Doing The Brexit Split

My title isn’t really what Dr. Turley says. He’s quite hopeful that Farage is going to come in and team up with UKIP, the party he left in a huff, and together they will sweep Brexit to the finish line.

I hope Britons aren’t taken in by their version of Joe Biden, OE –Opportunist Extraordinaire. Come to think of it, except for his accent, Mr. Farage would fit right in with all of DimBulb crazies here who are terrified of nationalists, populists, and assorted folk to the right. Ol’ Nigel wants to have his cake and eat Batten’s share, too.

The man is a disgrace.

Here’s part of a BBC report:

[…] Mr Farage told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme: “In terms of policy, there’s no difference (to UKIP), but in terms of personnel there is a vast difference.

“UKIP did struggle to get enough good people into it but unfortunately what it’s chosen to do is allow the far right to join it and take it over and I’m afraid the brand is now tarnished.”

He promised the Brexit Party would be “deeply intolerant of all intolerance” and would represent a cross-section of society.

Deeply intolerant of intolerance, eh? That makes you intolerant, dude, and so “tarnished” you’d need a gallon of Brasso to clean up tolerably. Hie thee to a Logic class forthwith, Mr. Almost-All-Things-To-A-Select Few.

I’ll bet Farage makes a hex sign when he sees an image of Tommy Robinson, who is twice the man this flibbertigibbet could ever be.

  1. Spot on. It’s good to see that not everybody is taken in by Farage and his ego trip. Ukip remain the true party of Brexit. Farage now smears them at every opportunity.
He lost interest in Ukip when he was still leader after a few reversals for the party. Instead of staying with it and help building it up again he wandered off, waiting a couple of years before claiming he left because of the Far Right.
The Brexit party may garner a lot of votes at the EU elections and the energy it creates may help reinvigorate the wider pro-Brexit movement. So they may be an upside to all this. But I can’t see the Brexit party lasting very long. It’s not set up to do so. It’s more like a gimmick And Nigel does not like common party members. But I must hand it to him he is a great performer. But once the pantomime is over and the spotlights are off and it’s time to do the hard work, his party will disappear and he’ll be off.
A lot of us will be sticking with Ukip.

    • Farranger, I agree with you completely. Mr Farage is a one man band and has I think, deliberately set out to deprive UKIP of votes. Who is behind Mr Farage and his shenanigans is anyone’s guess but they obviously had lots of money.

Further, just before he stepped down as UKIP leader, Mr Farage imposed a Mr Henry Bolton on the party, a worse leader you couldn’t wish on any party.

Gerard Batten has done a wonderful job in restoring UKIP to a viable, credible party and deserves the loyalty and hard work that his fellow party members have done to help him. And all this despite the animosity of Mr Farage, all other political parties and the MSM including the far-left bbc collective propaganda machine.

      • My bet is that Farage is receiving some big money from pro-EU people to help him split the pro-Brexit parties votes.

  2. If I had the money, I’d pay a thousand dollars to anyone who could write a cogent, cool- headed list of Tommy Robinson’s infamies without resorting to ad hominem. In other words, adjectives like “thug,” “extremist,” “white nationalist,” etc. would be verboten.

I’d really like to hear an analysis of the FACTS behind the many imputations of villainy.

  3. I looked at their MEP applications for the upcoming euro elections and you had to declare whether you had ever been a member of UKIP or For Britain….and obviously you would not be selected. That put me off his party and him for good.

  4. So the Brexit Party … wasn’t last Friday 4/12/19 another Brexit deadline, this one passing without anybody’s attention? How many “deadlines” you will have, Albion?

Brexit is becoming what the word “communism” was for the Big Red Liars behind the Iron Curtain: always promised, never delivered – and meant to be undeliverable.

Albion, your farce continues with the old clown back on stage.

And the stench of betrayal all over the theater.

    Sad, sad performance indeed.

  5. To say that I am disappointed in Farage would be a huge understatement. I agree with D’s characterizations of him except that maybe they are too charitable.

Having kept up with whole Tommy Robinson debacle and doing what I can to help support the brave Hero of Britain, I was astounded to read several months ago that Farage (of all people!) wanted nothing to do with Tommy. How is that even possible?

No movement for Liberty and Freedom in the UK will succeed without Tommy and his supporters. At least that’s the way it looks to me from over here in the US.

Tommy Robinson is the heart and soul of what’s left of Brittania, the ancient spirit of Great Britain that goes all the way back to Arthurian times. For an insight on mythical Britain and current socialist/ Communist politics, I urge readers to check out a book by C.S. Lewis called “That Hideous Strength”. Very enjoyable and gives a very unusual perspective to the Evil that exists today in the UK.

  6. The split between UKIP and the Brexit party is, unfortunately, likely to divide their vote.

The cover of the current “Private Eye” (fortnightly UK satirical magazine) was published before this news, but seems even more relevant. There’s a photo of Donald Tusk and Jean-Claude Juncker, apparently sharing a joke; the “Eye” has, as usual, added its own captions:

Tusk: “This is not the time to gloat”.
    Juncker: “I’ll drink to that!”

  7. Perhaps it is a case of “Build something your opponents will gladly pay you to dismantle”.. Happens all the time in many industries. Either you are bought off personally or the rights to your product are bought and it is then discontinued to remove it from the marketplace.

    • Farage no doubt getting Pro-EU money to help dismantle the Brexit movement by splitting the vote.
