Bankrupt UN Running Out of Money by the End of the Month
The United Nations is running out of cash. With a deficit of $230 million, the organization may run out of money by the end of October, Secretary-General and former Portuguese Socialist prime-minister António Guterres warns.
Once again Socialists prove they are not very good managing other people’s money. There have been already some warnings by the UN secretary-general and former prime minister of Portugal that the organization was indeed in trouble. Last year, July 2018, headlines surged saying that the globalist institution was already in deep trouble. With a $139 million deficit by then, the secretary-general wrote: “An organization such as ours should not have to suffer repeated brushes with bankruptcy. But surely, the greater pain is felt by those we serve when we cannot, for want of modest funds, answer their call for help.”
Part of these financial difficulties were blamed on the United States. “The inefficiency and overspending of the United Nations are well known. We will no longer let the generosity of the American people be taken advantage of or remain unchecked,” said Nikki Haley in December, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations at the time, when the core budget was agreed.
Since then, things haven’t improved much for the United Nations.

AG Barr Reportedly Begins a Criminal Investigation Into the Origins of the Russia Probe
Attorney General William Barr has apparently begun treating a review of the Russia probe’s origins as a criminal investigation — sparking questions on whether President Donald Trump is using the Department of Justice to punish his enemies.
According to The New York Times, DOJ officials have shifted what was an administrative review of the Russia investigation to a criminal inquiry. That designation gives the prosecutor subpoena power, as well as the to file criminal charges.

Bette Midler Tweets Then Deletes Gratitude for Neighbor Who ‘Beat the Sh*t’ Out of Rand Paul
Singer and actress Bette Midler tweeted and later deleted praise for the Kentucky neighbor who attacked GOP Sen. Rand Paul in 2017, an assault so vicious it left Paul with broken bones and resulted in part of his lung being removed.
Attacker Rene Boucher still claims he had no political motive for brutally attacking the Republican Senator, but Midler did when offering her gratitude, and suggesting everyone be grateful, that Boucher “beat the shit” out of Paul.
“I DO NOT promote violence,” began the now-deleted Tweet, “but… Rand Paul says the Kurds are being ‘ingrates’ for taking their frustrations out on US troops. Which is a good reminder for us all to be more grateful for the neighbor who beat the s*** out of Rand Paul.”

Republicans have finally had enough.
On Wednesday, dozens of House Republicans made their anger known and protested the closed door impeachment proceeding Democrats were conducting, holding a press conference and delaying the proceeding until they were allowed in.
Now, on Thursday, the Senate is backing up the GOP in the House.
Senate Judiciary Chair Lindsey Graham and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced that they would be introducing a resolution today to condemn the House Democrats “illegitimate impeachment inquiry.”

The former CIA employee and National Security Agency contractor revealed he searched for information on aliens when he worked for the agencies.

Google Confirms ‘Quantum Supremacy’ — Completes 10,000 Year Calculation in 200 Seconds
While the breakthrough leaked last month, the company provided new details with the publication of a new article in the scientific journal, Nature.
The company says that their 54-qbit Sycamore processor was able to perform a calculation in 200 seconds which would have taken the world’s most powerful supercomputer 10,000 years.
Unsurprisingly, IBM, the company that operates the supercomputer that Google claims to have beaten, and a key quantum computer competitor, is disputing Google’s claims. In a blog post published pre-emptively on Monday, the company said that the same task could be performed on a classical system in just 2.5 days, rather than the 10,000 years that Google is claiming. IBM says that Google “failed to fully account for plentiful disk storage” when estimating how long its traditional supercomputer would take to perform the calculation. —The Verge

Most Americans Do Not Believe That This Chapter of American History is Going to End Well
This is a very difficult article for me to write. America is more divided today than it has ever been in my entire lifetime, and the very deep divisions that now exist are getting deeper with each passing day. In particular, the animosity between the political left and the political right has risen to an extremely frightening level. Instead of learning to love those that we disagree with, we are constantly being trained to absolutely loathe them, and the pot is constantly being stirred by the mainstream media and many of our national leaders. And as both sides go at it like cats and dogs, irreparable damage is being done to our political system. At this point, we are not too far away from a point where this country will not be governable by anyone. Our federal government has degenerated into a bad soap opera featuring an endless parade of insults, threats, petty stunts, scandals and investigations. All of this drama may be entertaining at times, but it is not any way to run a country.
And now all of the political strife and discord in this country has been given a focal point. I have repeatedly warned that Democrats should have never gone down the road of impeachment, because either way this process turns out it is going to be very bad for America.
If Trump is impeached by the House but protected by the Republicans in the Senate, the left is going to go absolutely ballistic.
But if Trump is impeached by the House and then removed from office by the Senate, the right is going to go absolutely ballistic.
Either way, this story is going to have a very negative end.
And even if Trump wasn’t in the White House, the seething hatred between the left and the right would still be there. In fact, things have gotten so bad that a new survey found that 67 percent of all Americans believe that we are “on the edge of civil war”…

The New York City Bar Association on Wednesday called for U.S. Attorney General William Barr to recuse himself from all Ukraine-related matters.
“If he fails to do so, he should resign or, failing that, be subject to sanctions, including possible removal, by Congress,” the statement said.
The NYC Bar said that since Bill Barr was mentioned in the transcript of Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, he should not be allowed to investigate anything related to Ukraine, including Crowdstrike and the Biden crime family.

Poll Finds 7 in 10 Believe America is Nearing Civil War
A new poll conducted by Georgetown University’s Institute of Politics and Public Service finds that 7 in 10 Americans believe the country is nearing civil war.
The survey found that 67% of Americans think the nation is on the way to such a scenario.
“The majority of Americans believe that we are two-thirds of the way to being on the edge of civil war. That to me is a very pessimistic place,” said Mo Elleithee, the executive director of the Institute.

The Appeal: Political Report has published a list of elections, filing deadlines, and voting dates to raise awareness for local elections for positions that are “responsible for setting a wide range of policies that impact detention conditions, incarceration rates, cooperation with ICE, and more.” The group is drawing special attention to populous counties where local elected officials will decide whether to participate in Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s 287(g) program, a Trump administration initiative to partner state and local law enforcement with ICE to enforce immigration law and deport illegal aliens.

Warren Campaign Office in New Hampshire Broken Into
MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) — Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s presidential campaign says its headquarters in Manchester, New Hampshire, was broken into, along with other offices in the same building.
Andrew Taverrite, Warren’s New Hampshire communications director, says in a statement that the break-in occurred Wednesday night and “we have no reason to believe this was targeted to the campaign or is anything further than a regular break-in.”

Washington Voters: Vote No on Referendum 88
Racial preferences are on the march again. Coast to coast, so to speak.
In Massachusetts, U.S. District Court Judge Allison Burroughs issued a peculiar decision in the case of Harvard’s race-conscious admissions policies. Essentially Judge Burroughs said that Harvard could continue on its merry way because it meant well. Capping Asian admissions was a small price to pay for the opportunity to boost the number of underqualified black students.
On the other coast, the legislature in Washington State recently overturned a thirty-year-old law banning racial preferences. This case has more twists and turns than the Snake River, but Heather Mac Donald has untwisted it here.
I’m going to add some additional straightening. Let me start with the immediate issue. Washington voters who oppose racial preferences should vote no on Referendum 88. Actually they should vote NO!!! or Hell No! but those aren’t options on the ballot. Budapest Newly Elected Leftist Mayor Invites George Soros Back to Hungary
The first action the new left-wing globalist mayor of Budapest has taken since being elected has been to allow George Soros’s Central European University (CEU) to stay in the Hungarian capital.
Last year, CEU had planned to move its degree programs to Vienna after the Hungarian government passed a law in 2017 that declared the university could no longer issue US diplomas alongside Hungarian ones.
On Sunday, Hungary’s opposition parties banded together in a coalition that managed defeated the Fidesz party in local elections across several cities, the most consequential of which was Hungary’s capital city, Budapest. Parties that have been ideologically opposed to one another in the past came together as one just to barely beat Viktor Orban’s party in several local elections.
Budapest’s former mayor Istvan Taros, of Viktor Orban’s Fidesz party, will be replaced by the green party’s Gregely Karacsony.
Karacsony has pledged to enact several changes in the Hungarian capital.
According to a report by the Financial Times, one of his top priorities is to ask George Soros’s Central European University to remain in Budapest.

European Leaders Expected to Grant Brexit ‘Flextension’ On Friday: Report
European leaders are expected to grant parliament’s request for a Brexit extension on Friday, breaking the pledge Prime Minister Boris Johnson made to Britons to take the UK out of the EU on October 31st.
On Wednesday, president of the European Council Donald Tusk advised leaders of member states, the EU27, to agree to an extension of Article 50. Mr Tusk suggested that it be a “flextension” notionally to January 31st, 2020, but which expires at the point the British parliament agrees to the withdrawal treaty.

Swedish Gov in Hot Water Over Program to Weed Out Islamophobia
Critics of Sweden’s priority to stop ‘Islamophobia’ have suggested that the government inadvertently runs Islamists’ errands, effectively providing them with a shield from criticism.
As part of its commitment to combat ‘racism’, the Swedish government has commissioned the Crime Prevention Council (Brå) to conduct an in-depth study of so-called Islamophobic hate crimes.
The idea behind the effort is to “highlight the nature of Islamophobic hate crimes” in order to bolster the preventive work “against racism, especially Islamophobia.”
“We know that Muslims are exposed to threats and hatred in our society. It is important to increase the knowledge of Islamophobic hate crimes so that we can take powerful action. The expressions of racism have no place in our society,” Equality Minister Åsa Lindhagen of the Green Party said.
Sweden’s left-of-the-centre “red-green” government has made stopping the allegedly increasing threat of “radical nationalism” one of its priorities.
According to the Security Police’s 2018 Yearbook, “xenophobic and nationalist ideas” are on the rise, contributing to a surge in hate crimes.
The security of so-called “vulnerable groups”, such as Muslims, must therefore be prioritised, the government said.
All in all, the government has allocated SEK 10 million (about $1 million) for anti-racist measures in 2020.

UK: Amidst Crime Wave, Extinction Rebellion Protests Have Cost Police £37 Million
The cost policing protests by Extinction Rebellion has cost London’s Metropolitan Police £37 million so far this year. The strain on manpower and resources has limited the police’s ability to effectively investigate other crimes, with some investigations being shut down altogether.

Police Question ‘Kuwaiti Joker’
Detectives identified a man whose pictures dressed up as ‘Joker’ circulated on social media recently, and apprehended him for questioning. Several pictures had went viral on social media recently showing a man dressed up as the main character of the ‘Joker’ movie roaming around streets of Kuwait. Detectives were notified to investigate the matter. The man, a social media celebrity, said during questioning that he admires the comic-book inspired character, and has taken many pictures of himself cosplaying as him, some of which he posted online. A Russian woman overcome by envy has been jailed for 13 years for the brutal murder of her 17-year-old model sister.
Elizaveta Dubrovina, 22, stabbed sibling Stefania at least 189 times, severing her right ear, a court in St Petersburg ruled.

Hong Kong Pro-Democracy Protesters Rally for Catalan Separatists
HONG KONG (Reuters) — Hundreds of Hong Kong protesters, some waving Catalan flags and banners urging “a fight for freedom together”, rallied in support of a separate Catalonia on Thursday, broaching an issue that is anathema to Hong Kong’s rulers in Beijing.

Japan: Mysterious Newly Discovered Virus Defies Evolution, Current Scientific Understanding
Scientists in Japan have discovered a new type of virus which could redefine our understanding of viruses and how they propagate and spread, all while sifting through pig feces.
Unlike most other organisms which fall under the definition of ‘life,’ viruses have no cells: they are merely a particle of genetic material (RNA or DNA) within a protein shield that is capable of infecting a cell before replicating.
While sifting through pig feces, as you do, researchers from the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT) came across a virus which defied everything we thought we knew about the infectious agents.
“The recombinant virus we found in this study has no structural proteins,” says virologist Tetsuya Mizutani from TUAT about the strain of a type of enterovirus G (EV-G) the team encountered. “This means the recombinant virus cannot make a viral particle.”

Pence Backs Hong Kong Protests in China Speech, Slams NBA and Nike
