Trump to be Blamed for the Next Recession, But Americans’ Lack of Responsibility is Real Culprit

President Donald Trump is already taking flack for rolling back regulations designed to keep Americans from overextending themselves when it comes to the use of credit. But this is not actually Trump’s fault; as Americans should learn to control themselves and be responsible for the money they borrow.

When Trump does things that are insane, such as start a trade war, we’ve called him out. But this time, some personal responsibility would go a long way. Instead of blaming Trump for daring to offer more freedom to the public, take initiative and understand what you are signing. No one is putting a gun to the heads of Americans and forcing them to sign up for an adjustable interest rate, 40-year mortgage with no down payment.

[Comment: Not just Trump, banksters planned and orchestrated economic collpase will be blamed on populist politicians from all western nations.]

A Hacker Says He Can Kill Your Car’s Engine While You’re Driving

A hacker recently demonstrated that he could access two popular vehicle-monitoring apps that let him monitor where the cars were located, access drivers’ private information, and even kill the engines remotely.

The hack targeted two apps, iTrack and ProTrack, that companies can use to monitor their fleets of vehicles, according to Motherboard. The attack, which the hacker said he did to draw attention to flimsy cybersecurity, serves as a cautionary tale to double check your security practices — all 27,000-plus compromised accounts used the default password “123456.”

FBI Raids Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh’s City Hall Office, Her Two Houses, As Governor Calls on Her to Resign

Hauling out boxes of “Healthy Holly” books and documents, dozens of federal law enforcement agents Thursday struck homes, businesses and government buildings across Baltimore as an investigation into Mayor Catherine Pugh’s business dealings widened.

FBI agents and IRS officials executed search warrants at her City Hall office, Pugh’s two houses, and offices of the mayor’s allies, as the growing scandal consumed the city’s attention, generated national headlines and provoked fresh calls for the embattled Democratic mayor’s resignation.

FBI Visits Coach Dave Daubenmire, No Joke

I was visited by the FBI a couple of weeks ago. No joke. They actually showed up at my house to do a “threat assessment.” It seems that someone reported me to them. One of the agents began reviewing my daily show and they decided they needed to pay me a visit. They wanted to be sure that I wasn’t “inciting violence.”

Let that sink in for a minute. A former high school football coach who has never committed or advocated violence against anyone draws the attention of the same agency that ignores the obvious crimes of Hillary Clinton and their own FBI bosses.

Threat assessment. I AM a threat. I am a threat to Devil and all of his minions. My buddy tells me that when I am taking flack I must be over the target. Just for the record, I do everything I can to NOT encourage violence. When was the last time you saw me out on the streets throwing rocks and setting fires? I guess I am making someone in the deep swamp nervous.

Anyone with half a brain…and I admit that number is getting smaller and smaller…knows that we have an unequal justice system. The rich and the powerful have one set of laws and the rest of the peons live by another set. If you have watched any of the travesties of the Mueller report unfold you clearly understand my point. Hillary Clinton did everything that they accused President Trump of yet she sits as a free woman at 15 Old House Lane in Chappaqua, NY.

If You Value Your Privacy, Never Bring an Amazon Alexa Device Into Your Home

Privacy advocates are sounding alarms about Amazon’s Alexa device. A few weeks ago, the commands users were giving to their “smart devices” were being monitored by humans all in the name of “product empowerment.” But there is even worse news for those who cherish their privacy.

Amazon Alexa’s always-on microphone that so many Americans have willingly invited into their homes gives employees at Amazon enough information that they can “easily” discover any user’s home address, according to a report by Gizmodo. Their report comes from unnamed Amazon employees who talked with Bloomberg News about the distressing and privacy-violating situation.

Bloomberg made it clear that there haven’t been any reports of Amazon employees or contractors actually abusing this power and tracking down users at home, however, they did say that this backend feature gives employees “unnecessarily broad access to customer data.”

Joe Biden Launches His Campaign on the Lie That Trump Said Neo-Nazis Were “Very Fine People”

Joe Biden launched his presidential campaign on the proven lie that Donald Trump said Neo-Nazis in Charlottesville were “very fine people”.

“He said there were, quote, ‘Some very fine people on both sides,’“ said Biden in his campaign video. “Very fine people on both sides? With those words the president of the United States assigned a moral equivalence between those spreading hate and those with the courage to stand against it and in that moment I knew the threat to this nation was unlike any other I’d seen in my lifetime,” added the former Vice President.

However, as is manifestly provable, Trump never referred to neo-nazis as “very fine people” and openly condemned them on numerous occasions.

She was informed in a letter that the government agency’s approval of her husband and her as foster parents — they had been raising the 8-year-old since she was a newborn baby — had been rescinded and that the girl might be taken away from them, as the authority did not consider them to “have the necessary quality to have children in your care.”

German Comedian Loses Case Against Merkel Over Erdogan Poem

Prosecutors dropped investigation for lack of evidence of crime

(ANSA-AP) — BERLIN, 16 APR — A German comedian has lost a court case against Chancellor Angela Merkel’s description of a crude poem he wrote about Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan as “deliberately hurtful.” Amid tensions with Turkey over a TV satire poking fun at Erdogan, Jan Boehmermann read the poem on television in 2016 to illustrate something he said wouldn’t be allowed in Germany. Merkel’s spokesman said she considered the poem “deliberately hurtful,” which Merkel later said was a mistake. Prosecutors dropped an investigation of Boehmermann for lack of evidence of any crime. Berlin’s administrative court on Tuesday rejected Boehmermann’s bid to ban the government from repeating Merkel’s assessment, since it was clear that wouldn’t happen. It also found Merkel’s comments weren’t unlawful and didn’t constitute “prejudgement” of the case against Boehmermann.

TUNIS — The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said Wednesday that 35,000 people have been displaced from Tripoli and the surrounding area due to armed clashes, in an update on the situation.

It said the UN and its humanitarian partners are closely following the situation of 30 people who were injured and are now hospitalised after suffering abuse in the Qasr Ben Ghashir detention centre, which hosts about 890 migrants and refugees.

The World Health Organization (WHO) in Libya said the victim toll in Tripoli has risen to 272 dead, 1,272 wounded.

It said it is working with its partners to ensure that primary healthcare structures have the supplies and resources they need to assist displaced families.

Japan’s Medical Freedom: No Vaccine Mandates and Healthier Children

As politicians in the United States do their best to remove Americans’ freedom of choice when it comes to vaccines, Japan has medical freedom. There are no vaccine mandates in Japan and their children are growing up healthier than ours.

Officials in California are desperately trying to take away the rights of their residents by seeking to override medical opinion about whether or not a person is fit for vaccination, while politicians in New York are mandating the measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine for 6-12-month-old infants even though that vaccine’s safety and effectiveness “has not been established.” (Link to Merck’s website — the creator of the MMR vaccine,) By Merck’s own admission, this vaccine is probably not safe, especially for infants.

Earlier this month, the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA)’s spacecraft Hayabusa2 practiced Earth defense against an asteroid striking the planet, planting a small projectile of a near-Earth object known as Ryugu. Later this week, JAXA will return to the site and see what this man-made crater did to the asteroid.

New Species of Sea Squirt Named After UNCW Professor

Two new species of sea squirt were named in honor of a UNC Wilmington associate professor, and her lab’s dedicated research on the subject.

One species was named in homage to Susanna López-Legentil, associate professor in the Department of Biology and Marine Biology, for her important research contributions on ascidian genetics and systematics.

López-Legentil stated a colleague of hers who was working in Brazil discovered the species in Panama.

“It’s an honor to have another colleague name a species after you,” López-Legentil said.

López-Legentil stated that sea squirts are classified in the phylum Chordata, which is what humans are classified within. However, sea squirts do not have vertebrate as people do; they have a notochord when they are in the larvae stage.

“They are simpler than us, so we can learn a lot from them,” López-Legentil said.

The two new species are called P. lopezlegentilae and P. imesa. The first named after López-Legentil, and the second in honor of the iMESA Lab (Integrated Molecular Ecology of Sponges and Ascidians). Including López-Legentil, the iMESA Lab consists of two principal investigators and several students.

The P. lopezlegentilae were discovered off the Atlantic coast of Panama, while the P. imesa were found off of the Pacific coast of Panama. They inhabit piers, mangroves, and coral reefs.

‘Unusual and Cute’ New Species Could Redefine the Crab

A newly discovered, 95-million-year-old species will force scientists to rethink the definition of a crab—and perhaps the disparate ways animals evolve over time.

The researchers announced the discovery of hundreds of exceptionally well-preserved specimens from rock formations in Colombia and the United States that date back to the mid-Cretaceous period of 90-95 million years ago.

The cache includes hundreds of tiny comma shrimp fossils, with their telltale comma-esque curve; several carideans, which are the widely found “true” shrimp; and an entirely new branch of the evolutionary tree for crabs.

The most intriguing discovery, according to the researchers, is Callichimaera perplexa, the earliest example of a swimming arthropod with paddle-like legs since the extinction of sea scorpions more than 250 million years ago.

The Southern Border Invasion is Endangering Americans

Ranchers and farmers are finding prayer rugs along the United States-Mexico border — evidence corroborating President Donald Trump’s assertion that migrants from Islamic terrorist hotbed nations in the Middle East are breaking into the country.

(Photo courtesy of Chris Burgard producer of “BORDER” DVD)

Texas rancher Dr. Mike Vickers found an Urdu-to-English (official language of Pakistan) dictionary dropped under the cattle fencing on his 1,000-acre ranch north of the U.S.-Mexico border.

While local ranchers have to contend with torn-up fences, broken water lines, contaminated wells and robbery on a daily basis from illegal immigrants streaming through, a Texas Border Patrol agent said there is “no doubt” that among the hordes of Central Americans are also crossers from Pakistan and Afghanistan, raising significant national security concerns.

Other than Mexicans (OTMs) cross our southern border every day and never turn themselves in to Border Patrol like the family units or children.

Dr. Vickers’ wife, Linda, said the southern border ranchers have been dealing with illegals for years and no one seemed to care until our government started shipping illegal aliens all over the country. Once that happened, it wasn’t just the ranchers’ problem; it became the nation’s problem.

The southern border is 1,933 miles long, and it crosses through arid deserts, rugged mountains, and winding rivers, many areas of which are unprotected by border security, and easily crossed border obstructions.

Hezbollah and Latin America

Relations between Hezbollah and Latin American drug cartels have been well known for two decades. In recent years, border security officials in southwest states have seen an alarming rise in Hezbollah insignia tattoos among imprisoned drug cartel operatives suggesting a very strong relationship amongst rank and file these days, let alone at the command level.

Over the years pro-Iranian websites have proliferated across Latin America. Latin American politicians, notably Venezuela’s Maduro, have been in bed with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp (IRGC)/Hezbollah operatives for years.

The terror threat from the south is not so much from illegal Latin American immigrants per se, but from Shiite Lebanese Hezbollah working with Iranian IRGC. Of course, Hezbollah can recruit South Central Americans as operatives as well. There is little doubt that Hezbollah’s connections enable them to enter the U.S. as they desire, through our porous border with Mexico.

Our efforts to combat Islamic terrorism needs to consider the open southern border, the IRGC and Hezbollah threat to national security.

Drawing the Line, At Last

To appreciate the significance of recent events at Philadelphia’s University of the Arts and at the University of Arizona in Tucson, it helps to recall briefly some landmark moments in the College Administrator Hall of Shame.

[NOTE: See long list of atrocities at original URL]

Given the ubiquity of administration cowardice, any instance of adult leadership should be celebrated. And the last two weeks have offered two signs of hope. On April 9, at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, Professor Camille Paglia, famed nemesis of victimology feminists everywhere, gave a university-wide lecture entitled “Sexual Duality and Sexual Multiplicity in Western Art.” A self-described “non-binary” student, Joseph McAndrew, had organized a protest against the speech after failing to get it moved off campus. McAndrew was upset by recent interviews Paglia had given. In one, she challenged the seriousness of campus rape allegations brought six months after the fact and decried students’ reflexive stampede to the college bureaucracy for every perceived personal problem. In another interview, she observed that trans identity had become a fashion statement and called sex-reassignment surgery for children and adolescents a crime against humanity, since children are too immature to make such a life-altering decision.

McAndrew masterfully blended victimology and the consumerist model of education in his complaint against Paglia. “We’re giving a space for her following to come, into our safe space that we pay to be in,” he told the Philadelphia Inquirer. A photo of the protest shows a group of well-fed, healthy, eminently protected, privileged teenagers sitting in a lobby under a large banner reading “Camille Paglia, Stop Victim Blaming.” They hold signs such as “Sexual Assault Is NEVER the victims [sic] fault.” A male lays his head on the shoulder of a female, who gives him a supportive hug; presumably both procured affirmative consent for this Platonic embrace.

About 30 minutes into Paglia’s lecture, someone pulled a fire alarm, following the Middlebury precedent. All 17 floors of the building where Paglia was speaking had to be evacuated into the nighttime streets of downtown Philadelphia, while protesters continued to chant: “Trans lives matter! We believe survivors!” (The trans community apparently is allowed to use the “lives matter” trope without being accused of racism, unlike those naïfs who dared to suggest that “all lives matter” or “blue lives matter” during the height of the Black Lives Matter fury.)

On many other campuses, such tactics would have been greeted by either dead air from the administration or an expression of concern for the University of the Arts’ wounded “survivors.” President David Yager, however, denounced the repressive mindset spreading from American campuses to the culture at large. The suppression of speech “simply cannot be allowed to happen,” he wrote in a campus-wide email the day after the shutdown. “I firmly believe that limiting the range of voices in society erodes our democracy. Universities, moreover, are at the heart of the revolutionary notion of free expression: promoting the free exchange of ideas is part of the core reason for their existence. . . . Artists over the centuries have suffered censorship, and even persecution, for the expression of their beliefs through their work. My answer is simple: Not now, not at UArts.” While his email did not mention the protest or the fire alarm activation, which would have been ideal, the protesters understood that Yager was referring to them.

The university should identify the individual who pulled the fire alarm and subject him to discipline. Otherwise, students may conclude that there is no downside to disrupting speakers, even if they don’t wrest an apology from the administration for having allowed such pariahs onto their campus. Indeed, the Paglia opponents have now launched the usual self-engrossed Change.org petition demanding that Paglia be fired and replaced with a “queer person of color.” Yager must also apologize for his “wildly ignorant and hypocritical letter,” and the administration must sit down with a group of “survivors” and trans students—a group that “must include students of color”—to discuss “how they can best be supported moving forward.” (Judging by the photo of the anti-Paglia sit-in, however, the administration will be hard-pressed to come up with “students of color” to join the delegation desperately in need of support.) The petition ends with a stiff admonition: “UArts: you are disrespecting your students and putting them in danger. Do better.”

The hysteria over Paglia is particularly ironic, since her scholarship celebrates the fluidity of sex and gender in art; she was investigating transsexual identity decades before it became an adolescent status symbol. But today’s students will never let their own ignorance stand in the way of a good temper tantrum.

The University of Arizona has gone one better than Yager. On March 19, two agents from the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol were giving a presentation at a job-recruiting fair, having been invited by the undergraduate Criminal Justice Association. Protesters invaded the room and continuously screamed “murder patrol” and “murderers,” preventing students from listening. “We won’t stop until you get off our campus,” the protesters shouted, as they hounded the agents into their cars. In a sharp departure from the norm, the campus police have filed criminal-misdemeanor charges against the disruptors, for “threats and intimidation” and “interference with the peaceful conduct of an educational institution.” And the university president, Robert Robbins, after issuing a bland statement about “ensuring safety” for students and respecting others’ right to speech, followed up with a far more explicit denunciation. The “incident with the Border Patrol officers” was a “dramatic departure from our expectations of respectful behavior and support for free speech on this campus,” Robbins wrote. “Student protest is protected by our support for free speech, but disruption is not.” The administration was reviewing potential violations of student and employee codes of conduct, he said. Robbins’s turnaround followed criticism from the National Border Patrol Council and Judicial Watch, but as Stanley Kurtz has observed, the important thing is that the university is now pursuing sanctions, regardless of the impetus.

The University of Arizona has been a hotbed of Chicano activism, so the president’s stand is even more noteworthy. Naturally, faculty and students are demanding that all charges be dropped and that the CBP be permanently banned from campus so that, in the words of the faculty petition, the “learning environment does not further traumatize or disrupt the emotional, physical, psychological and holistic well-being of our students.” Robbins, of course, must resign if the demands are not met. The Department of Mexican-American Studies has issued a vote of no confidence in his leadership.

Robbins is under enormous pressure to back down, but so far he has supported the filing of misdemeanor charges against the students. Whether or not the Pima County Attorney’s Office goes forward with the case, Robbins must make sure that the disrupting students face serious internal punishment.[…]

Gender Identity Law Declares War on Women, Forces Trans Men to be Accepted as Female

House Democrats have reintroduced a bill that would make “gender identity” a protected class under federal civil rights law and force men who identify as women to be treated and accepted as female. If the measure, known as the Equality Act, becomes law, it would drastically impact numerous sectors.

Hospitals and insurance companies will have to provide costly sex-reassignment therapies, employers and workers who don’t conform to new sexual norms will lose their businesses and jobs and women would lose female-only facilities and sports. The only requirement for protection under the bill is a self-declared “gender identity.”

In a statement celebrating the Equality Act’s reintroduction last month, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said this: “To dismantle the discrimination undermining our democracy, we must ensure that all Americans, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, are treated equally under the law—not just in the workplace, but in education, housing, credit, jury service and public accommodations as well.”

The veteran California congresswoman claims the measure has strong bipartisan support even though two Republicans that supported it when it was first introduced in the last Congress are no longer in office. Florida’s Ileana Ros-Lehtinen retired and Virginia’s Scott Tayler failed to win reelection. Fortunately, the bill is likely to encounter serious resistance in the Republican-majority Senate as well as the White House.

Let’s Not Get Bogged Down in Multiculturalism Versus Progressivism

In his reply to an essay by Ryan P. Williams of the Claremont Institute calling for a defense of America against multiculturalism, my Federalist colleague David Marcus misreads Williams’ core argument, which is that America’s most vital virtue is an insistence that its citizens and potential citizens “assimilate to a certain view of justice embodied in the Declaration of Independence and safeguarded by our state and national political institutions, first and foremost the U.S. Constitution” (emphasis mine).

Marcus avers that Williams is “demanding, especially of potential citizens that they assimilate into American culture,” and goes on to argue that Williams’s fundamental error “is the focus on culture.” Williams’s focus is not on culture, but justice. That’s why, despite Marcus’ claims, he doesn’t demand that citizens and potential citizens assimilate into American culture—a phrase that never appears in his essay.

Rather, he is concerned with the uniquely American view of justice that insists, with the Founders, that all men are created equal and are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights. The safeguarding of those individual rights is the purpose of just government, and of the American regime properly understood.

Now They Hate Your Daughters, Too

You work like a dog to earn the money for your kids to go to college, they’re still going to be saddled with a student debt that’ll take years to pay off—and what do you get?

Well, one thing you can count on getting a lot of is hate. Especially if you’re white. “The Problem of Whiteness.” “Toxic Masculinity.” “Check Your Privilege.” Endless workshops on how white males who are not homosexuals are responsible for every evil in the world. Evergreen Looniversity even had a “No whites allowed on campus” day, a year or two ago.

And now, having no more abuse they can heap on white men without repeating themselves, they’re turning on white women.

Your daughters.

Academic pinheads are flocking to a symposium in Toronto to hear a paper by a student—love it: a student lectures a hall full of professors—entitled “Love in the Time of Beckyism: On Willfulness and Wokeness in Teacher Education” (https://www.campusreform.org/?ID=12134).

“Wokeness”? Never mind that: what the devil is “Beckyism”?

“Becky” is a new term of abuse coined by college clowns for generic young white women—sort of like calling black persons “Sambo”—to express contempt for them.

But let’s let the academics themselves explain it, quoting at length from the chimposium’s organizers.

“In the tradition of speculative fiction, parable, and counterstorytelling within critical race theory, this session aims to problematize the characterization of ‘Becky,’ a term specific to white women who engage in whiteness, often in gendered ways… This characterization is relevant to education by critically examining who is Becky and how she is characterized, her positionality in education, and how the hope for diversity, inclusion, equity, and racial justice within the P-20 education pipeline is impacted by Becky” (who, we are told “enacts oppression”)…

Have you ever heard such cr*p in all your life? I think their P-20 pipeline must be clogged with something nasty. But wait, there’s more!

The Bible says marriage is between a man and a woman — not two men, not two women.”

And others may argue the Bible says “hate the sin, but love the siner,” so how do we deal with this?

Personally I feel like it’s nobody’s business what anyone’s preferences are when it comes to the bedroom and hence no politian should use his minority sexuality as a way to earn votes from his homosexual peers (and they should know better than to vote based on that, though I’m aware that’s not how it works in America these days).
I don’t think we should revert back to looking at homosexuality as something unnatural, however, I DO think we should push it away from the public space and I would welcome laws that prohibit sex between older men and boys up to 20-years of age or so (in fact, I would be ok with such a law for everyone, have kids explore their sexuality, but protect them from exploitation by significantly older adults). There are some countries with different ages of consent for straight and gay relationship and I think that’s fine – a 15-year old boy won’t know what hit him if a 50+ man takes advantage of him. And when I think back on how easily arousable I was during puberty it’s no wonder a boy might follow the advances of someone way older, just because it feels good – and then it might conflict them once the arousal’s gone and other problems might follow – hence why they should be protected from that.
But that would be moral and I know that’s not “in” nowadays…

    • You make some excellent points.

Mr. Graham certainly had every right to question Mayor Buttigieg’s public parading of his homosexuality. Since the Mayor claims to be a Christian he is therefore obligated to put his faith and actions where his mouth is.

    • All fine. Yet, I dislike it when they call it “marriage”. They better find a different name for their actions: Zarriage or Karriage, or whatever unused word they prefer, but never Marriage.

Two guys start throwing stones to each other and call it “Olympic Games”. Certainly they have no intention other than mocking Olympic Games.

      • Yes, I, too, am somewhat opposed to calling it “marriage”. And as long as the partnership has the same rights and obligations as marriages, I don’t see a problem either. A different name isn’t discriminatory.

  3. Czechia: Marine Le Pen and Geert Wilders visited Prague for a joint speech with Tomio Okamura to kickstart his party’s (SPD) EU Parlamentary Elections campain. I’m sure there are going to be plenty of English sources, but as a headstart: for once our media reported about the meeting objectively and refrained from using words such as “populistic”. Another refreshing news is that the police actually pushed back the “liberals” opposing the meet and arrested some of them, as opposed to usually giving a hard time to the “populists”.

  4. In retrospect, the President and his SecState, Clinton, have blood on their hands for the Libyan War and the foreseeable consequences.

It was a war of deliberate choice, with immigration-led destruction of allies, many needless deaths, and the ongoing misery of millions.

    Yet the Left is silent.

  5. I follow news reports from Sri Lanka.

Do not you think that what is happening in Ceylon is only running the script for later reproduction on a global scale?
The country is small, easy to destabilize. Then they will take a bigger object.

  6. “Gender Identity Law Declares War on Women, Forces Trans Men to be Accepted as Female” as far as I know “transmen” are females transitioning to males, males transitioning to females are called “transwomen”. Please use the correct words, otherwise the title has the opposite meaning of what’s explained in the article (instead of forcing the public to accept pre-transitioning men as females, it proposed the law would force transmen to stay women – two very different things) and that’s simply unprofessional.
