Evicted to Make Room for Culture-Enrichers

The following video from Germany reports on a practice that has now become fairly commonplace: the eviction of elderly native citizens from their apartments to make room for a higher-density cohort of migrants. This is happening not only in Germany, but also in Sweden, and possibly other Western European countries as well. Several years ago there was a proposal to do something similar in the UK. Older residents whose children had grown up and left home were said to be “selfish” to hang onto to their large residences with all those empty bedrooms, given that there was a housing shortage in the country. And that shortage was, of course, due to mass immigration from the Third World.

What I notice about these stories from Germany is that the evicting landlord is always the municipal government. In the USA, almost all rental properties are privately owned. There is some government-owned housing, but even Section 8 housing is usually privately-owned with a government subsidy. If eviction takes place, it is a private landlord doing the evicting.

In Germany, however, the municipalities seem to own most of the urban apartments. That means when the government implements a policy of resettling migrants, it can push people out of their apartments when needed. Displaced tenants evidently have some options for making legal appeals, but not as much as they would if their rental contracts were in the private sector.

Video transcript:

00:00   A 150-square-meter apartment with six rooms for €500 per month.
00:04   You can hardly get an apartment like that anymore.
00:08   Klaus Roth and his partner have lived in such an apartment in Neckartailfingen for 24 years.
00:14   The two assumed that nothing would change in their living situation
00:18   before they received mail from the municipality.
00:21   What is going on here? I was asked to come to the town hall.
00:25   I thought they just wanted to talk to me, and now
00:28   they are giving me an eviction notice. They told me, well,
00:31   you know that we need flats for the asylum seekers.
00:34   The Roths won’t settle for that, so both parties have met in court.
00:41   Klaus Roth and his partner Maria Seidl are trying to clear the air
00:45   with Mayor Gerhard Gaedicke at the Nürtingen district court.
00:49   The retired couple will be evicted from their six-room apartment in Neckartailfingen.
00:53   They are willing to do so,
00:56   but the price and the surroundings must be right.
01:00   So the main point was to get a moving allowance, not only for the costs,
01:04   but also to clean out the apartment and put the furniture back together in the new apartment.
01:12   They also don’t want to pay a deposit because
01:15   they didn’t pay for their current apartment from the municipality.
01:19   These demands still have to be approved by the municipal council.
01:22   At the moment, the mayor has offered the couple a two-room apartment.
01:26   I have now offered them another apartment to look at, which is the third one we’ve offered
01:30   to Mr. Roth and his partner. By this, I think you can see that
01:35   as landlords we are very responsible towards our tenants.
01:39   No one is being thrown out on the street. We are offering an alternative.
01:43   If these options aren’t sufficient, the community
01:46   has no others to offer. —The retired couple have been
01:50   living in this apartment for 24 years. Klaus Roth has
01:54   put a lot of initiative and money into the rental apartment.
01:57   However, last year the community terminated their
02:00   rental agreement due to its own needs. —We, like all communities
02:05   in Esslingen county, have to take in and
02:10   accommodate asylum seekers, and that’s the reason why we want to use this apartment.
02:16   Neckartailfingen still has to accommodate a total of nine refugees.
02:20   This six-room apartment with 150 square meters,
02:23   a balcony, and a garden is earmarked for them. On the other hand, the question arises as to why
02:29   the over-70 pensioner couple are being forced to move out?
02:32   Klaus Roth has already suffered a stroke and
02:35   a move is unreasonable burden for him. —He’s not healthy,
02:39   and his partner is also very incapacitated health-wise.
02:42   So for me there is a question of whether this eviction and move go beyond reasonable expectations.
02:46   Should both sides not agree in March, the judge must make the ruling
02:49   and assess the limits of reasonable expectation.

  1. “house asylum seekers” why not just build a giant FEMA type camp for these people then? most of the migration invasion problems would be solved outright if they were all put in camps purpose built for refugees, no crime on actual citizens, no one allowed to just roam around the country at will. They aren’t citizens, and if it is somehow a fundamental right to claim asylum, as the german constitution says, then they are out of their hellhole countries but not messing up yours.

of course the goal is IS to goal social conflict. Just like 9/11 was the perfect excuse for the patriot act

    • They did build large refugee centers, but the Germans WANT to keep these people, there’s no intention to return anyone. I lived in Germany 12 years, off and on over 25 years, my observation is the German people are literally dying out. You see a lot of old Germans and then as you go further down in age less and less ethnic Germans. If you observe a grade school in Germany, half the class is foreign. Some Germans care that they are a dying ethnicity, but I think most don’t even care. It’s sad.

      • Maybe it wouldn’t be such a loss if they die out. It would be welcome to be rid of their stupidity, and the Japanese build more reliable luxury cars than them anyways.

        • you think you are immune to this. where do you think they go after they destroy germany to make it a dictatorship? whatever the hell country you live in ye of little foresight.

          • A people that refuse to reproduce themselves, refuse to defend themselves, and actively work to bring in invaders hostile to themselves and others cannot be saved and in the natural order of things would go extinct.

At this point, the stupidity and plain malice of some Germans is reinforced and amplified by the stupidity and apathy of many other Germans and the resuts thereof have once again brought Europe to the brink of war. My flippant comment reflects this reality; that a people that do not want to be saved cannot be saved, and that in their death spiral they are dragging the rest of Europe willing and unwilling along with them. Once again it will likely fall upon Americans (and Russians) to clean up the mess that was wrought by foolish Germans upon all of Europe. It will not be the first time we have done so and unfortunately we already have plenty of experience at it.

      • While the general idea of an ageing population is certainly correct, I somehow doubt you’ve seen a lot of German grade schools

    • [expletive] let them stay where they are. they created this mess and will only create the same mess anywhere they go. we have this problem in the united states. liberals moving from cities and states where the policies the liberals embraced and supported have destroyed the cities and now even states.

  2. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kommunaler_Wohnungsbau

The bar chart in blue shows municipal-owned apartments as as a % of all apartments in 2009. You see that the figures average 10% only. So 10% of all German apartments are in the public sector.

At 01.12 the word used is deposit, which sounds harmless: this is actually a tenancy bond or surety, often about 3 months rental, in this case EUR 1,500.

That bonds then gets put by the landlord onto a blocked account and is repaid only at the end of the lease minus any allowable deductions for apartment damage etc.

At 02.00 the phrase used is “due to its own needs”. This is actually a legal clause, Eigenbedarfskündigung, whereby a German landlord may terminate a lease if he needs the apartment for his personal use and for not much else, as tenancy protection is high.

As Germany is one of them there socialistic places reviled by aspects of the CONUS Right at GoV, the two old people may well be protected by this communistic brake on the free market:-)) at the pending court case.

Because personal use is not an absolute, the judge will consider the case on its merits.

I predict that German tenancy law, as also other social protections is scheduled to be heavily damaged by the landlord class and their political minions, naturally in the interests of “residential Diversity”, “anti-Racism” , “rental Empathy”, etc.

    • I agree. The couple would have been on the street long ago if their place was outside Germany and owned by private equity.

    • In WW2 Poland those middle class houses and apartments were
vacated by order to make room for to the Nazi’s settlers. This is the latest round of bouts.

  4. Did that elderly couple support the “welcome migrant” and vote for parties in agreement?

Then it would be their duty to move out, as in a way they did say they would, though with a proviso of finding something similiar and no extra costs. 🙂

Hat tip to Elena, on a GoV newsfeed, about “Heart of a Dog”
What I like is the juxtaposition scene in this old black & white old movie of
    Heart of a Dog 03 (eng.sub)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ix_hBLMGcU
    8 min 56 secs..
…. wanting the professor to downsize his apartment, to take in more people.

So who knows who; how long will that last.? until the next purge? 🙂

The original whole story was written nigh on a 100 years ago, and the rhyme & satire in todays world if one quickly reads through the wiki-link , shows there is nothing new in this fashionable world. 🙂

Just the connection of crazy ideologies that are still floating around. albeit in differing but powerful forms.

  5. Germany is lost , this whole government is big scandal!!!, I never see in my life where politicians in the Bundestag calling each other fascist, Nazi , !!, where are they come from!!, what kind of world We are living, !!, smear own citizens like a garbage, and put this Illegal scums , leeches Muslims to Their homes , I guess Great replacement is working fine for this traitors…

  6. 150 sqm. at 500€ a month seems just ridiculous to me, assumed that the place is not a dump!I do pity poor elderly people and wish they may stay as long as they wish, but: This is about more than the habitable surface of a detached home. The average surface per capita in Germany is around 30 sqm. Just in order to give you a rough idea: I was raised – family of 4- on 72 sqm. in the sixties, one small room for my brother and me.Not comfortable, but I am not sobbing.

  7. Peacetime is over. The butchers are are toughened up and ready for the slaughter. The planning and preparation to create as much wreckage as possible is complete. I imagine. No surprises. We have know this was coming for decades.

  8. California state government is considering outlawing landlords and the state taking over the private rental properties…. typical of Socialism = Communism.

Other states controlled by the Communist Democrats are considering the same, as well as outlawing suburban family homes.

  9. They did build large refugee centers, but the Germans WANT to keep these people, there’s no intention to return anyone. I lived in Germany 12 years, off and on over 25 years, my observation is the German people are literally dying out. You see a lot of old Germans and then as you go further down in age less and less ethnic Germans. If you observe a grade school in Germany, half the class is foreign. 10. It seems, a large majority of people have been brainwashed, to keep on viting for these lieingbscum traitors,

I believe they have developed, mastered techniques of mind control, and are able with certainty to swing enough minds in order to keep in power.

That plus must beba lot of muslimnand other foreignersbwhove been given voting rights, this is why the natives cant vote them out, cant get rid of merkel and her gangsters, it seems system dont work.

I believe only violence, mass unrest, et al like in eastern europe 1989/90
Will deal the blows neeed to topple the merkel commie-nazi dictatorship,

How is this woman still still still in Power???

You have to believe by now, the system is completly rigged,
Its why they also stopping freedom of speech, in order to silence the ones wjo have not swallowed the multo culti and relig of peace propganda,

Because they know the woken ones are spreading the truth and awakening the brainwashed ones.

Im sorry, but it has to end in violence, merkel is a old communist gangster,
These villains will not step down, besides shes already destroyed germany, europe as a whole as well.

All euro white women are now at mercy of these black and brown invaders, savages, our menbsre cowed by hate speech laws, and anti white marxist feminist hate.

I prey to read soon in some news site that merkel has been bumped off!!’
Along with most of her nazi commie gangsters who are supporting her crimes.

    • My blood boils and I am not German. There is only one answer to this – and it is so obvious that there is no need for me to spell it out. I have children and grand children, even so, bring it on…

  11. So the city has other apartments available? Why not put the invaders in them?

I strongly suspect the others are [ordure] compared to this apartment. Not good enough for invaders to squat in.

  12. If ever there was a time to pray for
war revolution and uprisings it is now. I imagine.

  13. They are probably all evil Hitler-SS Nazi Gestapo Führers anyway.
How are there any Jews left in Europe if the six million figure is correct?
All the feminists and SJW snowflakes are in for a rude shock when the religion of peace takes over and it couldn’t happen to nicer bunch of clowns.
Also people who like the homosexual lifestyle will not be happy under the religion of peace but some people have to learn the hard way.

  14. hey it’s social justice. those muslims need those apts. more then the germans do. germans subscribe to social justice ideology so don’t complain when your are it’s victims. anybody find it ironic that social justice ideology was created by people that created the most unjust governments in human history.
