crisis.

Boeing is already the second-largest beneficiary of Defense Department contracts. In 2017, for example, Boeing noted that about 79 percent of its profits came from government contracts with the U.S. federal government. Likewise, Boeing saved about $1.1 billion thanks to tax cuts.

Haley writes: …

Haley joined the Boeing Board of Directors last year even as the multinational corporation had a record of outsourcing to foreign countries and offshoring American jobs to foreign workers.

As Breitbart News has chronicled, a report late last year detailed outsourced American software jobs to mostly Indian foreign graduates for $9 an hour. In June 2019, reports stated that Boeing’s recent problems with its 737 Max fleet coincided with executives outsourcing U.S. software jobs to foreign workers through HCL Technologies Ltd. — an India-based outsourcing firm.

Similarly, in 2018, Boeing executives announced their plans to outsource a manufacturing plant to Bengaluru, India, where 3,000 Indian workers would be employed.

Relocating China-Centric Supply Chains to USA Could Cure Virus Woes

[…]

Things took a darker turn when Chinese regime mouthpiece Xinhua in early March threatened that if the Trump administration did not tread more carefully, China could elect to ban pharmaceutical exports to the U.S. China supplies over 90 percent of the antibiotics used in the United States, and some 95 percent of the Ibuprofen the United States needs for anti-inflammatory medication. America is also reliant on China for a range of other pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, including essential respirators and disposable items such as surgical masks and protective equipment. …

Speaking to the Hudson Institute in February, U.S. Senator Rick Scott (R-Fla.) said “it’s because of what communist China’s doing. I think there is going to be more decoupling. I think we’re seeing with the coronavirus or I think people are saying to themselves, ‘Are we too dependent in a country that acts an adversary?’ And I think … that’s going to cause some people to rethink their supply chains.”

Scott posed the question: “‘Do I want to support a regime that … has the human rights record that the communist party has in China?’ I think people are going to say, ‘I’m not going to do that.’“

“I want more jobs in this country. I don’t want people selling more fentanyl in this country. I don’t want China to try to militarize the rest of the world,” said Scott.

“People are going to have to choose.”

Report: Boeing Outsourced American Jobs to $9-an-Hour Foreign Workers

Boeing, the second biggest beneficiary of United States Defense Department government contracts, outsourced American software jobs to foreign graduates for $9 an hour, a new report states.

A report by The Atlantic this week details how Boeing engineers were taken aback in recent years when software jobs in the U.S. were dished out to foreign workers via an Indian outsourcing firm in order to cut costs: …

HCL Technologies Ltd. is one of the largest outsourcers of U.S. jobs — requesting to import more than 2,500 mostly Indian workers this year to take high-paying white-collar jobs from American workers.

Every year, more than 100,000 foreign workers are brought to the U.S. on the H-1B visa and are allowed to stay for up to six years. There are about 650,000 H-1B visa foreign workers in the U.S. at any given moment. Americans are often laid off in the process and forced to train their foreign replacements, as highlighted by Breitbart News.

More than 85,000 Americans annually potentially lose their jobs to foreign labor through the H-1B visa program. Despite claims by the big business lobby, American workers who have been replaced by H-1B foreign workers say there is no shortage of talented and qualified citizens for high-paying, white-collar jobs. …

As Breitbart News reported last year, Boeing executives announced their latest manufacturing plant would be outsourced to Bengaluru, India where 3,000 Indian workers will be employed. This comes as Boeing has profited enormously from Defense Department contracts and the 2017 GOP tax cuts.

In 2017, for example, Boeing noted that about 79 percent of their profits came from government contracts with the U.S. federal government. Likewise, Boeing saved about $1.1 billion following the GOP tax cuts. This massive tax saving comes after years of already paying relatively low taxes to begin with at an average federal tax rate of less than nine percent over ten years.

SEC Uses Coronavirus as Excuse to Abandon Audit Requirement Rules for Small Companies

“Never let a crisis go to waste,” were the famed words of Rahm Emanuel some years back.

And now, it looks like the SEC is abiding by those words. While the rest of the world faces the existential threat of the coronavirus, the Securities and Exchange Commission has spinelessly taken this opportunity to ease audit requirements on smaller companies, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Those pushing for the change say it could allow smaller firms to cut costs and invest in new products and technology. The rule was approved Thursday and applies to companies with less than $700 million in annual revenue. They will no longer need to have an auditor examine their internal controls, a rule that has been in place since the days of Enron and WorldCom.

What could go wrong?

Also, to no one’s surprise, it was also discovered that many people pushing for the rule change had “accounting problems”.

Senate Fails to Move Forward With Coronavirus ‘Phase 3’ Bill Amid Dems’ Opposition

The GOP-controlled Senate on Sunday failed to move forward with considering the $1.4 trillion “Phase Three” stimulus package intended to help businesses and families devastated by the downturn over the coronavirus outbreak, as Senate Majority Leader McConnell, R-Ky., blasted Democrats opposed to the plan.

The vote came while at least five GOP senators were in self-quarantine, including Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., who became the first U.S. senator to announce he tested positive for the virus. Senators were asked to practice social distancing and were given a list of health guidelines to follow while entering the chamber.

The Long-Forgotten Flight That Sent Boeing Off Course

[…]

Some errors you see only with the magnifier of hindsight. Others are visible at the time, in plain sight. “If in fact there’s a reverse takeover, with the McDonnell ethos permeating Boeing, then Boeing is doomed to mediocrity,” the business scholar Jim Collins told me back in 2000. “There’s one thing that made Boeing really great all the way along. They always understood that they were an engineering-driven company, not a financially driven company . If they’re no longer honoring that as their central mission, then over time they’ll just become another company.”

It’s now clear that long before the software lost track of its planes’ true bearings, Boeing lost track of its own.

The Real Bernie Sanders, Part 2

Sanders has been a convert to communism since his youth. He gets mad when he’s called a communist, but the end result of socialism is communism. The proof is the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic were communists. Simple history lesson. He even stresses the point that he is a Democrat socialist, not just a socialist. The only difference is a socialist is a pile of crap and a Democrat socialist is a pile of crap with sprinkles. Sanders hated JFK’s stance on Castro’s takeover of Cuba. Sanders thought Castro was a hero. Here is his story about that: “But I remember, for some reason, being very excited when Fidel Castro made the revolution in Cuba. I was a kid and I remember reading that. And it was just, it seemed right and appropriate the poor people were rising up against rather ugly rich people.

“And I remember, again, very distinctly, a very distinct feeling. I was watching the debate, you remember the famous Nixon-Kennedy debate, that was the first time that presidential candidates actually debated. And I was becoming increasingly interested in politics, didn’t know much, but was interested.

“I remember sitting in the student lounge in a dormitory watching the debate, and at that time — well, I can’t talk about you, but I was very excited and impressed by the Cuban Revolution.

Coronavirus: China’s Propaganda Campaign in Europe

The Chinese government has been fast-tracking shipments of medical aid to Europe, which has become the epicenter of the coronavirus pandemic that first emerged in the Chinese city of Wuhan. The largesse appears to be part of a public relations effort by Chinese President Xi Jinping and his Communist Party to deflect criticism over their responsibility for the deadly outbreak.

Beijing’s campaign as a global benefactor may deliver results in Europe, where pandering political leaders have long been notoriously fearful of antagonizing the European Union’s second-largest trading partner. What remains unclear is if European publics, which are bearing the brunt of the suffering caused by the epidemic, will be as easily willing to overlook the malfeasance of Chinese officials.

Germany: Borders Are Closed Due to the Coronavirus Epidemic — Except for Migrants

If you’re an American, British, French, or Swiss tourist who wants to take in some of the sights in Germany, you’ll have to wait a while before you can go because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) epidemic. But if you’re a migrant from Asia, the Middle East, or Africa who has entered Europe illegally? No problem!

Last week, Germany closed its land borders to all foreign citizens except for those providing essential services coming from France, Luxembourg, and Switzerland in an effort to slow the spread of the coronavirus. However, the German Ministry of the Interior has confirmed that “asylum-seekers” are still welcome in Germany in spite of the ban, according to a report by Junge Freiheit.

Merkel Quarantined After Contact With Doctor Infected by Coronavirus

Germany’s Angela Merkel has gone self-quarantined in her home after contact with a doctor infected by the Wuhan coronavirus.

Steffen Seibert, a spokesman for Merkel’s government — at present a so-called “grand coalition” between her notionally centre-right Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and the left-wing Social Democrats; roughly equivalent to a Tory-Labour or Republican-Democrat joint administration — told reporters that a doctor who administered a pneumococcal vaccine to the Chancellor on Friday had subsequently tested positive for the Chinese virus.

Norway: Roma Leaving the Country Amidst Coronavirus Outbreak

The City of Oslo arranged for a flight to take Roma people who are not Norwegian nationals back to Romania last week. The reason? They’re afraid of getting coronavirus (COVID-19) infections.

Earlier in the week, a group of 63 Roma who are Romanian nationals had taken a bus back to Romania. Another 140 who remained in Oslo tried to return via the same route later, but were unable to get through due to the border closings as a result of the epidemic, reportedNorway’s Dagbladet.

Why Are So Many People in Italy Dying of the Coronavirus?

One of the great mysteries of this coronavirus pandemic has been the widely varying death rates that we have been witnessing all over the globe. For example, the death rate in Italy has been many times higher than the death rate in South Korea, and that has greatly puzzled the experts. Initially I thought that perhaps Italy was dealing with a different strain of the virus than South Korea was, and that may still turn out to be true once we learn more. But another potential factor has emerged that I wanted to share with my readers, because it has to do with something that might be in your medicine cabinet right now. Health authorities in Europe are now warning that ibuprofen may accelerate the multiplication of the virus, and they are instructing everyone not to use it.

On Saturday, the health minister of France sparked headlines all over the globe when he tweeted the following…

“The taking of anti-inflammatories [ibuprofen, cortisone … ] could be a factor in aggravating the infection. In case of fever, take paracetamol. If you are already taking anti-inflammatory drugs, ask your doctor’s advice.”

Unfortunately, many people in Europe have been immediately reaching for ibuprofen once they get the virus because they want something that will help them deal with the pain.

In fact, researchers discovered that most Italians that developed serious complications once they caught the coronavirus had been taking ibuprofen at home…

Caroline Glick: Benny Gantz and the Pyromaniacs in the Cockpit

If Blue and White Party leader MK Benny Gantz forms a minority government with Avigdor Liberman’s Israel Beitenu Party and the Labor-Meretz party, based on the outside support of the Joint Arab List, Gantz’s success will torpedo Israel’s relations with the United States.

This week, a senior official who was present during Gantz’s meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump in late January revealed: “Gantz committed in the Oval Office that, if he became prime minister, he would form a government of people that would support the president’s peace deal.”

The Trump peace plan includes applying Israeli sovereignty to the Jordan Valley and the Israeli communities in Judea and Samaria. Labor-Meretz and the Joint Arab List are both violently opposed to the Trump plan. A Gantz government that includes them will be a government that is hostile to the Trump plan.

The only way for Gantz to keep the promise he made to Trump is to join a coalition government led by Netanyahu with Likud and its right-religious coalition partners. And that is an option that Gantz and his partners in the Blue and White “cockpit” — fellow former IDF chiefs of General Staff Moshe Yaalon and Gadi Ashkenazy and former media star Yair Lapid — will not support.

They are working feverishly to cobble together a radical government with the post-Zionists in Labor-Meretz and the anti-Zionists in the Joint Arab List. All of which will be hard-pressed to work with the Trump administration.

How can Trump or his administration trust a man who flat out lied to the President in the Oval Office?

What can explain Gantz’s irresponsible behavior?…

Islamic ‘Hygiene’ Prevents COVID-19? That’s the Claim Muslims Around the World Are Making

The Islamic world-minus Shia Iran, a point to be addressed anon-is not suffering from COVID-19 the way non-Muslim nations are because Islam naturally makes Muslims “cleaner” than infidels.

Such is the contention Muslims around the world are currently making. Thus, the recent article, “Coronavirus — an Islamic Perspective,” begins as follows:

Allah has blessed us with a religion that is complete and perfect for all times and places. Allah tells us in the Qur’an:

“This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favour upon you and have approved for you Islam as your religion”

We also have in the Prophet (sall Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), the best of examples, as Allah says in the Qur’an:

“Surely there was a good example for you in the Messenger of Allah”

Whatever problem or issue a Muslim is facing [the article goes on to talk about coronavirus], he returns back to Allah and his Messenger for guidance; there is nothing that happens in the life of a Muslim except that his religion has a solution to it.

They were quarantined and monitored, though as we noted last month, in a radical change in how China is underreporting the severity of the disease, asymptomatic cases aren’t included in China’s tally of those infected with the virus.

The Vatican Surrenders to China

“Before anyone had heard of COVID-19, however, there was mounting concern about the intentions and brutality of the Chinese communist regime,” wrote George Weigel, the distinguished US Catholic commentator.

“… about its herding Uighurs into concentration camps; about its assaults on religious communities, including the defacing and demolition of Catholic churches after the accord with the Holy See was signed; about its aggressive military moves in the South China Sea; about its creation of an Orwellian internal security apparatus through facial-recognition technology; about its ranking the Chinese citizenry according to their political reliability (meaning their acquiescence to what the Chinese Communist Party dictates); about its international espionage, often conducted behind the cover of putatively independent technology companies like Huawei; about its relentless digital attacks on Taiwan; and about the global Chinese ‘Belt-and-Road’ initiative, which financially shackles Third World countries to the Beijing regime.”

Despite this grisly record, in 2018 the Vatican signed a pact with China.

China Pressures Africa to Embrace ‘Traditional Medicine’ Coronavirus Cures

[…]

In science-based medical communities, TCM is highly controversial. The World Health Organization (WHO) — which has disseminated information shared by Beijing and now known to be false about the Wuhan virus — endorsed TCM last year, leading to a flood of criticism from doctors and researchers who contended that the WHO should not support treatments that do not go through the necessary rigorous testing that keeps drugs and medical practices safe.

“We don’t give drugs and surgical treatments unless there is real evidence that they work and do no damage and basically the feeling is that most of the traditional Chinese medicine drugs are unregulated,” George Griffin, the president of the Federation of European Academies of Medicine (FEAM), told the Guardian last year. “They are not tested properly for toxicity. They probably vary greatly between batches produced, for example seaweed, which is the latest, and they may be harmful. The other side of the equation is that they may be deluding patients into thinking they are taking appropriate therapies for serious disease.” …

Coronavirus: Chinese Elite May Win More U.S. Citizenship-for-Investment Visas Despite Scandals

A supposed plan by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) would reward more of China’s elite to essentially buy American citizenship for themselves and their families with the promise of investing in U.S. cities.

Under the EB-5 visa, wealthy foreign nationals can claim that they will invest at least $500,000 and thus receive Green Cards for their family for at least two years, with pathways to American citizenship available as well. The only requirement is that the EB-5 investor creates ten U.S. jobs and help revitalize “distressed” areas, though more often than not investors fund projects in wealthy zip codes.

Currently, 10,000 foreign nationals and their families are allowed to enter the U.S. every year on the EB-5 visa. The overwhelming majority of EB-5 visas are rewarded to China’s elite — driving a migration of rich Chinese to cities across the country. …

The Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) has mapped out the ever-growing list of scandals and corruption in the EB-5 visa program where wealthy foreign investors have been known to never follow through on their promise to invest.

Fox News’s Tucker Carlson says the “corrupt” EB-5 visa program is selling American citizenship to rich Chinese nationals.

“Something called an EB-5 permanent resident visa is available to foreign nationals who start businesses here who employ at least 10 people … now, at the moment, most of these EB-5 visas go to Chinese nationals in order to finance real estate projects in our cities — one of the reasons housing costs are so high,” Carlson said.

  1. As one Russian poet wrote: All this would be ridiculous, if it were not so sad.

In the Stavropol Territory, the main infectious disease specialist was the first to become infected with coronavirus.

In the Stavropol Territory, fatal carelessness was shown by the one who, in theory, is responsible for observing these rules. The chief infectious disease specialist of the region at the height of the epidemic traveled to Spain and did not even inform anyone about it. As a result, she fell ill herself and could infect others.

It is known that Irina Sannikova returned in early March from Spain at a time when the epidemic of coronavirus was in full swing there. But only after two weeks she turned to the doctors with malaise. In a state of moderate severity and a diagnosis of bilateral pneumonia, the patient was placed in intensive care.

Irina Sannikova also teaches at the Stavropol State Medical University. Immediately after her arrival, without any isolation she went to work and lectured to students. Although, by order of the university, she was obliged to warn the management of her foreign trip. But for some reason she didn’t.

Such carelessness can now turn into a criminal case under two articles: “Concealment of information” and Negligence. ”

Although a month ago, a woman on the air of a local television channel herself called on people to responsibility and self-isolation. Especially those who return home from Europe.

Those who contacted Irina Sannikova, and this, according to the regional authorities, more than a thousand people, are checked for infection. 300 of them are quarantined. Eleven patients have suspected coronavirus.

  2. “Germany closed borders to everyone but asylum centers”

While I cannot comment on the Norway Denmark articles, this seems to contradict the German BAMF (Federal Agency for Migration and Refugees) which has suspended all Refugee resettlement I.E. migrants stranded in another country can’t apply for asylum in Germany, which is what they would need to do considering the countries on the way to Germany (Austria, Italy, Hungary) they would enter are in complete lockdown and the air transport was suspended. Something else to note: Federal Ministry statement said an Asylum seeker must be tested for Coronavirus and the results show negative, though this was left off the VoE article presumably for dramatic effect.

    .MORE ABOUT SWEDEN

Chief physician Johan Styrud believes that the staff are now no longer enough to care for more covid-19 patients. At the same time, the number of patients in need of care is expected to multiply in the coming week. No more care places – triage is now being introduced to decide who is to be rescued.

This weekend, Swedish healthcare is expected to reach its capacity ceiling for care of covid-19 patients. Thus, so-called triage is initiated, that is, sorting of which patients should try to be rescued and which should be denied help.

In Friday night’s SVT Report, Johan Styrud, chief physician at Danderyds Hospital, is asked if when due to lack of capacity, healthcare staff will be forced to opt out of covid-19 patients.

    – Unfortunately at the weekend or the beginning of the week, he replies.

Field hospitals are traveled all over the country and unused premises of various kinds are used for care. In this way, the local problem can be solved and where the capacity runs out, the availability of healthcare personnel is instead.

    – It is not premises that will be decisive but lack of staff, says Styrud.

For some, the lack of care places is already evident. Lena Herman’s two 80-year-old parents are seriously ill in covid-19. Dad, who has recently undergone advanced surgery, is difficult to breathe. But there are no care places so they must stay at home.

    – All planned care is canceled, all planned non-emergency operations are canceled. All reception that is not urgent is canceled, says Johan Styrud.

Based on the exponential spread rate observed for the coronavirus, 3-4 times more Swedes can be expected to be infected next weekend compared to today.

  4. “Why Are So Many People in Italy Dying of the Coronavirus?” My guess is it’s because Italians can’t keep their hands to themselves that it spread so rapidly and now their medical system (which probably isn’t that great to begin with) can’t treat all patients, so they just leave the elderly to die (which was confirmed). And many countries (like Germany) underestimated how fast it can spread.

  5. I’m practicing social distancing at home. But enough’s enough. Let Me In The House!

Don’t panic and don’t pooh pooh has been my approach to Winnie the Flu.
The way that control freaks have went all in tells me that this was intentional.
Also the fact that all travel wasn’t stopped immediately is a giveaway.
Look up Event 201 last November at Johns Hopkins if you are one of those coincidence theory people.

  7. This news, about Erdogan’s plan, from a very reliable Greek source.

Is there an agreement between Iran and Turkey on the issue of organized population movement aimed at creating invasions in Europe?
Iranian officials say by the end of 2019 that if the embargo on Iran continues, 3 million Afghan refugees living in Iran will head to Europe.
Almost all of these people have entered Turkey from Iran. Of these, only 170,000 have been registered with the UNHCR.
Others are waiting in areas like Istanbul, from where they can reach Greece in a short period of time for different purposes.
If Erdogan’s last emigrants to Adrianople were able to break through the border and cross into Greece, this would likely lead to a giant raid that could potentially occupy Europe again.
For there is no doubt that Iran and Turkey are prepared to provide all logistics support to the tens of millions of people ready to emigrate from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Iran, Iran, Syria and Turkey. All of them are aiming for Andrianople to cross into Europe.
After such an invasion Europe would be confused and governments would fall. This is how their intentions became apparent.
In addition to all the above, there is information that Erdogan has begun organizing similar migrations from Africa, through Libya, to Europe. And we must not forget that one of the purposes for which Erdogan sent his legions from Syria and Turkey to Libya is to organize this new wave of migration.

It is likely that European leaders who have realized this opportunity to knock on Erdogan’s door again. But European leaders’ pursuit of a dialogue with Erdogan shows that they have not yet fully understood who and what Erdogan is.
No matter how much money Erdogan is given, he will ask for more every time and continue to drive the poor and helpless to Europe again. These homeless women and children dying in the Aegean, Evros or on barbed wire are just a material for Erdogan to propagandize and exploit the human emotions of Europeans.

As Europeans retreat and pay Erdogan, his appetite will increase and in the end he will demand more.

Let the EU leaders have this in mind ..
