Tinley had been hired by a US unit of Siemens, the German-based tech conglomerate, to create custom automated spreadsheets. The company used these spreadsheets to manage orders for electrical equipment.
Tinley planted “logic bombs” in the spreadsheets, the government alleged. Logic bombs are bits of malicious code that disrupt the program when specific conditions are met, like a specific time on a specific date.
In this case, the logic bombs were timed to go off every few years, the government alleged, causing the spreadsheet to experience glitches like error messages and size changes to on-screen buttons, according to a report from Law360.
When the program glitched, the company would bring Tinley back in to fix it. He fixed the system by pushing back the date the spreadsheets would stop working again, the government said.

First Coast Technical College raised eyebrows across the country when it suspended and banned a young mother from campus for posing with a gun at a gun range.

Do You Understand That Democrats Will Destroy America?
Unless you want to see the US economy and your standard of life destroyed, there is no alternative to voting for President Trump.
The policies that the Democrats are advocating will destroy the American economy, not just the stock market, but the whole US economy. My first instinct will be to raise cash ahead of the stock market crash, but even that is only a temporary safe harbor.
The Green New Deal, renewed regulations, Medicare for All, free college, as well as the 70-90% tax rates proposed by Democrats, will tank the stock market and US economic growth, leading to higher unemployment and reduced wage gains. All these programs require higher taxes and not just the soak the rich fantasy of the 70-90% rates. Most of the Democratic candidates have pledged to roll back the 2017 Republican tax cuts that fueled the renewal of economic growth in the US.
Open borders will flood the US with poverty stricken immigrants and their competition for jobs will depress wages. The social welfare needs of the immigrants will skyrocket government expenditures. So while taxes receipts are falling due to slower economic growth rates, expenditures will be rising, leading to increased government debt and consequently higher interest rates. If the Federal Reserve tries to keep interest rates low to prevent a deepening recession, then the increase in the money supply and the expanding deficit will eventually destroy the value of the dollar. So much for my safe harbor in cash.

The appointment of Boris Johnson as Britain’s new prime minister offers the serious prospect of a radical improvement in the bilateral ties between Washington and London following the froideur [chill] that came to define the transatlantic relationship under the outgoing prime minister, Theresa May.

French philosopher and writer Michel Onfray slammed Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg following her recent visit to the French parliament, labelling her a “cyborg”.

Report: The European Union’s Largest ‘Givers’ And ‘Takers’
One of the European Union’s primary issues is that not all of its member states contribute equally. This was one of the main factors which led Brits to leave the Union in 2016.
The question of which member states are paying more in EU contributions than they’re getting out has and will remain to be a contentious issue in the bloc.
The 2017 EU budget revealed that, in terms of direct monetary contributions, there were ten member states which were contributing more than they were getting from the EU.

ROME — Two American teens have confessed to the fatal stabbing of an Italian police officer in Rome, which occurred in the early hours of Friday.
The alleged murderer, 19-year-old Elder Finnegan Lee, and his accomplice, 18-year-old Christian Gabriel Natale Hjorth, were arrested shortly after the death of 35-year-old deputy sergeant Mario Cerciello Rega of the Carabinieri military police, and have been charged with aggravated homicide and attempted extortion.

Ecclesiastical sources of AsiaNews in the capital, following anonymity given the extreme delicacy of the issue, speak of a dual and contrasting sentiment around the letter sent by the pope to Assad. In general, the opinion of a “courageous enough letter” prevails which recalls the most important elements that have revolved around the conflict for years.
However, the source explains, the text “was not well understood in all its aspects among the ranks of the loyalists”, who read criticism of the Syrian president’s actions, particularly in recent months around the rebel stronghold of Idlib in the pontiff’s words. These words, continues the source of AsiaNews, “have been applauded by the opposition” [moreover, a fragmented and variegated galaxy, with profound differences within it and this is one of the reasons that hinder dialogue with the Syrian government in a perspective of peace ]. Anti-Assad groups seem to have found support in their criticism of the Syrian leader, considered the main obstacle to a path of reconciliation.
The opinion of activists and bloggers critical of foreign interference is different, including Syriana Analysis which has been active for a long time on social media to denounce violence and attacks against the population. The independent platform was launched in 2017 and is made up of independent journalists and intellectuals. There was no lack of criticism of the Pope’s letter in posts, which claimed that “instead of thanking Assad for the fight against Wahhabi terrorism” that “targets Christians in Syria and Iraq” asks for “an end to the catastrophe in Idlib”. Forgetting, however, the post concludes, to “blame Ankara, Brussels and Washington for their support for extremism”.

Benish Imran was kidnapped by a man who then forced her to embrace Islam. In court, she said she was 19 and had married of her own free will. The association that follows the case complains of dozens of similar episodes.
Lahore (AsiaNews/Agencies) — A 14-year-old Christian girl was recently abducted, forcibly converted to Islam and forced to marry a Muslim man. She then went before a judge and signed a statement in which she claims to have acted of her own free will.
Her father and the Centre for Legal Aid, Assistance and Settlement (CLAAS), an interdenominational organisation that offers free legal support to victims of religious intolerance, went public with the story, saying that the girl’s life has been threatened.
The girl, Benish Imran, went missing from home on 2 July, after she was kidnapped by Waheed Ahmed, who then forced her to deny her Christian faith and marry him. The following day, Imran Masih, the father of the 14-year-old, went to the police station and filed a complaint against people unknown, unaware of what had happened to his daughter.
A few days later, the police informed him that they had received Benish’s conversion and marriage certificates, and that the latter was going to go before the district magistrate in Lahore on 12 July to register her statement.
In addition to Benish and her husband Waheed Ahmed, CLAAS’s lawyer, Nasir Anjum, was present in the courtroom on behalf of the girl’s father who filed an appeal against the marriage.
During the audience, Benish told the judge that she was 19, that she had embraced Islam and had married her husband of her own free will.
The lawyer protested that the girl’s age was false and showed the real birth certificate, which shows the date of 8 October 2005. Since she was under age, the lawyer pointed out that, under Pakistani law, the girl could not marry, not even of her own free will. He therefore requested that her statement not be recorded. The judge however did not issue the order to do so, and had the girl’s statement recorded.
According to CLAAS, the fact that Benish made a false statement “is a normal practice” since “girls often give such statements because they are already living with their kidnappers,” and “death threats are made towards their family, and therefore the victims have no choice but to say what their kidnapper wants them to say in court.” However, “we have seen in the past that many girls flee whenever they get a chance.”
In “recent months, dozens of women and underage girls have been kidnapped and forcibly converted to Islam and the number is continuing to grow,” said CLAAS-UK director Nasir Saeed.
To highlight the problem of abductions, Christian and Hindu activists have organised protests, including during Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to the United States this week, when members of the Pakistani diaspora held a sit-in.
In all cases, Saeed noted, “the government is not paying any attention”. Ultimately, in his view, “The Pakistani Government must take this matter seriously and take all necessary steps to stop the ongoing forced conversion of underaged Christian and Hindu girls in Pakistan.”

2020 Census Citizenship Controversy Exposes True Open Borders Agenda

It is important to understand that this debate over the 2020 Census’s citizen/noncitizen numbers is not a debate over counting illegal immigrants residing in the United States. This controversy goes deeper than the debate over whether the official U.S. Census estimate of 11.3 million illegal aliens resident in the country is accurate or woefully inaccurate.
The political resistance to the traditional citizenship question as part of the decennial Census derives its passion and intensity from the ideological goal of transforming the nature of political representation in our republic. In that world, an elected representative in any city council, school board, county commission, state legislature, Board of Regents, or the U. .Congress, is duty bound to represent any resident of his or her district with the same passion and integrity whether that resident be a citizen, a Chinese or German foreign student at a local university, a legal resident alien born in Egypt or an illegal alien who swam across the Rio Grande. Should foreign students at the University of Colorado vote in Boulder city elections? Why not, if every “person” is entitled to “equal representation”?

Hungary: MEP From Ruling Fidesz Party Calls for “The Repatriation of Illegal Migrants in Europe”
Balazs Hidveghi from Hungary’s Fidesz party said that migrants who have entered Europe illegally should be sent back to their home countries, Hungary Today reports.
During a session of the European Parliament’s civil liberties committee, Balazs Hidveghi told fellow European MEPs, “If we fail to do this, we’ll be further enhancing the illegality [of their stay].”

Illegal Alien Accused of Child Sex Abuse After Crossing Border This Year

Libyan Coastguardsman: “I’ve Seen Many Contacts Between NGOs and Smugglers”
A commander from the Libyan coast guard has reaffirmed what many conservative voices have been saying for years — namely that NGOs are working hand-and-glove with human-smugglers to traffic migrants into Europe.

Washington State Releases Hundreds of Illegal Aliens Charged With Crimes, Including Felonies
King County Washington, which identifies as a sanctuary county, has spent the last two years releasing hundreds of illegal aliens charged with crimes, including felonies such as homicide, sexual assault and kidnapping, according to Breitbart, citing records obtained by the Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI)…
According to RLI Executive Director Dale Wilcox: “State and local elected leaders like to congratulate themselves for the compassion of their sanctuary policies, but they are actually bringing violent crime and even death to their residents. Court Sides With Professor Fired for Expressing Conservative Views in the Classroom
Professor Eric Thompson taught at Moreno Valley College since 2005 and twice received the “Faculty of the Year Award,” an honor voted on by students. He often challenged his students in his sociology courses to defend their positions on topics like marriage, gender roles, and sexual orientation. A necessary part of his classes involved exposing his students to multiple views on topics like the origins of same-sex attraction.
In 2014, several students and colleagues complained that Thompson was harming students by exposing them to the view that same-sex attraction might stem from environmental factors rather than a person’s biology. The community college subsequently investigated Thompson three times and, although the investigations concluded that no violation of District Policy or Administrative Procedure occurred, labeled Thompson’s actions “unprofessional.” After multiple hearings, the college put Thompson on paid leave in 2016 and fired him in 2017 for conducting “dangerous” and “immoral” discussions.

Josh Harris Kisses Christianity Goodbye
Josh Harris, author of the bestselling 1997 book I Kissed Dating Goodbye, announced on Instagram Friday that he had kissed Christianity goodbye, as well. He is also divorcing his wife. In recent years, Harris has rightly repented of his extraordinarily stringent and slightly heretical teachings in the evangelical purity movement, but he seems to have thrown the baby out with the bathwater. Ironically, the evangelical ex-pastor went from preaching one worldly dogma dressed up in Christian garb to fully embracing another worldly dogma clearly opposed to Christianity.
Last week, Harris announced that he and his wife of 21 years would be separating. This is significant in part because Harris made himself the model of the promises of a pure Christian life in his book. He essentially promised young Christians that if they keep themselves pure for marriage — he even suggested refraining from kissing until the wedding day — they will find the perfect spouse, enjoy the frequent satisfaction of desire, and the blessings of children.

- Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.
- Do away with all loyalty oaths.
- Continue giving Russia access to the U.S. Patent Office.
- Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.
- Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.
- Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

The Idiocy of the Latest Educational Framework

America’s education system is driven decade after decade by a never-ending stream of jargon. Left-wing educators seemingly never get tired of reproducing their pap in schools of education and not-for-profit organizations. Their jargon continuously reconfigures and is infinitely creative in saying the same thing in different ways; decade after decade educational jargon expresses educational models that produce fewer and fewer diligent, capable, informed, goal-oriented students. The successive models since the 1890s can, in a general sense, be called “progressive education.” These models express the desire of the government and the educational powers that be to engage in social engineering. This social engineering aspires to replace the parents and the family as the basic unit for passing on social and individual values and morality.
The government — that “global village” that superintends society, as Hillary Clinton expressed years ago — begins to bear responsibility for raising the little ones in the ways they should go in every respect. This progressive model of social engineering leads to a perpetual dumbing down of each generation. This dumbing down has been beautifully characterized in the classic Why Johnny Can’t Read and in various books and YouTube videos by Charlotte Iserbyt, who worked in the U.S. Department of Education during the Reagan presidency. A more recent book by AmericanThinker.com regular contributor Bruce Deitrick Price, Saving K-12, beautifully depicts the inadequacies of modern education and offers some solutions.

‘City Killer’ Asteroid Just Missed Earth and Almost Nobody Saw it Coming
An asteroid big enough to earn the moniker “city killer” zipped by the Earth Wednesday night — closer than the Earth is to the moon. Nobody saw it coming until just a few days ago.
It serves as a reminder that, for as much as astronomers keep staring at the sky for potential threats, there’s a lot of sky to look at.
“Asteroid 2019 OK” passed by Earth at 9:22 p.m. EDT Wednesday. It came within 45,000 miles of Earth, or about one-fifth of the distance between Earth and the moon.

Boris Johnson is promising a so-called “amnesty” for illegal aliens.
“Amnesty” is a euphemism for capitulation and dereliction of duty.

He has been named as Ayman Aziz.

Presumably he is one of “the best of peoples raised up for mankind”, and was insulted when one of the “vilest of beasts” rejected his advances.
The poor girl was bludgeoned with something like a hammer. Several of her teeth were left behind in the hut where the killing happened before he dragged her body 150 yards and dumped it on a bench.

Re: French philosopher labels climate kid Greta a “cyborg”.
I see what he means; her Asperger’s/autism, which she claimed, on BBC Radio 4 a few weeks ago, means she sees things in black and white, which is a good thing from her perspective. Actually it’s a limitation, like missing a limb; such people are, literally, “disabled”, which means that the rest of us should, I hope, treat them with respect and compassion (unlike, say, the Nazis), but not expect them to be able to perform all mental or physical functions as most of us can.
However, when she claimed to see “carbon” (what kind?) in the air, it should have been apparent to rational people that she is delusional, like Joan of Arc, with whom she’s been compared. Sadly not all humans are rational.
