Facebook banned The Epoch Times from future advertising on its platform after reports showed the media outlet broke the company’s rules when it allegedly used sock puppet accounts to purchase pro-Trump ads.
The move came after an Aug. 20 NBC report suggested the outlet shifted its spending recently to conceal $2 million of ads that promoted President Donald Trump. Feds Execute Raids on UAW Leaders in Four States, Seize Cash and Files
Detroit — Federal agents expanded an investigation of corruption within the U.S. auto industry Wednesday by raiding locations in four states, including the suburban Detroit home of United Auto Workers President Gary Jones and the California home of former President Dennis Williams, sources told The Detroit News.
The four-year federal investigation into bribes, kickbacks and attempts by auto executives to influence labor negotiations with the UAW has led to charges against nine people and prison sentences for eight figures linked to the UAW and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV.

New Bluetooth Vulnerability Lets Attackers Spy on Encrypted Connections
Over a billion Bluetooth-enabled devices, including smartphones, laptops, smart IoT devices, and industrial devices, have been found vulnerable to a high severity vulnerability that could allow attackers to spy on data transmitted between the two devices.
The vulnerability, assigned as CVE-2019-9506, resides in the way ‘encryption key negotiation protocol’ lets two Bluetooth BR/EDR devices choose an entropy value for encryption keys while pairing to secure their connection.
Referred to as the Key Negotiation of Bluetooth (KNOB) attack, the vulnerability could allow remote attackers in close proximity to targeted devices to intercept, monitor, or manipulate encrypted Bluetooth traffic between two paired devices.

British Government to Suspend Parliament for Five Weeks, Outraging Anti-Brexit Rebels
Boris Johnson’s government is activating the constitutional mechanism to suspend Parliament on Wednesday, a move which has outraged Remainers because it limits the amount of Parliamentary time available to them to sabotage Brexit taking place at the end of October.

Italy: Conte Called to Mattarella Thur After M5S-PD Deal
Di Maio deputy PM, Rousseau voting seen as hurdles
(ANSA) — Rome, August 28 — The anti-establishment 5-Star Movement (M5S) and the centre-left Democratic Party (PD) agreed Wednesday on outgoing and caretaker premier Giuseppe Conte heading up a new M5S-PD government — and Conte was therefore summoned by President Sergio Mattarella to the presidential palace at 9:30 Thursday to be given a mandate as premier-designate to formally find support for a new government.
M5S leader Luigi Di Maio said talks must now focus on the government programme, which PD leader Nicola Zingaretti said would feature fairer and greener policies.
Di Maio’s insistence on keeping the deputy premiership and the M5S’s plan to put the government to a vote on its online Rousseau platform are still controversial.
The Pd said the M5S could not have both the premiership, in Conte, and the deputy premiership.
Di Maio said after government crisis consultations with Mattarella that there was a deal with the PD for Conte to take up the reins again at the head of a new M5S-PD executive.
He said that the M5S would not “duck its commitments”.
Di Maio said “we feel guaranteed” by Conte “on the policies we want to implement”.
He said that left and right were “outdated” categories and the M5S was “post-ideological”.
On the new government, Di Maio said that programmes would come first, “ahead of names” for the various posts.
He said there had been “polemics” on his insistence on remaining deputy premier but stressed that former partner the nationalist League party had offered him the premiership in exchange for a renewed government pact.
Di Maio said Us President Donald Trump’s support for Conte, voiced Tuesday, showed that “the path is the right one”.
He said it had been thanks to him that Conte, a professional lawyer and academic with no political experience, had become premier at the head of the 14-month populist M5S-League government.
Earlier the PD said yes to a government with the M5S under outgoing premier Conte, the so-called ‘Conte #2’, that would be a “new challenge” and usher in fairer, greener and more redistributive policies.
PD leader Nicola Zingaretti said after consultations with Mattarella that the PD had agreed to the M5S naming lawyer Conte as next premier.
Zingaretti said that the PD thought Italy needed a government that would mark “a turning point and discontinuity” with the last populist government.
He said that the new government would not take up the baton from the previous 5-Star-League administration, and would start a “fresh challenge”.
The new government would hopefully usher in a “new season, civil, social and political”.
He said the economic recipe would be “redistributive and green”.

It’s Official: Suspension of UK Parliament Approved by Queen Elizabeth II
The longest-standing Parliament in modern British political history will come to an end in September, a decision which has outraged anti-democracy politicians in the United Kingdom because it gives them less time to plot against the Brexit process.
Parliament will be suspended on a date between Monday 9th and Thursday 12th of September, and will return on October 14th, just 15 days before the official Brexit date on which the United Kingdom is due to leave the European Union. Over the past several days, Israel has attempted to prevent attacks by Iranian forces and their allies by striking targets in Syria, Gaza, Lebanon and Iraq. As you will see below, political leaders in both Lebanon and Iraq are now accusing Israel of a “declaration of war”, and Hezbollah is pledging to strike Israel back extremely hard. Of course if a full-blown war erupts between Israel and one of her neighbors, it is likely to become a multi-front war almost immediately. But at the core, this is a conflict between Israel and Iran. The Iranians have repeatedly pledged to wipe the nation of Israel off the face of the planet, and the coming “final war” is going to literally be a matter of life or death for those two nations. Both sides have been preparing for this “final war” for a very long time, and once it fully erupts the death and destruction that we will witness will be off the charts.

Jihadi Judge of an Indian Court Allegedly Calls to Shoot Hindus Under His Protection
“Shoot them (Hindus)… don’t be scared, they don’t have that much capability. I will take care”: Muslim judge in a Haryana open court.
Upendra Bharti | HENB | Chandigarh | Aug 29, 2019:: A group of lawyers practicing in Haryana’s Charkhi Dadri district court in Bhiwani District have made a stunning allegation against Additional District and Sessions Judge Sh. Fakhruddin. In a letter+ written to the District Bar Association, the lawyers alleged that Judge Fakhruddin incited religiously-motivated violence in the court on 20 August 2019.
The lawyers were present during the hearing of case title ‘State vs Parvinder Fauji’ related to FIR 111/2018 & 566/2017, both FIRs registered under IPC Section 365 (kidnapping and wrongful confinement), Section 379B (theft). Both complainant and the witnesses in the case were Muslims from Bulandshahr Uttar Pradesh.
After the witnesses turned hostile, the judge first asked the lawyers representing the defendant to fork up Rs 1,000 to each of the witnesses in the case, as ‘compensation’ for their travel & other costs incurred in appearing for the hearing. The judge threatened the lawyers that if they didn’t pay the money, he would start proceedings against them.
Then the Jihadi judge addressed the complainant & witnesses, admonished them by using an expletive and said that they were a blot on the Muslim community for coming to the court after getting beaten. He told them they had ashamed all Muslims, and asked why they didn’t shoot their assailants.
As per the letter, Judge Fakhruddin added, “Next time you come here, carry a pistol and shoot them. I am sitting here and will take care of everything. You don’t need to be scared of these people (Hindus), they don’t have that much aukaat (capability).”
The lawyers who wrote the letter requested the President of District Bar Association to have their pending cases transferred out of Judge Fakhruddin’s court as they have no hope of justice there…

Martial Law Considered in Hong Kong to Crush Pro-Democracy Protests
Authorities in Hong Kong are considering whether to impose draconian martial law powers in a bid to crush pro-democracy protests.
According to a report in the South China Morning Post, Chief Executive Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor is not ruling out invoking the Emergency Regulations Ordinance for the first time in half a century.
The ordinance would grant the government sweeping powers, including authorizing the entry and search of properties, censoring the media and imposing maximum terms of life imprisonment.

Wikipedia Editors Attack China Critic ‘Epoch Times’ After NBC Hit Piece
Following the NBC report, the Epoch Times Wikipedia page was updated with various attacks from the piece, including those smearing its Spygate coverage as conspiracy theories
After NBC News published a hit piece on news outlet the Epoch Times and its association with the Falun Gong, a spiritual movement persecuted by China’s government, the Wikipedia page for the outlet was vandalized and filled with attacks sourced to the piece. One editor involved has a history of attacking Falun Gong and defending Chinese communist figures such as Mao Zedong.
The editor also contacted an Antifa-supporting socialist editor with a similar history, which included downplaying the oppression of Uyghur Muslims in China’s Xinjiang province. Other Wikipedia articles associated with Falun Gong have also been subject to smears from Antifa-supporting editors.

Revealing the New Face of a 3.8-Million-Year-Old Early Human Ancestor
(CNN) — A “remarkably complete” skull belonging to an early human ancestor that lived 3.8 million years ago has been discovered in Ethiopia.
This is the first time a skull belonging to Australopithecus anamensis has been found and the discovery sheds light on the evolutionary history of early human ancestors.
Researchers have been working on the Woranso-Mille Paleoanthropological Research Project study in the Afar Regional State of Ethiopia for 15 years. On February 16, 2016, the upper jaw was discovered. They searched the area for more pieces over 16 hours and recovered the rest of the skull.
A detailed analysis of the skull and where it was found was published Wednesday in the journal Nature.

Four off-duty police officers were attacked by a group of ten to fifteen people of party Turkish origin last Saturday in Hamm, Westphalia.
The incident began after they were approached by a 19-year-old man who immediately recognized one of the officers from a past encounter. After the four off-duty policemen rejected the young man’s advances he disappeared. But shortly thereafter, the man returned with ten to fifteen others and attacked the police, according to Dortmund prosecutor Jörg Schulte-Göbel, Bild reports.
That’s when the attack ensued.

How the Left Gets the Statue of Liberty Poem Wrong
When the poem speaks of “wretched refuse”, they ignore the ironic tone and assume that the ideal immigrant is wretched refuse. Since the poem speaks of “poor” immigrants, they insist that the United States is obligated to take in not just immigrants who are currently poor, but intend to stay that way.
They believe (often without reading it) that the poem speaks of America’s obligation to the world.
But the poem isn’t an idealistic address to the world, but an ironic one to backward tyrannies. By cutting away the opening, “Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp”, the context and contrast between the “storied pomp” and “wretched refuse” is lost. Only “yearning to breathe free” still suggests that the poem is a dialogue between two different ways of life that is meant to demonstrate how liberty works.
America, The New Colossus is saying, was built by people who came here because they had no place in their old societies. Emma’s message was not that America was an evil imperialistic nation obligated to take in every migrant to atone for its sins, but that it was a free nation built by people who had escaped the “ancient lands” with their “storied pomp” and thrived in a land where they could “breathe free”.
Its point was not that America was obligated to take in “wretched refuse”, but that the people who were considered “wretched refuse” by the ruling classes of Europe, had made America into a great nation. The “wretched refuse” is Europe’s view of the waves of migration by English tenant farmers, Scotch and Irish laborers, German and Jewish refugees, Italian workers, and many others considered of no worth in their home ports. Because Europe considered its people “wretched refuse” and the other unflattering descriptors, its nations lacked the liberty that America had.

Italy: Salvini Signs Entry Ban for Mare Jonio
Coast Guard asks for safe port says NGO
(ANSA) — Rome, August 28 — Outgoing interior minister Matteo Salvini on Wednesday signed an order banning the Mare Jonio migrant rescue ship from entering Italian waters with its 100 rescued migrants. The order bans the Mare Jonio from entering, transiting or stopping in Italian waters, according to his closed ports policy for NGO rescue ships.
Mediterranea Saving Humans, the Italian NGO running the ship, said the Italian coast guard had asked Italian authorities for a safe port for the vessel.
Mediterranea Saving Humans said earlier on its request for instructions regarding the rescue of 98 migrants earlier in the morning by its Mare Ionio ship, that the Italian sea rescue coordination center had responded “as always” to speak to the Libyan authorities.
The NGO replied on its Facebook page that they could not speak to the forces of a country in a civil war, where there is torture and inhumane treatment, on the future of people rescued and now on an Italian-flagged ship whose safety had thus become their responsibility. The NGO added that they had reiterated their request to the Italian authorities for instructions that are compatible with the international Law of the Sea and human rights laws.
The Mare Jonio on Wednesday morning completed the rescue of the 98 people from a dinghy that had been drifting off Libya. Among those rescued are 26 women, at least 8 of whom are pregnant, 22 children under age 10 and at least 6 other minors.

Italy: Nigerian Migrant Breaks Police Officer’s Hand While Resisting Arrest
A Nigerian ‘asylum seeker’ has been arrested in Vicenza for dealing heroin and cocaine, resisting arrest, and causing injuries to a public official, Il Giornale Di Vicenza reports.
Last Friday when the police attempted to stop Clement Irabor, a 26-year-old migrant from Nigeria, for suspicious activity, he attempted to ride away on his bike. After police caught up to him and attempted to arrest him, Irabor became aggressive and violently kicked and bit at the police officers’ hands.

UK: Somali Immigrant Convicted of Gang Rape Says He’s Too Depressed to be Deported
Lawyers for a 30-year-old immigrant convicted of gang rape are arguing he is too depressed to be deported back to his home country of Somalia.
Yaqub Ahmed, a Somali who was granted refugee status in the United Kingdom, was convicted for the 2007 gang rape of a 16-year-old girl living in London. He served nine years in prison alongside three other men who took part in the brutal rape. Ahmed is due to be deported back to Somalia, but his lawyers claim that he is unable to return to his home country because he is feeling depressed and suicidal, according to the Sun.

Beto O’Rourke Supporters Boo Man for Urging America to Return to God
Supporters of Beto O’Rourke heckled a man at a campaign event who urged the former congressman to lead America back to more Christian values to reduce violence.
The man stood up and addressed O’Rourke at a town hall event at Seminar Brewing Company in Florence, South Carolina.
“I grew up with goals, I’m the son of immigrants, we prayed in school, the worst problem in school was chewing gum under the desks,” the man said.
“Boo!” shouted O’Rourke supporters when the man mentioned prayer in school and God.
“It’s 2019!” another supporter jeered.
“Nobody wants to hear you, give the mic back!” another supporter shouted.
But the man continued, “The only thing that can save America is the word ‘Jesus,’“ he said as the crowd of O’Rourke’s supporters grew angrier.
“Separation of church and state!” another supporter shouted. “Shut up! And go to church!” another person yelled.
“I appreciate your perspective sir,” O’Rourke said, as another supporter muttered, “I don’t.”
Although O’Rourke urged his supporters to let the man finish his statement, he admitted ruefully that it was “my bad for giving the mic out.”
O’Rourke argued that lower church attendance was not to blame for the rise of violence in America.

Dave Chappelle: One Rule of Hollywood is to Never Upset the Alphabet People
Veteran comedian Dave Chappelle continues to rile the left with his confrontational comedy, revealing in his latest Netflix special that Hollywood’s one “unwritten and unspoken rule” is “never” run afoul of the LGBTQ community.
Actor Isaiah Washington shared the Chappelle bit to his Twitter account late Tuesday. In the clip, Chappelle explains how he had been called on the carpet 15 years ago by standards and practices at Comedy Central. Chappelle was informed by network personnel that using the derogatory word “faggot” on-air was permitted but they had no problem at all when he used the word “nigger.”

Stare Deep Into the Crystal Ball and You’ll See Civil War
Make no mistake. America is headed for a civil war or revolution. It will take just the slightest whisper of conflict to set it off, unless the widening gap between the two sides is somehow bridged by cooler heads.
The causes of our irreconcilable differences grow by the day. All of the societal norms that created a harmonious society are breaking down before our eyes and we can’t seem to stop it. Our public schools and colleges have become instruments of indoctrination. Marriage is under attack. The nuclear family is under assault. The definitive line between male and female and their respective roles are being blurred such that now instead of two genders, we have multiple genders and indistinguishable roles. Simplicity is rejected, natural biology is ignored and confusion reigns as a result. Confusion about who we are leads to arguments, heated debates and many times violence. It also leads to crime, health problems, depression, sexual deviance, mental illness, substance abuse and even suicide. Fiscal negligence and political correctness are corrosive offshoots from that confusion.
But the destruction or perversion of societal norms is not all that leads to irreconcilable differences. Moving away from the foundation of our liberties is the prime reason for the widening gap on how America should be governed. Here, in a few lines, are two opposing descriptions of how government should operate, from totally different perspectives:

The principle refers to free access to and distribution of goods, capital and services [by government]. The foregoing statements are incompatible with each other and cannot co-exist peacefully together …. without war eventually developing between them.

Title X Noose Removed From the Hands of Planned Parenthood
Planned Parenthood announced Monday that it is pulling out of the Title X federal family planning program (for low-income Americans) rather than abide by a new Trump administration rule prohibiting participants from referring patients for abortions.
Pro-life groups heralded the abrupt decision as a major victory — and one that signaled that Planned Parenthood, contrary to its claims, is primarily a politically motivated abortion provider, not a healthcare organization.
I would add this appears to be evidence that the organization values a pro-abortion agenda more than it does the essential health-care services it provides to so many women and girls.
