Italy: NPLs Below 80 Bn: 60% Down in 4 Yrs

Deterioration of credit slowed in 2019 — ABI

(ANSA) — Rome, December 27 — Italian bank’s non-performing loans have fallen to under 80 billion euros, the Italian Banking Association (ABI) said Friday.

By the end of the year, it said, the total of NPLs will be just under 80 billion.

This compares to 84 billion in June.

At the end of 2015, by contrast, the NPLs totalled some 197 billion euros.

So they will have dropped about 60% in four years, ABI said.

ABI added that “in 2019 the deterioration of credit slowed”.

Italy has seen a number of banking crisis in recent years, some related to the high level of NPLs.

Siena bank Monte dei Paschi di Siena (MPS), the world’s oldest lender, had to be bailed out.

Regional banks including a number from the Veneto region also had to be rescued or consolidated.

Some other local savings banks went to the wall, with small savers bilked and having to get government compensation.

Many outlets have named him as the “whistleblower” who coordinated with staffers for Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) before filing a report on Trump’s Ukraine call, sparking the investigation that led to the president’s impeachment.

But Collyer was warned in 2018 about the fraudulent FISA applications by Rep. Devin Nunes.

Michael Moore: “White People Are Not Good People… You Should be Afraid of White People”

Film maker Michael Moore told Rolling Stone “white people are not good people” and that “you should be afraid of white people.”

During an interview on the ‘Useful Idiot’ podcast, Moore said that people should cross the street if they see three white men approaching them because at least two voted for Trump.

“Two-thirds of all white guys voted for Trump. That means anytime you see three white guys walking at you, down the street toward you, two of them voted for Trump. You need to move over to the other sidewalk because these are not good people that are walking toward you. You should be afraid of them,” Moore warned.

New Documentary Details How General Flynn Was Targeted and Set Up by Obama White House for Calling Out Clinton and Obama Supported Terrorist Cabal in the US

Flynn then dropped this bomb about the Clinton Foundation’s relationship with this terrorist:

However, funding seems to be no problem for Gülen’s network. Hired attorneys work to keep the lucrative government source of income for Gülen and his network going. Influential charities such as Cosmos Foundation continue their support for Gulen’s charter schools.

Incidentally, Cosmos Foundation is a major donor to Clinton Foundation. No wonder Bill Clinton calls Mullah Gülen “his friend.” It is now no secret that Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton’s close aide and confidante, worked for 12 years as the associate editor for a journal published by the London-based Institute of Minority Muslim Affairs. This institute has promoted the thoughts of radical Muslim thinkers such as Qutb, al Bana and others.

Neonrevolt notes a New York Times article that discusses the terrorist organization in the US led by Gulen. What is happening is this:

The taxpayers fund the school system

The school abuses the H1-B visa program to import “teachers.”

The “teachers” get paid by taxpayers.

The “teachers” then donate 40% of their paychecks BACK to the Gulen Movement.

And Gulen goes and donates a chunk of this change back to the Clinton Foundation… while also trying to subvert and overthrow the Turkish government.

Neonrevolt then notes some statistics on the corruption in the US related to the Gulen group.

Virginia Governor Northam Increases Corrections Budget in Anticipation of Jailing Gun Owners

As if Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam’s wholesale attack on law-abiding gun owners wasn’t enough, the disgraced public official and his Michael Bloomberg-bought allies in the General Assembly now want the state’s hard-working taxpayers to foot the bill for their unconstitutional schemes. The budget bill (HB30) includes an appropriation of a quarter million dollars to carry out a host of gun control measures that Northam and his anti-gun allies hope to enact.

The $250,000 is appropriated to the Corrections Special Reserve Fund in order to provide for the “increase in the operating cost of adult correctional facilities resulting from the enactment” of Northam’s gun control measures. Among the enumerated laws that this allocation is meant to fund is a ban on commonly-owned semi-automatic firearms, the criminalization of private firearms transfers, and gun confiscation orders issued without due process.

WaPo Media Critic: Maddow Has a Lot to Answer for With Steele Dossier Obsession

Plenty of people need to answer for their embrace of the Steele dossier — the FBI, James Comey, Adam Schiff, Christopher Steele himself. A number of media outlets need to provide accountability, especially Buzzfeed for its inexplicable decision to publish what turned out to be a salacious package mostly consisting of rumor as misinformation. But when it comes to the worst offender, Erik Wemple declared yesterday, no one surpasses MSNBC’s biggest prime-time host.

“Name a host on cable news who has dug more deeply into Trump-Russia than MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow,” Wemple writes. And no one got it more wrong, either — and no one ran as fast from it when it fell apart. “She was there for the bunkings, absent for the debunkings,” Wemple concludes, “a pattern of misleading and dishonest asymmetry.”

Washington Post Denies Claim New Estrogen-Packed ‘Impossible Whopper’ Will Make Men Grow Breasts

The Washington Post published an entire article denying a claim by a veterinarian that Burger King’s new estrogen-packed vegan ‘Impossible Whopper’ could make men grow breasts if they eat too many.

According to James Stangle, a doctor of veterinary medicine in South Dakota, the soy-based Impossible Whopper contains 18 million times more estrogen than the original beef Whopper.

That works out at 44 milligrams of estrogen in the vegan burger compared to just 2.5 nanograms in the original beef Whopper.

“Just six glasses of soy milk per day has enough estrogen to grow boobs on a male,” wrote Stangle.

Italy: State Stakes in Crisis-Hit Firms ‘No Longer Taboo’

State, market can co-exist to make market work better says min

(ANSA) — Rome, December 24 — The State’s taking up a stake in crisis-hit businesses like airline Alitalia, the ex-ILVA steel group and the failed Popolare di Bari bank should no longer be a “taboo”, Economy Minister Roberto Gualtieri said in a newspaper interview Tuesday.

“The State and the market can co-exist with the express purpose of making the market work better,” he told La Repubblica.

Gualtieri recalled that the formula of a mixed public and private ownership “showed its benefits” in the many partial privatisations of State companies that Italy has seen over the last couple of decades.

“The most important Italian multinationals are still today companies with a public stakeholding,” he said.

The State is set to take up a stake in chronically lossmaking airline Alitalia, along with Delta Airlines and other interested parties.

It is also set to invest in the former ILVA steel group and its sprawling and highly polluting Taranto plant after Framco-Indian group ArcleorMittal tried to get out of a contract to take it over.

The State will also play its part in the rescue of Banca Popolare di Bari.

Italy: Chinese 5G Warning Must be Assessed — Guerini

(ANSA) — Rome, December 23 — Defence Minister Lorenzo Guerini said Monday that the government must take account of a warning by parliament’s intelligence oversight commission about the involvement of Chinese companies in the development of Italy’s 5G network. Last week the Copasir said use of equipment provided by Chinese firms Huawei and ZTE in Italy’s 5G network could be a security risk.

The firms have denied this but Guerini said Monday that the warning “must be assessed carefully” adding that the international debate about this issue “cannot be ignored”. Telecom Italia (TIM) is in the process of selecting suppliers for the upgrade of Italy’s telecommunications infrastructure.

The United States has pressured Italy and other European States not to use Huawei technology in their new networks.

Italy: Facebook Appeals Against CasaPound Reactivation

Rome court ordered accounts taken down in Sep to be reopened

(ANSA) — Rome, December 27 — Facebook on Friday appealed against a recent Rome court order to reactivate the accounts of neo-Fascist group CasaPound.

A spokesman for the social network said “there is concrete evidence that CasaPound committed organised hatred and repeatedly broke our rules”.

“That is why we have appealed”.

Facebook said “we don’t want people or groups that spread hate or attack others on the basis of who they are to use our services.

“It doesn’t matter who they are”.

The spokesman said “we have a policy on dangerous people and organisations which bans those involved in ‘organised hate’ from using our services.

“Political parties and candidates, like all the individuals and organisations present on Facebook and Instagram, must respect these rules, no matter what their ideologies”.

On December 12 the Rome civil court ordered Facebook to carry out the immediate reactivation of CasaPound’s facebook page, as well as the personal profile and public page of its administrator Davide Di Stefano.

Facebook had deactivated these accounts on September 9.

Report Hyped by Climate Alarmists Warned of Million of Deaths, Nuclear War, Sunken Major Cities by 2020

According to experts, climate change will result in “millions” of deaths, major European cities being sunken, nuclear war and global environmental riots…all within the next 5 days.

That’s because they made the prediction back in 2004 and said all that would happen by 2020, which is just 5 days away.

“Climate change over the next 20 years could result in a global catastrophe costing millions of lives in wars and natural disasters,” reported left-wing newspaper the Guardian on February 22, 2004.

“A secret report, suppressed by US defence chiefs and obtained by The Observer, warns that major European cities will be sunk beneath rising seas as Britain is plunged into a ‘Siberian’ climate by 2020. Nuclear conflict, mega-droughts, famine and widespread rioting will erupt across the world,” the report added.

Libya: We Asked Italy for Arms Too Says Serraj

We got no reply says GNA Prime Minister

(ANSA) — Rome, December 23 — Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA) Prime Minister Fayez al-Serraj, whose Tripoli-based administration is recognised by the United Nations, has confirmed that he asked Italy for weapons to repel the offensive staged by Field Marshall Khalifa Haftar. “We asked for weapons from many countries, including Italy, which has the right to choose the policy it likes most,” Serraj said in an interview in Monday’s Corriere della Sera when asked about the assistance being provided by Turkey. “Relations remain excellent anyway. In truth, an official response never came from Rome”. Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio said the solution to the Libya crisis “cannot be military” as he visited the North African country for talks with both sides in the conflict last week.

Di Maio had meetings with Serraj and Haftar, who commands forces based in eastern Libya. “We had a rich exchange of opinions with Di Maio,” Serraj said in the interview.

“As for the visit to our assailant in Benghazi and Tobruk, I didn’t see anything of substance”. The office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights has expressed concern about the deteriorating human rights situation in Libya, including the impact of the ongoing conflict on civilians, attacks against human rights defenders and journalists, treatment of migrants and refugees, conditions of detention and impunity. “In 2019, our Office along with the UN Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has so far documented at least 284 civilian deaths and 363 injuries as a result of the armed conflict in Libya — an increase of more than a quarter over the number of casualties recorded during the same period last year,” it said.

“Airstrikes were the leading cause of civilian casualties, accounting for 182 deaths and 212 injuries, followed by ground fighting, improvised explosive devices, abductions and killings.

“During the same period, the World Health Organization has documented 61 conflict-related attacks against health care facilities and personnel, which is a 69% increase compared to the same period in 2018”.

The Exodus: Christians Fleeing Gaza, Fearing Persecution

A 60-year-old Christian from Gaza is now living on the streets of Nazareth but says he prefers to stay there than to go back to Gaza, where he had lived his entire life.

Kamal Tarazi fled the Gaza Strip in 2007 after Hamas, an Islamic group considered a terrorist outfit in Israel, seized control of the enclave, ousting its previous government, officials from Fatah.

“The moment they took control, they started persecuting us, ruining our churches and forcing Christians to convert to Islam”, the 60-year-old Christian recalls.

The Turning Point

It was then that Tarazi decided to organise demonstrations against the movement, uniting Christians and Muslims alike. The calls to act didn’t move the masses, but they did anger Hamas.

“I was jailed several times. Do you know what a Hamas prison is? It is pure torture”, he explains, adding that the Islamic group decided to keep him alive to avoid depicting themselves as persecutors of the local Christian population, something that could potentially anger the international community.

After two months in prison, Tarazi had had enough. Shortly before Christmas, he applied for a permit that would allow him to cross the border into Israel and then travel to Bethlehem — located in the West Bank — to attend a series of religious ceremonies.

Once the permit was given and the border was crossed, Tarazi vowed he would never go back, and he is not alone.

Gaza’s Christian community has been steadily declining over the years. Before Hamas came to power in 2007, Christians made up some 3,500 people in the Strip. Now, however, there are no more than 1,300 and Tarazi says the actual number is even lower.

Sultan Qaboos’ Frail Health Raises Questions on Oman’s Political Future

by by Amr Emam

Oman is bracing itself for big news. The country’s ruler of 50 years, Sultan Qaboos bin Said is suffering from frail health, stirring up speculation over who will succeed him. Qaboos reportedly cut short a visit to Belgium, where he traveled to conduct medical tests, and returned to his country, amid rumors that his days are numbered.

Who Will Succeed Sultan Qaboos?

Qaboos came to power in Oman in 1970 after ousting his father in a British-backed coup. Nonetheless, he has never appointed an heir since then. He does not have children to succeed him. Oman’s royal family has to name a successor within three days after the country’s top spot becomes vacant, according to Article No. 6 of the Omani constitution.

Qaboos has already asked the family to do this. He also has the right to name a successor who will take over if the royal family fails to agree on the person who will rule the country. Qaboos has already nominated a successor and written his name. An envelope containing the name of this person will be opened only when and if the royal family fails to choose a successor….

What Do They Know? The U.S. And Russia Have Both Been Developing Plans to Deal With Incoming Asteroids

When the Russians take decisive action, it is usually for a reason. As you will see below, the Russians have suddenly decided that now is the time to create an organization that will be tasked with detecting, tracking and potentially destroying incoming asteroids. Are they doing this now because they have finally decided that this is a good idea, or has something gotten their attention? Of course they are not likely to publicly admit if they have come to the conclusion that a gigantic space rock is heading directly toward us. Just like the U.S. government, the Russian government is very interested in maintaining social order, and so they would probably delay telling the public about a potential asteroid impact for as long as possible.

In life, what people do is far more important than what they say, and the new center that the Russians have just created will not just be watching giant space rocks. According to Futurism, this new organization will be in charge of making sure “they don’t collide with Earth”…

Russian space agency Roscosmos is creating a center devoted to monitoring meteors, comets, and asteroids to ensure they don’t collide with Earth — even it means having to blow them up in space.

Aussie PM Defies ‘Reckless’ Climate Protesters, Backs Coal Exports

Australia Prime Minister Scott Morrison has slammed calls from radical climate activists to end the export of coal — an industry worth $67billion a year to the nation’s economy — as a new report shows global demand is set to keep increasing over the next decade and beyond.

Strong demand from China and India for this electricity-generating commodity is driving the growth.

Morrison wants Australia to maintain its edge by staying a key exporter and protecting the jobs of Australians who rely on the coal mining industry for their future and their financial security.

New Zealand Gun Confiscation Program Steps on a Rake

When New Zealand experienced a mass shooting in April (previously virtually unknown in that nation), legislators there moved quickly to enact a mandatory gun “buyback” of certain semiautomatic firearms. This move was widely praised among American gun rights opponents, including virtually every serious current contender for the Democrats’ presidential nomination. Questions about why we couldn’t manage such a feat here in America littered the airwaves of CNN and MSNBC as well as the front pages of most of the major newspapers.

So how did that work out for them? Friday was the deadline and as the Washington Examiner points out, it hasn’t exactly been a smashing success. And if anything, it probably made law-abiding citizens less safe rather than more.

Ottoman Sultan Erdogan: Europe Will Feel the New Refugee Wave

As tens of thousands of people flee to the Turkish border amid the renewed bombardment Idlib province by Russian and Syrian forces, Turkey has warned that it would not be able to handle a “new refugee wave” coming from Syria.

Turkish President Recep Erdogan on Sunday warned that Europe would feel the impact of the new influx of migrants if the violence in northwest Syria isn’t quickly ended, Deutsche Welle reports.

Currently, Turkey hosts nearly 3.7 million Syrian refugees — the largest refugee population in the world. The country worries that a new wave of refugees from the Idlib province — a region that’s home to 3 million Syrians — could prove to be too much for Turkey to handle alone.

While speaking at an awards ceremony in Istanbul on Sunday evening, Erdogan said: “If the violence towards the people of Idlib does not stop, this number will increase even more. In that case, Turkey will not carry such a migrant burden on its own.”

The Turkish leader added that over 80,000 people were currently headed toward the Turkish border from Idlib.

Former Planned Parenthood Instructor: We Pushed Sex Ed on Kids to Create a Market for Abortion

Former sex educator Monica Cline said Planned Parenthood pushes sex education that “grooms” children for promiscuity and leads to abortion.

Planned Parenthood teaches students risk reduction rather than teaching children how to have healthy relationships and to date in groups, Cline said.

“Risk reduction is simply telling them how to make the high risk safer by using lubrication and condoms,” she explained. “The next step is to make them understand they need to be tested for STD’s every couple months.”

Planned Parenthood’s sex education grooms students for promiscuity, Cline believes, and this promiscuity leads them to abortion. “The sex education grooms them for promiscuity. Grooms them for STD treatment, and grooms them for abortion,” she said.

Teen Vogue has, once again, published a “guide to anal sex” for their very young readers — this time, on Christmas.

The tweet, which was an article from November, received swift backlash online from concerned parents and people who don’t think outlets, whose target audience is 13-17, should be promoting sex.

Disturbingly, the article is geared very much to their young readers, discussing how not everyone wants “p*nis-in-v*gina” sex. It also boasts that it is “an*l 101, for teens, beginners, and all inquisitive folk”

  1. If Japan gave a lowest birth rate , bring them this “refugees “ it’s plenty in Europe and Middle East or Africa, I’m sure they will be very happy NOT ..

      • I wonder how much pressure was exerted by the US State Department to force this deal through.

      • Germany made a deal decades ago to bring in workers from Turkey – temporarily, of course.
        Look where it brought them.

    • With AI, Japan may be in the catbird seat with a homogenized population, all on the same page. Diversity is destroying the rest of the West. The welfare rolls, crime, stupidity and general filth are rare in Japan as the rest of us become enveloped in it. South Korea’s on the right track, too, once we eradicate the Kim Clan for them.

If Red china can control its Moslems, it’ll be sitting pretty, too, compared to the mish-mash in Londonistan, Munich and Brooklyn.

      • Agree that, if current trends in the West do not moderate or reverse, our Asian friends will be the ones most able to carry forth the torch of civilization.

  4. The video on General Flynn is interesting, but the fact that all the participants are essentially Turkish in their political outlook (if not genetically) makes everything they say somewhat suspect. I don’t trust those commentators any more than I trust the mainstream news. I still have no idea what to believe when all you get for information sources is a bunch of weasels.
