Gates of Vienna News Feed 5/26/2019

“Populist” parties scored massive gains across most of Europe in the elections for the European Parliament. In addition to the Brexit Party’s amazing victory, Fidesz in Hungary, the League in Italy, and National Rally in France won their respective elections. Marine Le Pen edged out Emmanuel Macron’s party by a couple of percentage points, causing her to demand that the result be considered a vote of no confidence, forcing a new election. Matteo Salvini’s Lega won about 33% of the vote, roughly the same as the Brexit Party’s showing. And Fidesz won with 52% or 56% (depending on which report you read) in Hungary.

“Wikipedia Is… Broken, “ Controlled by Special Interests & Bad Actors Says Co-Founder

Authored by Sharyl Attkisson

I’ve done quite a bit of reporting about how Wikipedia is definitely not “the encyclopedia anyone can edit.” It’s become a vehicle for special interests to control information. Agenda editors are able to prevent or revert edits and sourcing on selected issues and people in order to control the narrative.

My own battle with Wikipedia included being unable to correct provably false facts such as incorrect job history, incorrect birth place and incorrect birth date.

What’s worse is that agenda editors related to pharmaceutical interests and the partisan blog Media Matters control my Wikipedia biographical page, making sure that slanted or false information stays on it. For example, they falsely refer to my reporting as “anti-vaccine,” and imply my reporting on the topic has been discredited. In fact, my vaccine and medical reporting has been recognized by top national journalism awards organizations, and has even been cited as a source in a peer reviewed scientific publication. However, anyone who tries to edit this factual context and footnotes onto my page finds it is quickly removed.

What persists on my page, however, are sources that are supposedly disallowed by Wikipedia’s policies. They include citations by Media Matters, with no disclosure that it’s a partisan blog.

A Constitutional Crisis, Part 2

Our nation has operated under the most successful government document devised by man in the history of the world and has made us the most successful, prosperous and powerful nation the world has ever seen yet Democrats hate it. For example, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, speaking to Egypt’s new government in 2012 stated that the US Constitution was not one that should be used as a guide: Just last week, for example, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg told an Egyptian TV station that she would not recommend the U.S. Constitution as model for Egypt’s new government.

The problem, you see, is that the U.S. Constitution is “a rather old constitution.” Ginsburg suggested that Egyptians should look instead to the Constitution of South Africa or perhaps the European Convention on Human Rights. All these are “much more recent than the U.S. Constitution.”

Ginsburg’s comments echo those by Washington University professor David Law, who published a study with Mila Versteeg on the U.S. Constitution’s declining influence worldwide. In an interview, Law unfavorably compared the Constitution to “Windows 3.1” — outdated and unattractive in a world of sleek and sexy modern constitutions. Such obsession with the age of the Constitution is both absurd and irrelevant. Keep in mind that she has sworn to uphold this Constitution, yet this modern court has used international law to adjudicate cases before it. In the Lawrence vs Texas, Texas’ sodomy law, they used an international treaty the United States had not agreed to yet to decide the case. Keep in mind the liberal jurists on the Supreme Court favor homosexual marriage and since they could not find anything in our Constitution to overturn Texas’ law, they went outside the United States to do so. In her own words: In terms of her own views, Justice Ginsberg did not mince words:

Bodybuilding Brothers Say Jussie Smollett’s Lawyers Are Ducking Them

The bodybuilding brothers who sued Jussie Smollett’s lawyers for defamation say the actor’s counselors are ducking them, and they want the U.S. Marshals to get involved.

Olabinjo and Abimbola Osundairo filed their federal lawsuit against Mark Geragos, Tina Glandian and the Geragos & Geragos Law Firm one month ago. The same day, April 23, notices and requests for waivers of service went out to all three defendants, according to a motion filed by the brothers’ lawyers Wednesday.

An individual named Steven Davis received a notice April 26 at the law firm’s office in Los Angeles, according to the motion filed by attorney James Tunick. But the New York office, where Glandian practices, allegedly refused to accept the certified mail “on more than one occasion.”

Darwin Award: Two Men Try to Jump Over Drawbridge in a Chevy Cruze

Alejandro Cazares, 23, and Roberto Alejandro Moreno, 32, died at the scene after trying to jump an open drawbridge in Louisiana driving a Chevy Cruze on Friday.

Black Bayou Bridge in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana was the bridge the two men tried to jump at 2 a.m. on Friday.

A witness recounted that the bridge was closed to let a boat through, but one of the men got out of the car and “pushed the gate arm up.”

The other man drove the car under the gate, picked up the second man and drove toward the end of the bridge. He attempted to jump the bridge but the car sank to the bottom of the water.

Toxicology reports are being done for obvious reasons. Who would think this is a good idea if they were in their right mind?

The tweet immediately went viral, after it was retweeted by a spate of left wing journalists, politicians and pundits eager to disparage the President.

Fierce Candace Owens Demolishes Far Left Cornel West in the Debate of the Week

The debate between far left Cornel West and Candace Owens has to be the best political debate this week or even longer.

She’s a huge asset to the conservative movement in America. Watch her take on Harvard Professor Cornel West and demolish every argument he has against President Trump and our economy. They even debate the IQ of Maxine Waters… LOL

Fox News Stumping for 2020 Hillary Clinton?

Fox News Goes Fake: Largely ignored story of our times is that not only has Fox News gone over to the enemy’s side, they’re trying to take their viewers with them

It wasn’t CNN or MSNBC that resurrected Hillary Clinton in a perky picture over a story indicating that Obama’s former Secretary of State may be running for 2020 election, it was — FOX NEWS.

When’s the last time anyone saw a front page picture of Clinton being presented as perky?

Today, on Fox News is when.

Fox fully cites Clinton, who is now rebranding herself, Madonna-like as the one and only ‘Savior of the Constitution’.

Were editors over at Fox News able to keep a straight face and not blow coffee out of their noses when passing this story off as “News”?

We expect this kind of bull roar from CNN and MSNBC — but not from sometimes ‘conservative’sanctimonious Fox News.

On Memorial Day Weekend when patriots honor their fallen War dead, Fox comes up with a story making disgraced Hillary Clinton a hero?

‘Hate’Speech Ban Leaves ‘Free Society Destroyed’

A report from blogger Pamela Geller, who is known for fighting the implementation of Shariah in the United States, is warning that if Ontario, Canada, passes a bill banning offensive speech, its “free society is destroyed.”

She was referring to a bill that “would criminalize public displays by Christians deemed hateful to Muslims, the LGBT community and other victim groups designated by the left.”

The Prohibiting Hate-Promoting Demonstrations at Queen’s Park Act would forbid any rally, meeting or event that is called hateful by the parliamentary speaker.

LifeSiteNews reported the nebulous nature of Canada’s anti-hate laws gives left-wing lawmakers carte blanche to ban all Christian protest.

The problem is that “hate” isn’t defined under Canadian law, so it can be used to silence reasonable expression of belief.

High Ranking FBI Lawyer Testimony Reveals FISA Was Approved Outside Regular Procedures

The Gateway Pundit revealed a bombshell from the transcripts of the testimony of former FBI Principal Deputy General Counsel, Trisha Anderson, from the transcripts released by Rep. Doug Collins.

Trisha Anderson is Harvard Law School grad. For three years, she was the Principal Deputy General Counsel for the FBI where she worked in the National Security Cyberlaw branch. FBI lawyer Lisa Page worked under Anderson, who worked in a supervisory role for the department. Anderson’s boss was none other than former FBI General Counsel James Baker. James Baker reported to the fired FBI Deputy Director Andy McCabe and of course, McCabe reported to the fired FBI director, James Comey. Trisha Anderson is no longer working for the FBI. She is currently a partner at Covington & Burling law firm.

In the transcript of her testimony, Anderson was asked about Lisa Page and if she ever heard any complaints from others within the chain of command at the FBI for bypassing her superiors, and reporting directly to Andrew McCabe?

From the transcript:

[… ]

Normally, a FISA application would go to the legal department first to confirm that it is indeed proper to press forward with. In this case, top officials informally “approved” the application first, signaling to Anderson that her signature was just perfunctory.

LA Metro’s Purple Line Shows Waste of Government Funds, Is Safety Hazard

[…]

Currently, California has over a trillion dollars in debt, however, that has not stopped a local government from throwing money at a project despite protests and backlash.

Los Angeles County has begun construction on Section 2 of LA Metro’s Purple Line that will run from downtown LA to Century City. The project is expected to cost California taxpayers $400 million more in additional funding than originally planned. Furthermore, the train will detour from the public right of way, tunnel under residential property and go underneath Beverly Hills High School.

Not only is Section 2 of the Purple Line costly, but the current alignment looks nothing like the original proposal presented to the local community of Beverly Hills. The construction of Section 2 was moved only 800 feet from the public right of way but now will run through an unmapped oil field with large pockets of deadly methane and hydrogen sulfide gases. This same oil field lies beneath the high school that the subway will go under — not a safe route by any stretch. In fact, the construction of this section is putting the lives of students and teachers at risk. It’s no wonder LA Metro was sued multiple times by the Beverly Hills Unified School District.

In addition, heavy construction for Section 2 of the Purple Line will take place at the fence line of the school, forcing students and staff to breathe diesel truck particles, dust, pollution, and other toxins, for seven years. Noise and vibration from the construction will cause students’ education to suffer.

Thankfully, one of California’s conservative champions, Lisa Korbatov, who formerly served as the Beverly Hill’s School Board President, had helped to lead the efforts to push back against this wasteful spending project, with the Stop the Purple Line Threat campaign.

Korbatov and the Stop the Purple Line Threat campaign have reason to be optimistic about their past efforts on this, given that the Trump Administration has rightfully vetoed similar projects in the past and can pull federal funding for the Section 2 Purple Line project as well.

Just last week, the Federal Railroad Administration pulled nearly a billion dollars from a project to fund a high-speed passenger train connecting San Francisco and Los Angeles. The Trump Administration accurately pointed to the fact that California “abandoned its original vision of a high-speed passenger rail service…essential to its applications for FRA grant funding.”

Despite what many might inaccurately claim, particularly among members of the press, President Trump’s actions clearly show a determination to cut the government’s wasteful spending habits. He set a precedent when he pulled funding from California’s proposed high-speed rail line. Hopefully, he will recognize the burden, wastefulness, and danger of LA Metro’s Section 2 and take action to pull government funding from the Purple Line Section 2.

Muslim Congresswoman and Anti-Semite Ilhan Omar Gives a Fiery Racist Speech Proclaims That America Will ‘No Longer be a Country of White People’

Speaking at a “Black Women in Defense of Ilhan Omar” event on Tuesday in Washington, D.C., Rep. Ilhan Omar declared, “This is not going to be the country of white people.”

Muslim congresswoman Ilhan Omar has gotten herself into a load of trouble after being sworn in back in January with seemingly endless outbursts and invectives against the Jews in general and against Israel in particular. First, she denounced Israel as a terror state in a fiery Twitter attack, she said that the Muslim terrorists who slaughtered 3,000 on 9/11 were just “some people who did something’. It got so bad that Congress was forced to pass a bill denouncing anti-semitism. Now Ilhan Omar wants you to know that white people will have no place in the new America that she and her Democratic Socialist buddies want to create. If you doubt she actually used those words, watch the video below.

Software Disenchantment

I’ve been programming for 15 years now. Recently our industry’s lack of care for efficiency, simplicity, and excellence started really getting to me, to the point of me getting depressed by my own career and the IT in general.

Modern cars work, let’s say for the sake of argument, at 98% of what’s physically possible with the current engine design. Modern buildings use just enough material to fulfill their function and stay safe under the given conditions. All planes converged to the optimal size/form/load and basically look the same.

Only in software, it’s fine if a program runs at 1% or even 0.01% of the possible performance. Everybody just seems to be ok with it. People are often even proud about how much inefficient it is, as in “why should we worry, computers are fast enough”:

Look around: our portable computers are thousands of times more powerful than the ones that brought man to the moon. Yet every other webpage struggles to maintain a smooth 60fps scroll on the latest top-of-the-line MacBook Pro. I can comfortably play games, watch 4K videos but not scroll web pages? How is it ok?

Windows 10 takes 30 minutes to update. What could it possibly be doing for that long? That much time is enough to fully format my SSD drive, download a fresh build and install it like 5 times in a row.

Modern text editors have higher latency than 42-year-old Emacs. Text editors! What can be simpler? On each keystroke, all you have to do is update tiny rectangular region and modern text editors can’t do that in 16ms. It’s a lot of time. A LOT. A 3D game can fill the whole screen with hundreds of thousands (!!!) of polygons in the same 16ms and also process input, recalculate the world and dynamically load/unload resources. How come?

As a general trend, we’re not getting faster software with more features. We’re getting faster hardware that runs slower software with the same features. Everything works way below the possible speed. Ever wonder why your phone needs 30 to 60 seconds to boot? Why can’t it boot, say, in one second? There are no physical limitations to that. I would love to see that. I would love to see limits reached and explored, utilizing every last bit of performance we can get for something meaningful in a meaningful way.

[Comment: Highly recommended reading. RISC OS and applications for example are very efficient comapred to other OS’s. RISCOS is now opensource — https://www.riscosopen.org/content/ — nowadays used for Raspbery Pi hardware.]

Teachers in New York City Told to ‘Focus on Middle Class Black Students Over Poor White Students’

A consultant working with New York City public schools on its implicit bias training allegedly told educators and staff that resources should be devoted to middle class black students over poor white ones.

A person present at the training in question told the Post that educational and racial equality strategist Dr. Darnisa Amante said:

‘If I had a poor white male student and I had a middle-class black boy, I would actually put my equitable strategies and interventions into that middle class black boy because over the course of his lifetime he will have less access and less opportunities than that poor white boy. That’s what racial equity is.’

The Facts About the Purple Threat

[with good maps of the proposed insane damage]

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) is expanding a line of the Los Angeles subway system in a way that unnecessarily poses significant health risks to students at Beverly Hills High School and threatens the school’s plans for modernization.

The proposed detour for the subway line runs directly beneath historic instructional buildings and the ONLY LAND the High School can develop.

The original route was planned under a public right-of-way. The new proposed detour, a mere 800-900 feet from the original, is longer, slower and wastes more than $400 million in taxpayer dollars.

The new detour goes under the high school, through ground littered with abandoned oil wells and saturated with methane gas and oil. The amount of methane gas and oil has not been adequately studied.

Construction staging areas are planned directly adjacent to the High School property and next to classrooms. The digging and construction will disrupt learning and create health issues for more than seven years.

Alternative routes can go to the same station to avoid going under the school. These would work just as well. Also, there are alternative locations for the construction staging areas. Beverly Hills Unified School District has been involved in litigation over this plan for several years. Any efforts by the School District to resolve the matter consensually have been rebuffed by Metro.

Under the Obama administration, $1.87 billion was allocated for Section 2 of the Project. Section 2 includes only one segment of the subway from a station at Wilshire/Rodeo in Beverly Hills to a station at Constellation Boulevard in Century City — the segment that travels directly beneath the High School. $100 million increments are distributed to Metro from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) annually under a Full Funding Grant Agreement.

President Donald Trump and his Administration have the power to protect the students and school district since they now control the federal funds Metro needs to complete the project.

If the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) does not believe that the project is in compliance with the law — and it is NOT in compliance because substantial funds were allocated to this alignment while the agencies were obligated by a federal district court judge to analyze whether there is any prudent and feasible alternative to the alignment under the High School — FTA can, and must, temporarily suspend funds under the agreement.

If the next incremental allocation is suspended, pending an independent review of the Section 2 alignment by DOT, it would bring the parties to the negotiation table.

A mutually agreed-upon resolution will expedite construction, and ensure that litigation is not an obstacle to completion before the 2028 Olympics.

For the safety of students and faculty, and the future viability of the school district, President Trump must direct Secretary Chao to:

  • Temporarily suspend funding for this section of the subway pending an independent review, and
  • Bring all parties to the table to resolve the matter.

The Unraveling of Obama Administration Conspiracy

“FBI Deputy Assistant Director of the Counterintelligence Division Peter Strzok and his supposed paramour, FBI lawyer Lisa Page, exchanged a cryptic, indeed coded, text message on Sunday, March 19, 2017, twenty-six minutes after retired U.S. Air Force Lt. General Thomas McInerney read our exclusive “Whistleblower Tapes” exposé over America’s airwaves, revealing ‘The Hammer.’

The Hammer is the Stasi-like secret surveillance system created by CIA/NSA/FBI contractor-turned-whistleblower Dennis L. Montgomery for Obama’s intelligence chiefs, CIA Director John Brennan and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.

The Hammer, under the Obama administration, negated every American’s constitutional rights to privacy, turning the United States into a police state where the federal government was weaponized by the Obama administration against its political enemies.

According to the secretly-recorded audio tapes released by Federal Judge G. Murray Snow, Brennan’s and Clapper’s illicit super surveillance system ‘The Hammer’ wiretapped Trump ‘a zillion times.’ Late that Sunday evening, just hours after General McInerney’s radio appearance, Strzok and Page exchanged a text message that explicitly referenced Dennis Montgomery and Montgomery’s attorney Larry E. Klayman.

Only a few hours earlier, Lt. General McInerney had referenced Montgomery and Klayman on ‘Operation Freedom,’ exactly the same names about which Strzok and Page were now texting.

Lt. General McInerney appeared on Dr. Dave Janda’s ‘Operation Freedom’ that broadcasts from terrestrial radio station WAAM 1600.

The next morning, the Russian Collusion investigation was born.

Tucker Carlson Accuses Democrats of Trying to Distract Americans From the Real Problems

“Politicizing the Justice Department, that’s what they’re concerned about? Politicizing the Justice Department didn’t seem to be a main concern when FBI agents spied on and then slandered [former Trump campaign aide] Carter Page an entirely innocent American citizen. When another two FBI agents were caught talking about an insurance policy against trump becoming president, and then promising to stop him, that wasn’t politicizing the Justice Department either according to them,” Carlson said on “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”

U.S. Military to Trawl Through 350 Billion Social Media Messages

The U.S. military plans to analyze 350 billion social-media posts from around the world to help it track how popular movements evolve.

A tender for the project, based at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, calls for screening messages from at least 200 million users from more than 100 countries in more than 60 languages to better understand “collective expression.” Messages, including user names, will be examined for comments, metadata, location and hometown identifiers.

Utah Judge Who Trashed Trump in Courtroom and on Social Media Just Found Out the Hard Way He’s Not Above the Law

Utah judge has been suspended for six months without pay after he made a series of critical statements about President Donald Trump online and in his courtroom over the past few years.

The Utah Supreme Court filed its court ruling this past week on Judge Michael Kwan’s actions.

Kwan, who has served as a justice court judge in Taylorsville for 20 years, was cited for “improper use of judicial authority and his inappropriate political commentary,” the latter often involving President Trump.

The court noted multiple times when Kwan had provided political comments that criticized Trump, as a presidential candidate in 2016 and as president on his Facebook page and in court.

Video Shows Cops Respond to Hostage Situation by Killing the Hostage — No One Fired

Los Angeles police previously released graphic body camera footage, showing officers opening fire on a man armed with a knife who’d taken a 49-year-old woman hostage. In the shooting, police killed both the man with the knife, and the innocent hostage. Now, the department is claiming that the officers who opened fire on the innocent women are being “disciplined.” However, they will face no criminal charges and will likely not even be fired.

On Tuesday, a civilian oversight panel ruled that two of the three cops who responded to the scene that day violated department policy on the use of deadly force. It will now be up to LAPD Chief Michel Moore to decide exactly what “discipline” measures he will take with the officers.

Women Discussed Vegas Massacre, “Shooting Fish in a Barrel” Shortly Before Shooting, Says Final Report

In an interview with Big League Politics Thursday, a former CIA Chief of Station and the President of Americans for Intelligence Reform discussed a bombshell revelation buried within the police final report regarding a premeditated conversation about the shooting, which occurred at the venue 30 minutes before Stephen Paddock rained bullets on the crowd.

“This is actually out of the [final] police report,” said Brad Johnson.

“So there was a young woman — I’ve exchanged phone calls with her, she doesn’t want me to use her name so I’ll respect that wish of hers — but she is a Department of Homeland Security TSA employee, so she’s trained in security and observing and so on.”

“Almost exactly a half hour before the shooting takes place, she’s at the back of the concert and looking forward towards the stage with all of the people with their backs towards her,” Johnson said. “At the back there had been a previous concert — there were some bails of hay and some things being put away — but it was a pretty big stack and on top of that stack there were two young women.”

After relaying the in-depth description of the two women provided by the TSA agent, Johnson dropped the bombshell:

“The first woman says, ‘Those stupid f****** white people, they’re going to know how it feels. They deserve this. Wait until later,’“ according to Johnson and the report.

“The second woman, who’s the rambunctious one, says ‘YO, like shooting fish in a barrel! Are you getting this, baby? I love you!’“ he said.

According to Johnson and the TSA agent, the women were live-streaming the occasion. Police have never followed up with the women described by the TSA employee.

Chinese State Reporters Caught “Snooping Around” NATO Base, Germany Investigates

Journalists representing China’s main state media outlet are in hot water after they were seen filming NATO military equipment and asking probing questions of German soldiers about their daily routines and military jobs.

Debunking Another Leftist Myth: Nazi Fascists and Fascist Nazis

These two regimes are distinguished primarily by the fact that they are based on completely different philosophical concepts and socio-economic constructions. The most interesting is the fascist regime of Italy, since Italian fascism inherited a rich theoretical and philosophical basis, which cannot be said of the Nazis. The theoretical baggage of revolutionary syndicalists, national-syndicalists, and fascists is tremendous and could be intellectually compared with their rivals of the Marxist current. The intellectual origin of fascist thoughts can be traced to the reactionary tendencies among some thinkers of the “Franco-Italian cultural complex” toward a political philosophy of the eighteenth-century period of the Enlightenment.

Fascism was erected on a solid philosophical foundation that could be traced to the works of the French philosopher Henry Bergson (1859 — 1941), the leading philosopher of his time, whose international fame had reached cult-like heights. Fascism adopted revolutionary syndicalists’ philosophical platform, which they in turn borrowed from these great thinkers. Anti-Cartesian, anti-Kantian, anti-materialist, voluntarist, vitalist, and heroic elements of his philosophy can be distinctly traced in the theory of Fascism. Non-Marxian socialists enthusiastically embraced Bergson’s theories of the irrational, the power of intuition, and the concept of élan vital (vital impetus).

Italian fascism was conceived as a unique philosophical and socio-economical doctrine that leaned towards neither the Left nor the right; it was supposed to occupy a unique niche in the political spectrum. In practice, fascism had produced a society with an unstable equilibrium between labor and capital and between men and the state. The balancing act between the Left and the right policies was sustained by neither the internal nor by the external conditions. It was easy to determine that the whole structure had predictably collapsed to the Left, considering the fascist regime in the dynamics of its development. Therefore, theoretically, fascism is neither the right nor the Left; in reality, it is a right wing of the Left.

Spain’s Socialists Win EU Ballot, Local Vote Fragmented

MADRID (Reuters) — Spain’s Socialists won most votes in European and local elections on Sunday in a series of ballots that boosted their ambitions to target a top EU job in Brussels but highlighted how deeply fragmented the political landscape is at home.

After winning national elections in April without a majority, the acting prime minister, Pedro Sanchez, was looking to Sunday’s local, regional and EU elections to reinforce his negotiating stance to form a government.

On the local front it is more complicated. The Socialists won more votes than any other party nationwide but the election was very fragmented and conservatives and the center-right and far-right together were set to win in key cities and regions like Madrid.

UK: London Plans 15mph Speed Limit to “Cut Air Pollution”

In what is a solid contender for this year’s Darwin Awards for environmental virtue signalling, the City of London has proposed a 15mph speed limit and the closure of some streets at lunchtime as part of a “radical plan” to reduce air pollution, cut traffic, and promote walking.

With more than half a million people commuting into the City of London each day, the authorities have been working to reduce air pollution in the area which contains several of the most polluted spots in the capital, the FT reported quoting Alastair Moss, chair of transport and planning committee at the City of London Corporation, who said the “radical plans” would help Greater London maintain its competitive edge as a business destination. The new 15mph speed limit could go into effect as soon as 2021, pending further approval from the Department for Transport.

It was not immediately clear how or why the artificial ceiling of 15mph would help the environment, especially since the maximum emissions from a car engine peak at a low rate of speed, but we’ll leave that to the Darwin Award nominations committee to answer. There is another, more pertinent question: why impose a 15 mps limit when the average traffic speeds in the City of London are already roughly half that due to narrow streets and congestion.

As White House Reveals First Part of Its Middle East Peace Plan, It Appears Jared Kushner Has No Understanding of What the Palestinians Actually Want

On Sunday afternoon, however, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas’ spokesman, Nabil Abu Rudeineh, told CNN that the plan is “futile.”“Any economic plan without political horizons will lead nowhere,” he said, adding, “Palestinians will not accept any proposals which do not include a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.”

Well, now we know the first part of the Middle East Peace Plan that Jared Kushner has been working on, and it’s a huge zero. Step 1 contains seemingly nothing but economic incentives, investment capital and ‘urban renewal’ to offer to the Palestinian people. Something they couldn’t care less about. Outside of driving every living Jew out of Israel and into the sea, the Palestinians want one thing and one thing only — East Jerusalem. Any so-called ‘peace plan’ needs to solve that problem first before tackling any of the other ones. Still in Shock: Aussie Election Has Stunned Big Media, Pollsters, Climate Cultists, Greens, Labor

Remember 2016? Hillary Clinton was going to beat Donald Trump in a landslide. Right?

Brits really wanted to remain in the European Union and would handily defeat the Brexit efforts. Right?

All the political “experts” said so.

All the pollsters said so.

All the Big Media chattering heads said so.

All the comedians, celebrities, and hipsters said so.

Of course, they were all spectacularly wrong, wrong, wrong.

And when it came to Australia’s federal election last week, the so-called experts — not just in Australia, but globally — were proven stunningly off beam once again. The powers that be had anointed Bill Shorten, the ultra-left Labor Party star, to become Australia’s next prime minister. For months, the purveyors of supposed wisdom had proclaimed Shorten’s victory as a sure thing. Shorten and the Labor Party had made action on climate change a centerpiece of their campaign. The sitting prime minister, Scott Morrison (shown), presiding over the National Party/Liberal Party Coalition, was supposed to be unelectable. It would be a green cakewalk for Shorten and Labor.

The voters thought otherwise. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison’s stunning upset re-election victory is now causing another collective wailing and gnashing of teeth amongst the green glitterati and the Morrison obituary writers, as they ask “What did we get wrong?”

[… ]

For one thing, Australian voters apparently understood that the 45 percent reduction in carbon emissions proposed in Shorten’s Labor program would kill Australia’s economy. According to a study by economist Brian Fisher, the Labor climate program would wipe out 167,000 jobs and cost at least 264 billion Australian dollars (around 181 billion American dollars). However, the price tag could turn out to be even higher, around $542 billion Australian, depending on a multitude of factors concerning interpretation and implementation of a host of new rules and regulations. Shorten did not help things by repeatedly refusing to answer critics by putting a price tag on his green new deal.

Ireland Sought to Give Thousands of Migrants ‘Amnesty Under Another Name’

Authorities in Ireland “tried very much to introduce something like an amnesty” for thousands of asylum seekers, but “did not dare” call it that because politicians knew such a move would be electoral poison, it has emerged.

Former High Court judge Dr Bryan McMahon made the revelation while giving evidence to the Oireachtas (legislature of Ireland) Committee on Justice and Equality this week, as the United Nations ordered politicians to improve the quality of life for asylum seekers in the country.

Our Open Border and the Coming Perennial Power of Democrats if This State Turns Blue

The Democrats continue to resist closing our southern border so the flood of illegals continues.

The fundamental transformation of America is happening by flooding our nation with people from the third world.

This is exactly what the global elitists want.

George Soros is getting exactly what he’s wanted since Obama was elected.

The left is not only using illegal aliens to flood our nation, but they are also using the refugee resettlement program to fundamentally change America:

The map below shows refugee resettlement with the greatest number being the darkest blue:

Note that Texas is deep blue!

Sharpstown Woman Pleaded for Her Life Before Being Fatally Stabbed, Prosecutors Say

The man accused of stabbing an elderly woman to death in her Sharpstown home detailed the gruesome killing to police investigators, saying that he spent at least 40 minutes with her as she begged for her life, according to prosecutors.

Marco Cobos, 19, allegedly used multiple knives to stab Etta Nugent to death for about 40 minutes to an hour, according to the charging documents which prosecutors read aloud during his first appearance in court Wednesday morning. The medical examiner reported finding more than 13 stab wounds on the 75-year-old woman’s body.

He has been charged with capital murder in Nugent’s death. The Mexican national is being held at the Harris County Jail without bond and federal authorities have placed an immigration detainer on him.

Anti-White “Vegetableism”? AOC Compares Growing Cauliflower to “Colonialism”

Maybe it’s their white privilege. Whatever the case, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) — who now apparently has added “botanist” to her long list of qualifications — has just warned that growing cauliflower plants in nonwhite neighborhoods’ community gardens is akin to an act of colonialism.

[… ]

It’s when we react spontaneously, when we don’t have much time to think, that our hearts are revealed. And when Ocasio-Cortez spoke from the heart, she singled out a white vegetable. Then she extolled yuca.

It happens to be brown — at least on the outside.

This is fitting since leftist policy only looks, and leftist thinking only is, skin deep. Ocasio-Cortez’ botanic musings are no exception, either, as American Thinker explains:

Canada Moves to Ban Christians From Demonstrating in Public Under New Anti-Hate Proposal

The Canadian province of Ontario is considering legislation that would officially criminalize Christianity.

Legislation proposed in the Canadian province of Ontario would criminalize public displays by Christians deemed hateful to Muslims, the LGBT community and other victim groups designated by the left.

The bill, “Prohibiting Hate-Promoting Demonstrations at Queen’s Park Act, 2019,” bans any demonstration, rally or other activity that is deemed hateful by the Speaker from being permissible on legislative grounds — effectively insulating the government from Christian speech.

Life Site News explains that the nebulous nature of Canada’s anti-hate laws essentially give leftist legislators carte blanche to ban all Christian protest:

As Canada becomes more restrictive toward Christianity, they open their arms for the LGBT agenda and Islam to take a foothold in their culture.

The Royal Canadian Mint issued a commemorative coin (link) last month to celebrate homosexual love as a core principle of Canadian society.

Meanwhile, the far-left Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been revealed to be plotting different ways to bring ISIS terrorists to his nation and possibly be re-introduced in public life.

Franklin Graham Delivers More Biblical Truth to Gay Democrat Pete Buttigieg

Answering multiple comments Buttigieg made about God, Graham tweeted, “Presidential candidate & South Bend Mayor @PeteButtigieg is right — God doesn’t have a political party. But God does have commandments, laws & standards He gives us to live by. God doesn’t change. His Word is the same yesterday, today & forever.”

Graham continued, “Mayor Buttigieg says he’s a gay Christian. As a Christian I believe the Bible which defines homosexuality as sin, something to be repentant of, not something to be flaunted, praised or politicized. The Bible says marriage is between a man & a woman — not two men, not two women.”

“The core of the Christian faith is believing and following Jesus Christ, who God sent to be the Savior of the world — to save us from sin, to save us from hell, to save us from eternal damnation,” Graham said.

Maltese Catholics Protest Priest’s Public Support for Homosexuality

A group of Catholic laypeople from Malta have published an open letter to their archbishop calling for the repudiation of a priest who went on national television to defend homosexuality as “natural” and morally equivalent to heterosexual love.

In their full-page article, the Maltese Society for Christian Civilisation said it represents “innumerable Catholics in Malta” in expressing “sadness, bewilderment and legitimate disappointment” over the silence of Archbishop Charles Scicluna in the face of the public scandal caused by Father Kevin Schembri for his defense of homosexuality during a television program last March.

The Age of Anti-Christian Rage: How Lady Gaga-Style Leftists Are Trying to Recreate the Christian Faith in Their Own Image

The US seems to be ablaze with anti-Christian rage from the Left lately, but one recent headline along those lines sends a particularly profound warning. It’s because of what it reveals about a possible strategic threat to Christianity in America today. I’m not talking about the dominant story about the media’s rush to judgment against a group of Catholic teens, although that story is especially disturbing. No. I’m talking about Lady Gaga.

Here it is. Lady Gaga calls herself a Christian and then tries to convince the rest of the world that Vice President Mike Pence is not a good representation of what Christianity actually is. Why? Because he believes in traditional marriage between one man and one woman. Gaga’s comment came after people on the Left became outraged to learn that Karen Pence is going to teach at a Christian school that follows biblical teaching about sexuality. That led to broad attacks against Christian schools in general, revealing that they have become the next big target for the anti-Christian Left.

The Ongoing Destruction of the Minds of Children

Compulsory schooling is a travesty. To call it education is absurd. Real education is lifelong learning as an individual, while compulsory public schooling is the indoctrination of children as a collective exercise to bring all down to the lowest level. Prisons called schools are simply the forced means to stifle individual brilliance while promoting sameness and monotony. The result of this brainwashing is meant to teach children to obey orders, and to be satisfied spending their lives in a virtual cage of ignorance, to never become entrepreneurs and dissenters.

The Similarities Between Declining Rome and the Modern US

Sometime around A.D. 60, in the age of Emperor Nero, a Roman court insider named Gaius Petronius wrote a satirical Latin novel, “The Satyricon,” about moral corruption in Imperial Rome. The novel’s general landscape was Rome’s transition from an agrarian republic to a globalized multicultural superpower.

[…]

Certain themes in “The Satyricon” are timeless and still resonate today.

The abrupt transition from a society of rural homesteaders into metropolitan coastal hubs had created two Romes. One world was a sophisticated and cosmopolitan network of traders, schemers, investors, academics, and deep-state imperial cronies. Their seaside corridors were not so much Roman as Mediterranean. And they saw themselves more as “citizens of the world” than as mere Roman citizens.

In the novel, vast, unprecedented wealth had produced license. On-the-make urbanites suck up and flatter the childless rich in hopes of being given estates rather than earning their own money.

The rich in turn exploit the young sexually and emotionally by offering them false hopes of landing an inheritance.

Petronius seems to mock the very world in which he indulged.

His novel’s accepted norms are pornography, gratuitous violence, sexual promiscuity, transgenderism, delayed marriage, childlessness, fear of aging, homelessness, social climbing, ostentatious materialism, prolonged adolescence, and scamming and conning in lieu of working.

[…]

But there was also a second Rome in the shadows. Occasionally the hipster antiheroes of the novel bump into old-fashioned rustics, shopkeepers, and legionaries. They are what we might now call the ridiculed “deplorables” and “clingers.”

Even Petronius suggests that these rougher sorts built and maintained the vast Roman Empire. They are caricatured as bumpkins and yet admired as simple, sturdy folk without the pretensions and decadence of the novel’s urban drones.

Petronius is too skilled a satirist to paint a black-and-white picture of good old traditional Romans versus their corrupt urban successors. His point is subtler.

Globalization had enriched and united non-Romans into a world culture. That was an admirable feat. But such homogenization also attenuated the very customs, traditions, and values that had led to such astounding Roman success in the first place.

The multiculturalism, urbanism, and cosmopolitanism of “The Satyricon” reflected an exciting Roman mishmash of diverse languages, habits, and lifestyles drawn from northern and Western Europe, Asia, and Africa.

But the new empire also diluted a noble and unique Roman agrarianism. It eroded nationalism and patriotism. The empire’s wealth, size, and lack of cohesion ultimately diminished Roman unity, as well as traditional marriage, child-bearing, and autonomy.

[…]

Genocide of Christians Reaches “Alarming Stage”

“Christian persecution ‘at near genocide levels,’“ the title of a May 3 BBC report, cites a lengthy interim study ordered by British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt and led by Rev. Philip Mounstephen, the Bishop of Truro.

According to the BBC report, one in three people around the world suffer from religious persecution, with Christians being “the most persecuted religious group”. “Religion ‘is at risk of disappearing’ in some parts of the world,” it noted, and “In some regions, the level and nature of persecution is arguably coming close to meeting the international definition of genocide, according to that adopted by the UN.”

VIDEO: Circumcision teaches Muslim boys to spill blood for Allah.

The imam Mufti Muhammad Ibn Muneer, born in Philadelphia and mainly active in New York, claims that circumcision teaches children that they must be willing to spill blood for Allah.

The statement was made based on a so-called “sharh”, a comment or explanation, of Islamic texts. In this, the importance of not circumcising children in premature age is presented. This is because the child should be old enough to remember the pain.

According to the imam, the idea is that the memory of the pain should give the child a “psychological reminder that suffering and pain are required to implement shari’a”.

In a video published on May 19 on the youtube channel “Hadith Disciple”, Ibn Muneer celebrates “the depth of this insight” and further claims that the world would be better if children learn to sacrifice and to expect bloodshed in the spread of Islam. “You must be prepared to spill blood for the shari’a of Allah” , says this American imam.

    • … and then participating as small children in the torture & slaughter of millions of animals for eid ‘celebrations’. A travesty of celebration.

Images of barefoot 5yr old boys slapping small toes across makeshift abbatoir floors of scarlet animal blood & innards, stench, stomach churning screams of slow torture. – and the children laugh proudly with the adults. Where is their conscience to living, sentients: both human and animal.
Indeed, child abuse is a description more true and appropriate.

Ingraining pathological pain into the young should be a recognised crime unmitigated by cruelty masquerading as ‘religious freedom’.
Or await the human slaughter that these kids will grow up to think is ‘religious’ and normal.

Just when will Western authorities find the courage to proscribe these hoodlum abuses?

  3. “Compulsory schooling is a travesty.”
No, this isn’t right. Listen, I understand why people nowadays often think school is useless. But the idea of compulsory schooling is that every citizen can read, write and do some math. Maybe learn some biology, geography, physics, and so on.
The indoctrination going on in today’s US is wrong, obviously, but I would warn from dismissing schooling as something bad as a whole. Just reform it to make it apolitical. For a civilization to flourish it’s important the people are able to read and write and understand contracts, laws, etc.
