Hudgens made the comments during an Instagram live stream.

“Umm, yeah until July sounds like a bunch of bulls***,” said the actress. “I’m sorry, but like, it’s a virus, I get it, like, I respect it, but at the same time like even if everybody gets it, like, yeah people are gonna die, which is terrible, but like inevitable?”

“Maybe I shouldn’t be doing this right now,” she added.

Mysterious Ancient Sea-Worm Pegged as New Genus After Half-Century in ‘Wastebasket’

When a partial fossil specimen of a primordial marine worm was unearthed in Utah in 1969, scientists had a tough go identifying it. Usually, such worms are recognized and categorized by the arrangement of little knobs on their plates. But in this case, the worm’s plates were oddly smooth, and important bits of the worm were missing altogether.

Discouraged, researchers placed the mystery worm in a “wastebasket” genus called Palaeoscolex, and interest in the lowly critter waned for the next 50 years.

That all changed recently when Paul Jamison, a teacher from Logan, Utah, and private collector, and his student Riley Smith were hunting fossils in the Spence Shale in Utah, a 506-million-year-old geologic unit housing a plethora of exceptionally preserved soft-bodied and biomineralized fossils. (Paleontologists call such a mother lode of fossils a “Lagerstätte.”) There, Smith discovered a second, more thoroughly preserved example of the worm.

Coronavirus: Europe’s ‘Open Borders’ System Faces Collapse

As a growing number of countries close their borders to fight the coronavirus pandemic, the European system of open internal borders — a cornerstone of European integration — is on the brink of collapse.

The so-called Schengen Area, which comprises 26 European countries, entered into effect in 1995 and abolishes the need for passports and other types of control at mutual borders. It is a key practical and symbolic achievement of European integration and is now falling apart.

In a move packed with political significance, Germany, the largest and most powerful country in the European Union, on March 16 introduced controls on its borders with Austria, Denmark, France, Luxembourg and Switzerland after it registered 1,000 new cases of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) in just one day.

China’s Real Disease: Not Coronavirus

[…]

“Does trade increase or decrease the likelihood of conflict?” Samuel Huntington, the late Harvard political scientist, asked in The Clash of Civilizations and the Remaking of World Order. “The assumption that it reduces the probability of war between nations is, at a minimum, not proven, and much evidence exists to the contrary.”

High levels of trade did not prevent the First World War, he pointed out in that landmark book. As Huntington, building on the work of others, noted, what is important is expectation. “Economic interdependence fosters peace,” he wrote, “only ‘when states expect that high trade levels will continue into the foreseeable future.’“ If, however, trade partners “do not expect high levels of interdependence to continue, war is likely to result.” …

Of course, war does not inevitably result when countries “delink,” “decouple,” or “disengage” their economies. Yet China and the U.S. are also moving apart as Americans become wary of an increasingly belligerent Chinese state, one that already has demonstrated that it has, for instance, little reluctance to injure Americans.

China, as we now know, allowed the coronavirus to spread for six weeks in December and January before Xi publicly acknowledged the disease. So, it is no surprise that Americans — and the Chinese people, who are now demanding fundamental political change — realize that the real disease is communism.

Coronavirus proves that for America and the Free World, China’s communism is the enemy — the one that really counts.

However, last week a Chinese foreign ministry spokesman shared a conspiracy theory, alleging the US Army had brought it to the region.

The unfounded accusation led US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to demand China stop spreading “disinformation” as it tried “to shift blame” for the outbreak.

We Are in This Crisis Because of the Decisions of the Chinese Government

Even today, prominent Chinese citizens who criticize the government’s response suddenly disappear. The Chinese government is much more effective at stopping the spread of information about the coronavirus than stopping the spread of the coronavirus. Pardon me, the “Wuhan virus.”

We are in this mess in large part because of the decisions of the Chinese government. And once it’s safe to come out, we’re going to face some extremely consequential decisions about how we choose to treat the Chinese government after their catastrophic secrecy, coverups, blundering, and disregard for human life around the globe.

    • They have not even started yet! Greece is now almost at war with Turkey with Turkish security forces physically assisting and directing the “migrants” Sooner or later they will be across and millions will flood Europe. This is a Moslem Brotherhood and Erdogan plan. They always do it this way. We are at war. As I long predicted but was laughed at.They won’t be laughing much longer and compared to what is coming- I can deal with ridicule.

  1. “Marvel Comics Introduces New Non-Binary Superhero Character Snowflake as Part of Woke New Warriors Line-Up”
I’ve actually pained myself through the video and all I was getting from the writer was “we’ve prepared this new dose of propaganda for children and hopefully it sells better than our previous attempts.”
Don’t buy this c*ap for your children! And check all comics from the last decade or so before you buy them.
If they wanna read comics, get the old stories for them! Daredevil, for example, is a much more apropriate story to grow up with – it’s about a white Christian kid who is being raised by his dad and gets blinded while saving another person from a car crash and eventually ends up fighting crime in Hell’s Kitchen, New York City. Overal he’s a highly moral protagonist, which can’t be said about any of the new characters I’ve tried checking out.
Or look for your local comic books, pretty much every Western country has it’s own production and thus far doesn’t seem to be as heavily influenced as American comics.
Or better yet, get your child to read old adventure books like Robinson Crusoe, Treasure Island or White Fang for older ones. I would also highly recommend novels by Jaroslav Foglar, as far as they’re avaiable in your language, such as Boys from the Beavers’ river – his novels are mostly centered around Boy Scouts adventures and the protagonists generally have a strong morale while being relatable for boys. Rapid Arrows was also turned into a nice comic book series (and movies), but I don’t know if it was translated.
Girls might prefer books with horses and there are plenty of those. For older girls, last year I’ve come across a gorgeous comic adaptation of The Last Unicorn by Peter B. Gillis and Peter S. Beagle.

  2. The Czech premier, whose country depends on nuclear energy and coal, said Monday (16 March) the European Union should ditch its landmark green law seeking carbon neutrality as it battles the novel coronavirus.

“Europe should forget about the Green Deal now and focus on the coronavirus instead,” Prime Minister Andrej Babis told reporters, without explaining how the two are connected.

Not completely sure what he had in mind either, but considering Škoda (and all of Volkswagen) closed it’s factory, I suppose one reason might be that these companies are going to struggle after the epidemic as is and delaying the Green Deal might relieve them at least a little bit.
That and the fact that coal powerplants seem to be more appealing (and ultimately more environment friendly) than solar panel fields.

This aside, so far I feel like our government is handling the situation well and it would be much better if my fellow citizen were more disciplined.

  3. “Reset: Russian Parliament Declares National Do-Over, Allows Putin to Rule Until 2036” All things considered, I’d rather have Putin in power for years to come, than for Russia falling into the hands of either someone too stupid to actually go to war with the West or someone too weak to balance the US.
Trump and Putin seem to respect eachother well and that’s the best outcome for anybody in the World.

    • Of course you like him. This Gauleiter is a real enemy of the Russian people and a criminal. It would be nice if during his lifetime he shared the fate of Chausheksku. In order to judge something, one must live in this country among ordinary people.

This wave of hatred in the country, which he raised by a constitutional coup, will not lead to anything good.

    “Germany suspends refugee resettlement programs
BERLIN — Germany on Wednesday said it will suspend resettlement programs for refugees because of the coronavirus outbreak.

Reasons for the decision include travel bans imposed in recent weeks to halt the spread of the virus, said Steve Alter, a government spokesman. The European Union banned all nonessential travel in and out of the 27-member bloc this week.

Partner organizations like the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) also suspended resettlement activities, citing “severe disruptions” to travel arrangements related to the coronavirus outbreak.

The government spokesman, Alter, said: “It is an adaptation to the actual situation that we are now experiencing.”

E.U. resettlement agreements with Turkey also will be suspended, including the so-called one-to-one mechanism by which one Syrian asylum seeker or migrant is resettled to an E.U. member state for every Syrian asylum seeker returned to Turkey.

The programs have come to a “de facto standstill” since last Friday and will be resumed “as soon as it’s actually possible,” Alter said.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2020/03/18/coronavirus-latest-news/

    • Notice that all these programs are entitled “RESETTLEMENT”, thereby preordaining the result.

We should ask, “What happened to Refugee RELIEF, or to Refugee ASSISTANCE”?

Traditionally refugees were helped while the war was being waged, and then could RETURN to their countries. Refugee RESETTLEMENT is a crafty and not honest strategy of the UN’s “Replacement Migration” program, which is designed to undermine and dilute national identity.
