House Democrats Propose Historic Rule Changes to Give Dems Open Checkbook to Fund Government, More Power to Pelosi

Democrats will revive the “Gephardt Rule,” introduced in the late 1970s by Rep. Dick Gephardt, D-Mo., that automatically raises the debt ceiling — the nation’s borrowing limit — once the House passes a budget.

House Republicans preferred to force votes to approve debt ceiling increases in an effort to bring more accountability and political pressure to reduce the nation’s deficit and debt. However, that decision never resulted in reducing spending and only added to a culture of brinksmanship in recent years that often threatened the U.S. into default on its debts and increased economic uncertainty around the globe.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Proposes 70% Taxation to Pay for ‘Green New Deal’

Newly-installed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is calling for 70% taxation on the wealthy as a way to pay for her “Green New Deal,” which proposes to use government to create new jobs by investing in renewable energy.

In an interview set to air Sunday on CBS News’ 60 Minutes, Ocasio-Cortez — who has begun referring to herself by the nickname, “AOC” — told Anderson Cooper that the “Green New Deal” would “require a lot of rapid change that we don’t even conceive as possible right now,” including raising taxes to a marginal rate of 70%, as in the 1960s.

AOC referred to the 70% rate on people at the “tippy-tops” as the rich merely paying their “fair share” of the tax burden.

Good Cop Honors Oath to Constitution, Stops Bad Cop Who’s Tasing a Man for His Free Speech

In 2016, Condiotti-Wade and Eric Brandt fashioned signs to express their opinion on police and went to the Adams County Human Services building — a public property. As the two men protested with their signage, someone inside the building became offended and called police.

As Condiotti-Wade’s attorney, David Lane, explained to Westword, “Somebody inside called the Commerce City police, and these two cops” — officers Chris Dickey and Ryan Sedgwick — “came up to them and said, ‘You guys have been asked to leave. You need to pack it up.’“

At first, Brandt chose to assert his right to be on public property but after some threats by the officers, the two men walked to the sidewalk. It should have been over at this point, but officer Dickey persisted and then demanded Condiotti-Wade — who never said anything — show him his ID. When he refused, all hell broke loose.

Lane explained that “the body cam shows the cop made a move toward Josh and fell. I guess his shoes were slick, because Josh didn’t do anything to him, didn’t touch him. But when the cop got up, he was pissed, and he and the other cop started chasing Josh and began to fire tasers at him. One of them hit him in the arm, but that didn’t complete the circuit — so he was running around with a taser dart in his arm.”

It was around this point that something amazing happened, however. Dickey’s supervisor, Commander Mark Morgan came out and put an immediate stop to the rights violations. The dialog was as follows:…

U.S. Congressman Roe Wants Answers Concerning Explosion at Holston Army Plant

U.S. Congressman Phil Roe said Friday he plans to demand more information on Thursday’s fire and subsequent explosion at Kingsport’s Holston Army Ammunition Plant that injured one person and rattled homes miles away.

During a weekly conference call, Roe, R-Johnson City, said an investigation is warranted into what caused the blaze and blast.

He also noted that he found about the explosion though local media sources and did not receive details from HAAP personnel.

“Well, I think I should know what happened. If you have an explosion and I’ve been to (Holston Army Ammunition Plant) many times and I would just like to know what happened, what the cause was, any injuries and so forth. I don’t know any of that,” said Roe.

The congressman also said he planned to make sure proper procedures were in place to get the federal and state investigations underway.

“Sure. We should know what happened. They know what they do is very dangerous and they take great pains to make it as safe as they can. I do know that. There are many safety measures, been there on many occasions, been through it on multiple occasions. Yes, I’ll be chasing it down,” he said.

German Politicians Targeted in Mass Data Attack

Hundreds of German politicians, including Chancellor Angela Merkel, have had personal details stolen and published online.

Contacts, private chats and financial details were put out on Twitter that belong to figures from every political party except the far-right AfD.

Data from celebrities and journalists were also leaked.

It is unclear who was behind the attack, which emerged on Twitter in the style of an advent calendar last month.

German Interior Minister Horst Seehofer said the authorities were working hard to find the perpetrator. There was, he said in a statement, as yet no evidence that German parliamentary or government systems had been compromised.

The leak appears to have originated on a Twitter account operated from Hamburg and the authorities in the north German city say they are now working with the Irish Data Protection Commissioner to stop the spread of German politicians’ data.

As Twitter’s European headquarters are located in Dublin, the leak falls under the remit of the Irish data protection authority, national broadcaster RTE reports.

It is the latest intervention by Britain as it attempts to deter migrants from making the dangerous crossing from France.

The Dutch offer has has once again fuelled the fire of bitter argument amongst EU countries about the shared burden of rehousing rescued migrants. Italy Sees Huge Drop in Migrant Arrivals After Salvini’s Tough Line — Spain Now Top Route

taly, under its hardline anti-immigration government, slashed the number of illegal migrant entries dramatically last year to 23,371, around a fifth of the number recorded in 2017, when 119,369 people crossed over from Libya. In November, the populist government in Rome passed a new law that clamps down on asylum rights and boosts funds for police, handing far-right Interior Minister Matteo Salvini his first major legislative win. While Italy will still award asylum to war refugees or victims of political persecution, it will no longer hand out “humanitarian” asylum, which was given to those who had “serious reasons” to flee their home country — a category that has often included men and women fleeing harsh anti-gay laws in Africa.

  1. “British Home Secretary Sajid Javid said that illegal migrants who cross the Channel to Britain will be repatriated without a chance to gain asylum in the UK. France has confirmed that it will help Britain interdict the migrants.”

    Nothing more than a sop.

They know the people are ready to explode. Now trying to show us just how considerately attentive to our concerns they (now) are. How nice.

    Don’t trust or believe them.

I’m now holding out until the Nuremburg Mk 2 Trials. There is now no gentle way out at this point.

    • “British Home Secretary Sajid Javid said that illegal migrants who cross the Channel to Britain will be repatriated without a chance to gain asylum in the UK”.

Purely as a divergent aside I find myself wondering what should happen to the currently millions of illegal immigrants that have already got in?

Does Mr Javid have the same view with this problem?.

If impartial observers can see my point?

    • The peoples of the EU don’t appear to have the will to survive. They’ve disowned their Christian roots, and want goodies from the state, while EU Woman refuses to have babies.

  2. Everything is very incomprehensible with this explosion in Magnitogorsk. The authorities are clearly hiding something.
But the media made the hero of some Uzbek Salafi, who, leaving the morning namaz (!!!), ran to save people. All central media wrote about it. In this case, all the locals write that everything was cordoned off, outsiders could not be there. And most importantly – the time of the explosion does not coincide with 1 hour and 40 minutes with the schedule of prayers around Magnitogorsk.

  3. re: Muslim Community Patrols

Heard credible rumours that official tolerance of these patrols will be ‘complaint driven’ and as long as no crimes are committed by these patrols they will be viewed as ‘partners’ within the law enforcement community. Also, if proven successful over a certain period of time, the expansion of such patrols will be seriously considered by both parties. As was relayed in this same conversation, as long as ‘social and community cohesion and stablility is maintained or increased, such patrols will be viewed with much greater respect going forward.’

  4. This from a Govnt. that passed off middle aged
Men as vulnerable children from Calais not so long ago.

When caught red handed they belatedly tried to hide
    This fact.

Until they stop calling these criminals “migrants” nothing
Will change. WOULD LIKE TO SEE Televised independently
Monitored deportations within one week of their capture.

Think back to the sixties when Brits returned from the
African commonwealth States (made unwelcome being
White) to be told they were entitled to NOTHING as
They hadn’t paid NI stamps. Men who had fought in WW2
And encouraged to go to Africa by the UK Govnt. in the
First place. Contrast this treatment to that given to 3rd
World chances who have had the red carpet rolled out
    For them

Also consider the treatment given to the White farmers
In South Africa or Christians in the Middle East who
Would seem to be deliberately ignored by the UK and
Europe despite facing the very real prospect of
Genicide. Think of the Jewish people leaving the west
In droves because of the hostility they face in the
New diverse “paradise” created by monsters like
Mutti Merkel, Macron, tusk and the drunken Juncker.

Believe nothing this useless UK pronounces!
