A 24-year-old man named Connor Betts opened fire with a rifle in downtown Dayton, Ohio early this morning, killing nine people and wounding a number of others. Mr. Betts, despite wearing body armor, was rapidly shot dead by police. According to information derived from social media, the killer was a registered Democrat who hated President Trump and supported Elizabeth Warren.
In other news, a migrant-ferry vessel for the NGO Sea-Eye has given up on trying to run the blockade around Italian ports, and will land its “refugees” in Malta instead.

According to the New York Post, Saikat Chakrabarti — the architect behind AOC’s meteoric rise from bartender to ball-buster, is being investigated in connection with two political action committees he founded.
The two PACs being probed, Brand New Congress and Justice Democrats, were both set up by Chakrabarti to support progressive candidates across the country.
But they funneled more than $1 million in political donations into two private companies that Chakrabarti also incorporated and controlled, according to Federal Election Commission filings and a complaint filed in March with the regulatory agency.

Turns out the series of Facebook Live videos of a man holding an alligator with its jaw duct taped shut likely was a hoax. Police are questioning the validity of his story that he spotted the exotic reptile in the lagoon and fished it out.

Then Progressive Democrats altered the Constitution to allow the government to steal the fruits of labor of all citizens through income taxes that were imposed to pay the Federal Reserve banksters interest on every dollar they print.
In effect, Democrats imposed a user tax on the currency, and made it payable to foreign banksters. Now Democrats are trying to lead the masses into total bondage using climate scare tactics to promote the Green New Deal, which will result in carbon taxes, energy shortages, business failures and mass poverty. In fact, the best way to lead the masses into bondage is by forcing them into poverty and desperation, and the Green New Deal will do exactly that. George Soros Expands Influence Over US Politics
Billionaire financier George Soros is launching a super PAC ahead of the 2020 election and, at $5.1 million, he has already made the single biggest contribution so far this election cycle compared to any other megadonor.
Soros contributed $5.1 million to the new group, Democracy PAC, according to Paperwork filed with the Federal Election Commission.
Super PACs, which are officially known as “independent-expenditure only committees,” are not allowed to make contributions to specific parties or candidates. They may, however, support initiatives independently of campaigns and do so by engaging in unlimited political spending.
According to Politico, Soros was one of the Democratic Party’s biggest donors in the last presidential election, with the party’s candidates and causes receiving Soros-sourced financial support to the tune of over $20 million. Compared to the corresponding phase in the 2016 election season, Soros has in the 2020 cycle already doubled his donation amount.
A person familiar with Democracy PAC told Politico that Soros’s family members may also support the initiative with their cash. Soros’s son, Alexander Soros, has in recent years increasingly taken on the role of a Democratic megadonor.
The Hill reported that Soros does not plan to use Democracy PAC to set up an independent political group but instead intends to funnel funds to other organizations.

Kamala Just Threatened to Send Cops to Your Home to Confiscate Firearms.
LAS VEGAS — California Democratic Sen. Kamala Harris gave details about her gun control proposals in the wake of the deadly El Paso, Texas shooting after she addressed union members at the AFSCME forum at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas on Saturday.
When asked by the Washington Examiner if her plan would include legal gun owner databases or gun confiscation via law enforcement visits to residents who own banned firearms, she replied, “I’m actually prepared to take executive action to put in place rules that improve this situation.”
She continued, “I also have as part of my background and experience working on this issue, when I was attorney general [of California], and we put resources into allowing law enforcement to actually knock on the doors of people who were on two lists — a list where they had been found by a court to be a danger to themselves and others.

R. Kelly Remains Behind Bars After Pleading ‘Not Guilty’ To Sex Abuse Charges
Grammy-winning singer R. Kelly was arraigned in Brooklyn Federal Court on Friday and pleaded not guilty to federal sex trafficking charges.
With his live-in girlfriends and nearly two dozen supporters looking on in the packed courtroom, Magistrate Judge Steven L. Tiscione denied Kelly bail.

Schumer Calls for Amending First Amendment to Limit Political Speech
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D.-N.Y., has determined there is too much political speech in the United States coming from sources he cannot abide. So, he stood in front of the Supreme Court on Tuesday, along with Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin, D.-Ill., to announce he is backing Democratic New Mexico Sen. Tom Udall’s proposal to amend the First Amendment.
The First Amendment — as it now stands — includes 10 unambiguous words about freedom of speech.
“Congress,” it says, “shall make no law … abridging the freedom of speech.”
Schumer and Udall do not like this sweeping restraint on government power. There are speakers whose speech they want to abridge. The Bill of Rights — as correctly interpreted by the Supreme Court — stands in their way. So, they are seeking to change it.

Two U.S. Mass Shootings Within Hours Claim 29 Lives
Two mass shootings in the United States have claimed 29 lives within 24 hours and left dozens of others injured and hospitalized for treatment.
The first occurred in El Paso, Texas, where 20 people died in a shooting at an area Walmart store on a busy Saturday morning.

Three months ago, in Grenoble, the police were pursuing some young Arabs on a stolen motorcycle, who were accused of theft. While fleeing, they had an accident. Five days of mayhem began.
President Macron looks like an authoritarian leader when he faces the disgruntled poor. He never says he is sorry for those who have lost an eye or a hand or suffered irreversible brain damage from extreme police brutality. Instead, he asked the French parliament to pass a law that almost completely abolishes the right to protest, the presumption of innocence and that allows the arrest of anyone, anywhere, even without cause. The law was passed.
In June, the French parliament passed another law, severely punishing anyone who says or writes something that might contain “hate speech”. The law is so vague that an American legal scholar, Jonathan Turley, felt compelled to react. “France has now become one of the biggest international threats to freedom of speech”, he wrote.
Macron does not appear authoritarian, however, with violent anarchists. When facing young Arabs and illegal migrants, he looks positively weak.
Macron also knows what former President François Hollande said after serving his term as president: “France is on the verge of partition”.
Macron knows that the partition of France already exists. Most Arabs and Africans live in no-go zones, apart from the rest of the population, where they accept the presence of non-Arabs and non-Africans less and less. They do not definethemselves as French, except when they say that France will belong to them. Reports show that most seem filled with a deep rejection of France and Western civilization. An increasing number seem to place their religion above their citizenship; many seem radicalized and ready to fight.
Macron seems not to want to fight. Instead, he has chosen to appease them. He is single-mindedly pursuing his plans to institutionalize Islam in France. Three months ago, the Muslim Association for Islam of France (AMIF) was created. One branch will handle the cultural expansion of Islam and take charge of “the fight against anti-Muslim racism”. Another branch will be responsible for programs that train imams and build mosques. This autumn, a “Council of Imams of France” will be established. The main leaders of the AMIF are (or were until recently) membersof the Muslim Brotherhood, a movement designated as a terrorist organization in Egypt, Bahrain, Syria, Russia, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates — but not in France.

France’s ‘Flying Man’ Succeeds in Channel Crossing
French ‘flying man’ Franky Zapata has successfully crossed the Channel today on his jet-powered ‘flyboard’, on his second attempt at the feat.
Mr Zapata took off from Sangatte, near Calais (Pas-de-Calais, Hauts-de-France) at 5h17 French time today (Sunday August 4), and landed in St Margaret’s Bay, Dover, in England — a journey of 35.4 km.
The trip took around 23 minutes, with Mr Zapata managing to maintain an average speed of 160-170 kph, according to his own estimate.

French Police Monitor Potential Release of Extremist Antifa Leader
French police say they are monitoring the possible prison release of Antifa extremist Antonin Bernanos, fearing he could lead violent protests at the G7 in August.
Mr Bernanos was sentenced to five years in prison in September of 2017 for attacking a police car in Paris in 2016, although two years were suspended.
Police say they are monitoring his release, claiming that he is one of the few people able to organise and motivate large numbers of Antifa extremists in the far-left scene in Paris, Europe1 reports.

Sweden: Local Residents Tense After Shootings in Karlstad
Residents of the Swedish city of Karlstad have expressed concerns after the city saw two shootings in a two-night period, sending victims to the hospital with gunshot wounds.
The first shooting sent one individual to hospital after the shots came through a window into their apartment. One suspect was later arrested in connection with the shooting.

Swedish Policewoman Connected to Extremist Movement Calls for General Strike Over Climate
Policewoman Anna Ekstam wants the whole country go on mass strike — including the Police force. For 24 hours there will not be one single officer in duty to fight crime, she demands. Instead, their mission will be to save the climate. Ekstam is also connected to extremist movement Extinction Rebellion, which hardly does the Police’s job any easier.

Swedish Talk Show Shut Down by YouTube — Pressures From Government Suspected
For several years, the increasingly popular show SwebbTv has been up and running. Now all of a sudden, the show is shut down by Youtube, which SwebbTV has used as a platform for distribution. All SwebbTv’s programs have been deleted without any further explanation.
“We have criticised politics in questions that involve climate alarms, mass immigration, family and gender issues. We have never received any significant criticism against our programs and we have been reaching out to as many as 1,000,000 of Swedes”, says Mikael Willgert, editor in chief, in a statement.

UK: ‘Dangerous Killer’ Escapes Psychiatric Ward as Police Launch Manhunt
A KILLER has escaped a Cambridgeshire psychiatric hospital sparking a police manhunt.
Peter Atkins, 66, escaped from Kneesworth House Hospital in Bassingbourn.
Police have warned the public not to approach him under any circumstances.
In 2001 he killed his pregnant daughter’s husband, Stephen Provoost, 32, reports Cambridgeshire Live.
The attacked was called “mind-chilling” by Judge John Griffith Williams.
But he suffered paranoid schizophrenia and was given an indefinite hospital order under the Mental Health Act

UK: “Anti-Semitic Incidents Reach an All Time High”
A newly released report has revealed a considerable increase in anti-Semitism across the United Kingdom during the first half of this year.
According to a report by Community Security Trust (CST), a charity organization that monitors antisemitism in the UK, 892 anti-Semitic incidents were recorded in the first half of 2019, marking an increase of 10 percent compared to the same period last year.
The months of February and March saw the highest number of incidents, with 182 and 169 respectively.

UK: Manchester Arena Bomber’s Brother Gets Legal Aid While Victims’ Families Are Denied
THE brother of the Manchester Arena bomber Salman Abedi has been granted legal aid, while the victims’ families continue to be denied help from the state.
Hashem Abedi, 22, who has been charged with murder, attempted murder and conspiracy, will be represented by lawyers funded by the taxpayer.
He denies the charges made against him.
Abedi’s depraved brother killed 22 people, including many children, at an Ariana Grande concert in May 2017.
But, the victims’ families were dealt a crushing blow after it emerged at a pre-inquest hearing that they would be denied legal aid.
It is understood that Abedi’s legal bill will end up setting back taxpayers some hundreds of thousands of pounds.

The Latest UN Horror Show: Christian Refugees Ignored
Since the 2014 invasion and genocide by the Islamic State (ISIS) in Iraq, at least 16,000 Assyrian Christians from Iraq have become refugees in Jordan. Most are still suffering economically and psychologically there, under extremely difficult circumstances.
These Assyrian Christians are in Jordan on a temporary basis with plans to emigrate to a third country. However, as they have not been given official work permits by the Jordanian government, they largely rely on their savings, remittances sent by relatives abroad or aid from charity organizations and churches. Jordan is supposed to be their transit country; they are seeking resettlement in other countries via the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Australian Special Humanitarian Program.

20 Killed, Dozens Injured in El Paso Shooting
Twenty people were killed and 26 others were wounded after a gunman went on a rampage Saturday at a Walmart in the Texas border town of El Paso, police said. A 21-year-old man was taken into custody after police responded within six minutes to a report of an active shooter near the Cielo Vista Mall.
The suspect, who was captured on surveillance video entering the Walmart, has been identified as 21-year-old Patrick Crusius, CBS News has confirmed. Sergeant Robert Gomez, a police spokesman, said the suspect was taken into custody “without incident” and there was no longer danger to the public.
Police Chief Greg Allen referenced a document allegedly left behind by the suspect. He said the shooting may have a “nexus” to a hate crime but declined to elaborate. He said police are considering capital murder charges.
Gomez said he thinks most of the victims were shot at the Walmart in the shopping complex. He said the store was packed with as many as 3,000 people during the busy back-to-school shopping season.
Earlier, El Paso police tweeted they had received reports of “multiple shooters” but they later said they did not believe there was more than one gunman. Police also said reports of a shooting at another location were “false.”

Almost 40 Migrants Intercepted Around Kent and Sussex
Almost 40 migrants were intercepted off the Kent and Sussex coasts, trying to cross the English Channel.
Twenty people were found around Dungeness by Border Force officials, after arriving in a dinghy, on Saturday.
In a second incident the force’s cutter intercepted a small boat in the Channel, and brought 11 men to Dover.
Another six migrants, including three children, were found by police on the Sussex coast.
All 37 migrants presented themselves as Iraqi and Iranian nationals.

Math Prof Who Argues Against ‘Truths and Knowledge’ To Host Carleton College Convocation
A University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign professor who argues for a “movement against objects, truths, and knowledge” will be leading a confab at Minnesota’s Carleton College this October.
Carleton’s convocation series, described as “a shared campus experience that brings students, faculty, and staff together for […] a lecture or presentation from specialists in a variety of disciplines,” have “a rich history” dating back to the early 1940s.
Rochelle Gutiérrez, who teaches mathematics instruction and Latino/a studies, gained notoriety a year ago via a presentation she gave at a mathematics conference in India. The description of that talk, “Mathematx: Towards a way of Being,” states
The relationship between humans, mathematics, and the planet has been one steeped too long in domination and destruction […] Drawing upon Indigenous worldviews to reconceptualize what mathematics is and how it is practiced, I argue for a movement against objects, truths, and knowledge towards a way of being in the world that is guided by first principles—mathematx.
For Professor Gutiérrez, math should be a “moral,” rather than a “rational,” issue.
According to her convocation description, Gutiérrez “demonstrates how mathematics perpetuates white privilege, and how evaluations of math skills can perpetuate discrimination against minorities”:
The way our economy places a premium on mathematics skills also gives a form of unearned privilege for math professors, who are disproportionately white. The solution, Gutiérrez contends, goes beyond closing the achievement gap or recruiting more diverse students into the mathematical sciences. Mathematics teachers need to be prepared with much more than just content knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, or knowledge of diverse students if they are going to be successful. They must become more aware of the politics that mathematics brings to society.
Gutiérrez garners a somewhat dismal RateMyProfessors rating (2.5 out of 5.0) with negative remarks ranging from “Social Justice NIGHTMARE” and “Free thinking is not encouraged” to “I was quite embarrassed that I shared the same intellectual space with someone who is confused about math.”
The professor has taught courses such as “Sociopol Persp Math Science” (presumably “Sociopolitical Perspective in Math and Science”) which “provides an overview of sociopolitical perspectives on mathematics and science education, including how issues of identity, power, and equity,” and “Social Justice School & Society” which “examines the nature of justice and the dynamics of a pluralistic society to derive a conception of social justice” in schools.

UK: Green Party’s Brighton Littered With Laughing Gas Canisters and Trash After LGBT Pride

Russians “mostly of Chechen descent” had a fight with football fans in Poland
About 20 Russian citizens were detained in the Polish city of Krakow due to a brawl with local football fans. On Monday, August 5, reports the Polish radio station RMF FM.
According to her, the incident occurred in a parking lot near one of Krakow’s shopping centers.
It is noted that the detainees carried weapons, as well as other dangerous objects and drugs. According to preliminary data, the cause of the conflict is related to trade in the city market, including the illegal trade in cigarettes.
