Gates of Vienna News Feed 11/29/2018

Canada’s budget agency says that it costs the Canadian government $14,000 per annum for each migrant it takes in, making a total of $340 million for the past year. However, I assume those dollars are loonies, so it’s not really all that much money.

In other news, in London the Metropolitan Police reportedly drop all investigation into about one-third of reported crimes after the initial phone call from the victim.

Prepare for the Worst: The Federal Reserve Wants More Interest Rate Hikes

The Federal Reserve still wants more interest rate hikes. Vice Chairman of The Fed, Richard Clarida, says more interest rate hikes are coming but he doesn’t know just how many times he’ll jack up the rates as of yet.

[Comment: He’ll be ordered by private Fed’s owners to jack up the rates as many times as necessary to crash the economy.]

President Trump: ‘My Biggest Threat is the Fed’

President Donald Trump has repeatedly attacked the chairman of the Federal Reserve (The United States’ central bank) for rising interest rates. Now, Trump is blaming General Motors layoffs on the Fed and Jerome Powell, whom he handpicked to run it.

According to Fox Business, in January, when the Senate confirmed Powell, a member of the Fed’s board of governors, to replace Janet Yellen as chair, he signaled that he would mostly support current Fed policies, including gradual increases to interest rates. Since then, Trump has been quoted as saying: “My biggest threat is the Fed. Because the Fed is raising rates too fast, and it’s too independent.” Trump made those comments during a FOX Business interview back on October 16.

Central banks, along with government, have largely been the cause of all depressions and recessions, so he’s not completely wrong that the Fed is playing a heavy-handed role in the economy. The Federal Reserve is every single freedom-lovers biggest enemy. Unfortunately, not many Americans even understand what the central bank is and what it does.

[Comment: Private banksters use their created boom bust cycles to enrich themselves by wringing out the wealth from nations. The same way one would wring out a wet cloth to extract the water.]

The US is Spending $1.5 Billion on Debt Interest Every Day

Several weeks ago, when looking at the US budget data for the recently concluded (Sept 30) Fiscal 2018, we noted that the most troubling observation in the latest data (besides the growing deficit, rising spending and shrinking tax revenues) was that the government paid $523 billion in total interest in fiscal 2018, the highest on record.

[Comment: Getting a country to “borrow” money from private bankers scam was designed to entrap the country into a debt spiral. This is by design. The greatest period of growth in America was when the country had no private central bank.]

Venezuela is Said to Tell IMF That Inflation Hit 860% Last Year

Venezuela’s central bank sent key economic data to the International Monetary Fund last week to avoid penalties in the most significant trove of statistics compiled for the lender in about two years, according to three people with direct knowledge of the matter.

The official figures admit that inflation spiraled out of control to 860 percent in 2017 while the economy contracted 15.7 percent, the fourth straight year of recession, according to one of the people who isn’t authorized to speak publicly on the matter. After Venezuela suspended the publication of growth and inflation data in the midst of the unprecedented crisis, the IMF warned of possible sanctions for withholding statistics and the central bank complied by sharing the figures Nov. 20, the people said.

After Banning Alex Jones, YouTube Still Hosts Race Hate Supremacists Duke & Farrakhan

YouTube is still hosting content by race hate supremacists David Duke and Louis Farrakhan months after it permanently banned Alex Jones.

As part of the coordinated Big Tech purge targeting Infowars, Jones’ YouTube channel, which had over 2 million subscribers at the time, was completely removed by Google-owned YouTube back in August.

Even videos uploaded by other users which briefly feature Jones are still being removed, with the radio host having been completely de-personned by the corporate giant.

However, the video platform is still hosting content from proven race hate hustlers Duke and Farrakhan.

Fearing Espionage, US Weighs Tighter Rules on Chinese Students

WASHINGTON — The Trump administration is considering new background checks and other restrictions on Chinese students in the United States over growing espionage concerns, U.S. officials and congressional sources said.

In June, the U.S. State Department shortened the length of visas for Chinese graduate students studying aviation, robotics and advanced manufacturing to one year from five. U.S. officials said the goal was to curb the risk of spying and theft of intellectual property in areas vital to national security.

Twitter’s Jack Dorsey Lied to Congress

I may be signing my own Twitter death warrant with this opinion piece but so be it if I dare to criticize and accuse the man who has more power to influence American political thought than Vladimir Putin ever could dream of having. That man is Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey. By silencing conservative thought, he can control much of America’s political dialogue, with his minions deliberately steering it in a leftist direction reflecting their inner beliefs, while blaming it on inanimate software. Pushed to the wall, they bleat that the algorithm made them do it.

As this Congress winds down, news comes that a House Committee is belatedly investigating whether Dorsey lied to Congress during recent testimony. My only question is whether his lips were moving:

Two More Women Accuse Neil Degrasse Tyson of Sexual Misconduct

Two more women, including a fellow astronomer, say Neil deGrasse Tyson is guilty of inappropriate sexual conduct.

Dr. Katelyn N. AAS didn’t have a mechanism for reporting sexual harassment at the time, but Dr. Allers says she probably would report the incident if it had happened today.

Why We Need Anti-Censorship Legislation for Social Media, Stat

Louis Farrakhan remains on Twitter, while Jesse Kelly was supposedly permanently banned—then reinstated suddenly, without explanation, after Congress began to sniff around.

That pretty much tells you all you need to know about the left’s institutional biases, and why we desperately need anti-censorship free speech legislation for social media. Kelly, a Federalist senior contributor and combat veteran, and whose posts were frequently both funny and informative, was banned without warning or explanation. At the time, he was told the ban was permanent.

Yet Farrakhan, with his decades-long record of racist and anti-Semitic incitement on and off social media, is still untouched.

WOW: Money Raised After Pittsburgh Shooting Went to an Islamic Center With Terror Ties

by Matt Vespa

In late October, Robert Gregory Bowers, a vicious anti-Semite, walked into the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh and shot and killed 11 people. Several people were injured, four of which were police officers. It was tragic—but of course, everyone blamed President Trump for reasons only morons understand. There were protests when he visited the site. Everyone was creating controversy when there needed to be none. But now, we have another controversy that could be brewing that isn’t related to Trump. It centers on anti-Semite Linda Sarsour. The anti-Israel activist seems to have been exposed for cheating the Tree of Life synagogue from money fundraised after the tragic shooting.

Now, some money was given to Tree of Life, around $10,000, but that was part of an effort to repair Jewish cemetaries that were vandalized. Since the shooting, around $240,000 were raised, but it appears little, if any, has been sent to Tree of Life. Of that $240,000-figure, $155,000 went to the the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh…

Canada Under the Trudeaus

For Justin Trudeau and his Liberals, Canada needs to be an open border global sanctuary country. It is also illustrated by the public shame Justin Trudeau’s Liberals feel over Canada’s past, and the unending apology offered to those claiming victimhood due to that “shameful” past.

Evidence ranges from Justin’s gifting $10 million of taxpayer money to Omar Khadr, an Al Qaeda affiliated terrorist, and pandering to that large segment of Muslims in Canada supportive of Muslim Brotherhood (MB) and related organizations. The Liberal government recently handed $23 million of taxpayer money to the National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM), which is affiliated with the Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) that maintains deep connections with the MB and its Shariah-promoting agenda.

Evidence exists in Justin Trudeau’s Liberal majority support in parliament for the phony motion M-103 on the phony issue of “Islamophobia” to censor legitimate discussions on Islam or Islamism, and the real threat of jihadi terrorism in Canada. There is the recent doling out of $50 million of taxpayer money to the Palestinian Authority (PA) on the bogus notion that such support advances “peace” the PA seeks, while it wages an unending war against Israel and agrees with Saudi Arabia against Canada over human rights issues in the Kingdom.

Justin Trudeau’s policy of welcoming back home Canadians who joined ISIS and travelled to the Middle East on a jihadi junket is deeply offensive to most Canadians. Now he is set to sign the UN Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration at an intergovernmental gathering in Marrakech, Morocco, on December 10-11, 2018. Global Compact is an agreement in the making of a borderless world administered by the UN that Justin Trudeau agrees with given his embrace of globalism.

Is Trudeau Setting Up a Government Department to Monitor and Counter-Attack Election Coverage He Doesn’t Like?

I’ve said that we’re the only media outlet in Canada that isn’t lining up for Justin Trudeau’s pre-election media slush fund of $595,000,000. But that’s not 100 per cent true.

There is a small outlet in Ottawa called Blacklocks. I think they just have a handful of reporters, but they’re focused hard on Parliament, and they keep breaking stories, because they are independent. They’re not right wing or left wing, that I can detect.

And I really like that they tweeted this out the other day:

Sweden: 70-Year-Old Woman Interrogated, Convicted for Anti-Muslim Facebook Post

Pensioner expressed concern about Islamic takeover

A 70-year-old woman in Sweden was interrogated by police and later convicted for an anti-Muslim Facebook post in which she expressed fear that Islam was taking over the country.

The post, made in May 2018 on the Facebook group Stand Up For Sweden, appeared as a comment underneath an article about violence towards women.

“Is this not Sweden or have we turned over the country to some Muslim damned vermin?,” the woman wrote.

The post was flagged by taxpayer funded hate speech watchdog group Näthats-inspector and the woman was subsequently interrogated by police in Hudiksvall.

She admitted that she could have framed the post better but asserted that she was merely upset after reading material about the mistreatment of women in Islamic countries.

“I am against the fact that they are bad to women. We have so many Muslims coming. I must have meant that they are battering women. I’m afraid of that,” she told police, adding that she had been “provoked” by news headlines about the issue.

The woman as later convicted and ordered to pay 40 daily fines of 120 kronor.

The judge in the case said that the Facebook post was more of an assertion than a question and therefore violated Sweden’s hate speech laws.

Similar laws that would officially make “Islamophobia” a racist hate crime are now being discussed in the United Kingdom.

Thought Police: British Cops Are Building AI Program That Will Stop Crimes That Haven’t Been Committed

A dystopian future awaits humanity if we cannot realize the dangers of programs such as the one the British police are working on. The cops want to create an artificial intelligence program the will somehow stop crimes before they’ve been committed, aka, the thought police.

Police in the United Kingdom are piloting a project that uses artificial intelligence to determine how likely someone is to commit or be a victim of a serious crime. These include crimes involving a gun or knife, as well as modern slavery, New Scientist reported on Monday. Ironically, the police creating the program don’t see government as modern slavery, yet that’s exactly what it is.

The West Midlands Police department is heading the trial project through the end of March 2019. They are expected to have a prototype at that time. There are eight other police departments reportedly involved as well, and the hope is to eventually expand its use to all police departments in the UK.

According to Gizmodo, the program is dubbed the National Data Analytics Solution (NDAS), the system pulls data from local and national police databases. Ian Donnelly, the police lead on the project, told New Scientist that they have collected over a terabyte of data from these systems already, including logs of committed crimes and about 5 million identifiable people.

“Mysterious Helicopters” Rescuing ISIS and Al-Qaeda — A Brief Timeline

Although the United States government routinely denies that it in any way cooperates with ISIS, reports continue to manifest themselves demonstrating exactly the opposite, particularly in Syria. Over the course of the war and ever since the emergence of the terrorist organization on the world scene, there have been a number of “mysterious helicopters” that extract ISIS fighters from battlefields in which they are facing imminent defeat either by the legitimate government of the countries in which they are fighting, pro-government militias, or even ahead of “anti-ISIS” strikes by the alleged “anti-ISIS coalition.”

While not attempting to go in to a detailed explanation or analysis of each incident, below are a number of reports of such “airlifts of evil” that have surfaced over the last two years. The Pentagon, as mentioned above, has repeatedly denied these reports.

Boycott Film ‘Kedarnath’ Promoting Love Jihad & Vilifying Hindu Tirth. Case Filed in Gujarat HC by Hindu Sena.

Petition filed in Gujarat High Court seeking ban on the film ‘Kedarnath’ for alleged propagation of Love Jihad in a backdrop of a Hindu Pilgrimage.

Amrita Srivastava | HENB | New Delhi | Nov 29, 2018:: After much ado, Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘Kedarnath’ starring Sushant Singh Rajput and debutant Sara Ali Khan is finally gearing up for the release on December 7. However, it seems the cast is no going have a smooth sail till their release as well.

According to reports, a right wing group on Wednesday moved to the Gujarat High Court seeking a ban on the release of ‘Kedarnath’ alleging that the movie promotes the concept of love-jihad. The report also stated that the petition has been filed by Vishwa Hindu Sena on Wednesday and is likely to be taken up for a hearing next week. The petitioner has also claimed that the film shows a kissing scene at Kedarnath, a religious site of Hindus, which is unacceptable and affects religious sentiments. Hindu Sena demanded re-sensor of the film to cut away the objectionable scenes.

Sara Ali Khan’s debut film Kedarnath, also starring Sushant Singh Rajput, first ran into serious trouble after a local organisation of priests at Kedarnath as well as senior BJP leader alleged that the film promoted love jihad and hurt religious sentiments of Hindus. In an interaction with Mumbai Mirror, Khan expressed her surprise regarding the controversy and said that the film has nothing to do with love jihad…

After a Hiatus, China Accelerates Cyberspying Efforts to Obtain U.S. Technology

WASHINGTON — Three years ago, President Barack Obama struck a deal with China that few thought was possible: President Xi Jinping agreed to end his nation’s yearslong practice of breaking into the computer systems of American companies, military contractors and government agencies to obtain designs, technology and corporate secrets, usually on behalf of China’s state-owned firms.

The pact was celebrated by the Obama administration as one of the first arms-control agreements for cyberspace — and for 18 months or so, the number of Chinese attacks plummeted. But the victory was fleeting.

Do Social Psychologists Have an Ideological Aversion to Evolutionary Psychology?

A new survey of beliefs held by social psychologists (335 mostly US-based members of the Society of Experimental Social Psychology) has confirmed previous reports that the field is overwhelmingly populated by researchers of a left-wing, liberal bent. What’s more, David Buss and William von Hippel — the evolutionary psychologists who conducted and analysed the survey — say their findings, published open-access in Archives of Scientific Psychology, suggest that some social psychologists may be opposed, for ideological reasons, to insights rooted in evolutionary psychology.

  1. “…the police…don’t see government as modern slavery, yet that’s exactly what it is.” This “JD” character’s habitual use of words like “exactly,” especially in reference to matters of great fluidity and nuance, may make his raving more credible to casual readers or those with limited perception, but I’m pretty sure most of us aren’t deceived that, in EXACT terms, government is slavery.

And again, “…reports continue to manifest themselves demonstrating exactly the opposite.” My first impulse was to point out that reports don’t usually demonstrate anything, but in this case they do. Pardon the humor, BB: you’ve engaged JD to demonstrate his ability to produce rational, cogent copy, but in his own words, his “…reports continue to manifest themselves demonstrating exactly the opposite.” 😉

These are but two examples of JD’s unvarying delinquency. Please, Baron, be clement to us, the partakers in the feast of information that is GoV. Take all of that cook’s spoiled, ill-flavored efforts off the table, and remove him from the kitchen posthaste.

    • Joe Jew, I’ve explained it to you before, but apparently you failed to pay attention: JD is NOT the author of what you quoted. He is simply the tipster who sent in an excerpt from the piece. He likes to read badly-written paranoia (in this case, from SHTFPlan), so that’s what he sends.

And I thank you very much for volunteering to send me good, reliable, well-written, accurate articles for the news feed! I certainly could use some. By doing so, you will guarantee that the quality of what you read will meet with your approval.

The thing about the news feed is that it is reader-generated. People send me things they like, and I glance at them to make sure they aren’t totally obnoxious (or, more fully, as each news feed says: “We check each entry to make sure it is relatively interesting, not patently offensive, and at least superficially plausible. The link to the original is included with each item’s title. Further research and verification are left to the reader.”).

I don’t have time to vet everything thoroughly to make sure that it’s something that I like, nor do I want to. The point of the news feed is that it contains what our READERS like. And if you don’t like something, the solution is easy: you don’t have to read it!

      • I find JD amusing, and he has valuable insights on things computerish. Keep him on. Your readers know how to take things cum grano salis!

  2. “Canada’s budget agency says that it costs the Canadian government $14,000 per annum for each migrant it takes in… ”

Really? I’d like to see those costings.

    • I think this number has been falsified by the gov’t.

Canada is far more expensive than $14K would imply.

As a Canadian with a family I would say the true amount, when you factor in ALL the expenses such as extra policing and all other legal costs, should be around say $30,000.

My brother receives a monthly disability support payment from the Ont. gov’t totalling about $13,000 CAD per year. This does NOT include all publicly funded services he has complete access to: health care, dental care, medications, education etc.
So, if all these services were to be accounted for I’m sure the total bill for the taxpayers would equal a minimum of $30,000 per year.

The monthly cash payment is not enough to pay for even a tiny apartment and decent food and clothes. He lives with us to make it easier for him to survive.

I know for a fact that immigrants generally have access to better housing and more money through the Immigration Board.

      • Looking at the article again, I notice that it states that the $14,000 CAD cost per migrant is the FEDERAL gov’t cost. All other costs are the responsibility of each Province. MOST of the costs involved with supporting immigrants is borne by the provinces so I would say the cost per immigrant to each province is at least as much.

The Federal gov’t continues to download many of its responsibilities and costs to the provinces. So it is easy for Justine Trudeau to promise the world to increasing numbers of immigrants; the federal costs are lower and easier to control as they involve items which tend to be set in price and not as variable such as provincial health care and policing. He then is able to look good to the electorate by selling the idea that increased immigration is quite affordable.

There is also a more nefarious side to this little charade: by placing more of the financial burden on the provincial governments, any budget cuts made by the provincial premiers make them look inhumane to the electorate. Social services being one of the first to receive the budgetary axe, particularly by Conservatives, causes cutbacks to immigrant services. The left wing and immigrant citizens then make a great clamour and the media jump on board to attack the Conservatives for their ‘inhumane’ treatment of the immigrants.

This puts pressure on the Conservative provincial governments to amend their cost cutting and tough stance on immigration to be more inline with Liberal goals. Conservatives then have a tougher job to stay in power at the next election.

Doug Ford, “Northern Trump’ and Conservative premiere of Ontario, has already waded into this fray with Trudeau and has made cuts and announced possible further cuts that will affect immigrant services in Ontario. Already the Federal Liberals have begun to use this against Ford to erode his popularity.

It is all a system to help topple each Conservative party of each province. The goal being of course to have a completely Liberal and UN immigration pact nation from sea to immigrant filled dinghy sea.

    • Ho, I was just having a little fun at Canadians’ expense — a popular American pastime.

The late Shel Silverstein wrote a song in which he talked about a bad little boy who would be “sent to hell or jail or Canada”.

      • Well, as a Canadian, I have to say that hell is warmer and jail offers plenty of good free food and free college education.

        It’s a difficult choice.

  5. And what kind of strange films are now being shot in the West?
In the Russian rental out just now.
And this is what is written in the review:
The film “Robin Hood”, released on screens in Russia and the world, is such an unbridled sample of anti-Christian, anti-European terrorist propaganda that only one reasonable explanation for its appearance comes to mind: ISIL (the very terrorist organization prohibited in Russia), apparently began to fund the filming of films in Hollywood with money derived from the sale of oil, slaves, and monuments of ancient art stolen from museums.

    https://360tv.ru/news/tekst/robin-bed-on-streljaet-po-ikonam-i-otnimaet-dengi-u-hristian-v-polzu-islamistov/?fbclid=IwAR3A9lw2gD57bjWMg5RU7uaMHAt9A8Wyk41Ef8SaHYfiY5N2FEKFkti7zGE

    • The good news is that almost everybody seems to hate this silly movie which cost $100 million dollars to make, and which only grossed $25 million world wide. That should teach them making stupid movies….. We need another Robin Hood movie like we need a hole in the head.

If you want to see a good one, watch Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. It’s worth watching just to see the superb Alan Rickman in the role of the evil sheriff of Nottingham. Very entertaining!

      • Indeed; it’s rumoured that Kevin Costner (Robin) had the (sadly late) Rickman’s scenes cut. Even in 1991, this film was infected by pc in the form of Robin’s muslim friend, played by Morgan Freeman.

        Still a great film though!

        • There will never ever be anyone even close to the glorious Alan Rickman. I found him spell binding. If it wasn’t for him, the movie would have just been average. Incidentally, I wondered what the heck Morgan Freeman was doing in this movie… I like him, he’s a very good actor, but why stick him into a movie where he didn’t belong.
