A Detailed Takedown of a Failed Coup D’état

In his bestselling “The Russia Hoax: The Illicit Scheme to Clear Hillary Clinton and Frame Donald Trump”, Fox News legal and political analyst Gregg Jarrett captures the very heart of a very, very big scandal — arguably the biggest scandal in all of American history. And that’s saying something.

Right off the bat, in a preface titled “An Insidious Abuse of Power,” Jarrett launches on the beginning of a very detailed, decidedly specific recounting of the cunning game played by powerful government elites determined to stop the election of Donald Trump — and when that failed, to undermine his presidency with the goal of abruptly ending it.

The story is chilling. Among other things Jarrett writes lines like these:

* “This is what abuse of power looks like.”

* “Armed with immense power, Comey and other top officials at the FBI became the law unto themselves. The end would justify the means…”

* For “reporters and anchors…their bias against Trump was so impassioned and pervasive that it became impervious to the facts.”

* Fired FBI Director James Comey “admitted pilfering government memorandums… for the sole purpose of triggering a special counsel who just happened to be his longtime friend and ally, Robert Mueller.”

* “…the FBI, as well as the Department of Justice, had become cesspools of corruption that played a direct hand in attempting to influence the election and subvert the democratic process.”

[…]

The very first sentence of the first chapter is short and directly to the point:

“This is a story of corruption.”

Indeed it is, and what a stunning story it is. As Jarrett says, this is a “cautionary annal of the damage wrought when those who serve in government seek to undermine it.” And but of course the story begins with… shocker I know… Hillary Clinton.

The Clinton part of this tale is told in pointed detail. Gregg Jarrett is, among other things, a lawyer. Thus his recounting of what the new Secretary of State did in terms of playing a game with her infamous emails is matched with the exact cit[ations] of which federal laws were being so brazenly violated.

He points out, for example, that when “a government official creates or obtains a record during the course and scope of his or her employment, the Federal Records Act and the Foreign Affairs Manual require that it be captured and preserved by the agency.”

[…]

Of course, while Hillary Clinton’s corruption was the starting point for all of this, it is far from alone in being a driving factor in The Russia Hoax.

Considering all the “deep doo-doo” Hillary was in (to borrow a favorite phrase of the late President George H.W. Bush), she needed serious bureaucratic help. And that help was forthcoming — from FBI Director James Comey.

Jarrett, again in precise detail, tells the tale of Comey’s infamous July 5, 2016 press conference that had the FBI Director clearing Clinton. If anything, Jarrett understates when he describes this jewel of Establishment Insider backscratching as “one of the most bizarre, bewildering, and incomprehensible explanations of a legal case in modern American history.” Even I, a humble non-lawyer, watched that event unfold, listening to Comey read what Jarrett describes correctly as “a lengthy statement that presented a compelling case of how Clinton repeatedly violated the law.” And after doing so, I listened, astonished, as Comey suddenly said [she didn’t intend to break the law]…

[…]

After zeroing in on Clinton and her dealings with the Uranium One “gravy train” — another adventure in detail — Jarrett gets to what is effectively Part Two of this prospective coup: “The Fraudulent Case Against Donald Trump.”

[…]

Which is to say, this part of the tale is the reason for the first part. There was such antipathy to Donald Trump from the entire (bipartisan) Washington “Swamp” and the Old Order that runs it — not to mention from Hillary Clinton herself — that all the players involved had one goal in mind. To borrow the line from the Clint Eastwood Secret Service thriller In the Line of Fire, that line is: “Take the subject out.”

And thus the no-holds barred and decidedly “fraudulent” case against Donald Trump.” Designed to take first the Trump candidacy, and then when that failed, the Trump presidency… out.

How Never-Trumpers Have Become Unhinged

There are many terms for turncoats. Benedict Arnold, who turned on the Colonies in the Revolutionary War, comes to mind. Judas turned on Jesus. A “quisling” has become a commonplace term used for people who betray a cause or a country. Most people do not know Quisling was actually a Norwegian traitor during World War II. Never-Trumpers are not exactly up on the traitor standards of these three collaborators, but their actions border that.

After the Kavanaugh hearings, many people who had previously questioned President Trump came home to the Republican Party. They saw the savagery of the Dems against the former member of the Bush administration, Bush appointee to the Appeals Court, and perceived mainstream Republican.

Recently, I spoke with a prominent Bushie asking whether the appointment of Kavanaugh and now William Barr to be Attorney General, after having the same position under President George H. W. Bush has caused Bush supporters to support Trump. The answer was “No, it is because of the policies that Trump has put in place.”

That has not paused some people in the unrelenting attacks on Trump which gave fodder to the liberals and helped Democrats win in this most recent election cycle. One of those people is Bret Stephens who now works for the NYT. When he left the Wall Street Journal, I questioned if he would be influencing his new colleagues or they him. It is apparent which way that has gone.

Stephens recently wrote “This week’s elections were, at most, a very modest rebuke of a president reviled by many of his opponents, this columnist included, as an unprecedented danger to the health of liberal democracy at home and abroad.” Mr. Stephens, how exactly is he an “unprecedented danger to democracy”?

His column was written concurrent with a crowd of people gathering outside the residence of a journalist, Tucker Carlson, threatening his family and his home. This kind of behavior has gone on regularly — whether it is formally members of Antifa or whether it is just people prodded by MoveOn.org or A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition. Where has your newspaper been in calling for the end of such belligerent and sometimes illegal behavior? Where was the NYT editorial calling for this behavior to end? Where was Stephens’ op-ed attacking these groups?

[…]

Any action against Trump is OK in these people’s minds because he is a “clear and present danger.” Though they cannot point to exactly what he has done that is so dangerous. They just echo chamber the opposition and then it becomes the truth to them even though it cannot be substantiated with actual examples.

The latest proof of Trump being a “danger to all free people” was his recent run-in with CNN’s Jim Acosta at a press conference after the mid-terms. Never-Trumpers used this as proof that Trump is on the road to dictatorship and suppression of our free press.

The reason Acosta had his WH press credentials taken away was for his ensuing rude and selfish behavior. He insisted on keeping the microphone, trying to either ask another question or further lecture the president. Other members of the press were waiting their turn to address the issue they were concerned with at the time. Acosta does this regularly with Press Secretary Sanders.

Sunday Talks: HPSCI Chairman Devin Nunes Discusses Flynn Case…

[…] Most people forget the background of how the Mueller probe was constructed. FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and FBI chief legal counsel James Baker selected most of the special counsel investigators; those two then recommended to Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein that he hire Robert Mueller as special counsel lead.

Comey was fired. The remaining ‘at-risk’ corrupt FBI leadership (McCabe and Baker), positioning to defend their own interests, selected the “small group”; then Mueller was selected and brought on his additional team members. The entire purpose of the special counsel operation was to cover-up the DOJ/FBI

activity.[…]

Caroline Glick: What is the U.S. Policy Towards Lebanon?

According to the Israeli media, during his meeting with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Brussels last Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asked for the U.S. to impose an economic embargo on Lebanon.

Pompeo reportedly rejected Netanyahu’s request.

The meeting between the two men took place on the eve of Israel’s initiation of Operation Northern Shield last Tuesday. The operation is a military effort geared towards sealing Hezbollah’s offensive subterranean attack tunnels. It follows Israel’s stunning revelation that it had discovered the locations of Hezbollah’s attack tunnels, perhaps Hezbollah’s most secret undertaking.

According to Netanyahu, Hezbollah launched its offensive tunnel project in 2014. The existence of the tunnel program was known to almost no one in the organization.

Hezbollah’s tunnels traverse the border between Lebanon and Israel. Hezbollah reportedly intended to have the tunnels serve as a means to invade Israeli territory rapidly and undetected. It is the declared goal of Hezbollah to conquer northern Israel in its next war against the Jewish state.

The Trump administration’s rejection of Israel’s request to impose economic sanctions on Lebanon signals that it supports Israel’s efforts to neutralize the threat that Hezbollah poses, with its powerful army and massive arsenal of short and long range missiles. But — like the Bush and Obama administrations before it — it rejects Israel’s interpretation of the relations between Hezbollah and the Lebanese government and armed forces.

The disparity between the U.S. and Israeli positions on the nature of Hezbollah’s relationship with the Lebanese government and Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) emerged during the Second Lebanon War in 2006…

Feature: Holiday Spirit Prevails in Syria’s Damascus With Return of Peace

DAMASCUS, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) — For seven years, the festive mood of the holiday season in Syria’s capital Damascus largely disappeared, and the celebrations were confined to prayers for the country to regain its old renowned peace.

In the past years of war, Christmas decorations were missed as the streets of Bab Touma and Qassa neighborhoods in Damascus were a target of daily mortar shells by the rebels in the nearby Eastern Ghouta countryside.

For those who would celebrate, the holiday was an occasion to remember the neighbors and the loved ones who had gone in the spiraling war in the country and the rain of mortar shells.

This year, however, people were celebrating their hearts out and the festive mood of the Christmas, and the New Year atmosphere is felt even before the actual occasion comes, which would be the first holiday season to come to Damascus in seven years after the last rebel left Eastern Ghouta in May.

More Than 40 People Injured in Restaurant Explosion in Sapporo, Japan

More than 40 people have been injured, one seriously, after a blast tore through a restaurant in northern Japan.

The explosion occurred in Sapporo, the capital city of Japan’s northern main island of Hokkaido, and caused nearby apartment buildings and houses to shake.

Police said 42 people were injured, most of them mildly, though one was in serious condition. They were rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.

The cause of the explosion, which occurred at a two-storey restaurant in Sapporo’s Toyohira district, is under investigation, police said, adding that they had no further details.

TV footage from Japanese public broadcaster NHK showed the restaurant in flames, with debris scattered on the ground.

The footage later showed gray smoke billowing from the restaurant as dozens of firefighters poured water onto the building, which was charred and nearly collapsing.

Windows on an apartment building next door were broken, and cars parked outside were partially covered with debris that had fallen on them…

  1. “Afghan Grins in Mugshot After Beating up Swedish Elderly Woman and Calls Her “A Racist”” so this was his 13th offense in Sweden and still no deportation? The “three times and out” sure is a nice law to have (even though my own country doesn’t have it, unfortunately. Even better would be “three times and done” for citizens and “one time and out” for any kind of immigrant, expat, etc. And allowed “police brutality” on those who are smug about committing crimes, especially towards vulnerable individuals like children and the elderly.

    • The Swedish government I am sure is in reality pleased with the overall success and spread of sharia law and how it has begun to be applied to the native Swedish. Yes, some muslims become a little too violent and the government tells the perpetrator to relax and be more understanding. However, the process of implementing sharia seems overall quite a success. Swedes are now learning proper sharia compliant behaviour: don’t walk in muslim areas, woman should be with a male chaperone, don’t dress provocitively etc. etc. The government is also implementing the behaviour codes against itself, as it must, such as not judging a muslim in the courts too harshly by infidel standards and laws.

The governments’ task of policing the native Swedes, especially the populists, is now becoming an easier task with the help of the muslims applying their sharia to the Swedes.

Sweden is now a model nation.

    • Well lets hope one dark and bitter cold a few brave Vikings will catch him and steal his pants and let him walk home – preferable at 45 below zero. That will solve the problem !

  2. In the dormitory of the Moscow University, 400 students from the Caucasus who “set their own rules” were detained.

“Rosgvardi fighters began to clean up and check the passport regime. Under the press were students from Ingushetia who established their own rules: “Whoever is not with us is under us,” demonstrative bearing of weapons, that’s all, ”the publication says.

    • Those Caucasus muslims, particularly the Chechens, are a violent group. Grozny I believe has been voted most dangerous city on earth at least a few times.

  3. Far more appalling than the Democrat/establishment/cultural-marxist coup against Donald Trump is the GOP refusal to take any role in protecting the President. Indeed, numerous GOP figures seem to be assisting the enemy (thankfully deceased John McCain and the aptly named Jeff Flake) while others seem to avert their eyes and pretend not to notice, refusing to play any part.

  4. Little about the customs of Chechnya.

Recently, Kadyrov’s cousin was responsible for the death of an entire family in a car accident.

But in the end, the father and grandfather of the victims (!!!) begged Kadryrov not to punish the culprit and not to remove him from the post.

    Tribalism level 100!

  5. Do you remember some time ago there was a post about the construction of a military temple in Russia?

Apparently things are very bad for greedy priests – they forcibly collect money for the temple from the servicemen.

    https://govoritmoskva.ru/news/183314/

Now the priests have some kind of contention with Ukraine (I don’t follow this and even turn off the news). But apparently they have all the energy left for it, because in recent times I have not heard idiotic initiatives from them.

I do not like Cyril. There is a sensational video where he said that Slavs before Christianity were animals.
And animals can be killed, slandered, deceive …
I do not like the Orthodox Church.

    • Is this slander against Slavs directed at the Ukrainians?

If so, that’s what I would expect.

Animosity towards Ukrainians is very common with many Russians. I see it all the time. Russia has much greater problems with islam than they have with Ukraine. I mean no offense Elena.

      • By the way. If we are talking about Ukraine and the Orthodox Church. There is one curious detail.

The Ukrainian Orthodox Church decided to separate from the Moscow Patriarchate.
The unifying meeting of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church occur by THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE.
        https://www.bbc.com/russian/features-46582237
“The working language of the meeting was English with simultaneous translation into Ukrainian.”

        Make a conclusion

  6. You misunderstood me. Obviously, the meaning of the phrase was lost during the translation.
I meant that I do not follow the news related to the ROC at all, even in the light of the GREAT skanadal with Ukraine.
You see … I have a complex worldview system based on neo-platonism. Abrahamic religions have no place in it.

I can’t be offended. I’m not responsible for what these idiots are doing at the head of the country. I’m only responsible for myself. Yeah, and I have megalomania… (joke)
