2019: It is Going to be Much Worse Than You Think…

Let’s start by talking about politics. According to Axios, Donald Trump is currently the subject of 17 different investigations.

Yes, you read that correctly.

We have never seen anything like this in American history. Even during the Nixon era there was some measure of restraint, but at this point they are trying to come up with any angle that they possibly can to get rid of Donald Trump.

And the left truly believes that this is the year that they are going to get rid of him. In fact, the Hill just published an article containing 30 predictions for 2019, and these were the top three…

[Comment: The demented rage of the left has not stopped since Hillary lost. In large part due to the fakstream media and entertainment shows which boil over non-stop with overt venomous hatred of Trump and conservatives. ]

Another Day, Another Exoplanet: NASA’s Tess Keeps Counting More

NASA’s new planet-hunting machine, the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite, or TESS, is racking up scores of alien worlds.

Less than a quarter of the way through a two-year search for nearby Earthlike worlds, TESS has already discovered 203 possible planets, according to George R. Ricker, an astrophysicist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the leader of the project. Three of those candidates already have been confirmed as real planets by ground-based telescopes.

Bozell: ‘CNN is There to Do Nothing But Anti-Trumpism’

“It’s not news anymore.”

CNN has stopped being a new network and is airing nothing but talk shows, Host Mark Levin and Media Research Center (MRC) President Brent Bozell agreed Sunday on Fox News Channel’s “Life, Liberty & Levin” program.

“They don’t report news. How many news programs do they have on CNN. They’re all talk shows,” Bozell said, when Levin asked him if the network is actually a news organization. CNN used to be a legitimate news network, Bozell said. But, today, virtually all of its content is devoted to attacking President Donald Trump, Bozell said, citing a recent example, in which 14 of CNN 15 headlines attacked Trump.

Levin agree, adding that “You wouldn’t know the difference” between a talk show and what CNN claims is a news program.

Chicago Seized and Sold Nearly 50,000 Cars Over Tickets Since 2011, Sticking Owners With Debt

In 2017 alone, Chicago booted more than 67,000 vehicles for unpaid tickets. In about a third of those cases, the driver couldn’t afford to remove the boot, and the vehicle was later towed to a city impound lot.

Of those 20,000 impounded cars, more than 8,000 ended up like Botello’s: They were sold off, with the owners receiving none of the sale proceeds. Instead, the city and its towing contractor pocketed millions of dollars, while residents were left with ticket debt.

DARPA Wants to Build an AI to Find the Patterns Hidden in Global Chaos

That most famous characterization of the complexity causality, a butterfly beating its wings and causing a hurricane on the other side of the world, is thought-provoking but ultimately not helpful. What we really need is to look at a hurricane and figure out which butterfly caused it — or perhaps stop it before it takes flight in the first place. DARPA thinks AI should be able to do just that.

A new program at the research agency is aimed at creating a machine learning system that can sift through the innumerable events and pieces of media generated every day and identify any threads of connection or narrative in them. It’s called KAIROS: Knowledge-directed Artificial Intelligence Reasoning Over Schemas.

DHS Has Equipped 400 Police Departments With Military-Grade Sound Cannons

A recent article in the Mohave Valley Daily News revealed that DHS is using grant money to equip Arizona police departments with military-grade sound cannons or Long Range Acoustic Devices (LRAD).

The Bullhead City Police Department received $54,000 in grant money to purchase a 100X model and a 450XL model LRAD.

The mass media has known about DHS’s plan to equip police departments with LRAD’s for more than a decade but has remained largely silent.

A Washington Times article from 2009, titled “DHS helps local police buy military-style sonic devices” warned everyone that military-grade sound cannons are being used against Americans.

Food Stamp Money Will Run Out by the End of January if the Government Shutdown Lasts That Long

According to the Department of Agriculture, if this government shutdown stretches into February there won’t be money for food stamps. And it certainly looks like this shutdown could last for quite a while, because President Trump is not backing down on his demand for border wall funding, and the Democrats have pledged not to give him a single penny. So a few weeks from now, approximately 38 million people could be suddenly cut off from the food stamp program. If that scenario were to unfold, there is no telling what could happen. After just a few days, government workers are already freaking out about having their paychecks delayed. If people are getting this restless already, what will things look like when tens of millions of Americans are suddenly cut off from their primary source of food money?

Even though the government has been shut down, the Department of Agriculture still has some existing financial resources at their disposal, and they are assuring us that those enrolled in the food stamp program will still receive their benefits “for January”. The following comes from CNN…

MAS-ICNA Hosts Several Islamist and Terrorist Speakers in Chicago

What do you get when you mix a group described by federal prosecutors as “the overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in America” with a group identified as the American front for South Asian Islamist movement Jamaat-e-Islami? The Muslim American Society-Islamic Circle of North America (MAS-ICNA) annual convention: A multi-day, 20,000-person Islamist conference featuring hateful speaker after hateful speaker — taking place right in the heart of downtown Chicago.

Founded in 1993 in Falls Church, Virginia, the Muslim-American Society claims to work for a more “virtuous and just” America while striving for “liberty, and justice.” ICNA, meanwhile, trumpets the work of its subsidiary humanitarian charities and its involvement with “many national interfaith organizations for the betterment of society.” But, while MAS and ICNA’s “About Us” pages are full of encouragingly progressive platitudes, a quick look through the speakers’ roster for the 2018 MAS-ICNA convention (held from December 28-30) is enough to show that MAS and ICNA are not the paragons of tolerance they pretend to be.

Mitt Still Does Not Get it

My dear senator, are you really the last person to the right of the last blue-dog Democrat in America to realize that the reason we have Trump is that the old strategy, that of Republican niceness, was an utter failure? We have Trump because the success of the Reagan years did not result in a fundamental centrist move on the left. We have Trump because the Bush “kinder and gentler … compassionate conservatism” did not result in a kinder, gentler left; it led to Obama and the centralizing administrative-state nightmare of Obamacare. We have Trump because this is a war to the knife.

Then Romney pontificates about moral uplift.

To a great degree, a presidency shapes the public character of the nation. A president should unite us and inspire us to follow “our better angels.”

Sorry, Senator. You are dead wrong on this. Politics is downstream from culture is downstream from religion. The national religion of America right now is a left-wing secular Puritanism. And the left-wing Puritanism dominates the culture: what you and I are allowed to say. And the left-wing Puritan culture dominates what politicians are allowed to say. Where have you been all these years, Senator?

Socialist Democrats: They Didn’t Come to Play, They Came to Destroy the USA

“It’s enough to make you want to puke.”

But it’s the magazine’s [Vanity Fair] social justice warriors’ obvious glee in presenting “Freshman Democrats” Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, Ilhan Omar, Deb Haaland, Veronica Escobar and Sharice Davids whom the magazine proudly states “have sought to project one message since setting foot in Washington: “We did not come to play” bringing on the most grief.

“All six women, along with dozens of others, represent the new face of the Democratic Party-young, non-white, L.G.B.T.Q, disproportionately female, they have indeed proved that “playing” is not on their agenda”. (Vanity Fair)

Nowhere in their florid description does Vanity Fair indicate that all six are Socialist Democrats pushing an agenda to turn America into a Socialist State.

U.S. Cancer Death Rate Hits Milestone of 25 Years of Decline

The U.S. cancer death rate has hit a milestone: It’s been falling for at least 25 years, according to a new report.

But it’s not all good news. Obesity-related cancer deaths are rising, and prostate cancer deaths are no longer dropping, said Rebecca Siegel, lead author of the American Cancer Society report published Tuesday.

US Congresswoman Takes Oath Using Quran Printed in Kuwait

Somali-born Ilhan Omar has officially been sworn-in to represent her constituency in the state of Minnesota at the House of Representatives. Ilhan Omar, a Democrat, put her hand on a copy of the Holy Quran and took her oath, in the presence of the House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Thirty-one-year-old Omar also became the first to wear hijab in US Congress, overcoming a 181-year headwear ban. Rules were changed to allow Omar, a Muslim sworn in on the Quran, to wear a religious head covering on the fl oor of the House. There had been a 181-year ban on headwear of any type in the chamber.

The Holy Quran used by Ilhan during the sworn-in ceremony was one of the thousands of bilingual copies which were printed in Kuwait and distributed all over the world. Palestinian-American Rashida Tlaib, from Michigan, also took her oath to become a congresswoman.

Tlaib, a Democrat, arrived on Capitol Hill to be sworn into the House of Representatives, was wearing a distinctive a traditional Palestinian thobe, without covering her head with a Hijab.

US Foundations and Others Heavily Fund Green Activists

Some of America’s biggest foundations doled out more than half a billion dollars to some of America’s biggest environmental groups

Major foundations handed nearly $4 billion to global warming activists, anti-fossil fuel campaigners and other environmentalists over the past eight years.

“The truth is the environmental left is a deep-pocketed and powerful force in American politics that is working to stop all natural gas, oil and coal production in the United States,,” said Institute for Energy Research (IER) president Tom Pyle.1 .

Some examples: The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation gave out $2 billion in grants to environmental causes, including climate activism between 2008 and 2016. The Energy Foundation handed out $444 million in grants and the Sea Change Foundation doled out $373 million (1) ( More on the Sea Change Foundation later on.)

IER followed the money to more than 1,500 environmental groups, including Climateworks and the Natural Resources Defense Council that got $1.7 billion and $79 million, respectively, from major foundations.

The IER database is only the tip of the iceberg. IER tracked more than 8,000 grants from the 10 largest US-based grant-making foundations over an eight year period. Notably, IER found about four times as much funding than a recent study.1

Significant funding was devoted to global warming related issues and significant funding was also devoted to mobilizing public opinion and to opposing the fossil fuel industry.

Billions more are on the way for the environmental movement. A group of 29 foundations pledged another $3 billion over the next five years ‘to reduce the rate of global warming.’2

[Comment: All these foundations are owned by globalists.]

French PM Says New, Tougher Laws on Unauthorized Protests Coming in Wake of Yellow Vest Clashes

The announcement comes as part of new “public order” measures.

French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe has said that the government will crack down on unauthorized protests and toughen punishment for rioting in the wake of anti-government Yellow Vest demonstrations which began in November.

The new measures will significantly toughen punishment for people who participate in riots, Philippe said, while adding that it was still “necessary to preserve the freedom” to demonstrate in France. Those who want to protest peacefully should not be punished, he said.

The announcement comes as part of new “public order” measures unveiled by the government after the Yellow Vest protests resulted in violence against police officers and government buildings.

Eighty-six years old, yet strikingly lucid, Cipriani firmly opposes the entrance fee Venice plans to impose on tourists who do not spend the night in the canal city after gaining parliamentary approval for Italy’s 2019 budget.

Venice suffers from tourist overcrowding. Don’t you think it should be regulated?

“Two or five euros a day will not decrease the number of visitors. The application will be very cumbersome, if not impossible. Every day about 60,000 people come to Venice to work-will they also have to pay admission? What about those who come here on business, to bring work and wealth? Will there be special passes that authorize exemption categories, like a pass for those arriving by train, car, boat or ferry? I see confusion, bureaucratic bottlenecks, more waste. To make up for the cost of the entrance fee, these ‘hit and run visitors’ will all arrive with a sandwich they prepared at home”…

WSJ: Gun Ownership on Rise in Europe After Terror Attacks, Sexual Assaults

Personal weapons ownership is on the rise in Europe in response to mass sexual assaults and radical Islamic terror attacks, according to the Wall Street Journal.

While the Geneva-based Small Arms Survey found that a rise in personal firearms ownership on the continent represents only 10 per cent of the 32 percent global rise in the decade to 2017, the WSJ remarks that “Europe’s shift has been rapid”.

New ISIS Threat Tells Jihadists to Bomb Electrical Infrastructure

A new online threat from ISIS supporters encourages jihadists to target critical infrastructure, with the suggestion of bombing power stations.

The image shows a faceless figure in a black hoodie with the Islamic State flag holding a bomb with a lit fuse with transmission towers and lines in the background. Along the power lines is the phrase “Just Terror” — the ISIS slogan for lone jihadist operations — and blood-spattered ground.

The State Department Issues a Travel Advisory as the U.S. And China Steamroll Toward Open Conflict

The U.S. State Department has officially issued a level two advisory for travel to China, and U.S. citizens are being warned that they could “be detained” and “subjected to prolonged interrogations and extended detention”. That sounds extremely ominous, but most Americans typically ignore warnings like this and continue with their normal travel plans anyway. However, this time around people might want to take heed, because as you will see below westerners are being grabbed and held indefinitely by China right now. After Huawei Technologies CFO Meng Wanzhou was grabbed while she was changing planes in Canada on December 1st, the Chinese decided that they could play that game too. So if you are planning to travel to China, the truth is that you could very easily become a pawn in a struggle between the world’s two largest superpowers.

If you have not read the travel advisory yet, you can find it right here. The following is how it begins…

[…]

Unfortunately, the Chinese feel justified in doing these things to us, because Canadian officials grabbed Huawei Technologies CFO Meng Wanzhou on December 1st as she was switching planes in Canada. That was done at the request of U.S. authorities, and the Chinese are extremely upset about this.

In the aftermath of that “arrest”, the Chinese grabbed Canadian entrepreneur Michael Spavor and former Canadian diplomat Michael Kovrig. And then subsequently, a “third Canadian citizen” was detained…

[…]

And the Chinese military is being instructed to get prepared for a “military struggle”. The following comes from a mainstream British news article entitled “World War 3 WARNING: China orders army to ‘PREPARE for WAR’ in 2019”…

China has told the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) that they must be prepared for a “military struggle”. The terrifying message was published in an editorial in the PLA Daily, the Chinese army’s newspaper…

Unfortunately, the gap between the U.S. military and the Chinese military has significantly narrowed in recent years, and the Chinese continue to develop extremely impressive new weapons systems.

For example, they just tested a brand new submarine launched missile that can deliver nuclear warheads to U.S. cities…

[Comment: China also recently launched a rail gun equiped ship ahead of schedule.]

Defending a Venezuelan Homestead: “Eventually People Will Come for What You Have”

Note from Daisy: If you aren’t aware, a short time before the collapse became evident, the Venezuelan government confiscated all the guns from people. This left the population disarmed and vulnerable. In this article, Jose discusses some of the very real dangers of being at a rural homestead and ways to defend yourself if you do not have a gun…

J.G. Martinez D. :

My cousins there in the open country of Venezuela tell me that nights are dark. The government cut the power, and hungry people use this to go to the farms and see what they can steal. Don’t rely on your elaborate systems too much.

I must tell you that those who rely on power and water off-the-grid, are wrong. Use it while you have it, but plan for when you stop having it. You will not be able to get supplies for your systems.

“Crisis” of Seriously Ill Migrants Slams Border Patrol — TB, Pneumonia, Influenza, Parasites

[…]Judicial Watch has interviewed medical experts that confirm illegal immigrants do indeed pose a serious public health threat to the U.S. by bringing dangerous diseases into the country. This includes tuberculosis, dengue and Chikungunya. After returning from covering the Central American caravan along the Guatemala-Honduras border, Judicial Watch spoke with a prominent physician in a border state who warned that the migrants will undoubtedly bring infectious diseases into the U.S. Among them are extremely drug resistant strands of tuberculosis and mosquito-borne diseases such as dengue and chikungunya that are widespread in the region.

The same week Judicial Watch published the story about the caravan health threat a major newspaper reported on the health crisis created by the influx of Venezuelans fleeing to neighboring countries. The migrants are spreading malaria, yellow fever, diphtheria, dengue, tuberculosis and AIDS throughout South America. Many of the diseases had been considered eradicated in the neighboring Latin American countries, according to government officials cited in the article, which states that “contagion from Venezuela’s economic meltdown is starting to spread to neighboring countries—not financially, but literally, in the form of potentially deadly diseases carried among millions of refugees.” As an example, the story reveals that “measles reappeared with a vengeance” in a Brazilian city near the Venezuelan border that had declared the highly contagious airborne disease “vanquished” nearly two decades ago. “Measles is already spreading beyond the Brazilian Amazon to other Brazilian states, as well as Colombia, Peru and as far south as Argentina, according to recent Pan American Health Organization reports,” the article states. “Other diseases racing through communities in Venezuela are now crossing borders and raising concerns among health authorities as far away as the U.S.”

Years ago, when Barack Obama let tens of thousands of illegal immigrant minors into the country, health experts warned about the serious hazards to the American public. Most of the Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) came from Central America, like the current caravan, and they crossed into the U.S. through Mexico, in the same way that the caravan expects to. Swine flu, dengue fever and Ebola were among the diseases that the hordes of UACs brought with them, according to lawmakers and medical experts interviewed by Judicial Watch during the influx. At the time, a U.S. Congressman, who is also a medical doctor, told Judicial Watch about the danger to the American public as well as the Border Patrol agents forced to care for the UACs. The former lawmaker, Phil Gingrey, referred to it as a “severe and dangerous” crisis because the Central American youths were importing infectious diseases considered to be largely eradicated in this country. Many migrants lack basic vaccinations such as those to prevent chicken pox or measles, leaving America’s young children and the elderly particularly susceptible, Gingrey pointed out then. To handle the escalating health crisis the CDC activated an Emergency Operations Center (EOC) that largely operated in secrecy.

Italian Archbishop Says No ‘Conscientious Objection’ on Immigration Law

An archbishop has broken ranks from fellow Italian prelates, saying that mayors have no right to appeal to conscientious objection to disobey the nation’s immigration laws — an Italian parallel to American sanctuary cities.

Luigi Negri, the former archbishop of Ferrara, suggested Sunday that bishops who have supported or called for recourse to conscientious objection have overstepped their competence, failing to respect the legitimate autonomy of the political sphere in questions that require prudential judgment. Similarly, mayors who appeal to the principle to disobey immigration laws misuse it.

Mother Kicked Out of British Pub for ‘Transphobic’ T-Shirt

A British mother was kicked out of her local pub after a complaint that her T-shirt emblazoned with the dictionary definition of ‘woman’ was offensive to transgender people.

Rebekah Wershbale was “stunned” when, on a visit to the Five Clouds Tap and Bottle in Macclesfield last week, staff informed her she was barred from the pub as a result of her T-shirt slogan, which read, “Woman — noun — adult human female”.

Psychologists Declare War Against ‘Traditional Masculinity’

The American Psychological Association (APA) effectively declared war on “traditional masculinity” in its newly released rules on how psychologists should deal with men. Acting like masculinity is a disease will only further alienate the men psychologists aim to serve, however. It will also serve to blind psychologists and academics to the good aspects of masculine virtue.

In announcing the new guidelines on the APA website, Stephanie Pappas notedthat most of the top CEOs, business leaders, and politicians are men, but that men also commit most homicides, are most likely to be victims of violent crime, have a shorter life expectancy than women, and face harsher punishments in school.

  1. “Woman — noun — adult human female” I don’t understand the problem. Some women are flat as board, so he potential lack of breasts is clearly not a defining factor, and individuals after a sex change will have a vagina, hence will be female. I don’t buy the “but they’re still infertile” argument because so are many born and bred women and men and nobody would think of them as not such, right? And those people inbetween, just starting on hormone therapy or not done with the surgical part yet? I’m sure they are aware it’s just a temporal state of affairs and are happy about finally slowly feeling right in their bodies.
And those claiming they’re female while spurting a heavy beard and whipping their d’s around? Yeaaah…good luck with feeling offended…

    • I can only surmise that the pub is located in an area with a vocal and thirsty trans clientele. Money makes the rules.

Either that or pub owners are now frightened of bad press.

  2. “‘Hitler Salute’ Conviction for 90-Year-Old Swede Overturned — ‘I Was Waving’” this is just about as ridiculous as Slovakia abolishing the citizenship of a 96 (or so) old lady of Hungarian ethnicity after Orban announced dual-citizenship for Hungarians all over the world and Slovakia swiftly prohibiting dual-citizenship for their citizens in response. That lady was born in Austria-Hungary, she was just happy she can once again have a passport like that, who is a 90+ person going to harm, no matter what they say or do?

    • It’s the idea
People from countries under austrohungary regime where almost destroyed culturally and many where killed
The Huns/hungars where cruel and we will never forget and forgive them
So read and feel the real history before you throw ideas there

      • There’s not a country/area which hasn’t behaved abominably toward one group or another.

Keeping the flame of resentment going is easy. Your refusal to forgive will cause harm – to you. It’s a boomerang, friend.

  3. What is the significance of making an oath on a book that encourages the telling of lies (takiyah). Am I missing something here?

    • At least she is being honest about her intentions. Maybe the other more mendacious members of Congress should swear on it as well. At least we will then know where their sympathies and preferences are and be more able to keep ready watch upon them.

    • Heartbreaking.

Here is a portion of one of the comments from Finland:

“It’s really important to get the information of the Finnish society edging deeper and deeper in disgrace…… French society is close to a collapse and civil war due to the insanely traitorous politics. That is exactly where we are heading too with a small delay……. Are we cowards or are we up to the challenge for defending our children and women and finally ourselves?”

  4. Greek Priest beaten?

I’m surprised if no revenge is inflicted by the local Greeks.
They have generally retained their respect for their religion and religious leaders.

Surprisingly, in my city, the Greek community built a new church. The only Christian group to do so in perhaps 30 years, apart from the Pentecostals. They are such a peaceful and integrated people that the sight of their 2 churches are nearly the only visible signs of their presence in the city.

I grew up surrounded by Greek families and all were good people. It is obvious to me that they are possessive of their culture and seem to be quite willing to fight to keep it.

    • I am sad about this.

I have a Greek Orthodox friend and the church does a lot of good for the Greek speaking community here in Melbourne.

My friend has two children ,has breast cancer ,endured a double hysterectomy, chemotherapy ,radiotherapy and discovered she had cancer the day before news reached her that her father was dying back home.

So she told her doctor she had to go home to see her father and say goodbye.
Her gave her a week to do so.
She got back and had her
father died the morning she went into surgery.

      the church has been wonderful.

They organized a roster so that the women of the congregation come in ,clean the house ,cook and supervise her children .

I am absolutely lost in admiration for those wonderful Greek Orthodox women.

I’d be happy to punch out the lights of any cheeky young whippersnapper who had the gall to beat up a Greek Orthodox priest and I hope the Greek community took matters into their own hands.

      • Wonderful yet also sad story.

Yes, it is true that Greeks, especially the church going inclined, are a very tight knit group. Very family oriented with a high respect for elders.

They also have a great sense of humour.

When I was a kid, the old grand-father of one of my Greek friends would visit from Greece every few years.

He was always outside watering the grass, depressed that there was no large vegetable garden to attend.

Each day after school when I had to walk past their house, he would spray me with the water hose as I ran like lightning past him. He would laugh and his gold teeth would glimmer in the sun.

Sitting on the porch on a little wooden stool he would call me over to him. He had a pocket watch and liked to have me say the numbers on the dial as he pointed to each number. As I called off each number, he would steadily increase the speed of his finger across the dial numbers until I was breathless and tongue tied.

Again, he would laugh, I would admire his gold teeth and he would pat me on the head and say ‘good boy’.

Good times. Love the Greek people.
        Damn I miss my childhood.

  5. War Against Masculinity

I can’t believe how ridiculous the APA manual has become. When I was in University to get a degree in Social Work, which wisely I chose not to pursue fully, the manual was quite good and reasonable in its treatment of sexual and gender issues.

Now it is little more than a political tool of the Left.

When or if our societies become more dominated by moslems, I suspect the war against masculinity will take on a very different tone.

I laugh at the idea that giddy Social Workers will be entering the homes of moslem families and pulling out the APA manual to help guide the prescribed so-called therapies.
