100s of Millions of Dollars in Crops Destroyed by Flooding, And Farmers Are Being Told “There’s Nothing the U.S. Government Can Do to Help”

This is the worst economic disaster for U.S. farmers in modern American history. Our ongoing trade war with China had greatly depressed prices for wheat, corn and soybeans, and so farmers were storing more crops on their farms than ever before in early 2019. And then the floods came. The water moved so fast that the vast majority of the farmers in the affected areas could not have moved what they had stored even if they wanted to, and the scale of the losses that these farmers have suffered is starting to become clearer. According to UPI, “hundreds of millions of dollars in crops” that were destroyed by the flooding were not covered by insurance…

Hundreds of millions of dollars in crops destroyed in Midwestern floods this month were not insured, farmers say. And the losses could leave many without sufficient income to continue farming.

“This uninsured grain issue is really starting to affect people,” said Jeff Jorgenson, a western Iowa corn and soy grower whose farm flooded when the Missouri River spilled over its banks March 12.

Without an extraordinary amount of assistance, there are thousands of farmers that will never be able to come back from this.

67 Organizations to Media: Drop SPLC

[…]

The Family Research Council and more than five dozen other conservative groups and individuals on Wednesday released a letter asking for news agencies to cut off their ties to the “discredited” Southern Poverty Law Center.

It’s because the group “has been exposed from within as having a culture of long-standing, long-ignored racial discrimination and sexual harassment,” FRC explained.

SPLC began as a do-good organization fighting the KKK and others. But it’s turned into what one commentator has called a “hate group” because it attacks and defames publicly any individual or group that does not align with promotion of the LGBT agenda, abortion and other progressive causes.

The letter addressed to news media, noted a similar request had been made in 2017, largely based on information that became public when SPLC paid $3.375 million to former Islamic radical Maajid Nawaz for labeling him an “extremist.”

“Richard Cohen, the SPLC’s president, also had to read and post online a humiliating apology to Nawaz that showed the reckless and careless nature of their misguided push to label him an extremist,” the letter to media explains.

But last month, SPLC fired co-founder Morris Dees and a week later President Richard Cohen and legal director Rhonda Brownstein quit.

The letter cited a Los Angeles Times report that SPLC’s white leadership had “been wrestling with complaints of workplace mistreatment of women and people of color.”

The letter noted a black senior attorney, Meredith Horton, quit, writing a letter “decrying working conditions.” The statement apparently prompted many other staff members to support her.

SPLC must investigate and make public the letter from Horton, additional letters from SPLC staff and other unpublicized documents, the groups insisted.

Then it must name an investigator to examine allegations such as those in John Egerton’s historic series about SPLC and former worker Bob Moser’s claims in the New Yorker that workers knew they were “part of the con.”

“A responsible investigation must comb through the Pulitzer Prize-nominated series from the Montgomery Advertiser that was published in February 1994. It was a journalistic broadside that mostly bounced off the hull of the SPLC,” the letter said.

Then there are the claims of sexual harassment, the letter added.

“Today’s SPLC is aggressively anti-Christian and morally bankrupty — both inside and out. It attacks anyone who disagrees with its far-left agenda, smearing them with lies and grossly mischaracterizing their work,” the letter said.

“All the while SPLC has also been imploding from within, with allegations of sex and race discrimination.

“We call on all media, corporations, social media companies, and financial institutions to immediately stop relying on their discredited and partisan ‘hate’ and ‘extremist’ lists,” said the letter, signed by FRC’s Tony Perkins, Lt. Gen. (Ret.) William G. Boykin, J. Kenneth Blackwell of the U.N. Human Rights Commission, Tim Wildmon of the American Family Association, Gary Bauer of American Values, Ryan Mauro of Clarion Project, Michael Farris of Alliance Defending Freedom and many others. America: Stealth Jihad on Steroids

by Amil Imani

Psychologically, Islam has become part and parcel of our society and the American mind. In other words, Islam has managed to merge into Western culture as though it has always been here. Whose fault is that? Much of academia and many universities throughout the land are generously funded by Islamic governments and organizations to market a highly sanitized and distorted version of Islam to young and impressionable minds. Even at the primary school level, a hugely dishonest portrayal of Islam is included in books pupils are required to study.

In these deceptive presentations, Islam appears to be a religion of peace, tolerance, and brotherhood. To further lull the people into accepting this dishonest “taqiyya-driven” fraud, Islam is marketed simply as another version of the Abrahamic religions—Judaism and Christianity. Thus, there is nothing alien about Islam the scheme aims to promote.

Everyone knows Politicians Empower Islam. Why not? Rich Muslims contribute huge amounts of money to politicians and money talks.

“Moneyed Muslims and Muslim organizations with vast interest in promoting Islam are thoroughly familiar with the power of money to recruit people to do their bidding. That’s why many non-Muslims work at all levels of government and the society at large to further Islam. In short: they are paid to do a job.”

Remarks as prepared for delivery

Thank you all for being here.

For decades, the United States has led the world in science, technology, research, and development. Without a doubt, we are the world’s top innovator. Billions have been invested to achieve that status.

This has given this country advantages both economically and militarily that have directly benefitted the daily lives of the American people.

It is no surprise that geopolitical rival states around the world have taken notice.

That is why they often try to steal our inventions and defraud us of their proceeds. Too often, they are successful.

Discoveries that took years of work and millions of dollars in investment here in the United States can be stolen by computer hackers or carried out the door by an employee in a matter of minutes.

This theft is not just wrong; it poses a grave threat to our national security. And it is unlawful.

But under President Donald Trump, the United States is standing up to the deliberate, systematic, and calculated threats posed, in particular, by the communist regime in China, which is notorious around the world for intellectual property theft.

Earlier this year, a report from U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer found that Chinese sponsorship of hacking into American businesses and commercial networks has been taking place for more than a decade and is a serious problem that burdens American commerce.

The problem has been growing rapidly, and along with China’s other unfair trade practices, it poses a real and illegal threat to our nation’s economic prosperity and competitiveness.

Perhaps this threat has been overshadowed in the press by threats from Russia or radical Islamic terrorism. But while it has been in the shadows, the threat has only grown more dangerous.

From 2013 to 2016, the Department of Justice did not charge anyone with spying for China.

But since the beginning of 2017, we have charged three people with spying for China or attempting or conspiring to do so. And when it comes to trade secret theft, we are currently prosecuting five other cases where the theft or attempted theft was for the benefit of the Chinese government.

In 2015, China committed publicly that it would not target American companies for economic gain.

Obviously, that commitment has not been kept.

Just ask GE Aviation, or Trimble, of Sunnyvale, California.

Today I am announcing another economic espionage case against Chinese interests.

And before I do that I want to remind everyone that the defendants in this case—as in every case—are innocent until proven guilty.

I am announcing that a grand jury in San Francisco has returned an indictment alleging economic espionage on the part of a Chinese state-owned, government owned, company, a Taiwan company, and three Taiwan individuals for an alleged scheme to steal trade secrets from Micron, an Idaho-based semi-conductor company.

The worldwide supply for DRAM is worth nearly $100 billion; Micron controls about 20 to 25 percent of the dynamic random access memory industry—a technology not possessed by the Chinese until very recently.

One of the defendants served as president of a company acquired by Micron in 2013. He left the company in 2015 and went to work for the Taiwan defendant company—from where he is alleged to have orchestrated the theft of trade secrets from Micron worth up to $8.75 billion.

The Taiwan defendant company then partnered with a Chinese state-owned company—so that ultimately China could steal this technology from the United States and then use it to compete against us in the market. This is a brazen scheme.

Bernie Sanders: Convicted Felons Have a Right to Vote — Even From Behind Bars

Iowans have been debating whether to restore voting rights to convicted felons who have paid their debt to society. But at a town hall meeting at Muscatine West Middle School in Iowa on Saturday, 202o presidential hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said felons should never lose the right to vote in the first place.

The Des Moines Register reported that only in Bernie Sanders’ home state of Vermont and in Maine are convicted felons allowed to vote from behind bars.

“I think that is absolutely the direction we should go,” Sanders said.

[Comment: This is a classic tactic of communists.]

Clarence Thomas on Joe Biden’s Handling of His Confirmation Hearings

As he moves toward a presidential run, Joe Biden has been under fire from the Left for his treatment of Anita Hill, but in his 2007 memoir, Clarence Thomas offered a different perspective on Biden’s performance during his confirmation hearings.

In contrast to the portrait of Biden as a warm-hearted and genuine straight-shooter, in his book My Grandfather’s Son, Thomas offered a blistering account of the then Senate Judiciary Committee chairman who acted friendly in private, only to stab him in the back when the cameras were on. He wrote, “Senator Biden’s smooth, insincere promises that he would treat me fairly were nothing but talk.”

Before the contentious hearings, Thomas described an ominous interaction he had with Biden in early 1990, during the confirmation process for his appointment to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. Biden, Thomas wrote, “informed me that I would be confirmed for the Court of Appeals, but that I could expect things to be very different if I were to be nominated to the Supreme Court.” At the time, Thomas said Biden’s remark “jolted” him, because it was the first time he had ever thought of the prospect of a Supreme Court appointment.

Biden’s warning would prove accurate when, in the summer of 1991, Thomas was nominated to replace the retiring Thurgood Marshall, and hearings were scheduled for the fall, allowing opponents more time to mount their attacks.

“A few days before I faced the Judiciary Committee, Joseph Biden invited [wife] Virginia and me to tour the Caucus Room in the Russell Senate Office Building, where the hearings would take place,” Thomas wrote. “Senator Biden was reassuring, stressing that the hearings weren’t meant to be an ordeal. He said that since I’d be nervous at first, he would start the questioning with a few ‘softballs’ that would help me relax and do my best, assuring me that he had no tricks up his sleeve.”

As chairman, Biden was able to get the first questions once the hearings kicked off. Thomas wrote that, “Instead of the softball questions he’d promised to ask, he threw a beanball straight at my head, quoting from a speech I’d given four years earlier at the Pacific Legal Foundation and challenging me to defend what I’d said.” (You can watch the clip here on the C-SPAN archive.)

Biden quoted a portion of the speech in which Thomas said, “I find attractive the arguments of scholars such as Stephen Macedo, who defend an activist Supreme Court that would … strike down laws restricting property rights.” Thomas recounted being caught off guard, because he didn’t recall the context of his remarks, which Biden suggested showed Thomas was arguing in favor of judicial activism. It wasn’t until Thomas got a chance to reread the speech during the break that he noticed Biden had neglected to quote the following sentence in his remarks, which made clear that Thomas’s point was the opposite of what Biden had claimed. Thomas had said in the speech, “But the libertarian argument overlooks the place of the Supreme Court in a scheme of separation of powers. One does not strengthen self-government and the rule of law by having the non-democratic branch of the government make policy.”

Thomas recalled, “Throughout my life I’ve often found truth embedded in the lyrics of my favorite records. At Yale, for example, I’d listened often to ‘Smiling Faces Sometimes,’ a song by the Undisputed Truth that warns of the dangers of trusting the hypocrites who ‘pretend to be your friend’ while secretly planning to do you wrong. Now I knew I’d met one of them: Senator Biden’s smooth, insincere promises that he would treat me fairly were nothing but talk.”

After his initial confirmation hearings, Thomas received a visit from the FBI asking him to respond to the Hill accusations, which he categorically denied. The one thing Thomas credits Biden for is that Hill had initially requested that her name be withheld from members of the Judiciary Committee when she submitted her statement, but Biden said he would only accept a signed statement.

Initially, the matter was supposed to be kept confidential. Ahead of the vote, Biden told Thomas on the phone that “he was torn over his decision and has brought two statements with him to the committee meeting that day, one for me and one against.” Ultimately, however, Biden said he’d have to vote against Thomas because he disagreed with his beliefs.

At the same time, however, Biden said he’d defend Thomas if the Hill story ever became public, along with another matter concerning a leaked draft opinion from the appellate court that had been drawing criticism.

“Judge, I know you don’t believe me,” Thomas recalled Biden telling him, “but if any of these last two matters come up, I will be your biggest defender.”

Thomas recounted, “He was right about one thing: I didn’t believe him. Neither did Virginia. As he reassured me of his goodwill, she grabbed a spoon from the silverware drawer, opened her mouth wide, stuck out her tongue as far as she could, and pretended to gag herself.”

Of course, Hill’s statement to the committee, which was supposed to be confidential, was leaked to the media (Nina Totenberg of NPR and Tim Phelps of Newsday), and became a national feeding frenzy.

The secondary hearings that followed ended up turning into a vicious attempt to destroy Thomas’ character. Or, as he famously put it, a “high-tech lynching.”

As Biden’s candidacy leads to a relitigation of the Thomas-Hill hearings, it’s worth keeping in mind this account of a key player.[…]

[Note Justice Thomas’ autobiography is worth your time.]

Iconic Consoles of the IBM System/360 Mainframes, 55 Years Old

The IBM System/360 was a groundbreaking family of mainframe computers announced on April 7, 1964. Designing the System/360 was an extremely risky “bet-the-company” project for IBM, costing over $5 billion. Although the project ran into severe problems, especially with the software, it was a huge success, one of the top three business accomplishments of all time. System/360 set the direction of the computer industry for decades and popularized features such as the byte, 32-bit words, microcode, and standardized interfaces. The S/360 architecture was so successful that it is still supported by IBM’s latest z/Architecture mainframes, 55 years later.

Prior to the System/360, IBM (like most computer manufacturers) produced multiple computers with entirely incompatible architectures. The System/360, on the other hand, was a complete line of computers sharing a single architecture. The fastest model in the original lineup was 50 times as powerful as the slowest,1 but they could all run the same software.2 The general-purpose System/360 handled business and scientific applications and its name symbolized “360 degrees to cover the entire circle of possible uses.”34

[…]

Mainframe computers aren’t thought about much nowadays, but they are still used more than you might expect; 92 of the top 100 banks use mainframes, for instance. Mainframe sales are still a billion-dollar market, and IBM continues to release new mainframes in its Z series. Although these are modern 64-bit processors, amazingly they are still backward-compatible with the System/360 and customers can still run their 1964 programs. Thus, the S/360 architecture lives on, 55 years later, making it probably the longest-lasting computer architecture.

ISIS-Inspired Terrorist Plotted to Run Over National Harbor Pedestrians With a U-Haul

On Monday, federal authorities charged a Maryland man who had stolen a truck and planned to use it in a terrorist attack. Prosecutors say the man was inspired by the Islamic State (ISIS).

Rondell Henry, a 28-year-old man from Germantown, Md., allegedly stole a U-Haul truck and planned to drive over pedestrians in National Harbor.

“He said he wanted to carry out a Nice-style attack,” a law enforcement official told NBC News . The official was referring to a 2016 ISIS-claimed terror truck attack that killed 86 people in Nice, France.

K-12: What Happened to Bill Gates and Common Core?

There were warning signs from the start. Never mind all the blather about a state-led initiative. Common Core is best understood as a coup d’état, or more exactly a coup d’ecole. This vast, top-to-bottom takeover of American public education was achieved by the old-fashioned tactic of throwing grants (some would say “bribes”) at the politicians in charge, state by state, even as Obama lent some dignity to the shenanigans. Obama had just swept into office and was in his honeymoon phase. Common Core was effectively ObamaEd, and nobody wanted to say no to the first black president.

But Bill Gates should have felt some uneasiness. Common Core was untested, unproven, and micromanaged by David Coleman, a man with limited credentials but reliably far to the left. Nobody in the business world launches a big new product without years of research and refinement. Instead, Common Core was wrapped in $1 billion’s worth of propaganda and dumped on the country as a fait accompli.

There are hundreds of videos made to show how wonderful Common Core is. Instead, they show the opposite. Here’s a single abominable video that can stand for all the others. The title is “Strategies for Addition and Subtraction.” Notice the new layer added there. Instead of learning to add, children learn strategies for adding — five of them, no less. Everything will now remain in first gear as children struggle with Regroup or Borrow, Decompose, Cross Number Puzzle, Use or Draw Base Ten Blocks, and Solve Using Money. Think how many hours you can waste debating which strategy to use in each situation.

Replacing the Everyday American City With the ‘Ideal Communist City’

A form-based code is a land development regulation that fosters predictable built results and a high-quality public realm by using physical form (rather than separation of uses) as the organizing principle for the code. A form-based code is a regulation, not a mere guideline, adopted into city, town, or county law. A form-based code offers a powerful alternative to conventional zoning regulation.

Several years ago, I wrote a series of articles for NewsWithViews, explaining Sustainable Development. Today two of them are popping up regularly in the media. Back when I wrote these two articles, people would not believe that all this planning and organizing could have been dreamed up by the Power Elite, let along set down as part of the blueprint for Agenda 21.

Read that definition above of Form-based Code again. Note: “a regulation, not a mere guideline for every city, town, or county”. And “a powerful alternative to conventional zoning regulation”. You bet it is. The only good I can see from this is that we can get rid of 90% of the staff on our planning commissions — everything will be spelled out for us by the Power Elite. There will be no exceptions…

Remember, as I pointed out at the beginning of this article, the Communitarians, or global elites, introduced the zoning and planning systems used in this country. Now that they have gotten the American public inured to “planning,” they want to move us to the next step — where they plan every aspect of our lives through planning. To do so, they have to pretend that the original zones and plans came from us, the people, so they can say they need to throw the old ones out and introduce a whole new system.

Social Justice Prosecutors

For years, many have bemoaned the slide of America’s higher education system down the slippery slope of moral relativism and the embracing of virtually all facets of progressive dogma while rejecting most elements of conservatism. The mere invitation of a conservative commentator to speak on college campuses is now reason enough for rioting and mass student protests. Bozo the Clown has a better chance of giving a commencement address at an Ivy League school than does Clarence Thomas, Condoleezza Rice, or their conservative contemporaries. Nowhere is this truth more prevalent than at our most prestigious law schools, and the products of those schools are now reflecting that decades-long liberal drift.

Individuals from this new class of legal eagles have advanced in all branches of government and at all levels — local, state, and federal. They have attended notable law schools, they are African-American, and they are hellbent on ushering in an era of seeking what today’s liberal law schools are pouring into their students by the bucket full — not “justice” but “social justice.”

Now finding themselves in positions of power, these social justice warriors have a deep-rooted belief in the fundamental unfairness of America in general, and our judicial system in particular. They believe that crimes for which underprivileged groups, namely blacks and Latinos, have higher rates of sentencing and incarceration, are the product of an at best a biased, and at worst a racist system; a system which they are a part of and can find ways to affect. One example is when the Obama/Holder DOJ released 6,000 people from federal prisons and reduced the sentences of as many as 46,000 others as a part of their sentencing-reform efforts in 2015.

The Rabid Main Stream Media Hatred of Trump Supporters

When I look at the Democratic Party and main stream media (MSM), all I see is control by demonic powers and a satanic hatred of truth. The party was started in January 1828 by Andrew Jackson, our 7th President, and Martin Van Buren, our 8th President. Less than 200 years later, the Democratic Party has become the party of Karl Marx.

Those presidents of the 19th Century would never believe media would promote a 29 year old socialist on the cover of Time Magazine as it has with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Neither would they believe that anti-Semite Islamist, Ilhan Omar was featured on the cover of Time as the first congresswoman from Somalia. Our third President, Thomas Jefferson, fought the Muslim Barbary pirates and defeated them and then the United Kingdom again in the War of 1812. But today the media is silenced.

In my previous article, I discussed the NYTs v. Sullivan Supreme Court decision of 1964 which allows media to lie about public figures. As such, great advantage of this decision was used not only in trying to destroy our President with a false narrative of Russian collusion by the DNC, but also the destruction via Special Counsel Robert Mueller of the men who supported and worked for Donald Trump.

Several of the nation’s largest and most influential news outlets had spread an explosive but completely false news story to millions of people about our President and his supporters. The lies told by media have ruined a number of good men, and the majority of those lies were fundamentally false. Link As Diane West says in her book, The Red Thread, look for the “Reds” responsible for this coup against our President and his supporters…

General Flynn long ago became the target and the truth is, he never lied to anyone. Mike Pence, Reince Priebus, Sally Yates, the FBI and Obama were responsible for eliminating him from the Trump administration. The establishment and Deep State joined together to destroy the man who endangered their corrupt cabal. Unfortunately, our President did not have the foresight and political discernment to comprehend why they wanted Flynn gone. He should never have allowed it.

The General was the only person in the administration who was capable of dismantling and destroying the corrupt and weaponized intelligence community, and they all knew it.

Tom Fitton — Spygate “The Worst Corruption Scandal in American History”

[…]

Jan Jekielek: I got it. So A big question that I have is: As you’ve been doing this investigation around the Mueller report and everything leading up to it, and then the other side as Lindsey Graham has been calling it—Spygate, Russiagate, how serious is this from all the work that you’ve seen over the years?

Tom Fitton: I think it’s the worst corruption scandal in American history. There’s simply no comparison in terms of government agencies colluding and conspiring to target a presidential candidate and then overthrow a president. So we had this kind of slow-motion coup take place beginning in the early part of the administration that, frankly, is continuing today. They want to overthrow the president. They’re going to break any rule, it looks to me, in order to do it. …

Jan Jekielek: How do you choose your targets? How do you decide?

Tom Fitton: Well, you know, it’s it’s kind of a sad situation because the targets are pretty obvious. Hillary Clinton’s conduct at the State Department, the obvious abuse of power targeting President Trump, the immigration crisis. No one else does the work to figure out what’s going on, and I exaggerate slightly—there is always someone asking questions. But in terms of using the Freedom of Information Act to direct legal challenges, there are few that do that work. So it’s pretty easy pickings. Pretty much anything you see in the newspaper that makes you scratch your head, we’re investigating.

Trump Rose to EMP Challenge, Now Must Fight DC Swamp

[…]

When candidate Trump began his race for president in the Iowa Republican caucuses, I briefed him that the greatest and least understood threat to our nation and global electronic civilization is electromagnetic pulse (EMP).

Candidate Trump, astonished that the U.S. government had done nothing to protect the national electric grid and other life-sustaining critical infrastructures, said, “Don’t worry. When I’m elected president, we’ll knock some heads together and fix this.”

Now President Donald Trump deserves the gratitude of every American for his new “Executive Order on Coordinating National Resilience to Electromagnetic Threats” signed on March 26, 2019.

It may well be the most significant executive order of any presidency.

And it does, in effect, “knock together the heads” of the Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of Defense (DOD) and all other relevant U.S. government departments and agencies in a well-crafted masterplan to achieve national EMP preparedness.

The president’s executive order recognizes manmade and natural electromagnetic pulse (EMP) (from the high-altitude detonation of a nuclear weapon or from a solar superstorm) are existential threats to America and the world:

“An electromagnetic pulse (EMP) has the potential to disrupt, degrade, and damage technology and critical infrastructure systems. Human-made or naturally occurring EMPs can affect large geographic areas, disrupting elements critical to the Nation’s security and economic prosperity, and could adversely affect global commerce and stability.”

Crucially, after a quarter-century of warnings by scientists and experts, Mr. Trump is the first president to act decisively against the EMP threat: “The federal government must foster sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective approaches to improving the nation’s resilience to the effects of EMPs.”

The Congressional EMP Commission, officially the Commission to Assess the Threat from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Attack, has been warning for years that manmade or natural EMP could destroy our electronic civilization — killing millions — in reports published in 2004, 2008, and 2017. And before that, beginning in 1995, Congress held the first unclassified hearings sounding the alarm about the then little-known threat from EMP.

In 2008, Dr. William R. Graham, Chairman of the Congressional EMP Commission, testified that an EMP event causing a nationwide blackout lasting one year could kill up to 90 percent of Americans through starvation and societal chaos.

According to the July 2017 “EMP Commission Chairman’s Report” (available on Amazon.com):

“While during the Cold War major efforts were undertaken by the Department of Defense (DoD) to assure that the U.S. national command authority and U.S. strategic forces could survive and operate after an EMP attack, no major efforts were then thought necessary by the national leadership to protect critical national infrastructures, provided that nuclear deterrence was successful.

“With the development of small nuclear arsenals and long-range missiles by small, hostile, potentially irrational countries, including North Korea, the threat of a nuclear EMP attack against the U.S. becomes one of the few ways that such a country could inflict devastating damage to the U.S.”

President Trump’s EMP Executive Order seeks to realize the recommendations of the Congressional EMP Commission on a fast timeline, quickly.

It’s an excellent first step toward achieving national EMP preparedness.

Wisely, President Trump’s executive order puts the White House in charge of managing national EMP preparedness, as recommended by the EMP Commission and my book “EMP Manhattan Project” (Amazon.com).

DOE and DHS have been asleep at the wheel for years, doing little or nothing to protect the nation from EMP, so White House leadership on EMP preparedness is urgently necessary.

One of the smartest features of the EMP Executive Order requires that vulnerability of critical infrastructure vital equipment be established through empirical testing in EMP simulators.

DOE, the national labs, and their partners in the electric power industry, like the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI, really an industry lobby masquerading as an objective think tank), have done great injury to national security with junk science reports. […]

Too Many ‘Happy White People’? Hungarian City Outraged at Exclusion From EU Culture Contest

A Hungarian city’s bid to become the European Union’s next “Capital of Culture” was allegedly rejected by EU officials because its video entry showed too many smiling, dancing, white Christians, the city’s mayor says. . Székesfehérvár, Hungary’s ninth-largest city, submitted a short video as part of its entry for the 2023 European Capitals of Culture contest, a competition designed to “celebrate the cultural features Europeans share.” Featuring folk dancers, young couples, mothers, babies and even two elderly gentlemen playing chess in a park, the video was rejected. The EU panel of “independent experts in the field of culture” felt it had too many happy white people and not enough migrants, the city’s mayor Dr András Cser-Palkovics has claimed. . Speaking at a press conference after the panel’s ruling, Cser-Palkovics said that his city’s entry never received a fair hearing, and that the panel’s decision was purely political.

According to Cser-Palkovics, one member of the jury of “experts,” whom he identified as a Belgian politician, strongly disapproved of the promotional video, calling it a “propaganda film for white Christian Europe” in which “everyone is white, happy and dancing in the streets.”

He said that the panel criticized the film for leaving out “the poor and migrants” while having too many “crosses and churches.”

UK to Fine Facebook, Google for Hosting Terrorist Content

The cat and mouse game between the world’s largest media company and global governments continues.

Just days after Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg called for more government regulation in an attempt to mollify the company’s growing critics, while seeking to squash smaller competitors as well as give governments a legitimate reason to enforce censorship and chip away at freedom of speech in order to comply with Facebook’s mysterious “community standards”, the company and its tech peers are facing a new UK law that will impose “substantial” fines, or even ban companies if they don’t act swiftly enough to remove content that encourages terrorism and child sexual exploitation and abuse.

Additionally, hinting that Facebook is now openly seen as a media empire instead of merely a distributor of content, the companies’ directors could also be held personally liable if illegal content is not taken down within a short and pre-determined time-frame, the UK’s Home Office said, which is also seeking to tackle the spread of fake news and interference in elections.

In short: wholesale government censorship under the guise of cracking down on the private sector.

When Will Iran’s Regime Finally Cave in?

[…]

“The economy is even worse than they let on,” commented Alireza Nader, the CEO of New Iran, a research and advocacy organization in Washington, D.C. Yet despite its economic crisis, Iran continues to provide hundreds of millions of dollars every year to terrorists across the world.

“Iran provides Hezbollah alone some $700 million a year”, said Nathan A. Sales, the U.S. Ambassador-at-Large and Coordinator for Counterterrorism.

“It gives another $100 million to various Palestinian terrorist groups. When you throw in the money provided to other terrorists, the total comes close to one billion dollars. Let’s pause to consider that, because it bears repeating: The Iranian regime spends nearly a billion dollars a year just to support terrorism”.

Iran, however, does boast numerous records. According to Amnesty International, “more than half (51%) of all recorded executions in 2017 were carried out in Iran”. In relation to its population, Iran holds the world record for executions per capita. There was an increase of 333% in prisoners between 1985 and 2017 in Iran. The newly appointed head of the Islamic Republic’s judiciary, Ebrahim Raisi, “was involved in mass executions of political prisoners,” according to U.S. State Department Deputy Spokesperson.

Italy: Rome Residents Protest Council House for Roma

(ANSA) — Rome, April 8 — Residents of another outlying Rome district protested against the presence of Roma in local council houses Monday after a near-riot led to 60 or so Roma being moved from the Torre Mauro district last week.

“We don’t want the gypsies here, that house should have gone to an Italian,” said residents of Casal Bruciato.

One of the residents, Nunzia, told reporters: “That house has now been occupied by a girl with a six-month-old baby, she was sleeping in her car”. “Better an Italian than the Roma…the Roma had better not return or we’ll block everything”.

Rome prosecutors last week opened an investigation into the violent protests that took place in the Torre Maura district of the capital on Tuesday against the transfer of a group of around 60 Roma people to a reception centre there.

The probe is into the crimes of criminal damage and threats with racial hatred an aggravating factor.

Around 200 local people, supported by militants of the far-right CasaPound party, took to the streets in the protest, which saw trash canisters turned over and set alight, and bread trampled on.

The city council said that 60-odd people would be moved to other facilities in the Rome area.

Ex-Transgender Walt Heyer: Affirming Wrong Gender is ‘Child Abuse’

Encouraging a child to identify with a gender other than their biological sex is a form of child abuse, says Walt Heyer, a man who identified as a woman for eight years.

Heyer said that when he was a small boy his grandmother gave him a purple chiffon dress and told him how beautiful he looked in it, which led him down a path of confusion about who he was.

“That is child abuse,” Mr. Heyer said during a panel discussion at the Heritage Foundation last Thursday. “We need to be calling it what it is. It’s not affirming a child. It’s causing them to be depressed and anxious about who they are.”

“I think it’s important for us to realize that there is nothing good about affirming a young boy at four years old like my grandma did me,” he said.

“The only reason I am able to speak to you today is because after 46 years dealing with this issue, I was able to de-transition in 1990 after I had psychotherapy, the very same psychotherapy [transgender activists] are trying to prevent people from having. Why? Because they don’t want them to de-transition,” he said.

The Number of Americans With “No Religion” Has Increased by 266% Over the Last 3 Decades

Over the last 30 years, there has been a mass exodus out of organized religion in the United States. Each year the needle has only moved a little bit, but over the long-term what we have witnessed has been nothing short of a seismic shift. Never before in American history have we seen such dramatic movement away from the Christian faith, and this has enormous implications for the future of our nation. According to a survey that was just released, the percentage of Americans that claim to have “no religion” has increased by 266 percent since 1991…

The number of Americans who identify as having no religion has risen 266 percent since 1991, to now tie statistically with the number of Catholics and Evangelicals, according to a new survey.

People with no religion — known as ‘ nones’ among statisticians — account for 23.1 percent of the U.S. population, while Catholics make up 23 percent and Evangelicals account for 22.5 percent, according to the General Social Survey.

In other words, the “nones” are now officially the largest religious group in the United States.

UK to Keep Social Networks in Check With Internet Safety Regulator

The UK government is taking a hard line when it comes to online safety, appointing what it claims is the world’s first independent regulator to keep social media companies in check.

Companies that fail to live up to requirements will face huge fines, with senior directors who are proven to have been negligent of their responsibilities being held personally liable. They may also find access to their sites blocked.

The new measures, designed to make the internet a safer place, were announced jointly by the Home Office and Department of Culture, Media and Sport. The introduction of the regulator is the central recommendation of the highly anticipated government white paper, published early Monday morning in the UK.

The regulator will be tasked with ensuring social media companies are tackling a range of online problems, including:

  • Inciting violence and spreading violent content (including terrorist content) Encouraging self-harm or suicide
  • The spread of disinformation and fake news
  • Cyber bullying
  • Children accessing inappropriate material
  • Child exploitation and abuse content

As well as applying to the major social networks, such as Facebook, YouTube and Twitter, the requirements will also have to be met by file-hosting sites, online forums, messaging services and search engines.

UK: Parents ID’d as Problem in School LGBT Promotions

A Christian organization in the United Kingdom, where the LGBT agenda is advancing in public and private schools, is revealing what one school chief thinks about parents.

They’re the opposition. They’re the “problem.”

The Christian Legal Centre’s Roger Kisa noted that Parliament approved new draft regulations for the nation’s “Relationships and Sex Education” schooling requirements.

They will “promote LGBT lifestyles to children as young as five.”

“Perhaps never before in this nation’s history have the dividing lines run so deep in relation to education. There appears to be a complete disconnect between government, including those in charge of education, and everyday parents,” Kiska wrote.

“This was highlighted well by one primary school governor in Chiswick who, when queried by one of our clients about why parents were not consulted when the school decided to formally partner with an LGBT campaigning group, was bold enough to say that parents are part of the problem, and not the solution.

“At Christian Legal Centre we deal with schools across the nation who believe education has become social proselytism and not about learning,” Kiska said.

In Croydon, issues have arisen at three schools already. In one instance, young children were forced “to participate in a gay pride event.”

Attenborough’s Tragedy Porn of Walruses Plunging to Their Deaths Because of Climate Change is Contrived Nonsense

A recent Netflix ‘Our Planet’ program with David Attenborough delivering a disturbing message of doom about walruses falling off a cliff to their deaths because of climate change is contrived nonsense on par with the bogus National Geographic starving polar bear video of 2017. The walruses shown in this Netflix film were almost certainly driven over the cliff by polar bears during a well-publicized incident in 2017, not because they were “confused by a combination of shrinking ice cover and their own poor eyesight”…

Bottom line: This “powerful story” is fiction and emotional manipulation at its worst. Even if the footage shown by Attenborough was not the 2017 incident in Ryrkaypiy (or a similar one from another year or similar location), we know that walruses reach the top of cliffs in some locations and might fall if startled by polar bears, people or aircraft overhead, not because they are confused by shrinking sea ice cover. Walrus will not replace polar bears as an icon for global warming because neither is being harmed by reduced summer sea ice.

Journalist should have asked where and when this footage was shot, but they did not. The media are therefore complicit in perpetuating myths about walrus, sea ice, and polar bears in order to advance an agenda while providing free advertising for Netflix.

Note, the US Fish and Wildlife Service has determined that the Pacific walrus is not being harmed by climate change and are not likely to be harmed within the foreseeable future. The IUCN Red List (2015) said the Pacific walrus was ‘data deficient’. Here’s my post announcing the 2014 summary paper about the walrus haulout phenomenon (pdf here). My GWPF video is below and a list of previous walrus posts is here.

  1. What? You are misled about Russia.

For manifestation on the Internet in an offensive form of disrespect for the authorities, society, state, official state symbols of Russia, the Constitution and citizens’ authorities will be fined 100 thousand rubles, and malicious violators will pay up to 300 thousand rubles and can get 15 days of arrest. The relevant law was supported by the Federation Council at a meeting on March 13.

The State Duma approved in the first reading a bill on the autonomous operation of the Internet in Russia, which caused sharp criticism of the business, was criticized by the Accounts Chamber and may require billions of rubles from the state budget.

    • Do they really fine people for that or is it just a threat ? I would not use my personal name and comment everything unless I am a politician. In any case, to be safe, download Tor browser:

      • In Russia there is a long tradition of “Aesop language”. I think one of the best.
The people are now practiced with might and main. In fact, great develops brains.

  2. “Ex-Transgender Walt Heyer: Affirming Wrong Gender is ‘Child Abuse’” that’s why I keep saying it has to be mandatory to go through a series of psychological tests if someone, even if it’s a child, is suspected of being transsexual and I really can’t wrap my head around why this practise isn’t in place in America.
Transgender activists are literally doing the same thing doctors did back in the 60’s or so, when it was assumed sex is a learned behaviour and so they performed surgery on babies with genital birth defects. There’s this famous case where they turned a baby boy into a girl because his penis was underdeveloped or something and only after years and years of suffering did the issue get resolved with him becomming a man again.
Bottom line is: people do get born in “the wrong body” (estimated 1 in every 2000), that’s well researched and a scientific fact, and our current medical knowledge allows for those people to heal by undergoing hormonal therapy and surgery (albeit there are still some surgeons that should have their hands cut off for handling something they have no idea of), which isn’t any different from how birth defects are handled these days. Well established tests exist that can confirm transsexuality in children as young as five, which then can prevent the child from potential trauma, especially when it comes to puberty.
However, both children and adults are examined over a period of time, to make completely sure this is really the case and it’s not a different mental problem or a way to deal with abuse. Children also tend to behave like the opposite sex for a few weeks or months and that has nothing to do with them being uncomfortable in their bodies (at least not in the sense of transsexuality).
Doing it any other way or forcing your child to believe they are the opposite gender is of course child abuse.

Personally I’d be wary the moment someone makes a big deal out of their supposed transsexualism, because actual transsexuals (at least from what I’m told) want to transition quietly and they don’t want their peers to know what they’ve went through. It’s the snowflakes that go through this in order to seek attention. Which ties in with the above hidden mental issues that would’ve been discovered if it was mandatory to see a specialist before buying hormones online or however they do it in the US…

    • perhaps one of the main indicators of a ‘true’ transexual is a lack of exhibitionism?

      • IIRC, one of the symptoms is exhibitionism. You’d never see a trans dressed in an old housecoat with fuzzy slippers. The whole point is to be admired, to be *seen*. Old age is hard on those men.

    “… And a pony!”

While attending (and helping teach) a class in residential energy efficiency, I found it necessary to take aside a group of teenagers (high school seniors or older) and generate a building block matrix chart (i.e., visual learning tool) that broke one inch into sixteenths of an inch because none of them could read a ruler or tape measure!

That was ten years ago. Things can only have gotten worse.

  5. MPs Urged to Support Family as Study Finds UK a ‘World Leader’ In Broken Homes

A vast majority of them being, not just broken homes, but fatherless or one with an absentee father or fathers. I’ll let Dymphna regale the studio audience and all the folks at home with the way that young girls from such households are at insanely high risk of juvenile sexual abuse and far worse.

Hey Presto! Rotherham, Luton, Birmingham, and who only knows how many other “grooming gangs” have gone undetected beside the few that have.

In the meanwhile, we shall patently ignore administrator-approved pro-LBGTQXYZ primary school curriculum which utterly belittles, if not outright discourages, the role of men at home.

Hey Presto! Generations of not “broken homes” but broken spirits, broken lives, and every worst nightmare imaginable.

    • Concerning the grooming gangs of Rotherham and numerous other British locations, it is worth remembering the father who complained to the police, only to be threatened with arrest himself.

The government strategy is to disarm and infantilize the population through gun control and socialism, and then suppress any outlier resistance. Police toleration for and collaboration with, the grooming gangs was part of the plan.

  6. “In other news, Pope Francis said that Europe and the United States were responsible for the death of children in Syria, Yemen, and Afghanistan.”

Sadly, I have to partially agree with the Pope on this one. The US enabled ISIS by not only deposing Saddam Hussein, but systematically dismantling the Iraq structure of social control and civilian security. Do a search on Paul Bremer, the US proconsul in Iraq, who systematically fired Iraq police and administrators, and eliminated the Iraqi military. Is it any wonder ISIS emerged?

Similarly, the US sponsored and trained rebel groups in Syria to overthrow the Syrian government, which was relatively stable and which certainly protected Christians and other non-Muslims. You have to lay the Syrian civil war at the foot of the US.

The US had every right to overthrow the Taliban government in Afghanistan. It seems the US occupation is ineffectual enough as to not cause more deaths in Afghanistan than the Muslims would have done to themselves. Maybe a wash in Afghanistan.

The US certainly supports the Saudi war in Yemen, including military on the ground, although probably not combat units. My guess is, US policy in this region is driven by the humongous profits of arms and defense companies selling weapons and services to Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia could cause a severe recession in the US by ceasing to buy US dollars and treasury bonds, and cashing in the bonds it already holds. And Saudi business is just so profitable.

The neocons will go on with the usual claim that the war in Yemen is a proxy war between Iran and Saudi Arabia, and that Saudi Arabia is the good guy. Yeah. I would still like to pay Iran back for occupying the US embassy, but it is not a sensible strategy to cut off your own arm to use as a club to beat your opponent. The US has no business meddling with local politics in the Middle East, including Israel’s relations with its neighbors. Oil is no longer a strategic asset.
