Daylight Saving Time Causes Permanent Brain Damage, Strokes and Heart Attacks Study Reveals

Daylight saving currently pushes time forward an hour in spring, and pulls it back an hour in autumn, making sunrise later in summer and earlier in winter.

Europe has already decided to abolish the procedure in two years’ time but in the US whether to use it is decided on a state-by-state basis.

The researchers wrote: ‘Transitions to DST [daylight saving time] have documented detrimental associations with the brain, specifically ischemic stroke, with the risk of myocardial infarction [heart attack] and well-being also affected.

‘A lower quality of sleep, shorter sleep duration, and decreased psychomotor vigilance have also been reported.

‘Additional studies are needed to understand the causes of these detrimental effects and the role of sleep deprivation and circadian disruption.

‘Based on these data, we advocate for the elimination of transitions to DST.’

The team made their comments in an editorial article in the journal JAMA Neurology, which is published by the American Medical Association.

Demographic Jihad? Virginia Muslim Doctor Tied Women’s Tubes Without Their Consent

The details of this case are simply horrifying. One woman tried for years to conceive a child, but couldn’t. When she finally consulted a fertility specialist, she discovered, according to the Virginian-Pilot, that her “Fallopian tubes had been burned down to nubs, making it impossible to conceive naturally.” It turned out that her physician, Dr. Javaid Perwaiz of Chesapeake, Virginia, had tied her tubes without telling her was doing it or obtaining her consent. And she was by no means the only woman whom Dr. Perwaiz victimized in this way.

Dr. Perwaiz’s website is the soul of helpfulness, noting that he has “practiced in the Chesapeake region for over 30 years, providing expert and individualized care to his patients.”

Personally following each and every patient throughout their pregnancy, he is available 24/7 to meet all of your requests and expectations. His experienced office staff will individualize your care and coordinate your insurance coverage. They provide friendly and knowlegable service for all your healthcare needs. Same day appointments are often available.

About the good doctor we are told that he was “educated abroad,” with no hint as to where — it was actually in his native Pakistan, as the Virginian-Pilot notes: “Perwaiz has had a medical license since at least 1980, according to state records, having attended medical school in his native Pakistan and completed a residency at Charleston Area Medical Center.”

Ethiopian Beheads White Wife, Slits Daughter’s Throat, Then Commits Suicide in NYC

Yonathan Tedla killed wife Jennifer Schlecht and their daughter Abaynesh in a Harlem apartment, then killed himself. Tedla and Abaynesh are Eritrean or Ethiopian names.

Jennifer Schlecht was a white, American woman. How did a woman like that happen to marry an Ethiopian? Well, the NY Post says she was “a career humanitarian who fought to protect women and girls in poor, war-torn countries”. She apparently met him at Columbia University.

Harlem murder-suicide dad Yonathan Tedla warned he was ‘not going to lose’ divorce battle.

Apparently, before her death she realized her mistake and tried to escape.

Jennifer Schlecht, daughter Abaynesh and husband, Yonathan Tedla — were found dead in their apartment Wednesday night.

Greta’s Ginormous Mural Stirs Controversy Over Use of Spray Paints

A massive mural of the face of teen climate activist Greta Thunberg in downtown San Francisco makes its debut Tuesday — even as it stirs controversy.

The artist behind the 60-foot-tall by 30-foot-wide creation is Argentine muralist Andres Iglesias, who goes by the name Cobre and is known for his “hyper-realistic” portraits.

He agreed to work for free on the project, which is being sponsored by the environmental nonprofit One Atmosphere.

But Cobre was forced to go on the defensive after social media users began noting the irony of using spray paints — which they say harm the environment — to pay homage to the 16-year-old Thunberg, The Art Newspaper reported Sunday.

How Climate Activist Schwarzenegger Became a Box Office Disaster

Reporters have spent days detailing why Terminator: Dark Fate became the year’s most embarrassing flop.

Those reporters nailed some of the core reasons for its box office woes, from franchise fatigue to recycled story beats. Most missed another crucial factor.

The sad decline of Arnold Schwarzenegger, A-list movie star.

After five good sea ice seasons in a row for WH polar bears, this repeat of an early freeze-up means a sixth good ice season is now possible for 2019-2020.

Italy: Tramp ‘Torched Turin Royal Riding Stables’

Moroccan born in Spain, 38, rowed with other squatters

(ANSA) — Turin, November 8 — A 38-year-old homeless man born in Spain to a Moroccan family lit the fire that destroyed the UNESCO-listed former royal riding stables in Turin, the Cavallerizza Reale, on October 21, police said Friday.

The man has been arrested by Genoese police, on a warrant from Turin prosecutors.

He has been charged with attempting to cause a massacre.

The stables had been occupied by squatters for four years in the northwestern Italian city.

The squatters said they had been woken up and saved by police and fire fighters.

The alleged fire starter caused the blaze after a series of rows with other squatters, after police disconnected an illegal power line that was feeding the building.

The stables are part of the Residences of the Royal House of Savoy, which gained world heritage status from UNESCO in 1997.

This status was granted because of its special architectural features.

The blaze broke out shortly before 8am on the roof of the complex.

Four fire brigade squads rushed to the scene but were unable to prevent the building’s destruction..

Have Scientists Discovered Three New Species of Fish Key to the UAE’s Reefs?

Scientists believe they have discovered three potential new species of tiny, colourful fish that are the foundation to the UAE’s coral reefs.

The bottom-dwelling fish are so small as to be imperceptible and evaded previous surveys of Gulf reef fish, a conference at New York Abu Dhabi heard on Monday.

But the diminutive marine life, known as cryptobenthic fishes, are a diverse bunch that can account for up to 60 per cent of fish eaten in reefs.

Genetic testing will confirm whether new species have been identified. The study found an additional four species previously unseen in UAE waters.

France: ‘They’re Taking us for Fools’ Conservative Heavyweight Blasts Macron’s Migrant Quota Plan

Politician Roland Lescure, a member of M Macron’s La République en Marche (LREM) party, also tore into the migrant quota plan, telling the conservative weekly Le Journal du Dimanche that it was a “false good idea”. “It’s political corruption. America Under Massive Demonic Possession, Catholic Church Preparing for Exorcism War

There’s no doubt that America is beset by demons. You just need to watch five minutes of television to realize that.

What is surprising, however, is that the Catholic Church is actually doing something about it. Didn’t they get the memo that the Pope Satan doesn’t believe in hell, and thus presumably doesn’t believe in demons either?

Either way, the Catholic Church in America is apparently building up an army of “spiritual warriors” to fight off the demonic invasion.

They arrive with a crucifix, a book of prayers, holy water and a conviction that the Holy Spirit is at their side.

Noel Ignatiev, Scholar Who Called for Abolishing Whiteness, Dies at 78

Noel Ignatiev, a former steelworker who became a historian known for his work on race and class and his call to abolish “whiteness,” died at Banner-University Medical Center Tucson on Saturday. He was 78. The cause was an intestinal infarction, according to Kingsley Clarke, a longtime friend.

Ignatiev’s best-known book, “How the Irish Became White,” was immediately influential and controversial upon its publication in 1995. It touched off a firestorm of debate at the time at academic conferences and in the pages of newspapers. In time his view that whiteness is a social and political construction — and not a phenomenon with a biological basis — has become mainstream. The resurgence of white identity politics and white nationalism in recent years made Ignatiev’s arguments relevant to a new generation of readers who argued the notion that race is more about power and privilege rather than about ancestry, or even identity.

Telling the Whole Truth About ‘Average’ Global Temperature Rises

If you read the recent headlines about how Canada’s temperature is rising more than twice as fast as the average, you probably believed it, as I did at first, and concluded that Canada is facing a unique emergency.

But the same headline recently appeared for many other countries, all warming at twice the average: Australia, Finland, China, Sweden, Russia, Britain, all of Europe, Singapore and Japan.

How can all these countries be warming twice as fast as the average?

It brings to mind Garrison Keillor’s fictional Lake Wobegon, where “all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average.”

Surprisingly, these media stories are neither a joke nor a mistake. As I first learned from Prof. Ross McKitrick of the University of Guelph, they are a basically trivial fact, turned into a frightening story by deceptively vague language.

  1. Baron – As an aside, I am trying to track down an Australian writer whose basic theme was that as diversity of cultures and peoples increases in any given population diversity of thought must necessarily decrease to avoid conflict.

That is all I can remember about him but I am pretty sure it was here where I read about him. Do you know who I mean and do you have a name for him?

    Thanks.

  2. Islamic State “executes” priest?
    No.
Opening fire on a moving car is murder.
    Vocabulary matters.
(Memo for Dr.Thomas D. Williams, writing for Breitbart).

  3. Judge expresses her “abhorrence” at muslim children being provided with bacon.

Does she also express abhorrence at non-muslims being provided with halal meat?

You must see it! Police officers stop the Muslim violator and read him some order. I still didn’t understand what he was guilty of, because the whole sound was blocked by his cries of “Allahu Akbar” and “Inshallah”. Occasionally he inserts curses in Russian “scum” and promises the policeman “I will destroy you, with the permission of Allah”

  5. Personally, I think it’s impossible for there to be a bad Terminator (or Jurassic Park) movie but this one came close. Whatever Arnold did in politics or the “climate change” hysterics olympics have nothing to do with the quality of the movie. He just got nothing burger lines.

It’s a leaden script with none of the memorable humor of the first Terminator movie though Sarah Connor does have a great line on the matter of Arnold’s character’s weight. Possibly the only memorable line in the movie.

Point of fact, there’s little memorable dialog from anyone with that one exception. That’s not Arnold’s fault and his part is, by design, an incidental one as befits time having moved on and there being an obvious need for younger stars. But . . . basically it’s the usual implacable, unstoppable, genius killer robot from the future pursuing hapless humans. It’s one long stabfest and instant oblivion for any and all who entertain the insane idea of going mano a titanium mano with said robot. Not much else than that, just wall-to-wall special effects interspersed with the occasional snippet of plot line issuing forth from the humans’ mouths. And lots of “OMG. He’s found us again” moments.

The focus on special effects is one major defect, as I say. The other is that, surprise, surprise, this 21st-c. movie wishes to highlight female power and Hispanic wonderfulness. Anglo Mackenzie Davis does a good job as the enhanced human also from the future and is easy on the eyes you may be sure. The Hispanic heroine is, well, Hispanic and comely but she illustrates the director’s intention of shifting the story south down Mexico way. Not done in a stomach-churning way but clearly there was a subliminal message there to be internalized. Female, Hispanic power to the max.

There is a new zombie movie coming here soon and I DEFINITELY plan on seeing that bad boy.
