Video transcript:

00:00   Let him go! —You think it’s cool? Stop it, or I’m not coming! Let go, I’m coming!
00:04   Stop it, or I’m not coming! Let go, I am coming! I’m not going to run away!
00:08   You know me. For what reason? For what reason? No!
00:12   Do get in the vehicle, sir; don’t argue. You are under arrest. Go, go!
00:16   A controversial Yellow Vest and a media figure — Eric Drouet was arrested Wednesday evening.
00:20   Royale Street, close to the Champs-Elysées.
00:29   He was put under temporary arrest
00:33   for “organizing a non-authorized [literally: not previously declared] rally”.
00:37   Eric Drouet launched a call for lighting candles
00:41   in support of the wounded from the Yellow Vest movement.
00:46   Eric Drouet’s supporters booed the police officers, while chanting “dictatorship”.
00:54   At first, blocked by law enforcement, the leader justified himself:
00:58   There we clearly have no freedom, in fact. We have nothing, we have no banners
01:02   with us, nothing at all, and we have no right to freely walk down the street. We didn’t stop.
01:06   No congregating, nothing at all. We are walking; as long as you’re walking,
01:09   you have the right to go where you want to. —But today, no, they don’t want us to.
01:12   They think it will calm down this way? It will only get worse.
01:15   It will get worse. Next time we’ll come with the shotguns!

    • I don’t think he wants to be Hitler; he publicly talks of being a god, like Jupiter, but I think he secretly dreams of being a man.

  1. “Next time we’ll come with the shotguns”

By the Rising of the Moon,
By the Rising of the Moon.
And a thousand pikes were flashing,
By the Rising of the Moon.

    Stay the course boys.

  2. Imagine the symbolism of the yellow vests organizing a new storming of the Bastille on Bastille Day. If this were organized and publicized for months in advance it would put the government into a terrible pickle. Everyone is already off on that day since it is a national holiday on par with our Fourth of July, and the government would be forced to deploy hundreds of thousands of military and police (who would not be happy being forced to give up their holiday) as they attempted to prevent the Yellow Vests from repeating the same event that brought on the French Revolution. Countermeasures by the French government would have to be extreme, and would serve to remind every French citizen just how little freedom they have on a day that symbolizes the birth of liberty in France.

      This is brilliant!!
