Fourth-Quarter GDP Increases 2.6%, Better Than Expected
U.S. economic growth was better than expected as 2018 came to a close, with GDP rising 2.6 percent, according to a first estimate the Commerce Department released Thursday.
Economists surveyed by Dow Jones expected a gain of 2.2 percent after a 3.4 percent rise in the third quarter. The growth came amid a bevy of uncertainty and a time when the stock market briefly slid into bear market territory.

China Infiltrating U.S. Education System in Propaganda Coup
The Chinese government has infiltrated nearly every sector of the U.S. education system via a package of programs and monetary schemes that seek to indoctrinate American children and bring the Communist government’s propaganda into the classroom, according to a new report by a Senate investigatory body.
The wide-ranging report by the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee has found that China has spent nearly $200 million on educational entities known as Confucius Institutes. These programs have been instated in U.S. schools across the country with the mission of indoctrinating students and painting a sympathetic portrait of the Chinese Communist government, according to the report.
The institutes are shrouded in mystery and have been the cause of much consternation on Capitol Hill and elsewhere as information about their reach and power in the United States becomes clearer.
While the programs appear on their surface to be mundane—mainly focusing on language and cultural issues—the Senate committee found that these institutes constitute a threat to the United States. The Chinese government, the committee found, “is attempting to change the impression in the United States and around the world that China is an economic and security threat.”
There are more than 100 Confucius Institutes currently operating in America—the most of any country—and China has plans to open many more, according to the report.
“As China opened over 100 additional Confucius Institutes in the United States over the last 15 years, the Department of Education remained silent,” the Senate committee warns in its report.
While Confucius Institutes have become a mainstay on college campuses across the United States, the Chinese government also has plans to expand into the kindergarten through 12th grade curriculum.
“The Chinese government also funds and provides language instructors for Confucius Classrooms, which offer classes for kindergarten through 12th grade students,” according to the report. “Confucius Classrooms are currently in 519 elementary, middle, and high schools in the United States. Continued expansion of the program is a priority for China.”
Sen. Rob Portman (R., Ohio), a member of the Senate committee that conducted the investigation, said the bipartisan report shows a “stunning lack of transparency” about how these Chinese institutes function in the United States
“As China has expanded Confucius Institutes here in the U.S., it has systematically shut down key U.S. State Department public diplomacy efforts on Chinese college campuses,” Portman said in a statement. “We learned that schools in the United States—from kindergarten to college—have provided a level of access to the Chinese government that the Chinese government has refused to provide to the United States.”[…]

House Passes Sweeping Gun Legislation to Expand Background Checks to Cover Virtually All Sales
The House on Wednesday passed legislation to expand gun-purchase background check requirements to cover virtually all gun sales and most firearms transfers, taking its most far-reaching steps in years on gun control.
The bill passed 240-190, after which gun control advocates who were on hand to observe the vote applauded in the House chamber. Eight Republicans voted yes, and two Democrats voted no.
Democrats say extending the checks to cover more private sales is a simple way to have the government flag more people who are barred from buying guns, like felons and terrorists.

Tucker Carlson Defends Alex Jones, Slams Big Tech Censorship
SPLC advising PayPal, other tech companies to shut down conservative voices
The Democrat Party and Silicon Valley have teamed up to severely limit free speech and ban conservative figures like Alex Jones to create a culture of conformity, according to Fox host Tucker Carlson.
“Start with our foundational freedom, speech. If they can tell you what to say, you are not free,” Carlson said on his show Tuesday.
“There is nothing they can’t make you do. That’s why the founders put it first. It’s the freedom that comes before all others. The left has spent decades trying to weaken the First Amendment. They’ve done in the sneakiest way possible by creating phony hate speech exemptions out of thin air.”

They’ve allied with big corporations to make it impossible for people who say the wrong things to make a living in this country. You may have heard of a company called PayPal. A former engineering student who wanted to join ISIS could be paroled in as few as three months to start a “deradicalization” plan, a judge ruled Thursday.
Justice John McMahon sentenced Pamir Hakimzadah to four years and one month in prison —plus three years probation — for his terrorism crime. Once credit for time served is subtracted, Hakimzadah has six months remaining and could be paroled in three months.
Under a deradicalization plan, Hakimzadah will begin spiritual and psychiatric counselling during his probation.

Opposition Leader Calls on Justin Trudeau to Resign

Polar Bear Numbers Reach New Highs
A new paper written by zoologist Dr Susan Crockford to mark International Polar Bear Day today has found that global polar bear numbers have continued to rise. England: Gang Jailed for Rape, Abuse of Children in Foster Care Home
Female lawyers who saw nine men jailed for the rape and violent abuse of two “vulnerable” young girls were subjected to violent verbal abuse themselves outside an English courthouse Wednesday.
The defendants were handed prison sentences ranging between 18 months and 20 years at Bradford Crown Court, where jurors heard they had subjected their victims to “an appalling catalogue of degrading emotional and sexual abuse which … deprived them of their childhood”.
Basharat Khaliq, 38, Saeed Akhtar, 55, Naveed Akhtar, 43, Parvaze Ahmed, 36, Izar Hussain, 32, Zeeshan Ali, 32, Keiran Harris, 28, Fahim Iqbal, 28 and Mohammed Usman, 31, were found guilty of a total of 22 offences including rape and inciting child prostitution, local media reports.

Islamist Convicted for Threatening French Soldiers at Christmas Market
An Islamist in Saint-Quentin, France has been given a ten-month suspended sentence after threatening to slit the throats of soldiers outside of a Christmas market.
The incident occurred on December 21st and saw the 20-year-old approach three soldiers standing guard outside the local Christmas market. He initially told them to clear out of the way for him and then the situation began to escalate, L’Union reports.

Somali Pirate Arrested After Trying to Claim Asylum in Europe
A Somali migrant, alleged to have been involved in piracy incidents in 2010 and 2011, has been arrested after trying to claim asylum in Salzburg, Austria.
The 24-year-old asylum seeker was arrested by Austrian police earlier this week and is believed to have taken part in incidents off the coast of Somalia in which pirates captured two German ships, Austrian newspaper Kronen Zeitung reports.

France’s Minister of Justice has announced that the government will intervene should French Islamic State members be sentenced to death in Iraq for their activities.
Thirteen French Islamic State fighters face trial in Iraq after being captured in Syria and under Iraqi law, the penalty for anyone caught providing material aid to Islamic State or other extremist organisations is death, Le Parisien reports.
Justice Minister Nicole Belloubet said that the French would allow the Iraqis to judge the foreign fighters but would insist on imposing a limit which would not allow the use of the death penalty.

A New Species of Huntsman Spider Described
Senckenberg scientist Dr. Peter Jäger has described four new species in the huntsman spider family. One of the newly discovered animals reveals a surprising specialization: It makes its home inside of bamboo. To enter the plants, the palm-sized, eight-legged creature relies on the help of other animals. This is only the second species of spider known to science whose ecology is closely tied to bamboo. The study was published today in the scientific journal Zootaxa.
Bamboo has a special ecological, economic, and cultural importance, particularly in Asia. Among others, the giant woody grass is used in regional furniture manufacture and home construction, textile production, and as fuel source. “In addition, bamboo also plays a significant role for the fauna,” explains Dr. Peter Jäger of the Senckenberg Research Institute and Natural History Museum in Frankfurt, and he continues: “For many years, my colleague Dr. Damir Kovac has been studying the faunal communities in Southeast Asia associated with bamboo. During his expeditions, he repeatedly noticed spiders that utilized the plant as a ‘one-room apartment.’“

Immigrant Suspected of Five Rapes in Swedish Ski Village
Swedish police have arrested a man with an “immigrant background” following a series of rapes in the resort village of Sälen, according to local media.

Cardinal: Vatican Silence on Homosexuality ‘Cries Out to be Broken’
A prominent German cardinal has decried the Vatican’s unwillingness to discuss the homosexual network in the Church in the context of clerical sex abuse, calling it a “silence which cries out to be broken.”
In an interview this week with the National Catholic Register, Cardinal Walter Brandmüller, the former president of the Pontifical Committee for Historical Sciences, said he was “very disappointed” but not surprised that the topic of homosexuality was not dealt with at the recent Vatican summit on clerical sex abuse.

According to a former patient, the abortionist admitted that she would “break the baby’s neck” if he was born alive after a botched abortion.
The unnamed patient shared her horrifying experience with Pro-Life Action Ministries. She was 22 weeks pregnant when she went to a Planned Parenthood in St. Paul, Minnesota for an abortion in 2017, but she said she chose life after hearing what the abortionists would do to her son.

Green New Deal Reveals the Naked Truth of Agenda 21

Sometimes if you fight hard enough and refuse to back down, no matter the odds, your truth is vindicated and prevails! For twenty years I have been labeled a conspiracy theorist, scaremonger, extremist, dangerous, nut case. I’ve been denied access to stages, major news programs, and awarded tin foil hats. All because I have worked to expose Agenda 21 and its policy of sustainable development as a danger to our property rights, economic system, and culture of freedom.
– From its inception in 1992 at the United Nation’s Earth Summit, 50,000 delegates, heads of state, diplomats and Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) hailed Agenda 21 as the “comprehensive blueprint for the reorganization of human society.” The 350-page, 40 chapter, Agenda 21 document was quite detailed and explicit in its purpose and goals. They warned us that the reorganization would be dictated through all-encompassing policies affecting every aspect of our lives, using environmental protection simply as the excuse to pull at our emotions and get us to voluntarily surrender our liberties.
Section I details “Social and Economic Dimensions” of the plan, including redistribution of wealth to eradicate poverty, maintain health through vaccinations and modern medicine, and population control.
To introduce the plan, the Earth Summit Chairman, Maurice Strong boldly proclaimed, “Current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class — involving meat intake, use of fossil fuels, appliances, air-conditioning, and suburban housing — are not sustainable.” Of course, according to the plan, if it’s not “sustainable” it must be stopped.
In support of the plan, David Brower of the Sierra Club (one of the NGO authors of the agenda) said, “Childbearing should be a punishable crime against society, unless the parents hold a government license.” Leading environmental groups advocated that the Earth could only support a maximum of one billion people, leading famed Dr. Jacques Cousteau to declare, “In order to stabilize world populations, we must eliminate 350,000 people per day.”
Section II provides the “Conservation and Management of Resources for Development” by outlining how environmental protection was to be the main weapon, including global protection of the atmosphere, land, mountains, oceans, and fresh waters — all under the control of the United Nations.
To achieve such global control to save the planet, it is necessary to eliminate national sovereignty and independent nations. Eliminating national borders quickly led to the excuse for openly allowing the “natural migration” of peoples. The UN Commission on Global Governance clearly outlined the goal for global control stating, “The concept of national sovereignty has been immutable, indeed a sacred principle of international relations. It is a principle which will yield only slowly and reluctantly to the new imperatives of global environmental cooperation.” That pretty much explains why the supporters of such a goal go a little off the rails when a presidential candidate makes his campaign slogan “Make America Great Again.”
The main weapon for the Agenda was the threat of Environmental Armageddon, particularly manifested through the charge of man-made global warming, later to conveniently become “climate change.” It didn’t matter if true science refused to cooperate in this scheme as actual global temperatures really are not rising and there continues to be no evidence of any man-made affect on the climate. Truth hasn’t been important to the scare mongers. Timothy Wirth, President of the UN Foundation said, “We’ve got to ride this global warming issue. Even if the theory of global warming is wrong, we will be doing the right thing in terms of economic and environmental policy.” To further drive home their complete lack of concern for truth, Paul Watson of Green Peace declared, “It doesn’t matter what is true, it only matters what people believe is true.”

Again we have the dichotomous possibilities that insanity such as this is
1) The workings of a decrepit, calcified, sclerotic state that can’t get around its own habits even to save its existence; or
2) The expression of a privileged, degenerate, probably intellectually-damaged nobility that genuinely hates its own country and most likely its own existence.
There seems to be a general deterioration in the ability to think abstractly: simply because things have not deteriorated doesn’t mean that we aren’t facing a very rapid slide into anarchy and chaos, once the process begins. I think this is what happened to the people in Venezuela: they voted for a socialist because they thought they would receive benefits for free. Once their situation deteriorated, the state control of media and the police prevented any peaceful correction, and Venezuela became a third-world country.
The same thing can happen in France…or in the US. All the Islamic countries of the Middle East were once prosperous, dynamic, Hellenic, Christian civilizations.

Someone once told me ‘many people lack the ability to imagine evil’
I have since noticed it is quite common for people with a weak or low developed imagination to picture in their minds the natural effects of actions or decisions.
I have noticed this is quite common among nearly all types of administrative workers and decison and policy makers I have encountered. Perhaps it is that politics and any sort of administration tends to attract folks with a mind which is more rigid, compartmentalised in its thought processes and of a generally weak imagination.
Correction:
I forgot to add a few words to my statement:

Is this a genuine tale or an article meant to be witticism directed at pro-life folks?
Either way, it is a somewhat separate issue versus unconditional abortion on demand for perfectly healthy fetuses. It is no secret that the data is fraudulent concerning the numbers of supposedly ‘necessary’ abortions, either for the woman’s health or for the future of a disabled baby.
It is disingenuous to try to seek to entangle people in such an argument.
I have worked with disabled people and their families and parents are divided on this very difficult issue.
It is those such people who are best qualified to join such a debate. Take it to them.
re: Green New Deal and Agenda 21
Agenda 21, and its successor, Agenda 2030 the so-called Sustainability Agenda, are driving forces behind the scenes far more than we realise. One of the reasons why politicians have become so arrogant and aggressive with their socialist agendas, including migration issues, is that they have a strong consensus and written and un-written agreements among themselves to push all the goals of these Agendas. This is true for all Western governments and also among those parties and politicians not in power at the moment. However, nations such as Hungary simply haven’t signed on to some of the goals, such as those for migration.
It cannot be overstated that Agenda 21 / 2030 is a very powerful force in the UN and the EU and it provides a total and totalitarian framework to regulate nearly every single aspect of the life of a nation and its people down to the level of each individual person. For instance, it specifies that education is to be altered to produce children who will become ‘partners’ of these sinister visions.
There was and still is talk among elites of creating or at least promoting a single religion for the entire earth. That is, a religion or semi-religious movement which will be ‘sustainable’ in its ability to provide people with a minimum of spirituality and religious based morality which will not become a threat to world stability and peace. Again, the focus is on ‘sustainability’.
The Pope and his push for migration and partnership with Islam is of itself an extension of the Agenda. The goal, no doubt, is to produce a new form of Catholicism which will be more ‘sustainable’ than the Catholicism of the past which posed a greater threat to Islam and to the migration goals of the Agenda. Again, that all pervasive focus on ‘sustainability’. Such a religion is threatening to the stability of the Agenda. It cannot be allowed to continue. Of course, Islam and its disruptive powers are ignored, possibly in favour of its ability to enforce a peace of its own with enforced compliance and fake community unity and cohesion.
Perhaps this is what the Biblical writer Paul was alluding to when he stated in 2 Timothy concerning the End Times: “They will hold onto a form of godliness while denying its power .” Is this ‘power’ that of Christianity which has often displayed its ability to reform individuals and their communities to bring greater productivity and decency? Viewed in this light, a UN approved and guided new form of Catholicism and even standard Islam itself makes sense to those who want religions which will pose little threat to the goals of the Agenda. So far, moslems have been some of the most fortunate beneficiaries of the Agenda with its goals of greater migration and massive increases in social benefits. Islam has posed virtually no threat to these goals. Anyone and anything which chooses to partner itself with the Agenda will be protected and perhaps supported financially along with police and military force if necessary.
The basic idea of the Agenda is to regulate all main parts of all nations on the earth in such a manner as to create permanent sustainability in every system. For example, a permanent supply of clean water for every human and enough food for all. These are good goals but the methods proposed to achieve them is where the devil lies.
Among those Western politicians who are dedicated to the Agenda there is a very strong sense of belonging to an elite and very powerful club. One bloke likened it to belonging to a mafia in which its members gain a sense of security against their enemies as there is great power guarding them in the mafia’s ability to inflict physical and financial violence. Apparently, this sense of power and consesus behind each liberal and socialist politican now leads to a new arrogance and aggressiveness in their current drives to create and enforce policies which are designed to meet the goals of the Agenda.
Ocasia-Cortez’s arrogance and aggressiveness with the visions and policies she wishes to enforce upon people should not come as a surprise. Given the almost secret and massive power of this new UN elitist club, any politician can gain a sense of invincibility, even in the face of great opposition in their home nations. Knowing that the Agenda demands control of the mass media to further its goals, politicians have less to worry about when the Agenda’s policies are rolled out for the public to view and criticise. The Universities are certainly ensuring that there will be generations of kids who will support, violently if necessary, the Agenda politicians and their goals.
I have been told this very thing by several people who work in the Agricultural industry in government. They emphasised that the agendas are driven by people who are generally well meaning and who attempt to keep the good of the people in mind. However, as these insiders state, it is the outcomes which are not so good and the effects of some of the policies are now currently and will in the future hurt many people for whom such policies are meant to help.
The phrase, ‘The ends justify the means’ is truly a guiding idea of Agenda 21/2030. The violence which our governments are now willing and will be willing to use to enforce the Agendas policies, has only now begun to be shown. This is the tip of the iceberg, I am certain.
The commitment many in government feel towards the Agenda is very powerful and deep and dark indeed.
There aren’t many left but what must the survivors of D-Day be thinking? “We died liberating France just so they could kowtow to savages who make the Nazis look civilized?”
I discussed this very thing a few years ago with a former Navigator / Bomb Aimer of a Lancaster crew. He had flown more than 20 missions over Germany.
When I expressed my frustration of the apparent apathy of today’s youth for the destruction of our nations he simply stated “When push comes to shove, they will fight, just as we did.”
I am still quite sceptical of this view.
