2020 Presidential Hopeful Joe Biden Obama’s Replacement for Hillary Clinton

Biden would be a total joke were it not for the fact that he now leads the polls in the caravan of crazies heading for DNC primary nomination. link

But rather than a joke, Biden is Obama’s defiant continuation of the unsolicited ‘Fundamental Transformation of America’.

Game of Thrones fans are calling on HBO to remake the show’s final season, circulating a petition that is fast approaching one million signatures. Attorney General William Barr: Explanations for Government Spying on Trump Campaign ‘Don’t Hang Together’

Attorney General William Barr said in a recent interview that the answers he has gotten to why the government began spying on the Trump campaign in 2016 are “inadequate” and have raised more questions than before.

“I’ve been trying to get answers to questions and I found that a lot of the answers have been inadequate. And I’ve also found that some of the explanations I’ve gotten don’t hang together,” Barr told Fox News’s Bill Hemmer in an exclusive interview.

Bank-Account-Raiding Goznym Malware Bust: Five Suspects Collared, Five Still on the Run. $100m Feared Stolen

Ten people have been accused of masterminded the theft of roughly $100m from bank accounts using the Goznym malware. Five have been arrested, charged, and are facing prosecution, and five have been indicted and remain at large. An eleventh person linked to the software nasty is awaiting sentencing after admitting his crimes.

Goznym was a highly sophisticated piece of Windows malware that raided the online bank accounts of some 40,000 victims: it would lurk on PCs waiting for folks to log into their accounts, snatch those details, and pass them onto crooks who would then clean out the accounts. The Feds and cops made their move, smashing the crime ring by nabbing its suspected members, after dismantling the Avalanche server network, which was set up to spam out emails that tricked victims into downloading and installing software nasties like Goznym.

Barr Promises Country Will Know ‘Exactly What Happened’

Attorney General William Barr said in an interview Congress’ attempts to hold him in contempt are part of the “usual … political circus” and he’s determined to uncover “exactly what happened” when the Obama administration launched a counterintelligence operation against the 2016 Trump campaign.

“The first step is to find out exactly what happened, and we’re trying to get our arms around that, getting all the relevant information from the various agencies and starting to talk to some of the people that have information,” Barr explained.

His comments came in an exclusive interview with Fox News’ Bill Hemmer during a trip to El Salvador in which he met with law enforcement officials.

Barr fired back at Democrats who have criticized his handling of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report. He called House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s claim he lied to Congress ‘ laughable’ and dismissed an attempt to hold him in contempt of Congress.

“That’s part of the usual … political circus that’s being played out. It doesn’t surprise me,” he said.

Barr said there’s much to be learned about the Obama administration’s use of a debunked, anti-Trump dossier funded by Hillary Clinton’s campaign to obtain warrants to spy in the Trump campaign.

‘Coup’ Characters Could ‘End Up Ratting Each Other Out’

Rush Limbaugh: ‘This is so delicious’

Washington has entered a new era. The report from special counsel Robert Mueller put to rest claims the Trump campaign in 2016 colluded with Russia. There are no charges coming, he made clear.

So now, President Trump’s attorney general, William Barr, is probing the origins of the investigation, and, says talk-radio host Rush Limbaugh, former Obama administration officials are starting to get worried.

“All of these participants in the coup are beginning to accuse each other. This is so delicious,” he said. “[Former CIA chief John] Brennan and [fired FBI chief James] Comey are going at it over who first put the unverified dossier into the intelligence briefing.”

Limbaugh said: “Folks, it’s like rats scurrying amidst the ship to try to get off of it. They’re all out there trying to say, ‘I didn’t do it; you did it.’“

Dad Tricks Suspected Pedo Into Meeting 13-Year-Old, Detains Until Police Arrive

Vigilant parent set up trap to capture 29-year-old man who contacted child on Facebook

A dad in Indiana is being hailed as a hero for taking a suspected child predator off the street.

According to the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, the dad was able to fool accused pedophile Brandon Ruff, 29, into coming over to his home to meet with a 13-year-old child.

The father took action after he saw a Facebook message from Ruff to his child, as reported by Tribune News Wire:

Sheriff Jerry Goodin says the dad was checking his child’s Facebook when he noticed 29-year-old Brandon Ruff making contact with the child.

By pretending to be his child, Sheriff Goodin says the dad was able to get Ruff to come to the family’s home in rural Scott County to meet who he thought was the 13-year-old. When Ruff arrived on Wednesday, he was met by the father, who held him until deputies arrived…

The sheriff’s office urges parents to remain vigilant in monitoring their children’s Facebook profiles, especially messenger apps.

Dealing With Radicals

The great pundit James Bowman recently said, “The biggest mistake conservatives make is to suppose that Democrats control the media. In fact, the power relationship is the other way around: The media control the Democrats.” His remark sheds light on the convulsions going on in the Democratic Party right now. There’s a power struggle in the media for who will set the agenda and issue orders. The resulting confusion is trickling down to Democrat politicians, who aren’t sure how and to whom they’re supposed to submit these days. …

After their mistake in letting the masses talk back to them online, the media would retreat from their utopian rhetoric about the online world. Now the media would say the internet was full of Nazis and that systematic changes were needed to separate Real News from Fake News. The time had come to reclaim their authority over the masses. …

The change is that the modern leftist believes, and believes correctly, that capitalist mass culture can be co-opted for leftist indoctrination and for their own economic benefit. T.S. Eliot’s “Distracted from distraction by distraction” has gone from an indictment of modern living to why leftists cheer it. Why else do they inject pop culture and media commentary with Marxist critical theory? A Marxist might say that it’s in their class interest to do so. By making Frankfurt School dogma (“critical theory”) a crucial component of entertainment, they ensure you should know critical theory to get a job in entertainment. They’re making their useless knowledge and degrees indispensable to production.

Gardasil’s Fraudulent Research Revealed: There Will be Legal Consequences, Says Attorney Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Attorney Robert F. Homeless Population Explodes in Liberal San Francisco, So They’re Moving Onto Makeshift Boats in Bay

San Francisco is one of the most expensive cities in the U.S. in which to live. Real estate prices are through the roof — the median price of a small two-bedroom home is $1.3 million; a family making nearly $120,000 annually is actually considered low income.

And unfortunately, some people are falling through the cracks.

“A federal count shows the number of homeless people increased by double-digit percentages in three San Francisco Bay Area counties over two years as the region struggled to tackle the growing problem, including 17% in San Francisco and 43% in the county that includes Oakland,” the Associated Press reports.

John Paul Stevens is Still Trying to Defend the Kelo Debacle

ohn Paul Stevens has had it rough. In 2005, Stevens, then an associate justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, authored one of the worst SCOTUS decisions of the past 50 years. Kelo v. City of New London let a local government bulldoze a working-class neighborhood so that private developers would have a blank slate on which to build a luxury hotel, a conference center, and various other upscale amenities. The city’s goal was to erase that existing community via eminent domain and replace it with a new commercial district that would (maybe? hopefully?) fill the local coffers with more abundant tax dollars.

Stevens, the poor soul, has been catching hell for this lousy ruling ever since. Kelo is “the most un-American thing that can be done,” declared Democratic Rep. Maxine Waters of California, an outspoken liberal. Her ideological opposite, conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh, has said that Kelo “bastardized” the Constitution. “Government can kick the little guy out of his or her homes and sell those [homes] to a big developer,” Limbaugh objected. Hating Kelo would seem to be the one thing that can bring a divided America together.

In 2011, about a year after he retired from the Supreme Court, Stevens apparently grew tired of the controversy and decided to respond to his critics. “The Kelo majority opinion remains unpopular,” Stevens acknowledged in a speech at the University of Alabama School of Law. […] The destructive ruling paved the way for atrocious real world consequences. It also further mangled the Takings Clause, which forbids the government from using eminent domain for anything less than a legitimate “public use,” a concept that has traditionally been understood to apply to things like roads or bridges—not to swanky redevelopment schemes run by for-profit enterprises. But that constitutional requirement was lost in the eyes of Stevens. “The disposition of this case,” he wrote in Kelo, “turns on the question whether the City’s development plan serves a ‘public purpose.’“ Critics like Root, Stevens grumbled in 2011, “mis-described” the case.

Stevens’ principal defense of Kelo is that he had no choice, that his hands were tied. For one thing, he writes in “The Making of a Justice”, the Supreme Court “had a duty to give deference” to “the state courts’ evaluation of the particular development plan that gave rise to the litigation.” He is referring to the Connecticut Supreme Court’s 2004 decision allowing the use of Eminent Domain to proceed against Susette Kelo and a number of her neighbors.

What Stevens neglects to mention is that Connecticut Supreme Court Justice Richard M. Palmer, one of the four justices who voted against the homeowners and thus directly precipitated their appeal to SCOTUS, personally apologized to Susette Kelo in 2010, saying he “would have voted differently” if only he knew better at the time. As reported by Jeff Benedict of The Hartford Courant, who was standing there when it happened, “Palmer turned to Susette, took her hand and offered a heartfelt apology. Tears trickled down her red cheeks. It was the first time in the 12-year saga that anyone had uttered the words ‘I’m sorry.’“ So much for the wisdom of deferring to that state court.[…]

[NOTE: Kelo remains an undeveloped disaster. They use the property they took as a dump site. Read the wiki.]

New Deep-Sea Coral Species Discovered Off Point Reyes Coast

A tiny, yellow coral in the deep ocean waters off the coast of Point Reyes National Seashore served as a reminder to local marine researchers that no matter how many times they may look, there may be something new to discover.

The first sighting of the newly discovered species, Chromoplexaura cordellbankensis, dates back to at least 2004 when researchers in submersibles were studying the depths of the Cordell Bank National Marine Sanctuary about 50 miles northwest of San Francisco. But it wasn’t until California Academy of Sciences researcher Gary Williams and the sanctuary’s research coordinator Danielle Lipski came upon the bright yellow coral once again in 2018 on Cordell Bank that a sample was taken back up to the surface.

Pilot Ejects Before F-16 Crashes Into Warehouse

MARCH AIR RESERVE BASE, Calif. — An F-16 fighter jet crashed at March Air Reserve Base Thursday afternoon, but the pilot ejected before impact, base officials said.

The jet crashed at the end of a runway at around 3:30 p.m., according to public affairs officer Maj. Perry Covington. The pilot ejected and was not injured, nor was anyone on the ground, Covington said.

Helicopter video from the scene showed a large hole in the roof of a commercial building near the base, which is presumably where the plane crashed. At least six fire engines and many more emergency vehicles were parked outside the building.

California Highway Patrol officials shut down both directions of the 215 Freeway between Harley Knox Boulevard and Cactus Avenue as first responders continued working at the scene…

Potty-Mouthed 14-Year-Old Anti-PC Comedian With Nearly 1million YouTube Followers Vows to Keep Making Her Videos After Coming Under Fire for Donning a Hijab and Mocking Muslims

The Buzzfeed article described Soph as ‘a cherubic white girl mocking Islamic dress while lecturing her hundreds of thousands of followers about Muslim ‘rape gangs,’ social justice ‘homos,’ and the evils wrought by George Soros.’

It points out instances in which the teen’s ‘comedy’ videos seem to veer into racism or anti-gay sentiments.

The author goes on to criticize YouTube for allowing Soph’s controversial videos, which the teen has defended as being comedic.

A YouTube spokesperson said in a statement to DailyMail.com: ‘YouTube is an open platform where anyone may post videos as long as they comply with our Community Guidelines. This may include content that some find offensive. …

According to YouTube, Soph’s channel had been reviewed and while two videos were removed, the company found that the vast majority of her videos did not violate their policies.

Soph, whose channel grew about 10 per cent to 880,000 followers in the day after the Buzzfeed article, responded in a tweet directed at the author, Joseph Bernstein.

Taming the Bench: MAGA Means Ending Judicial Precedent

“It is a maxim among these lawyers, that whatever hath been done before may legally be done again: and therefore they take special care to record all the decisions formerly made against common justice and the general reason of mankind. These, under the name of precedents, they produce as authorities, to justify the most iniquitous opinions; and the judges never fail of decreeing accordingly.” So said Anglo-Irish essayist Jonathan Swift in Gulliver’s Travels in 1726. Unfortunately, something has changed almost three centuries later:

The decisions have perhaps become even more iniquitous.

Swift was rightly mocking the notion of “judicial precedent.” Yet it’s even more preposterous in our time and place, for at least 18th-century British judges didn’t have a constitution to violate. How is the principle even remotely defensible, however, in a nation with our Constitution, the “supreme law of the land”?

One justice who apparently understands this is Clarence Thomas, who just wrote the majority opinion in a recent decision (Franchise Tax Board of California v. Hyatt) overturning a 1979 precedent. He was the ideal candidate for the task, as it has been noted that he’s not a “Court conservative” as much as an originalist. A conservative, after all, would hew to the status quo, which here means honoring precedent. In contrast, as SCOTUSblog pointed out in 2007, Thomas “believes that precedent qua precedent concerning constitutional law has no value at all; he does not give stare decisis any weight.” Thomas “believes that precedent qua precedent concerning constitutional law has no value at all; he does not give stare decisis [the notion that judicial decisions should not be undone]”.

This is why I’ve long said that Thomas is by far the best SCOTUS justice of recent decades (yes, that includes Scalia). Moreover, it’s certainly right to distinguish between Thomas’ originalism and being merely a “Court conservative,” which more and more is seeming akin to a court jester.

Tesla Driver Killed After Smashing Into Truck Had Just Enabled Autopilot — US Crash Watchdog

Flash automaker insists victim ‘immediately removed his hands from the wheel’

In a preliminary report issued on Thursday, the US National Transportation Safety Board on said that a Tesla 3 crash on March 1 in Delray Beach, Florida, occurred while the vehicle’s Autopilot system was active.

“The driver engaged the Autopilot about 10 seconds before the collision,” the report stated. “From less than 8 seconds before the crash to the time of impact, the vehicle did not detect the driver’s hands on the steering wheel. Preliminary vehicle data show that the Tesla was traveling about 68 mph when it struck the semitrailer. Neither the preliminary data nor the videos indicate that the driver or [Autopilot] executed evasive maneuvers.”

In other words, the car drove straight into the First Fleet semitrailer crossing the highway, and tore of its roof as if neither the human driver nor the AI-powered Autopilot were paying any attention.

Trump Follows Through on Threat to Cancel $1 Billion for California High-Speed Rail

The Trump administration followed through Thursday on its threat earlier this year to cancel a $929 billion grant that was meant to have funded high-speed rail rail in California.

California Governor Gavin Newsom declared in his “State of the State” address that he was cutting back the proposed San Francisco-to-Los Angeles “bullet train,” telling legislators that after years of delays and cost increases, the project “would cost too much and, respectfully, would take too long.” He still hoped to build a segment of the rail project in the Central Valley, saying the state did not want to send $3.5 billion in federal money back to President Donald Trump.

But the president had other ideas, demanding that California repay the money immediately:

WordPress De-Platforms a Popular Sharia Info Site

By M. Dowling

‘Creeping Sharia’ is a popular website providing information on sharia. On Twitter, they describe themselves as, “Documenting news on the threat of Islamic sharia law and jihad to freedoms in the U.S., and beyond.”

After 11 years, the website was taken down permanently without warning. Three weeks prior to the takedown, they were notified that they violated Pakistani sharia laws. I guess that is the complaint that ended their eleven-year run.

Recently, Michelle Malkin was warned by Twitter that a harmless tweet of hers violated Pakistani sharia laws. The tweet included drawings of Mohammed that were not at all insulting.

What is happening is insane and our politicians are mostly nowhere to be found. Private corporations now have control of free speech in the United States.

A website called ‘Muslim Statistics’ was also de-platformed by WordPress. Blogger is doing the same thing.

In the UK, there is a new definition of Islamophobia. “The new definition of Islamophobia would devastate freedom of speech. It says anyone who targets ‘expressions of Muslimness’ is racist. This means anyone who criticizes Islam is racist. This is blasphemy law by the back door”, says Brendan O’Neill of Spiked.

It seems we are headed for the same definition in our Orwellian world. I am deeply concerned about free speech in America.

IT’S NOT ONLY SITES ABOUT SHARIA, IT’S EVERYTHING ON THE RIGHT WordPress regularly de-platforms right-wing websites. I know nothing about these sites except that they are right-wing and they were de-platformed: Mtn. Forge and the Dirt People blog, now Chateau Heartiste.

This just doesn’t happen to left-wing sites.

Recently Infowars, Laura Loomer, Paul Joseph Watson, and a couple of others were de-platformed by Facebook. This is only the beginning. So many bloggers I communicated with on Facebook are gone. They weren’t extreme, just right-wing.

The Gateway Pundit posted an article Thursday about something Facebook pulled on them. Their fact checkers perverted the headline of one of their articles and then called it fake news. In fact, the article was accurate. Facebook’s fact-checkers are all left-wing and mostly far-left. They use the ridiculously biased Poynter Institute, which is funded in part by George Soros, as one of the fact checkers. The checkers distort the headline, according to the Pundit, and then they block traffic to them.

The Facebook page we post on, Capitalism Is Freedom, has traffic blocked as well. Our numbers are drastically reduced. We have 930,000 supporters but few get to see the articles. It gets worse every day.

Patreon is doing the same thing — deleting the right.

YouTube took down one of my videos today. It was a five-year-old video about a terror-time Islamist in the UK who just got out of prison — Anjem Choudary. All that was on it was him ranting.

Canadian Government Imposes ‘Social Justice’ on All Universities

The Liberal government of Canada has formulated a new program to which all universities are expected to commit. It is called “Dimensions: Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.” A “Charter” for “Dimensions” has been distributed to all university presidents, who are urged to sign, endorsing the program for their universities.

Minister for Science and Sport Kirsty Duncan launched this program, using the “independent” funding councils—The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), The National Science and Engineering Council (NSERC), and The Social Science and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC)—as the conduit for “Dimensions” grants. This is not the first time that Minister Duncan has imposed “equity, diversity, and inclusion” conditions for grants; in 2017, new diversity criteria were enunciated for the Canada Research Chair grants.

Austrian Far-Right Leader Under Fire for Ibiza Meeting Video

BERLIN — Austrian opposition parties called Friday for the country’s vice-chancellor to resign after a two German newspapers published footage of him apparently offering lucrative government contracts to a potential Russian benefactor.

The daily Sueddeutsche Zeitung and the weekly Der Spiegel published extracts of covert video allegedly showing Heinz-Christian Strache, the leader of Austria’s far-right Freedom Party, meeting a woman claiming to be interested in investing large amounts of money in the Alpine nation. The two papers said the meeting, which took place months before Austria’s parliamentary election, was clearly a trap laid to compromise the two politicians, though it’s unclear who was behind it.

In the video, the source of which the newspapers declined to reveal, Strache and party colleague Johann Gudenus are heard telling the unnamed woman she can expect lucrative construction contracts if she buys an Austrian newspaper and supports the Freedom Party. Sueddeutsche Zeitung and Der Spiegel said the footage was authenticated by a forensic video expert. It couldn’t be immediately independently verified by The Associated Press.

“It’s time to end this nightmare,” the head of Austria’s Social Democratic Party, Pamela Rendi-Wagner, said after the reports. “Strache and Gudenus must step down today.”

She urged Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz of the center-right People’s Party to take responsibility for his government allies: “He chose to enter into this coalition.”

Werner Kogler, a leading member of Austria’s opposition Green Party, also urged Kurz to dissolve the coalition “or he himself will become untenable.”…

Car Fires in the Netherlands on the Rise

Automobile fires in the Netherlands are rising at an alarming rate, according to local media.

Dutch insurance companies have reported a 9 percent increase in car fires from 2017 to 2018, as 4,359 such claims were filed in 2018, up from 4,014 in 2017.

“The number of car fires in the Netherlands increased by no less than 45 percent in the past five years,” NL Times reports. “The provinces of Utrecht, Groningen and Zeeland in particular are seeing more and more cars set alight by vandals and arsonists.”

Some 40 to 50 million euros of damage are being inflicted upon vehicles annually, insurers say.

“We have been thinking about it for a long time, but we can not explain it very well,” says Richard Weurding, managing director of the Dutch Association of Insurers. “If a car burns down, that is the conversation of the day in a community. That has a big impact, especially if it’s your own car.”

EU Citizenship Exists for Years — Moavero to Kompatscher

FM ‘stunned’ by words on double passport for Alto Adige

(ANSA) — Rome, May 14 — European Union citizenship has existed for years, Foreign Minister Enzo Moavero Milanesi said to Trentino-Alto Adige Governor Kompatscher Arno Kompatscher Tuesday after the latter told Der Spiegel Monday that German and Ladin speaking Alto Adige citizens should have double citizenship as “an intermediate step towards European citizenship”.

Moavero said he was “stunned” by what the governor had said.

Austria has repeatedly called for Alto Adige German speakers to be given a double passport.

The attack occurred in the Swedish city of Helsingborg earlier this week and saw the woman, in her 60’s, stabbed up to nine times by her attacker who fled the scene following the incident. According to a report from the Times of Israel, local Jewish leaders say the motive for the attack was anti-Semitism and that the woman was the wife of a local Jewish leader.

Italy: FI MEP, Lombardy Confindustria Chief Probed in Milan

For illegal party funding in major graft case

(ANSA) — Milan, May 15 — An MEP for former three-time premier and media magnate Silvio Berlusconi’s centre-right Forza Italia (FI) party and the Lombardy head of Italian industrial employers group Confindustria were placed under investigation for illegal party funding over a payment of over 30,000 euros on Wednesday.

FI MEP Lara Comi is under investigation for illegal party funding in a big Milan graft probe involving politicians, businesspeople and allegedly the Calabrian-based ‘Ndrangheta mafia, sources said Wednesday.

At least two regional FI high-ups have already been implicated in the probe, in which a total of 43 people were arrested earlier this month.

Marco Bonometti, the president of Confindustria’s Lombardy chapter and president of the Brescia-based company Officine Meccaniche Rezzatesi, is also being probed by Milan’s DDA anti-mafia investigators for illicit funding, investigative sources said Wednesday.

Bonometti is also being investigated as part of the sweeping kickbacks probe by Milan anti-mafia prosecutors in which the 43 arrest warrants were issued in Lombardy and Piedmont eight days ago.

Bonometti, who is considered close to FI by investigators, was questioned by magistrates over illicit funding worth 31,000 euros allegedly given to companies linked to Comi, allegedly for a consultancy, according to the sources.

Comi’s lawyer said “the consultancy was legal and there was no illegal funding”.

A key suspect in the Milan probe into kickbacks between politicians and businessmen allegedly involving the ‘Ndrangheta mafia remained under house arrest this week.

Fabio Altitonante, an FI Lombardy regional councillor, saw his plea to be released rejected Monday after a judge found he was still “influential”.

Altitonante could still commit crimes, the judge said, meaning he had to stay under house arrest.

Altitonante and an FI European election candidate, Pietro Tatarella, were among those arrested in the kickbacks probe by Milan anti-mafia prosecutors on May 7.

FI councillor Altitonante, regional undersecretary for the Expo area for the Lombardy regional government, was taken into custody along with Milanese city councillor, deputy FI regional coordinator, MP and European Parliament candidate Pietro Tatarella.

Altitonante and Tatarella had both had a precocious start leading to promising careers in the party of former three-time premier and media magnate Berliusconi, and had been dubbed ‘golden boys’.

Also arrested was a businessman in the waste management and environmental clean-up sector, Daniele D’Alfonso, who owns the Ecol-Service company.

Prosecutors said Tatarella was on D’Alfonso’s “pay book” and received 5,000 euros a month for steering contracts of waste company AMSA his way as well as other contracts in Varese and Novara, where another FI MP, Diego Sozzani, was said to be “active”.

Sozzani said he would resign if there were a “shadow” of proof against him.

Tatarella was caught on a wiretap urging other suspects: “let’s try and get into the area of the former Expo”.

Another of those arrested, ex FI provincial coordinator in Varese Gioacchino Caianiello, was said to be the “puppet master” for many of the kickbacks.

Illicit funding to the nationalist Brothers of Italy (FdI) party was also unearthed, prosecutors said, a claim the party denied.

Prosecutors said there was also an episode of “instigation to corruption” regarding Lombardy Governor Attilio Fontana, who is the injured party and is not under investigation.

“I’m the injured party, I’ll talk to the prosecutors,” Fontana said.

Prosecutors said they were “evaluating the position” of Fontana, who is accused of abuse of office in relation to the appointment of a former law partner to a regional post.

Overall, some 43 warrants were issued in the probe against two criminal groups, operating between Milan and Varese and made up of local politicians, civil servants and business people, some with alleged ‘Ndrangheta links.

Those served warrants are accused of conspiracy to commit crimes aggravated by setting up a mafia type organisation, corruption and bid rigging, aimed at sharing out pubic contracts.

New Definition of the Kilogram Comes Into Force

The redefinition of four units of the International System of Units (SI) will come into effect on Monday 20 May meaning that all seven base units are now based on fundamental physical constants. The kilogram, the ampere, the kelvin and the mole are now defined in terms of physical constants rather than an object or phenomenon. The decision to redefine of the four SI base units was taken in November 2018 when meterollogists and policy-makers from 60 countries around the world met at the General Conference on Weights and Measures in Versailles, France. The change will now become a reality on 20 May to mark World Metrology Day.

There are seven base units of the SI: the second, metre, kilogram, ampere, kelvin, mole and candela. Some have long been based on physical constants. The second, for example, is set as 9 192 631 770 times the period of the radiation corresponding to the transition between the two hyperfine levels of the ground state of the caesium-133 atom. The metre, meanwhile, has been defined since 1983 as the length of the path travelled by light in vacuum during a time interval of 1/299 792 458 seconds.

The biggest change is to the kilogram, which was set by a 143-year-old platinum alloy cylinder, dubbed “Le Grand K” housed in the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) in Paris. The kilogram is now defined in terms of the Planck constant, h, which has been measured with extraordinary precision in recent years. Its agreed value will be set as 6.626 070 15 × 10-34 kg m2 s—1, with researchers able to make precise mass measurement using equipment such as the Kibble balance.

NGO Warns China Using Hollywood to Expand Authoritarian Reach

The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is using its financial clout over Hollywood to exert influence and deepen its authoritarianism by censoring alternative ideas, an expert warned a House panel on Thursday.

Christopher Walker, the vice president for studies and analysis at the National Endowment for Democracy (NED), argued that China had co-opted Hollywood to support Beijing’s authoritarian goals. Moreover, he pointed out that Beijing gained control of some U.S.-based traditional media outlets, noting that the CCP is clandestinely spreading its message on American soil via more than a dozen radio stations.

Walker’s comments came in the form of written testimony prepared for a House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence hearing focused on China’s “digital authoritarianism.”

Political Correctness is a Tool for Socialist Censorship and Thought Control

[…]

The effects of political correctness can be found most clearly where the concept originates: under the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) as Mao Zedong created the concept in 1967 to control public dissent at the start of the Cultural Revolution. The idea was simple: support the regime’s policies and you are politically correct. Oppose them, and you can be targeted and destroyed.

In its details, the CCP’s use of political correctness is different from the way it’s used in the United States and Europe, yet underneath it has the same purpose. Under the Chinese regime, it’s used as an artificial moral system to guard the policies of the CCP. In the United States, it’s used as an artificial moral system to guard socialist policies. …

Soviet defector and former propagandist Yuri Bezmenov explained in his book, “Love Letter to America,” that when a communist regime is trying to subvert a country, it attacks all of the nation’s moral and cultural foundations. These attacks take various forms, but include promotions of drug use, grassroots movements, and all forms of vices.

Yet, when the regimes take power, they will move to forbid the systems of destabilization. Bezmenov wrote that when a socialist regime is formed, it then needs to establish stability and create a “new morality.” At that point, Bezmenov explained, there will be “No more ‘grass roots’ movements. No more criticism of the State. The Press will obediently censor itself.”

Dutch Ministry of Justice Covered up ‘Serious Crimes’ By Asylum Seekers. Rape, Battery, Murder, Etc. Listed Unspecified as “Other”

Germany: 26yo Eritrean Migrant Repays Family Who Took Him in by Stabbing Their 11yo Child While Shouting ‘Die, Die, Die!’

“The boy’s mother said, ‘We always helped Abdulrahman. We do not understand why he did this to us.’

A 26-year-old Eritrean migrant repaid a German family that took him in to their home in Bavaria by allegedly stabbing their 11-year-old child with a bread knife repeatedly while shouting “die, die, die!”

Refugee Abdulrahman M. (26) was kindly welcomed at the home of the German Tina K. (34). Yet he stabbed her son Paul (11) with a bread knife on July 25, 2018. The child was seriously injured and survived […] This week, the asylum seeker from Eritrea has to appear before the court of Passau (Bavaria) for attempted murder.

After his flight from Eritrea, Abdulrahman M. lived with other refugees in a multi-family home in Vilshofen. Tina K. (34) lived with her husband and two sons in the same house and took care of the refugees, German media write including Die Welt and Süddeutsche Zeitung.

According to the prosecutor, Abdulrahman M. lured his assistant’s son into ambush in the parental home. He was actually aiming at Paul’s mother, but she was shopping with the other refugees at the time.

The asylum seeker asked the boy where his mother was and pushed him into the living room. There he knocked him down and brought out a bread knife that he had kept hidden until then. M. would have called “die, die” when he stabbed the boy. Paul reacted fearlessly and defended himself during the knife attack.

The family dog — a terrier — eventually saved his life. He bit the attacker. Then Paul was able to free himself and run out of the house. M. did not stop the chase until the boy could stop a car along the road. Paul was seriously injured in the neck and arms and legs. He had to undergo emergency surgery. He had a cut of 15 centimeters [6 inches] on the neck.

Ten months after the facts, the boy still has serious psychological problems and concentration problems, his father said. He has been going back to school for a few weeks after being admitted to a specialized clinic for months.

Statistics released to House of Commons Home Affairs Select Committee by Sir Philip Rutnam, permanent secretary at Sajid Javid’s Home Office, revealed that 739 migrants were discovered between January 2018 and February 2019, 135 of whom made landfall without being intercepted, The Times reports.

Swedes Less Positive Than Hungarians to Taking in Refugees According to New Survey

A new survey regarding attitudes towards migration across Europe has found more than half of Swedes say they do not want to see the country take in more refugees, making it one of the most migration-sceptic nations.

Around 8,000 people in Germany, Poland, Spain, Hungary, Italy, Belgium, France and Sweden were asked a series of questions in the survey by YouGov, including:

“Do you agree with the statement: ‘My country should not receive more refugees from conflict areas.’?” to which 51 percent of the Swedish respondents said they agreed, Spanish newspaper El Pais reports.

Trump Plans to Invoke Insurrection Act to Boot Illegal Immigrants

“We’re doing the Insurrection Act,” one official said.

President Donald Trump is planning on using the Insurrection Act to remove illegal immigrants from the United States, The Daily Caller has learned.

According to multiple senior administration officials, the president intends to invoke the “tremendous powers” of the act to remove illegal immigrants from the country.

“We’re doing the Insurrection Act,” one official said.

Under the Insurrection Act of 1807, the president has the authority to use the National Guard and military in order to combat “unlawful obstruction or rebellion” within U.S. borders. The act was last invoked in 1992 by George H.W. Bush to quell the Los Angeles riots, and was also used by Eisenhower in 1957 to enforce school desegregation in the south.

An official expressed concerns that Trump’s use of the act’s powers would face legal challenges, pointing to the lawsuits against the president’s travel ban from majority-Muslim countries. However, as the official noted, the travel ban ultimately prevailed in the Supreme Court.

Trump Admin Notifies 500,000+ Employers They Have Workers With Bogus Social Security Numbers

The Trump administration has notified more than 500,000 employers that some of their employees’ names do not match their reported Social Security numbers in a new move to crack down on illegal aliens.

The move is reminiscent of Ronald Reagan, who in 1986 signed into law the Immigration Reform and Control Act that put the onus on employers by making the act of knowingly hiring undocumented people a criminal offense.

Since March, the Social Security Administration has mailed out “no-match letters” to more than 570,000 employers, telling them of the mismatched information on their employers.

“Cultural Schizophrenia”: US Media No Longer Reports Facts, But Appeals to Emotions

The mainstream media in the United States has made a shift in the past few decades. Now, they appeal to emotions as opposed to reporting the facts. This “cultural schizophrenia” is tearing the U.S. apart at the seams.

Based on the conclusions to a RAND Corporation study, the mainstream media is actively sowing discord in American society, award-winning journalist Chris Hedges tells RT. The media is focusing on making two sides hate each other instead of reporting on the facts, and the majority of the public is unaware and doesn’t care that their minds are being manipulated by their own emotional responses.

The study, which was released by RAND earlier this week, states that between 1987 and 2017, news content has shifted from event— and context-based reporting to coverage that is “more subjective, relies more heavily on argumentation and advocacy, and includes more emotional appeals.” According to RT, prime-time cable news shows and online journalism lead the way in this shift to emotional and hate-based rhetoric. It has been noticed in print journalism as well, the government-funded think tank concluded. This is contributing to what RAND termed “Truth Decay.” This is described as a shift away from facts and analysis in public discourse.

Hedges claims that the deterioration of the mainstream media is “far worse” than the RAND report suggests. And he isn’t alone in that assessment.

[Comment: Globalist owned media is intentionally ensuring viewers are in a constant state of anger and outrage. This is by design. ]

Cardinal: Gender Theory Threatens Family and Christian Faith

ROME — Exposing the errors of gender theory is of the “utmost urgency” for the future of humanity and of Christianity, a Dutch cardinal told an assembly of Catholics in Rome Thursday.

Cardinal Willem Jacobus Eijk, the archbishop of Utrecht, said that gender theory is a modern development “which sets the city of the human race against the City of God, and the world order against the Christian faith,” in an address to the Rome Life Forum on the theme “City of man vs City of God — Global One World Order vs Christendom,” organized by Voice of the Family.

Danish Women Prefer Wolf-Whistles to Feminism — Study Shows Denmark is One of the Least Feminist Countries in the World

A poll, conducted by the YouGov-Cambridge Globalism Project of more than 25,000 people in 23 major countries, found that just one in six Danes consider themselves a feminist, a third said that wolf whistling at women in the street was acceptable, and two in five supported the #MeToo movement.

The startling results marks a dramatic contrast to Denmark’s neighbor Sweden, where 46 percent do, and a smaller share even than in countries like Italy, Spain and the UK, which otherwise lag far behind Denmark on gender equality.

Feminist Says Family Must be “Abolished” To ‘Dismantle Capitalism’

Feminist Sophie Lewis has written a new book in which she argues that in order to ‘dismantle capitalism’ it’s necessary to ‘abolish the family’.

Lewis was interview by left-wing website the Nation under the headline Want to Dismantle Capitalism? Abolish the Family.

According to the piece, patriarchy and capitalism combined to produce alienated workers who became “instruments of production” for the men who lorded over them.”

This led to the “heteronormativity of familial relations” and must be combated by a “radical reconceptualization of pregnancy itself”.

If by this point, you’re wondering what the hell any of this is about, don’t worry, you’re not alone.

Ocasio-Cortez: ‘Fundamentalists’ Trying to ‘Outlaw Sex That Falls Outside Their Theology’

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has joined the chorus of Democrats in speaking out against the recent enactment of several state-level abortion laws, claiming they are about “owning women” and establishing a U.S. theocracy.

“Abortion bans aren’t just about controlling women’s bodies. They’re about controlling women’s sexuality. Owning women,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted earlier Thursday morning. “From limiting birth control to banning comprehensive sex ed, US religious fundamentalists are working hard to outlaw sex that falls outside their theology.”

In a follow-up tweet, the 29-year-old freshman congresswoman contended that measures criminalizing the killing of infants expose that a woman’s right to receive an abortion “threatens a core element underpinning right-wing ideology: patriarchy.”

“It’s a brutal form of oppression to seize control of the 1 essential thing a person should command: their own body,” she added.

[Comment: So she admits, its all about sex for liberated women. For them getting pregnant is an inconvenience that gets in the way of more sex. Of patriachy word thrown in too…as well as ignoring the baby’s DNA is different than that of the mother and so is not part of the woman’s body.]

Watch: Toronto Mayor Defends Drag Queen Lap Dance in Front of Children

“I was supporting the LGBTQ community”

Toronto, Canada Mayor John Tory, defended receiving a lap dance from a drag queen at a public book store with children in attendance on Mother’s Day.

“I was supporting the LGBTQ community by being at an event that was held at Church St. that many families were present at, mother’s and children,” the mayor said when questioned about the “Mother’s Day Drag Brunch.”

In footage from the event, Tory can be seen placing cash into the thong of a man dressed in drag and patting the dancer on the back as he squatted on the mayor’s crotch.

Watch the original drag queen lap dance video below:…

When Rebel Media’s Keean Bexte confronted Tory about the incident and asked about the fact “kids were there,” Tory said, “That’s the decision of their own parents.”

Mayor Tory then chastized Bexte for “dividing the city” and pledged to continue attending events that “support the LGBTQ community.”

The book store that held the event also holds Drag Kids Brunch events as seen in the store’s Facebook posts below:

What is True Diversity?

[…]

Intrigued by this process, I asked several individuals about company recruitment procedures, shipboard priorities, employee qualifications, and the cultural and geographic range of efforts to acquire the best people possible. What I learned provided object lessons on how best to attain true diversity in a work environment.

The most important point that emerged from our discussions was that the American cult of diversity, as preached in academia and business, has a perverse nature to it. In fact, the gargantuan “diversity and inclusion” bureaucracies in this country, as Heather Mac Donald stressed in “The Diversity Delusion,” are worse than useless; they’re saturated with self-serving functionaries whose activities undermine the foundations of U.S. society—business, government, and equal treatment under the law. Is this a harsh conclusion? Consider our recent national experience. …

Conclusion: The lesson for American “diversity and inclusion” authorities is clear: They’re going about it in completely the wrong way. That is, respect for disparate cultures and experiences must be earned, not dictated, and that can only happen when individuals are respected first for their talents and contributions to common efforts.

Interest in individuals’ backgrounds naturally ensues after the person in question demonstrates his or her worthiness as a fellow student, colleague, or business associate. Then, we can explore more deeply what they’re all about. In fact, there’s a good name for that sort of curiosity, that sort of practice, and the policy it implies.

It’s called diversity.

  1. I often read the notes of Russians who, already in the conscious age, left after the collapse of the USSR to Europe or the United States. Most often it is quite educated people. They write that the degree of totalitarian madness in the West is now higher than it was once in the USSR and it is massive, unlike the USSR, where it was more for the species plus the usual Russian sloppiness, including in terms of ideology.

In the topic below, the Polish question was raised. I read the book by Jan Karski, “My Testimony to the World,” where he describes Poland in 1939 and compares the communists and the Nazis. Oddly enough, the Russians in his notes look better than the Germans thanks to this very factor of sloppiness.

LIFE in Sweden is almost ruined – next in term is thh ECONOMY

The ongoing venezualising of the Swedish economy and the monetary system risks pushing Sweden away from the group of developed countries faster and more efficiently than the ongoing slow degradation of social and political structures.
Who knows – maybe we will see a banknote of one million Swedish Crowns with PM Löfven’s obnoxious face on, even before this term is over?

    • Yes, one wonders if the two-legged rats that the foolish Swedes so blithely let in will continue to stick around for the chance to rape Swedish women and boys, or if they will depart for greener pastures once the cash handouts have dried up.

      • .
Where do you live that doesn’t have any two-legged rats in your vicinity?
In Tasmania or on the Easter Island?

        • Next door to the People’s Republic of Minnesota; not immune to the plague of two-legged rats either, but the long, harsh, frigid winters drives most of them away along with the lack of freebies.

There is still functioning law and order in the state in which I reside, and the locals take a very dim view of rape. The few cases I know of, one involving an african and the other a local both resulted in the rapists being sentenced to spend the next several decades in prison.

  3. Wonder if this former State Department sketchball, ms Thornton, is breaking the law in advising communist China on how to hinder fair trade negotiations. Let’s take her to court for a few years to find out!

    • I don’t generally trust Politico. It has a leftist bent. However, since you put the links in, I’ll take a look.

      • Oh, wait. That’s Politico’s Europe page. It looks like the Austrians have a huge scandal to handle. Too bad about Strache, but at least he’s straightforward about his sins – i.e., “It was dumb and I was wrong”.

Their US page is nearly all anti-Trump all the time. Look at this essay from NeverTrumper “conservative”, Rich Lowry (of National Review fame):

What if Donald Trump hasn’t driven Democrats insane, sending them into a spiral of self-defeating radicalism, but instead made them shockingly pragmatic?

Biden’s early strength suggests it may be the latter, that the reaction to Trump is so intense that it has crossed some sort of event horizon from fevered fantasy of his leaving office early via resignation or impeachment to a cold-eyed, win-at-any-cost practicality.

Most of us find Biden to be a sleazy, beholden-to-China mess. IIRC, he was found guilty of plagiarism three separate times. Steal much, Joe?

      • I know, it was just for reference. Now Strache resigned just before the eu elections, so this is not a great time for FPÖ which was supposed to join populist movement. Also Kurz ended the government, so new elections.

“Among other things, in the incriminated video the former vice-chancellor Strache also says he wants to boycott the Austrian and Bolzano-based entrepreneur by adoption Hans Peter Haselsteiner. To the alleged Russian oligarch with whom he speaks in Ibiza, Strache advises “to found a company like Strabag”, that is the company of Haselsteiner, giant of asphalt at European level. “When I am in government – adds Strache – I no longer want to have anything to do with Haselsteiner and you will have his contracts”. The entrepreneur, who has been living with his family in Bolzano for some time, has repeatedly spoken out against Strache’s party, also supporting nominations against the Austrian right with donations.”
        https://www.repubblica.it/esteri/2019/05/18/news/austria_la_coalizione_di_governo_si_spacca_per_il_video_sui_legami_dell_ultradestra_con_i_russi-226561435/?refresh_ce

The international institutions and financial banks are behind this. The timing is perfect, so they can double the outcome, destroy the government of austria, which was going too populist, and at the same time save their bills.

  4. Soph is Alia Atreides from Dune.
Everything is filled with symbols. For example, today Arnold received a stab in the back. We waited for the Riot Machine, and we will be killed by [barbarians].
And now begins the “Crusade” against children.
In our country at some period few children were born – now it is called the “demographic hole”.
Soph and Greta also belong to a small generation. Someone decided to do light work – clean this hole. It’s easier than killing baby bumers.

I know for sure: if you stand under the banner, then you will be led to the slaughter.

  5. Apparently Tommy Robinson’s campaign stop was attacked in Oldham by the MDL (Muslim Defense League) where they were throwing eggs and bricks at supporters which included men, women and children. The MDL was from another city. A few videos are out

A few disturbing details are they police may have marched them there to protest. They did nothing except keep the groups separated even when chucks of bricks were being thrown. Tommy shut down his campaign stop.
