“I Will Not Yield” — in Epic Rant, Jim Jordan Accuses Dems of Sweeping ‘Spygate’ Coverup

As Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee — led by Chairman Jerry Nadler — voted to hold AG William Barr in contempt on Wednesday, one Republican wasn’t having it.

During a heated diatribe during the vote, Jordan refused to yield and instead accused Democrats of trying to punish Barr for vowing to expose skullduggery by the Democrats and the Deep State during the campaign — particularly as it pertains to the provenance of the Russia collusion probe.

When it came his turn to speak, Jordan laid out everything Barr had said about his efforts to investigate exactly how the Russia probe was initiated, and look into suspicions that senior FBI and DoJ officials colluded with the Democrats to create an “insurance policy” to stop Trump. Jordan accused the Democrats of trying to punish Barr for simply following the law, while covering up for the FBI’s malfeasance and politically motivated interference.

An Elderly Man is Dead After a Young Woman Makes False Accusation of Sexual Assault Against Him

A 62-year-old Utah man is dead after a young woman falsely accused him of sexual assault.

What are the details?

An unnamed 16-year-old teenager called her 17-year-old brother and told him that an elderly man sexually assaulted her on a bus. The teen said that the man — later identified as Michael Fife — assaulted her while the two were riding a city bus.

Just minutes after hearing about the alleged incident — which took place in April — the teen’s brother tracked Fife down when the bus made a stop and Fife got off.

According to a news release by the Logan City Police Department, the teen’s brother rushed Fife, assaulting him, and knocking him to the ground.

Barr: How George Soros is Remaking the Judicial System in His Image

Former Rep. Bob Barr — Contributor

George Soros, along with Michael Bloomberg, has become the man conservatives love to hate; and with good reason. He harbors extreme left-wing political views, he is fabulously wealthy, and he has long-exhibited a willingness to “put his money where his mouth is.”

Perhaps even more important than his wealth, however, is the fact that Soros understands that to effect lasting and systemic societal change, requires a consistent focus on politics at the local level. In this, Soros shares an understanding with Bloomberg; but where the former New York Mayor continues to focus like a laser on one issue — gun control — Soros is intent on achieving a far broader goal — to alter the basic structure of our judicial system.

Soros cleverly — and smartly — has concluded that one of the most effective vehicles through which to accomplish this ambitious goal, is to fund left-leaning candidates for the one elected office that perhaps more than any other is able to change the fundamental values by which communities function — the local district attorney or “D.A.” While Soros’ crusade to implement this plan has not met with success in every instance, his victories in just the past four years have been significant.

Brady Should Apologize to Gun Owners for Vigil Exploitation

While the Brady Campaign has expressed sorrow that some anti-gun politicians tried to turn a vigil for victims of the STEM School Highlands Ranch shooting into a gun control event, Brady should apologize to all American gun owners for allowing the attempted exploitation to happen, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms said today.

The event was reportedly organized by a Brady youth group called “Team Enough.” But Colorado Sen. Michael Bennet, who is among 23 Democrats now running for president, and Democrat Congressman Jason Crow reportedly tried to make this into a gun control campaign platform, and it backfired, according to published reports.

“The students and parents who attended the vigil didn’t deserve that,” said CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb, “and neither do tens of millions of law-abiding gun owners whose rights are under constant attack. No honest gun owner is responsible for the STEM high school incident, and their rights should not be scapegoated by headline-hunting politicians trying to capitalize on tragedy.

Buchanan: Are All the World’s Problems Ours?

Authored by Patrick Buchanan via Buchanan.org

In 2003, George W. Bush took us to war to liberate Iraq from the despotism of Saddam Hussein and convert that nation into a beacon of freedom and prosperity in the Middle East.

Tuesday, Mike Pompeo flew clandestinely into Baghdad, met with the prime minister and flew out in four hours. The visit was kept secret, to prevent an attack on the Americans or the secretary of state.

Query: How successful was Operation Iraqi Freedom, which cost 4,500 U.S. lives, 40,000 wounded and $1 trillion, if, 15 years after our victory, our secretary of state must, for his own security, sneak into the Iraqi capital?

Florida Man Faces Foreclosure Over Unmowed Yard

Retiree Jim Ficken of Dunedin, Florida, may lose his home because his front lawn grass grew too high while he was out of town.

Ficken was held liable for 57 $500 fines for the days his grass went uncut while he was out of town caring for his dead mother’s estate. “The grass did what grass does… and a code inspector saw it was more than the 10 inches the city allows and Jim was on the hook,” said Institute for Justice Attorney Andrew Ward, one of the men representing him.

A friend, who he had enlisted to care for his lawn, died suddenly while Ficken was away. Furthermore, Ficken claims he was not even made aware of the fines until they were well out of control. Now, on Tuesday, the state has moved to collect the money owed by foreclosing on his home. “I’m trying not to think about it but I’ll be booted out of this house and I’ll have to find another place to live,” Ficken said.

“We’re arguing in our lawsuit that limitless fines are, in fact, unconstitutional,” said another Institute for Justice attorney, Ari Bargil. “In February, the U.S. Supreme Court unanimously ruled the 8th Amendment prohibits cities from imposing excessive fines,” Ward said.

In response to Ficken’s suit against the local government, the city released this statement:…

Four Reasons to Choose Heirloom Seeds for Your Garden

Shopping for vegetable seeds, whether online or locally, you will come across two different types: hybrid and heirloom. It’s important to always choose heirloom if you can, and there are several reasons for this.

Hybrid seeds are created by crossing two selected varieties, sometimes resulting in vigorous plants that yield more than those plants that grow from heirloom seeds. Heirloom vegetables, on the other hand, are the “old-time” varieties. They are open-pollinated instead of hybrid and saved and handed down through multiple generations of families. Neither are bad options, per se, but heirloom seeds are better and there a few reasons why you should try to use them as opposed to hybrid seeds.

1. COST

Usually, heirloom seeds cost less than hybrid seeds. Check the catalogs and you’ll notice this. But the great news is that heirloom seeds reduce their cost further because you can save your own seeds. If you choose to do this, the price drops to nearly zero for the heirlooms. This will also lead you toward a more self-sufficient lifestyle.

2. NON-UNIFORMITY

The second advantage of heirloom vegetables is that they are “less uniform” than hybrids. This may seem like a con, however, since heirloom seeds are less uniform, they often don’t ripen all at once, and there will be less chance your food will be wasted. Commercial growers love the uniformity of hybrids because they can pick the crop in one fell swoop and ship the vegetables to several stores for purchase all at once. But for the average everyday home gardener, a gradual supply of fresh produce is usually preferable to the glut of the all-at-once harvest that many hybrids provide.

Hypocrite Hillary Blames ‘Internet Conspiracy Fetishizing’ For Loss to Trump

Hillary Clinton treated an audience to a prime cut of her bitterness this week, with added hypocrite sauce, as she declared that Republicans must choose between following the rule of law or following “the rule of Trump.”

“We’ll see whether it’s the rule of law or the rule of Trump that the Republicans in the Congress and in the courts are going to abide by,” Clinton said, referring to the president’s vow to invoke executive privilege and ignore Congressional subpoenas concerning the Russia report.

As many noted, Hillary Clinton really shouldn’t be lecturing anyone regarding the rule of law:

James Woods Quits Twitter After Social Media Giants Suspends Him Over Tweet Paraphrasing Philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Twitter demanded that I rescind my tweet paraphrasing Emerson,” James Woods said in a statement to The Daily Wire. “It now seems they have chosen to delete that tweet from my account without my permission. Until free speech is allowed on Twitter, I will not be permitted to participate in our democracy with my voice. As long as Jack Dorsey remains the coward he seems to be, my Twitter days are in the past.”

Last month, Twitter banned conservative actor James Woods over the for paraphrasing American essayist, poet and philosopher Ralph Waldo Emerson, for “abusive behavior.”

Kentucky Judges Pre-Signed Blank Legal Documents So That Child Services Could Take Custody of Kids on Nights and Weekends

Kentucky’s Cabinet for Health and Family Services—the state agency that provides child protective services—has a practice of obtaining blank emergency custody orders pre-signed by judges. Social workers then fill out the documents with the necessary information after they’ve been signed by a judge and then use them to take custody of children from parents who have come under investigation. Let me repeat that: no judge actually reviews these orders, or the evidence used to justify separating a family, before signing them.

This practice is a galling abuse of parents’ rights and basic civil liberties. It only came to an end after an investigative report by WDRB-41 spotlighted the practice.

Jho Low was indicted last year on conspiracy charges related to a scam bilking 1MBD of hundreds of millions of dollars, but will face additional charges along with Pras Michel — Low, however remains at large.

The Deadline Passes and Trump Brings Down the Tariff Hammer — China Immediately Promises to Retaliate

Trump has figured out that they have been trying to run out the clock on his administration, and this time he is putting his foot down

At 12:01 AM eastern time on Friday, President Trump followed through on his threats and hit China with a massive tariff increase.

As you will see below, China immediately pledged to retaliate. U.S. and Chinese officials will continue to negotiate throughout the day on Friday, but if U.S. officials were optimistic that a deal was imminent the trigger never would have been pulled on these tariffs. At this point the gap between the negotiating positions of the two sides is still enormous, and that does not seem likely to change. The Chinese have been taking advantage of the United States for decades, and they wish to continue doing so. Meanwhile, President Trump and his advisers are absolutely determined to level the playing field. Unless one of the parties backs down in a major way, there is not going to be a trade agreement and this trade war is about to get very real, and that is extremely bad news for the global economy…

Trump has figured out that they have been trying to run out the clock on his administration, and this time he is putting his foot down.

And without a doubt, it is definitely good to see a presidential administration finally standing up to the Chinese. They have been ruthlessly taking advantage of us and ripping us off blind for years, and that must stop.

Here is just one example of this that Trump often likes to share…

“When a car is sent to the United States from China, there is a Tariff to be paid of 2 1/2%. When a car is sent to China from the United States, there is a Tariff to be paid of 25%,” Trump tweetedApril 9. “Does that sound like free or fair trade. No, it sounds like STUPID TRADE — going on for years!”

Of course Trump is exactly correct. It is not “free trade” and it is definitely not “fair trade”. If they want to impose 25 percent tariffs on our auto industry, they should expect the same treatment for their key industries in return.

Trump Calls for Arrest and Prosecution of John Kerry for Violating Logan Act [Video]

After Trump responded to the reporters ridiculous question about his son, Don Jr., Trump was asked about what caused him to send an aircraft carrier near to Iran? He was also asked if he’s risked confrontation with Iran by sending it there? Trump told the reporters, “What I’d like to see from Iran—I’d like to see them call me. You know, John Kerry speaks to them a lot. John Kerry tells them not to call.”

Trump then accused former Secretary of State John Kerry of violating the Logan Act. “That’s a violation of the Logan Act, and frankly he should be prosecuted on that, but my people don’t want to do anything that’s—only the Democrats do that kind of stuff, you know.”

President Trump continued, “If it were the opposite way, they would prosecute him under the Logan Act, but John Kerry violated the Logan Act.He’s talking to Iran and has been, has many meetings and many phone calls and he’s telling them what to do. That’s a total violation of the Logan Act.”

‘Zuckerberg’s Power is Unprecedented and Un-American’

Facebook CO-FOUNDER says the social network’s boss is too powerful and the government should break up ‘dangerous’ tech giant

Facebook co-founder Chris Hughes has called for federal regulators to break up the company, saying that CEO Mark Zuckerberg is too powerful and that the company is an effective monopoly.

‘It is time to break up Facebook,’ Hughes, who was Zuckerberg’s Harvard roommate, wrote in a searing op-ed for the New York Times on Thursday. ‘Mark’s power is unprecedented and un-American.’

Hughes, 35, helped build Facebook from the beginning, and was a key creator in products like the social network’s New Feed. He left the company in 2007 to join Barack Obama’s first presidential campaign, and says he liquidated his Facebook stock in 2012.

Now, Hughes says he has watched with horror as the company he helped create has grown into a behemoth through the acquisitions of Instagram and WhatsApp, threatening to crush free speech and stifle competitive innovation.

Admirers Still Drawn to Mussolini’s Tomb in Predappio

On the anniversary of his death, the family crypt finally reopens after a year and half of renovations

Franco Giubilei Lined up in rows of four, some 300 ‘comrades’ marched solemnly to the cemetery of Predappio, where the tomb of former Fascist dictator, Benito Mussolini lies. The march happens three times a year, when supporters make the trek to the town of Emilia-Romagna, chanting Fascist phrases and “Duce, Duce, Duce” along the way. The town’s inhabitants are used to the crowds that make the pilgrimage. They’re dressed in black, and a Catholic priest recites a rosary. They’ve come to commemorate his birth (on July 29, 1883), his death (April, 28, 1945) and the so-called March on Rome, which brought his party to power in Italy in October 1922. As an exception this weekend, Mussolini’s family crypt was also reopened. The crypt closed a year and a half ago to undergo restoration and was only reopened to the heirs last October 28.

Earlier last week on April 25, supporters from Lazio unfurled a banner in honor of Mussolini in Milan, adding to the controversy that was the “Fascist-Communist derby”. However, yesterday’s gathering at the cemetery was more peaceful. “A year ago, about 600 people came for Mussolini’s death, this time it was about half, which is a good sign,” said mayor Giorgio Frassineti, an Italian politician of the Democratic Party, whose second and last term ends with the elections in May. “It is the 30 manifestation I’ve witnessed and I truly can no longer bear it; it’s not what Predappio deserves. These are people who don’t help us achieve anything, they come here to celebrate the regime without thinking that demonstrations were forbidden under fascism. The police can film the Roman salute and the courts can weigh their judgements, but this is something you can only fight with culture, with schools and study centers like the one we want to open in Predappio that would have a museum wing on Fascism. We’ve already collected 3.5 million euros, we’re still short 1.5 million euros.”…

France: The Propaganda War on the Gilets Jaunes

In both France and Britain, poisonous lies are being spread about the rebellious French workers.

Last week, during a raucous May Day protest, the gilets jaunes ransacked Paris’s Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital. Thirty-two protesters were arrested. This was an ‘attack’ by ‘anti-capitalist, ultra-left militants’, according to France’s interior minister Christophe Castaner.

Except it wasn’t. Video footage of the incident clearly shows the protesters seeking refuge as they are chased by scores of police officers firing tear-gas grenades and beating them with batons. The protesters were all released without charge and the interior minister was forced to row back on his claim.

Baseless smears of this kind against the gilets jaunes, whether from the media or the government, are nothing new.

French Church Vandalised Twice in Two Weeks

Attacks against Christian places of worship continue to occur in France with a church in the commune of Manduel having been vandalised twice in just ten days and another in Toulouse being vandalised with the words “Allah u Ackbar” written on its door.

The attacks in Manduel occurred at the church of Saint-Genest, with the latest incident occurring earlier this week, according to a report from French newspaper Midi Libre. The newspaper reports that the paschal candles and those dedicated to the Virgin Mary were both set on fire and the power supply to the church’s main organ was also damaged.

Police who arrived on the scene on the day after the vandalism say they also found the remains of food and drink, likely that were consumed by the attackers, and confirmed they have launched a full investigation into the desecration.

French Notre-Dame MP Responds to Restoration Critics

The reconstruction of Notre-Dame after fire will be an “exemplary project” that will “not deviate from rules safeguarding heritage”, the MP in charge has said, responding to critics this week.

Cathy Racon-Bouzon, LREM MP, addressed several concerns and criticisms of the proposed project this week, as plans continue to rebuild the famous Paris cathedral that was partly destroyed by fire in April.

Criticism of the proposed rebuilding and restoration plans began after President Emmanuel Macron said that he would work to ensure the monument was rebuilt within five years.

Several heritage experts rejected Mr Macron’s claims — which were made just 24 hours after the incident — with many saying that this time constraint was too short for such a project, and had been decided upon apparently without any knowledge or investigation into the extent of the cathedral damage or its requirements.

A new Danish party that wants Islam banned and hundreds of thousands of Muslims deported could win seats in Denmark’s parliament in the upcoming election, an opinion poll showed.

The party “Stram Kurs”, which means Hard Line, was founded in 2017 by lawyer Rasmus Paludan who first came to public attention by posting anti-Islam YouTube videos.

His stunts have included publicly burning the Koran, sometimes wrapped in bacon, in what he calls a tribute to free speech.

Rebelling Against ‘Globalism’ & A ‘New World Order’ Doesn’t Make Farage an ‘Anti-Semite’

The accusation was aired against Nigel Farage in a two-part hit-piece by the Guardian

So, what are these vile views that Farage is promulgating?

On the left: “They also want to abolish the nation state — they want to get rid of it. They want to replace it with the globalist project, and the European Union is the prototype for the new world order.”

On Bilderberg: “These lunatics genuinely believe that they know what’s best for us, genuinely believe in this concept of global government, and it will be a disaster.”

On the coalition of international corporations and neoliberal governments: “It all fits together, doesn’t it? Hand in glove — the big businesses, the bureaucrats, they have the sole right to make laws. It all fits together. They’re all very happy with the world they’re creating.”

This is the most outrageous content the Guardian could dig up over six separate lengthy appearances.

One may disagree with Farage on the extent and benefits of internationalization, but surely even the most ardent Europhiles, CEOs of multinationals, and those who believe that the climate can only be saved by cross-border agreements, will admit that their practices and intentions have great implications for the future of the nation state and the people living inside one.

Peter Lundgren told Swedish national radio broadcaster Sveriges Radio that the party had previously wanted to look into the possibility of a referendum on EU membership but had changed course, with Lundgren arguing that there was now more of an opportunity for sovereigntist parties to have influence than in prior years.

UK: Brexit Party Accepts Applications From Would-be Members of Parliament: Politicians Need Not Apply

Nigel Farage’s new Brexit Party has started accepting applications for would-be parliamentary candidates to stand in the next Westminster election, but the profile for the ideal entrant makes clear one particular demographic is less welcome.

In an email sent to the party’s 90,000 paying supporters, the Brexit Party invited followers to consider becoming a parliamentary candidate, listing the qualities the party considered positives for selection. Notably, the invitation made clear they were looking for candidates who did not have political experience, but who had worked and served in the real world instead.

The Eagle and the Dragon: Destined for Rivalry

by Srdja Trifkovic

A new round in the U.S.-China trade dispute has started in earnest. Last Sunday (May 5) President Donald Trump tweeted that he would raise the current 10 percent tariff on $200 billion worth of Chinese imports to 25 percent. The President doubled down on his trade war threats with China early today (May 10), just hours after last Sunday’s decision went into effect. In addition he warned that he’d continue raising tariffs on Chinese imports if there was no agreement: the Chinese “should not renegotiate deals with the U.S. at the last minute.”

Only last week, U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin sounded optimistic about the latest round of bilateral negotiations, with Mnuchin telling Fox Business that the deal was “close to done.” The Chinese then suddenly revised some of the key provisions of the 150-page draft agreement. Specifically they tried to soften the language on the theft of intellectual property, financial services, forced technology transfers, and currency manipulation. Lighthizer and Mnuchin were taken aback at the extent of the changes in the draft and on Monday told reporters that Chinese backtracking had prompted Trump’s tariff order.

The current talks in Washington between China’s trade delegation and U.S. officials nevertheless will continue. Trump’s team has a strong hand, while the Chinese may have overplayed theirs. The U.S. economy grew by an annualized 3.2 percent in the first quarter of 2019, easily beating market expectations and following a 2.2 percent expansion in the previous three-month period. By contrast, on a quarter-on-quarter basis, the Chinese economy grew 1.4 percent in the first quarter, compared to a 1.5 percent expansion in the previous period. It was the weakest quarterly growth rate since the first quarter of 2016. New U.S. tariffs could further slow China’s growth rate and jeopardize President Xi Jinping ambitious “Made in China 2025” program of economic, technical and scientific development. Right now China needs an agreement far more badly than the U.S.

Germany: Citizenship for Polygamous Migrants?

The German government has withdrawn proposed legislation that would have banned immigrants in polygamous marriages from obtaining German citizenship. The proposed ban had been included in draft changes to Germany’s naturalization law, but was quietly removed from the final text, apparently in the interests of political correctness and multiculturalism.

Although German law clearly prohibits polygamy for German nationals, some have argued that the law is unclear as to whether the law applies to foreign nationals living in Germany. The interior ministers of Germany’s 16 states had unanimously called on the German government to clarify the issue by enshrining into law a blanket ban on German citizenship for polygamous migrants.

‘Sanctuary City’ Oakland, Near-Broke, Will Use Gas Tax Money to Keep Lights on

The City of Oakland is in such dire financial straits that it is planning to use $2.9 million from state gas tax revenues to keep the city’s lights on, rather than using the money to fix pothole-riddled roads, for which the funding was intended.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported Wednesday that the city is facing severe financial shortfalls, despite a booming economy that has seen wealthier households relocate from San Francisco across the bay to gentrifying neighborhoods.

The problem is that the city’s costs are rising faster than its growing revenues, thanks partly to pension obligations — an increasingly common challenge for large, Democrat-run cities that made ambitious promises to public sector unions.

  1. G7 meeting in Paris 15th-17th May.
Prime Minister Ardern of New Zealand has a niche with the “Christchurch call” meetings with support from Trudeau and Macron.

The governments and tech companies gathering in France for the multilateral meeting will discuss ways to curb violent content on the internet — a mission driven by the fact the Christchurch gunman live streamed his attack. …..
…. Canada’s willingness to collaborate on efforts to ensure such attacks don’t happen again. ….
…. At the summit in France, participating countries and companies will be asked to sign a declaration committing them to concrete actions to curb violent material online.

Mellsop said that a private-public partnership will be essential to that effort. It’s nearly impossible to regulate online content to the extent required to completely ban violent or extremist posts, he said, but you have to start somewhere.

“I think it has to be collaborative in order to work. There are things that can be done by the tech companies. There’s potentially things that can be done by governments to address the problem,” Mellsop said.

“But I think all the tech companies, the countries involved, we all agree that there is a set of terrorist content, violent extremism that we don’t want to have on the platforms.”

I wonder what Trudeau will wear at the meeting? What will Madam Ardern wear? 🙂

The definition as adopted by the Labour Party in Britain.

I think this definition will spread to other countries.
    Scotland is nearly there.

With the “Christchurch Call” then a version of this will again be pushed at the G7 nations, this coming week.

Once it gets so far, then discussion, debate, forums about the koran, hadith, sira, sunnah, “Reliance of the Traveller” can be challenged, removed and probably penalties applied.
