Living Standards in France Stagnant for a Decade

Average living standards and inequality have remained stagnant in France for the past 10 years, a new report has said, with the average quality of life having slightly improved in the past 12 months.

Data from statistics agency the Institut National de la Statistique et des Études Économiques (Insee) found that half of French people now live on an income of more than €20,820 per year — a 0.4% rise compared to last year, including adjustment for inflation.

This equates to €1,735 per month for a single person, and €3,644 per month for a couple with two children.

These figures are just 0.8% higher than those recorded for the year 2008. This is compared to the years between 1996 and 2008, in which quality of life rose on average by 1.4% every year.

The report said: “Since the economic crisis, the average quality of life has seen a period of quasi-stagnation for an unprecedented time.”

Backlash as Congresswoman Drops Support for Bill to Protect Palestinian Children

Arab-American advocates demand answers from Debbie Dingell, who represents large Arab community in Michigan

Dingell said after speaking to people in her community, she felt that the bill was “ultimately counterproductive to a peaceful, two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict”.

The legislation’s backers say the resolution simply aims to stop US taxpayers’ dollars from aiding in the imprisonment of as many as 700 Palestinian minors annually…

Dingell has been a fierce opponent of Trump’s Muslim ban, and recently she was vocal against an anti-Muslim event planned near Detroit.

But Abuznaid said opposing Islamophobia at home is not sufficient.

“It’s not enough to stand against US-based Islamophobia because Islamophobia is a world-wide phenomenon,” he said.

[Comment: So, “Islamaphobia” is a world wide problem. What could possibly be the reason for causing this “fear” response?]

Gallup Poll: 83% Say Mental Health to Blame for Mass Shootings

Not buying the Democrat narrative

A new Gallup poll has found that 83% of voters in the US believe the blame for most mass shootings can be pinned on a “failure in our mental health system”.

That reasoning was the most popular choice among a list of potential factors voters feel are to blame “a great deal” or “a fair amount”.

The second highest factor was “the spread of extremist viewpoints on the internet,” with 79 percent agreeing it spurs mass shooters.

Gun Sales Surge After Democrats Demand Buybacks & Confiscation

August gun sales were up 15% thanks to Democrats’ totalitarian demands for mandatory buybacks. Those who bought guns were Americans seeking self-protection and with deep concerns that President Donald Trump is on board with gun control.

According to the Washington Examiner, the overall number of background checks recorded in the National Instant Criminal Background Check System surged 15.5%. Those numbers were courtesy of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF). That figure includes background checks done for security, concealed carry permits, and gun sales and was the highest August number ever recorded.

Adjusted for sales, the NSSF industry group said that August FBI background checks for sales surged 15.2% over August 2018. The adjusted August number was second only to August 2016 during the heated presidential election. It’s become evident that gun control authoritarians are the best gun salespeople on the planet.

Has America Become One of the Most Evil Nations on the Entire Planet?

How will history remember us? As Americans, we like to think that we are a light to the world and that other countries should be using us as a model for how to properly do things. But the truth is that we have become unspeakably evil, and after reading this entire article I doubt that there will be anyone that will disagree with me. And while it is certainly true that there are quite a few other nations that are also tremendously evil, none have fallen harder or faster then we have. At one time America truly was “the hope of the world” , but now just about every form of wickedness that you can possibly imagine is exploding all around us, and very few of our national leaders seem to care.

The first example that I would like to discuss is something that came out in court on Thursday…

The CEO of StemExpress essentially admitted in court Thursday that her biotech company supplies beating fetal hearts and intact fetal heads to medical researchers.

She also admitted at the preliminary hearing of David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt of the Center for Medical Progress that the baby’s head could be procured attached to the baby’s body or “could be torn away.”

This is Nazi-level evil, and it is happening all across the United States every single day.

Marianne Williamson: ‘What Does it Say That the Conservatives Are Nicer to Me?’

She and Biden are the only Democrats, politics aside, who seem like they’d be fun to hang out with. And if I had to pick one, Slow Joe would not make the cut.

Rep. Nunes to Comey: Our Referral Puts You in Danger of FISA Conspiracy Prosecution

In his interviews with One America News (OAN), NewsmaxTV, Fox News Channel and other news outlets, Rep. Devin Nunes R-California, who has had access to most of the evidence pertaining to the securing Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court warrants in order to spy on members of President Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign, said he didn’t want to discuss anything about Comey’s alleged role in Spygate.

But, Nunes did intimate that if federal prosecutors and investigators assigned by Attorney General William Barr to thoroughly probe Spygate gave the investigation a serious unbiased criminal process, there’s an abundance of proof available to place Comey in the center of the plot to oust a duly elected U.S. President through impeachment.

“So this is a guy who is definitely not telling the truth, and the good thing about the [Justice Department Inspector General’s] report is he’s now made himself, the IG has now made him eligible for a larger conspiracy charge—a criminal conspiracy charge—which is what we really hope the attorney general [U.S. attorney] out of Connecticut is able to do,” Nunes said in an interview with Breitbart News.

“That’s the big thing that we need. We need real charges brought. And I think a lot of people are frustrated because they feel like Comey leaked classified information. But the question is would a panel of jurors in Washington, D.C., [convict]?” he asked rhetorically.

Sorry Democrats and Never-Trumpers… Import Prices Are Down Despite Trump Tariffs!

President Trump has said for years that the US was hurt by politicians that didn’t protect US jobs. He decided to do something about and the US is winning because of it!

The far-left Washington Post wrote in August that President Trump’s tariffs will cost the average family hundreds of dollars a year —

More than a year into the U.S.-China trade war, American consumers are about to find themselves squarely in the crosshairs for the first time, with households estimated to face up to $1,000 in additional costs each year from tariffs, according to research from JPMorgan Chase.

Consumers, whose spending fuels about 70 percent of the U.S. economy, have been largely shielded from previous rounds of tariffs, which have left businesses reeling and upended global supply chains. But that’s about to change with the 10 percent levies on roughly $300 billion in Chinese imports, about a third of which will take effect Sept. 1. Those tariffs will primarily target consumer goods.

But it was just more fake news from the far left Washington Post.

Sorry liberals, Trump’s tariffs are having little to no impact on the cost of goods to the consumer.

Water Discovered in the Atmosphere of an Exoplanet in the Habitable Zone. It Might be Rain

Astronomers using the Hubble space telescope have discovered water in the atmosphere of an exoplanet in its star’s habitable zone. If confirmed, it will be the first time we’ve detected water—a critical ingredient for life as we know it—on an exoplanet. The water was detected as vapour in the atmosphere, but the temperature of the planet means it could sustain liquid water on its surface, if it’s rocky.

The planet is called K2-18b, and it’s about 110 light years away. The planet is much different than Earth. It’s a Super-Earth, and it’s twice as large as Earth, and about 8 times as massive. K2-18b is orbiting a red dwarf star, and it was first discovered in 2015 by the Kepler Space Telescope.

Activist Tommy Robinson Who Speaks Out Against the UK Rape-Gang Epidemic is Released From Prison

UK activist Tommy Robinson was sentenced to six months in prison in July for three counts of contempt of court.

He was sent back to prison immediately following the conclusion of the hearing.

TGP contributor Cassandra Fairbanks reported at the time that the sentence was highly unusual as contempt of court cases almost always lead to a non-custodial sentence — especially for journalists. Typically, a media outlet or journalist would face a slap on the wrist or light fine. Yet, one of the judges in the case, Dame Victoria Sharp, said that “nothing less than a custodial penalty would reflect the gravity” of the situation.

The judge admitted that they specifically wanted to make an example of Robinson.

On Friday Tommy Robinson was released from prison.

Italy: Forza Nuova: CasaPound to Sue Facebook Over Ban Say Leaders

Far-right groups’ accounts blocked by social media company

(ANSA) — Rome, September 11 — Far-right groups Forza Nuova (FN) and CasaPound said Wednesday they will file lawsuits against Facebook and Instagram for taking down their accounts for allegedly spreading hatred earlier this week.

FN will file a lawsuit for defamation and for limiting its freedom of expression, its leader Roberto Fiore said after the accountsw ere blocked on Monday.

Forza Nuova’s legal office said it is collecting all the requests for compensation presented by thousands of people whose accounts were blocked to file a class action law suit.

“The criminal trial will have the role of raising the political issue at the highest judicial level”, said Fiore.

CasaPound National President Gianluca Iannone said “we are ready for a class action” lawsuit against Facebook and Instagram.

He said CasaPound supporters were feeling “bereft”.

The official profiles of the two movements are no longer accessible, as well as those of many national, local and provincial chiefs including candidates elected in many Italian cities. CasaPound is a far-right movement based in Rome which has neo-Fascist sympathies; FN has also frequently gained headlines for apology of Fascism.

A Facebook spokesman earlier this week told ANSA that persons or organizations that “spread hatred or attack others on the basis of who they are will not have a place on Facebook and Instagram”.

Now this isn’t the kind of war you would imagine though, its not the French people finally rising up against the non-European invasion forces and fighting with the “authorities”, no on the contrary, this is a war started by the invaders against the authorities because they want more free gibs from the racist white devils of France.

Ohh how gone are the days of romantic France where you hold hands, ask your loved one to marry you, give her a French kiss and so on… now its a warzone.

Firefighters attacked with Molotov cocktails

Last Friday, French firefighters were violently attacked by a group of thugs in what was the second incident of its kind in less than two weeks.

While responding to an incident in the commune of Cavaillon, firefighters in the department of Vaucluse were lured to an area at around 11:45 pm after a group of suspects set fire to a garbage can. According to BMFT, once the firefighters had arrived at the scene, a group attacked them with petanque balls and Molotov cocktails.

Although none of the emergency service responders were injured during the attack, Commander David Durupt, the head of the Cavaillon Fire Department, said that the attack was deliberate.

“There was a clear intention to harm,” Durupt said.

“The trash was probably burned intentionally, the objective was clearly to attack the firefighters,” he added.

This year, violence in Cavaillon has risen by a shocking 23 percent broadcaster TF1 reported while adding that firefighters employed by the department of Vaucluse would, in the future, be escorted by police when responding to incidents in ‘sensitive’ no-go areas.

Caroline Glick: Israel and John Bolton’s Departure

US National Security Advisor John Bolton’s departure from the White House has been the source of considerable concern in Israel. For decades, the veteran diplomat and former UN ambassador has been among the most powerful supporters of a strong US-Israel alliance in Washington. During his tenure as President Donald Trump’s National Security Advisor, Bolton worked steadily on expanding US-Israel strategic ties across a wide spectrum of critical issues from Iran, to the Palestinians and beyond.

Israelis would have greeted the departure of their strong ally and friend with concern regardless of the circumstances. But, the fact that he was fired, (or by Bolton’s telling, felt compelled to resign), just days after Jason Greenblatt, Trump’s envoy for negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians resigned from his position and as reports proliferate that Trump is seriously considering reducing economic sanctions on Iran in the hopes of scoring a meeting with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani at the UN General Assembly later this month, intensified the concern.

Although reasonable on their face, Bolton’s termination needs to be seen in two wider contexts. The first context is the environment in Washington that confronted Bolton in his position.

From the day he took up his duties a year and a half ago as Trump’s third national security advisor, Bolton was under assault. The campaign against Bolton was initiated by the Iranian regime. Iranian Foreign Minister Jawad Zarif blamed poor US-Iran relations on Bolton, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman. Zarif’s campaign was quickly joined by Obama administration officials who took to the US media parroting the same allegations. The Iranians, by their telling were guileless lambs. The big bad wolves were Bolton, Bibi and bin Salman…

Netanyahu Denies Politico Report Israel Spying on the White House

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has flatly denied a report that his country was spying on the US.

A Politico article cites three former senior US officials who say Israel was likely to be behind surveillance devices found near the White House.

But a statement from Mr Netanyahu’s office said this was “a blatant lie”.

“There is a longstanding commitment, and a directive from the Israeli government not to engage in any intelligence operations in the US.”

Kuwait is NOT the Worst Place for Expats

The InterNations annual Expat Insider index for 2019 ranked Kuwait as the worst destination for expatriates for the second year in a row. The list saw Kuwait occupying the bottom spot after Italy, Nigeria, Brazil, Turkey, India, United Kingdom, Greece, Russia and South Korea. Actually, aside from Kuwait, I have lived in some of these countries as an Arab expat and those were the best times of my life, so I personally can’t believe any of what the survey says no matter what criteria they used.

This organization placed Kuwait among the worst destinations for expatriates from 2014 to 2016. It was the second worst destination for expatriates in 2017 before going down to the bottom in 2018 and 2019. This article does not aim to argue if Kuwait is the worst location for expats to live or not, because clearly, the decision has already been made regardless of the causes. But I would like to raise a few points and hopefully those who are behind the survey will take these into account next year.

Now, I wonder how this conclusion was reached. The questionnaire asked participants to assess where they live based on several factors such as well-being, ease of adaptation, family life, work, financial matters, cost of living and others. Bahrain topped the list of the best Arab destinations for expatriates, ranking seventh in the world, while Taiwan was named the best destination for expats in 2019. The report did not mention the classification of Saudi Arabia. I wonder why.

According to the report, Kuwait ranked last in “ease of settling in” and “quality of life”, with an improvement in the level of “personal finance”. It was also placed last for “leisure options” and “personal happiness”, and in the penultimate place on the index of “travel and mobility”, while ranked as the third worst country in terms of “health and well-being”.

The current population of Kuwait is around 4 million. Expatriates account for about 70 percent of Kuwait’s population, including 1.1 million Arab expatriates and 1.4 million Asians. There are expats who have been living in Kuwait for more than 50 years, so I wonder if the survey took into account the years of expats living in Kuwait. I think they should, because surely those expats would not stay that long if Kuwait is the worst destination for expats!…

Cuban Who Windsurfed for 90 Miles to Escape Socialism Warns America

Young Americans Against Socialism is a nonpartisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to exposing the failures of Socialism to young Americans by creating viral educational videos for social media, like this one with Ray, who tells his story about fleeing Cuba by windsurfing for 10 hours before being caught by the US Coast Guard, just off the coast of Florida.

He says, “Socialism ruins people’s lives. I can’t believe there are Americans that want that for us. Here’s the thing: Socialism looks beautiful in a book — and it might even seem good for the first year or so, while you start implementing it, but then things start rotting…

“We hit rock bottom. There was almost nothing to go buy in Cuba. We were having 16 hours of blackout every day. So with no electricity, you don’t have a fan, just to cool off. I mean, think about the summer in Cuba! No propane to cook with, no food. An island surrounded by sea, not even table salt!

“This is one memory that sticks with me the most — the only thing we had to eat for months was potatoes. Just plain potatoes — but there was nothing to cook with — there was nothing to boil that potato with. These memories scored my brain: my mom breaking down furniture to make fire. We were destroying our own furniture to boil potatoes!

“In Cuba, eating a lobster is illegal. You go diving, you grab one lobster, you can get six years in jail! And it gets worse: If you sell it, you’re a trafficker, now! If you cook it and put it an underground restaurant, it’s even worse. But the government gets them by the boat — by the ton.

“All the policemen in Cuba were living way better than us. All the government, don’t even mention it. Way better. The elite — they live in a bubble. That’s Socialism for you.

“My family is made up of mechanical engineers, social engineers, lawyers and stuff — and we were living through that! Does that tell you something? It’s not your fault, as a family. You did the best for yourself. You educated yourself and you’re burning your own furniture!

“Trying to understand Cuba is like trying to understand Alice in Wonderland. You could not understand Wonderland, because nothing made sense!

“One day, I’d had enough. I got my windsurfing equipment, went to a very isolated side of the city, with a straight shot to the ocean, away from the bay and I took off. And I remember reaching the conclusion — and this is the messed-up part. If you want Socialism, you should wonder about this: Wonder why I reached the conclusion that dying there would be even better than to ever be back [in Cuba]; why I reached the conclusion that I would take the decision to put my head under the water and take three deep breaths of water and would die by drowning with a big smile on my face — because, I knew I was free. This is the first time in my life I [would be] free…

Mark Hecht: Ethnic Diversity Harms a Country’s Social Trust, Economic Well-Being, Argues Instructor

Sometimes they get too much publicity, but can you blame them? The Danes just seem to get things right. But even the Danes can make mistakes. A decade ago the fundamental belief among Danes toward Muslim immigrants was that these newcomers would see how wonderful Denmark was and naturally want to become Danish as quickly as possible.

This turned out to be naively wrong. At least half of all Muslims polled across various western European countries believe today that their Shariah law is more important than national law, according to the Gatestone Institute. In other words, a not insignificant proportion of Muslim immigrants have no intention of assimilating into any western society, including Denmark.

Danes have pushed back. Losing the integrity of their society — one of the best in the world by all measures — was on the line. Requirements to obtain citizenship increased. A new insistence that immigrant children go to Danish public schools instead of religious schools was implemented. Social benefits were rescinded for those who didn’t comply. This was only the beginning. But the Danes are not alone.

Many western nations assumed that increasing ethnic and cultural diversity through immigration would be beneficial. The dogma of diversity, tolerance and inclusion assumed that all members of the society wanted to be included as equal citizens. Yet, instead of diversity being a blessing, many found that they’ve ended up with a lot of arrogant people living in their countries with no intention of letting go of their previous cultures, animosities, preferences, and pretensions.

So-called “conservative” NRO columnist David French says that Drag Queen Story Hour is “one of the blessings of liberty.”

Yes, really.

He then went on to run defense for Drag Queen Story Hour, a nationwide event where cross dressers read stories and dance around in front of children as young as 3 in public libraries and schools.

Dutch Court Clears Doctor in Landmark Euthanasia Trial

A Dutch doctor was acquitted Wednesday in a landmark trial that prosecutors and physicians hope will help clarify how the country’s 2002 euthanasia law can be applied to people with severe dementia.

The doctor, who was not named in court, was cleared of any wrongdoing in carrying out euthanasia three years ago on a 74-year-old woman. The patient was given fatal doses of drugs despite some indications she might have changed her mind since declaring in writing that she wanted euthanasia.

The Cure for Confused Male/Female Relationships

Democrats’ insidiously evil game-plan is to keep their constituents on the government dependency plantation.

A happily married female relative told me about five of her middle-aged girlfriends who are looking for husbands. She said they probably will not be successful because they are domineering women who refuse to respect a man.

A gentleman said he asked his wife to prepare him a plate of food from the buffet which she did happily. A radical feminist scolded his wife, “Why did you do that? There is nothing wrong with his feet and hands!” The gentleman told the bitter woman to stay out of their relationship.

A young female relative cornered me at the dessert table. She ranted about how her dating pool is filled with boys rather than real men like her dad. “I am so tired of wearing the pants in every relationship. I would gladly take off the pants and hand them over to a real man. I’ll even cut the pants off, turning them into shorts if it will make him feel better. I just want a responsible adult male that I can respect and depend on”…

Progressive schools, radical feminists and Hollywood have absurdly taught young women that gender equality means they must reject their femininity and physically compete with men. Several ridiculous movies feature 100 pound women beating the crap out of 300 pound men. The absurd message is men and women are the same.

The Leftist Mission of Destruction Must Fail

At one time, San Francisco was one of the seven most beautiful cities on earth. Visiting that onetime shining city on a hill as a young lad with my family was a most treasured affair. Although it was during the month of August, the weather was perfectly comfortable and pleasant. Everywhere was just beautiful and clean. It was a pleasure walking in the parks, on the streets, in the neighborhoods, or in the downtown district. The thing that stood out to me was the city’s cleanliness and the pride the people had in their lovely city by the bay. I truly left my young heart in San Francisco. That is why the planned destruction of San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, Portland, Oregon and my favorite city New York is especially disheartening. The political, immoral/religious, and economic leftists have for decades devised and acted upon ways to bring about a multifaceted destruction of our beloved republic.

Their destructive mission of cities is not limited to the major coastal metropolises. Great cities referred to by the leftist elites as flyover country such as Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Detroit were dethroned by American leftist policies from their position as the world’s greatest concentration of manufacturing prowess. Rather than pursue or expand on the good economic free market policies that made Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Detroit the manufacturing floor of the world, both the local and federal governments literally trashed those cities. Then unsavory leftist city politicians literally fooled gullible voters to accept economy crippling regulations and record high taxes as a way to further improve their quality of life.

In addition, leftists were then joined by foolish republican conservatives and together they put the United States at a huge disadvantage by signing on to international trade agreements like NAFTA and GATT. Both gave international trading competitor nations complete advantage over the United States as places to manufacture goods ranging from steel, televisions, watches, clothing, computers, shoes, etc., etc. At the same time, the leftists seized complete control of our education system, where many Americans, particularly blacks were indoctrinated into believing they were nothing but victims. Thus, blacks were convinced they had no chance to make a good go of it in the United States, particularly if you were a young black male. This was part of the overall strategy of dividing Americans one against the other.

Video: Los Angelenos Can’t Tell if Paintings Were Done by Artist or 2-Year-Old

A video shows people in Los Angeles being unable to tell if paintings were created by an artist or a 2-year-old, once again underscoring how most modern art is pretentious, unskilled crap.

Will Witt, Dennis Prager and some children created several “paintings” consisting of little else but random splodges and none of the respondents could tell which ones were created by the kids.

Most of the people reacted by attempting to decipher meaning out of something completely meaningless, presumably in an effort to not appear uncultured or ignorant.

9 thoughts on “Gates of Vienna News Feed 9/13/2019

  1. I once wrote in the comments that in the Russian common people there is a noir genre of “sadistic poems.” I wonder if there is such a genre in Sweden?

    Маленький мальчик гранату нашел,
    В сумку засунул и в школу пошел.
К школе напрасно спешили врачи –
    От школы остались одни кирпичи.

The little boy found a grenade
I put it in his bag and went to school.
Doctors hurried to school in vain –
From the school there were only bricks.

  2. Wonderful news that Tommy is out of prison and judging by Ezra’s video, he’s none the worse for wear.

I wonder if it’s possible (or desirable) for Tommy to get involved in the Brexit fiasco in the coming months. Writing from the USA, I don’t have a good handle on UK Politics but it looks to be at least as corrupt as what we have going on over here.

I know that Tommy is considered persona non grata by many, including Farage and I assume Boris. But you’d think these two leaders would be savvy enough to bring Tommy into the fold and make him part of the battle. If nothing else, Tommy is a FIGHTER who fears NO ONE. He is a True Believer if there ever was one, a knight in shining armor to many. He is already doing their dirty work as it is- why not acknowledge Tommy and give him some credit?

I’ve been involved in politics for many years -locally, nationally, state-wide, you name it. I have watched and learned from the demonic Dems who ALWAYS stick together and who will work tirelessly to get themselves elected- even if it’s only a seat on the town board or school board. They understand how power works.

Boris and Nigel are too smart by half. They have shown disdain and a total lack of respect for Tommy Robinson and that is a HUGE mistake that might end up costing them Brexit. From where I’m sitting, it looks like the Remainer Opposition are like our Demonics- they stick together and never stop fighting for their Satanic goals.

Boris, Nigel and Tommy would be an unstoppable team and Tommy has shown he’s a seasoned street fighter who can rally the people. I hope and pray that Farage and Johnson will get their heads out of their as***s and do the right thing. Put aside their vanity for the sake of the people of the UK.

    • The MSM over here have turned Tommy Robinson into the devil incarnate. If Boris or Nigel even looked in his direction they would be finished. The media (the BBC, the press, etc.) would have a field day. Sadly many people believe everything they are told and are incapable of thinking for themselves or cannot be bothered to find out the truth. Bread and circuses as the Romans used to say.

  3. The chinks are merely reducing tariffs on the food they need because food inflation is going through the roof there with pigs dying everywhere and no soybeans..
Worse, they are buying that food from companies in the US they own themselves.
Trump should give them a taste of their own medicine and force the companies sold to US interests.
