  1. The speaker refers twice to the “45 words” of the First Amendment of the U.S. federal constitution, but does not quote them:

“Congress shall made no law [1] respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;* [2] or abridging the freedom of speech, [3] or of the press; [4] or of the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and [5] to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” (Yup, 45 words.)

But this restricts only laws made by the federal Congress, not regulations promulgated by agencies, laws made by state legislatures, or Community Standards made by private albeit monopolistic companies.

*This provision of the First Amendment was later abrogated by passage of the Thirteenth Amendment, which prohibited the free exercise of the Islamic doctrine of right-hand possession.

  2. Does anyone know if Pat Condell has to live in hiding, or with ‘personal bodyguards’ ?

I’m a big fan of his, but I think if he goes on talking like this, it can’t be long before the ‘Bigs’ of social media put out a contract on him.

    • He’s been censored by YouTube, but (so far) not in this case- maybe they’re not quite bold enough yet?

      • Also (excuse late addition) his Twitter feed has been censored. He’s had death threats there too; I don’t know about his security arrangements (given the UK government’s lamentable record with Tommy Robinson, probably nothing official), but it was a link to Pat’s Twitter account from my brother in Vancouver that led me to “Gates”.
