“WTF is Going on in Downtown LA?”: Army War Drills Continue Across Los Angeles

Having started on Monday, the US Army continues its war drills across the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area through Saturday with the goal of enhancing Army Special Forces skills by “operating in urban environments”, Army Special Operations Command said in a statement.

Residents around Los Angeles may hear sounds associated with the field training exercise, including helicopters and weapon simulations, according to the statement.

“The local terrain and training facilities in Los Angeles provide the Army with unique locations and simulates urban environments the service members may encounter when deployed overseas,” the Army told CBS.

Downtown Los Angeles residents were shocked Monday night when a fleet of Boeing A/MH-6M Little Bird and Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters swooped in around them.

Chase Bank Shuts Down Proud Boys Leader’s Personal Bank Account

Enrique Tarrio, who is the Chairman of the Proud Boys fraternal organization, had his personal Chase bank account shut down abruptly earlier this week.

In a letter obtained exclusively by Big League Politics, the bank informs him that he must shut down all of his accounts by April 1st, 2019, without giving a reason.

This comes just days after Chase Bank’s payment processor, Chase Paymentech, de-platformed him on a website he runs that allows groups and charities to sell merchandise, and raise money for causes. The website, 1776.shop, is most known for selling the famous “Roger Stone Did Nothing Wrong” shirts which Stone was spotted in during the late-night arrest at his home.

Tarrio has been facing months of backlash for his affiliation with the Proud Boys, first getting onto the radar in an article published on The Daily Beast, which asserts that people of color are joining white supremacist organizations. Tarrio is both Cuban, and black, and was profiled in that article.

The Proud Boys, despite simply being a fraternal organization that believes in Western culture, have been smeared as a hate group. Gavin McInnes, the group’s founder, is currently suing the SPLC over their hate group label.

Since the Daily Beast article, Tarrio has been facing an onslaught of targeting by both tech companies, and financial services.

He tells Big League Politics he has been banned from the following services, among others:

Chicago Mayor Proposes Paying 1,000 Residents $1,000 a Month “With No Strings Attached”

When it comes to US cities in dire financial straits, one stands out: the one that has the nation’s leading murder rate, dreary lake-effect weather, endemic corruption and financial mismanagement. It is also the city that experienced the highest daily population exodus in the US (following by and New York and Los Angeles), losing 156 residents a day (strictly due to migration, not murder in case there is confusion) a day in 2017. We are talking of course, about Chicago.

Facebook: The Government’s Propaganda Arm?

Authored by Jeff Charles via Liberty Nation

The social media giant has a disturbing number of former Obama officials in key positions of authority over content…

Imagine for a moment what it would look like if the federal government launched its own social media network. Every day, Americans could freely use the platform to express their views on everything from economic theory to the best tips for baking peanut butter cookies. They could even discuss their political views and debate the important issues of the day.

But what if the government were empowered to determine which political views are appropriate and which are too obscene for the American public? Well, it looks like this is already happening. Of course, the state has not created a social media network; they didn’t have to. It appears the government is using Facebook — the world’s largest social media company — to sway public opinion.

The Government’s Fingers In Facebook

The Free Thought Project recently published a report revealing that Facebook has some troubling ties to the federal government and that this connection could be enabling former state officials to influence the content displayed. The social media provider has partnered with various think tanks which receive state funding, while hiring an alarming number of individuals who have held prominent positions in the federal government.

Ocasio-Cortez Boasts of Steering Democratic Party Left With Green New Deal

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (R-NY) is defending the Green New Deal she and Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) unveiled on Thursday, citing support from 70 House Democrats and all Democrat presidential candidates.

The non-binding resolution calls for a broad range of economic and energy infrastructure transformations in the United States, from ending air travel and the combustible engine to guaranteeing jobs, housing, and health care for all Americans.

Ocasio-Cortez, who is a self-described “Democratic Socialist,” responded to a false version of the resolution that circulated on social media, including her boast about support from Democrats…

“This Green New Deal…would be a raw deal for American families as the cost of energy skyrockets under their leftist plan,” Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY), the chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, said in the WSJ story.

President Trump’s SOTU Affirmed Liberty to Unresponsive Subversives

As Richard Overy relates in his remarkable volume, The Dictators: Hitler’s Germany, Stalin’s Russia, under the Soviet Union system of law, a person could be deemed guilty of a crime simply because he was documented to have had thoughts similar to the thoughts of those who actually plotted and committed a crime even if he had had no part in planning or carrying out the crime. Thus, when I see Bernie Sanders’s bespectacled face, I see not just another person with whom I have some differences of opinion, but, behind his college professor visage, a hideous expression of hatred for all that we hold dear. In like manner do I perceive the other leftists of the Democratic Party with their pro-communism agenda despite their attempts to present those views as mainstream or make them sound less threatening by calling them socialistic.

Pres. Donald Trump spat in the face of the socialists and socialists in sheep’s clothing of the Democratic Party during Tuesday evening’s State of the Union address. “America was founded on liberty and independence and not government coercion, domination, and control,” he said to Republican applause. He continued, “We are born free and we will stay free. Tonight, we renew our resolve that America will never be a socialist country.” These sentences cleared the air. There is no hiding from the truth encapsulated in these words. Fresh air blew through the hall and could be felt over the airwaves.

The Democrats should be repudiating the extreme leftists in their party; instead, they are embracing the far left ideology. During the 1930s and 1940s, the Democrats went through a crisis where they had to repudiate the extreme left wing of the party, which roughly can be designated as those led by Henry Wallace. President Harry Truman fired Wallace from his position as secretary of commerce because he perceived Wallace as being too conciliatory toward the Soviet Union. Wallace subsequently formed the Progressive Party and ran for president against Truman and the Republican candidate, Thomas Dewey, in 1948 but garnered only 2.4% of the vote. Here was a case where the Democratic Party’s leader repudiated the far-left wing of that party. Nevertheless, it was an ironic and striking reality that a large percentage of the Socialist Party platform of 1912 had been implemented in the U.S., including the graduated income tax, by the time Wallace was rejected. Most of the implementation came during the New Deal under President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Only in their program of “Collective Ownership” were the goals of the Socialist Party not met over time. The people of the U.S. decided on regulation instead of ownership. The socialists wanted ownership of all banks, all transportation, all mines, all means of communication, and all land.

The Hijacking of a Presidential Election

Some progressives think we should junk the Electoral College and elect presidents with the popular vote. Other progressives think we should rejigger the College and allocate its votes in a way that is closer to the popular vote. But if one believes in federalism, the above data argues just the opposite. We can’t have the preferences of two populous coastal states being imposed on the other 48 states merely because they have some tiny majority. That’s especially so when those two states are so very different from the rest of the country. Let California have its tent cities, its free healthcare for illegal aliens, and its San Francisco values, but leave us “hicks” in the heartland alone.

Given the above, I think we can say that in 2016 the Electoral College worked as intended, and that America got the correct president, the one she needed. Even so, the electoral vote is derived from the popular vote, so there’s still the nagging little question of what the legitimate popular vote count really was.

One of the safeguards to ensuring the integrity of the popular vote is voter registration. But the states are failing at this important task. Recently, California came under fire for registering illegal aliens at the Department of Motor Vehicles.

The Myth of the Media

There were a handful of newspapers like the New York Times and Washington Post that had the luxury of a national audience, but most had to cater to the genuinely diverse interests and needs of a metropolitan readership. There were also a handful of national news magazines, but these had only modest impact on opinion.

Broadcasting changed all that, and the internet has changed it even more. Now what we call “the media” are simply appendages of rich corporations or ideologically specific news outlets in cyberspace. The vast majority of Americans ignore those media outlets that offend their values or politics, and this, in turn, means that these media outlets ignore those who disagree with them.

What makes this even more myopic is that nearly all the national news outlets are geographically located close to each other and close to Washington, D.C. or New York City and so have the same points of reference even when these media outlets have different philosophical viewpoints.

Italy-France Spat Escalates: Macron Spokesman Condemns ‘Nationalist Leprosy’

The war of words between globalist France and populist Italy has intensified after the Macron government referred to “nationalist leprosy” and criticised Italy’s Luigi Di Maio’s meeting with Yellow Vests.

France recalled its ambassador to Italy for the first time since the Second World War after Italy’s anti-establishment deputy prime minister Luigi Di Maio, of the Five Star Movement (M5S), made an impromptu visit to meet with the anti-Macron government protesters, in what the French government referred to as an “unacceptable provocation.”…

This is not the first time the “leprosy” of populism in Europe has been condemned by the French government.

In June, French president Emmanuel Macron launched an attack interpreted by the Italian government, a coalition of the anti-establishment Five Star Movement led by Mr Di Maio and the right-populist League led by Mr Salvini, as being directed at their country.

“I’m saying to you in the gravest terms: Many hate [the European Union], but they have hated it for a long time, and now you see them rise, like leprosy, all around Europe, in countries where we thought that they would never reappear,” Mr Macron had said.

Islam: The West’s ‘Most Formidable and Persistent Enemy’

At the height of Western dominance over Islam in the early twentieth century, the European historian Hilaire Belloc (b. 1870) made a remarkably prescient observation that may have seemed exaggerated at the time:

“Millions of modern people of the white civilization — that is, the civilization of Europe and America — have forgotten all about Islam. They have never come in contact with it. They take for granted that it is decaying, and that, anyway, it is just a foreign religion which will not concern them. It is, as a fact, the most formidable and persistent enemy which our civilization has had, and may at any moment become as large a menace in the future as it has been in the past” (from Belloc’s The Great Heresies, emphasis added).

Anyone who doubts that Islam has been “the most formidable and persistent enemy which our civilization has had,” should familiarize themselves with that civilization’s long militant history vis-à-vis the West.

According to Islamic history, in 628, Muhammed, the Arabic founder of Islam, called on the Byzantine Emperor, Heraclius — the symbolic head of Christendom — to recant Christianity and embrace Islam. The emperor refused, jihad was declared, and the Arabs invaded Christian Syria, defeating the imperial army at the pivotal Battle of Yarmuk in 636 (see my MA thesis on this battle, which one prominent historian described as the world’s “most consequential”).

This victory enabled the Muslims to swarm in all directions, so that, less than a century later, they had conquered the greater, older, and richer part of Christendom, including Syria, Egypt, and North Africa.

France ‘Doesn’t Want Sea-Watch Migrants Any More’

Paris has changed its mind say interior ministry sources

(ANSA) — Rome, February 8 — France has changed its mind about taking a share of the 47 asylum seekers that recently disembarked from the Sea-Watch search-and-rescue ship in Sicily after a lengthy standoff, Italian interior ministry sources said Friday.

“Now the expectation is for Paris to show the good will with deeds, cooperating to repatriate dozens of undocumented Senegalese who are on Italian territory as soon as possible”. In Britain, the “creators” are also degraded. What kind of sympathy can a garbage bag, which carries its black hijab, as the banner of Islamization? And why is she so fat? Because it does not work and receives benefits.

There are no more landmarks and lighthouses in the world. Europe became Gayrope, China’s schizoid culture is not a panacea either. And from the Judeo-Anglo-Saxon civilization come strange news indicating a loss of sanity.

It remains only to contemplate the starry sky together with Kant.

    • “…the starry sky above me, the moral law within me”. A favourite with Beethoven, a man of strong principles who loved humanity, even if he wasn’t always great with people!

  2. CuomoLand, the dystopian land of horrors where Timmy Cardinal Dolan quakes in fear, swallowing whole a third cupcake. Perhaps an adult coloring book would help, more? You can’t make any of it up as New York’s Rendezvous with Death, itself, accelerates.

  3. “The man is said to be a photographer.”

Correction: “to have been a photographer.”

Not anymore. You need two hands for that.

  4. The proud boys shouldn’t be proud of being boys and should want their countries to become [fecal]holes.
