Trouble With a Capital “T”

In the following video a young man named Ben Joseph Woods gives testimony before the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors about the current political crisis in Virginia and the rest of the USA. Maj. Woods is a military veteran and an officer in the Marine Reserves, in addition to his current service as a law enforcement officer. He addresses not just the 2nd Amendment Sanctuary issue, but also the larger political crisis that has the country so deeply polarized.

This video was recorded in early December. It’s worth noting that since that time the number of sanctuary counties has grown to about 80 — that is, 90% of the counties in Virginia:

  1. I don’t know much about the situation in Virginia, other than what I’ve read here, but I was moved by the honesty and decency, and concern, of this young man who has evidently served his contry with distinction. I hope the US still has many more such.

  2. If they hold those views why did they vote for the lunatics in office?? What did they think they were getting?

  3. “I have corrected his statement to reflect where we’re truly sitting today. What his statement should’ve said is that the legal precedent we would set by allowing the legislature to selectively ignore enumerated rights at will is the same mindset that 150 years ago led this country into a civil war.”

Well mister Son of Joseph of the Woods I’d like to posit a question to you and especially everyone above you. Why don’t you enforce the laws meant to be protections against such intrusions by any Governor, Legislator and District Attorney? Why don’t we ever see anyone prosecuted and sentence for…

U.S. Code, Title 18, Part I, Chapter 13, § 242 – Deprivation of rights under color of law “…makes it a crime for any person acting under color of law, statute, ordinance, regulation, or custom to willfully deprive or cause to be deprived from any person those rights, privileges, or immunities secured or protected by the Constitution and laws of the United States.” …”shall be fined under this title, or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.”

…because I would really like a good answer to that question as to why no federal official never enforces U.S. Code, Title 18, Part I, Chapter 13, § 242 – Deprivation of rights under color of law. Why?
