Unemployment Rate Drops to 3.7%, Lowest in Nearly Half a Century

The unemployment rate dropped to a half-century low in September, the Labor Department reported Friday. However, there was an increase in the number of people working part-time who want full-time work.

The unemployment rate is now at 3.7 percent, the lowest rate since December 1969, when the jobless rate was 3.5 percent. That’s despite September hiring being slower than expected. “The fall in the unemployment rate is largely due to the ‘right’ reasons: people finding work (i.e. not because people gave up looking),” wrote Elise Gould, senior economist at the Economic Policy Institute.

Deputies Were Serving a Warrant for Sexual Assault of a Child When They Were Ambushed

Florence, South Carolina (CNN) Deputies were executing a search warrant in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a foster child when a gunman opened fire on them Wednesday in Florence, South Carolina, according to a source with knowledge of the investigation.

The ensuing two-hour standoff left one officer dead and six others wounded.

It was not immediately clear whom the search warrant was for, and the source did not provide additional details about it.

The shooting suspect surrendered Wednesday evening after talking with a negotiator, Chief Deputy Glenn Kirby of the Florence County Sheriff’s Office told CNN affiliate WBTW. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The suspect is 74-year-old Fred Hopkins, another source with knowledge of the investigation told CNN…

Shortly after the one-year anniversary of the mass shooting that targeted an outdoor concert on the Las Vegas Strip, a pro-ISIS media group is circulating an online poster warning of knife attacks at musical events.

Previous releases from Remah Media Production included a January poster showing a jihadist standing in front of a cityscape vowing to “sink America” and another showing jihadists standing in front of a nondescript legislative building vowing that “soon you will taste agony.” The group has also released video nasheeds, or songs to inspire terrorists.

Mob Rule Comes to America

While mob rule and street justice have been evident throughout the Third World, we in America prided ourselves on a judicial system of law and order. We were a country of laws and not of men. As multiculturalism within the last few decades became a celebrated ideology, a demographic shift caused by third-world immigrants and aliens began to uproot our cultural heritage rooted in Western civilization. Saul Alinsky’s Marxist playbook encouraged the left to take to the streets in the name of social justice, and suddenly, the left had new arrivals whose political framework was derived and shaped in countries without the rule of law.

For the last few decades, we have witnessed them taking to the streets to demand equality and racial and social justice throughout cities such as Los Angeles, New York, and Baltimore along with violent rallies at Berkeley and dozens of college campuses. Since the election of President Trump, whom they view as illegitimate, they have united together under what they term “The Resistance” to destroy not only the president, but his agenda and all who support him. Whether it be immigration, executive orders, foreign policy, our economy, or judicial nominations, they block his every move to prevent him from governing.

For the first time in history, we have a populace who will not abide by the results of our election process, and its effort to obstruct and destroy is damaging the fabric of our society and the foundation on which this country rests. We have a lawful process in place to address the will of the people, and currently we see the Democrats destroying the institutions we have relied on since our founding to carry out the will of the people. Whether it is the unlawful plots at the FBI and the Justice Department to frame an innocent President Trump, the weaponization of the IRS to silence conservatives, or the theater of the absurd at the confirmation hearings for Judge Kavanaugh, the left’s dirty tactics are now a threat to our liberty and democracy. There is not an institution that has not been impacted. Many of us are asking what institutions we can still trust and rely on…

It is not enough to denounce the thugs. George Soros, the billionaire funding the assaults and attacks, must be brought to justice for not only inciting violence, not to mention investigated for sedition, a crime we need to begin to take seriously. He and his minions are obstructing the agenda we voted on and one we won. It is imperative that Republicans in office begin to use the term “sedition” in public.

The Mainstream Media Fraud

The conjoined Democratic Party and mainstream media’s despicable character assassination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh combined with the two-year single-minded determination to destroy the Trump presidency by any means possible has irretrievably awakened a preponderance of the citizenry. In a recent poll, 70% of all Americans and 90% of Republicans have lost faith in the self-styled mainstream media. They are imploding due to the self-inflicted destruction of their credibility and integrity, which has exposed the fraud this cabal has carried out over the past 85 years. The damage done to this nation and its citizenry is incalculable.

There have many frauds perpetrated on the American people. Perhaps the most notable, and consequential, was the media persuading an overwhelming majority of citizens that journalism is not only a noble profession, but one that always strived to be fair and balanced. Journalism, in this or any nation, has never been fair and balanced. Nor has it been afforded the exalted status of a profession, as the definition of a profession is an occupation that involves prolonged training and formal qualifications. Journalism encompasses neither.

The Tantrums of Senate Democrats Will Never End But Soon No One Will be Listening

The Democrats in the Senate have shown themselves through this Kavanaugh witch hunt to care zero about due process of law and commitment to any kind of truth. We were forced again and again to listen to the sanctimonious lies and arrogance of Democrat after Democrat assaulting Judge Kavanaugh and America. I watched the whole thing and nearly tossed my cookies several times. I was especially inspired by Democrat Senator Blumenthal (D— Conn) who lectured Kavanaugh about how telling one lie means all you say is a lie, using fancy language from on high. The only problem with that is that Blumenthal is a serial liar himself. During a huge chunk of his political career, he talked of his brave military service in Vietnam, storming up hills in fire fights, which never happened. He didn’t go to Vietnam, but who cares about that small little detail.

Then there is Senator Feinstein who held back the letter from Dr. Ford for two months, instead of having the Senate do their duty and investigate whether the accusation had any merit or not. She never cared about merit or whether Dr. Ford was telling the truth. She only saw a plan to smear and stall the Trump nomination until after midterm elections.

Van Dyke Taken Into Custody After Jury Convicts Him of 2nd-Degree Murder, Aggravated Battery for Each of 16 Shots

Minutes after being convicted of murder, Chicago police Officer Jason Van Dykerose in the packed Cook County courtroom to be taken into custody. He had already said his goodbyes to his wife and family.

Looking fatigued but calm, the veteran patrol officer put his hands behind his back as his attorney, Daniel Herbert, clapped him on the back of his shoulder. As sheriff’s deputies escorted Van Dyke out of the courtroom, Herbert flashed him a thumbs-up.

With that, one of the most closely watched trials in Chicago’s history came to an abrupt conclusion.

A jury Friday convicted Van Dyke of second-degree murder and 16 counts of aggravated battery with a firearm in the death of 17-year-old Laquan McDonald, marking a stunning end to a racially tinged case that roiled the city when the now-infamous police dashboard camera video of the shooting was released three years ago by court order.

EU Declares Intention to End “National Sovereignty, “ “Kill Off Populist Politics”

[…]

The European Union (EU) must bring an end to national sovereignty over finance with the creation of a “eurozone budget” in order to kill off populist politics within the euro region, according to the Commission.

Economic affairs chief of the EU’s unelected executive arm, Pierre Moscovici, said that “more progress in European integration” is required to head off populism, which he described as “a major threat for our democracies, for liberal democracies, for the rule of law and for European values”.

“Having a eurozone budget is absolutely decisive if we want to address the populist challenge, the burning question of inequalities,” he told an interview with Euractiv.

Speaking after a talk at New York’s European American Chamber of Commerce, Moscovici said: “The European crisis is no more an economic crisis. It is an inequality crisis. It is a political crisis. It is a crisis of delivery. We need to deliver more. That is what eurozone reform is about. It is not technical. It is highly political.”

UK: Terrifying Moment Stranger Tries to Murder 91-Year-Old Former Eurotunnel Boss by Shoving Him Onto London Tube Tracks — After Failing to Push an Earlier Victim in Front of Approaching Train

Shocking CCTV shows the moment a former Eurotunnel boss was shoved onto the tracks of the London Underground seconds before a train hurtles into the station.

Sir Robert Malpas, 91, said he felt himself ‘flying’ on to the rails from the platform at Marble Arch after Paul Crossley, 46, shoved him from behind with both hands.

Crossley, who was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia when he was 17, was today found guilty of attempted murder and as the footage was played in the Old Bailey for the first time it drew gasps from the public gallery.

Sir Robert, who was knighted by the Queen in 1998 was Crossley’s second victim, after he earlier attempted to push another victim in front of a train at Tottenham Court Road…

Hero passer-by Riyad El Hussani, leapt from the platform to save Sir Robert as he lay sprawled on the racks as the electronic arrivals board showed just one minute until the next train.

‘I was scared that when I was on the tracks I could have been electrocuted and also could have then been hit by a train.’

Mr El Hussani suffered burns to his right hand after touching the electrified rail…

The judge said: ‘Mr El Hussani showed extraordinary bravery with a complete disregard for his own safety in saving Sir Robert and he is obviously to be commended for that.’

The same church was the theater of Islamic protests in the mid-June and July. During this period, the presence of this tiny church of 900 square feet provoked Islamists to harass Copts and uproot their agriculture. No authorities intervened to arrest the aggressors.

The Importance of Delivery of S300 Air Defence Systems Explained

The accidental downing of a Russian military plane by the Syrian air defence system is no longer accidental because of the fact the Russian authorities believe that the incident occurred due to the activity of a third party, Israel.

The incident itself notwithstanding, the developments following it have also confirmed how Russia sees this incident as a spoiler activity, aimed at inciting military confrontation, not with the Russians necessarily, but with the Syrians, or may be its purpose was just to frighten the Iranians and the Hezbollah…

The purpose of this deployment has not been diplomatically couched as just modernization of Syrian defence. As the Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said without mincing words, “We are convinced that these measures will cool down the ‘hot heads’ and keep them from ill-conceived actions threatening our troops.”

The reaction from the US and Israel to this supply has equally shown that the US-Israel nexus, although they understand that the ground situation has dramatically changed, knows the danger involved in launching strikes at this stage. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Putin in a telephone call that supplying advanced weapon systems to “irresponsible hands will increase the dangers in the region,” and John Bolton advised Russia to reconsider the decision, saying the new missile system would be a “significant escalation” to already high tensions in the region.

China Dominates Rare Earth Minerals Supply to Sabotage US Military, According to Upcoming Pentagon Study

A forthcoming Pentagon study will focus on how China has sought to monopolize access to certain natural resources critical to the U.S. military in an effort to undermine U.S. defense.

The study, ordered by President Donald Trump, is expected to be released in the coming weeks and seeks to identify areas where the U.S. military has over-relied on foreign suppliers.

Reuters, citing anonymous U.S. officials, reported on Oct. 2 that the study will emphasize how China has become the main supplier of many rare earth minerals used by the United States. Such reliance on China could be a national security risk, as Pentagon officials worry that China could hobble the U.S. military by cutting off supplies of materials or by sabotaging technology that it exports.

Rare earth minerals are used in magnets, missile systems, and consumer electronics.

Unidentified officials from Taiwan’s National Security Bureau said that Beijing’s “united front” work has infiltrated schools at all levels, targeting students, teachers, and school headmasters, according to an Oct. 4 report by Taiwanese newspaper the Liberty Times.

In an attempt to influence Taiwanese politics and society, Beijing has for a long time resorted to subversion campaigns carried out by the United Front Work Department of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), as well as other Party agencies, to persuade organizations or individuals to spread the Party’s propaganda.

China’s “united front” efforts date to the 1920s, according to Russell Hsiao, executive director of the U.S.-based think tank Global Taiwan Initiative, in testimony before the U.S.—China Economic and Security Review Commission (USCC) in April. Beijing has directed such tactics against Taiwan, since the island nation transitioned to a democratic system from a dictatorship under martial law

The Big Hack: How China Used a Tiny Chip to Infiltrate U.S. Companies

[…]

Nested on the servers’ motherboards, the testers found a tiny microchip, not much bigger than a grain of rice, that wasn’t part of the boards’ original design. Amazon reported the discovery to U.S. authorities, sending a shudder through the intelligence community. Elemental’s servers could be found in Department of Defense data centers, the CIA’s drone operations, and the onboard networks of Navy warships. And Elemental was just one of hundreds of Supermicro customers. …

When in 2016 the Chinese government was about to pass a new cybersecurity law—seen by many outside the country as a pretext to give authorities wider access to sensitive data—Amazon decided to act, the person familiar with the company’s probe says. In August it transferred operational control of its Beijing data center to its local partner, Beijing Sinnet, a move the companies said was needed to comply with the incoming law. The following November, Amazon sold the entire infrastructure to Beijing Sinnet for about $300 million. The person familiar with Amazon’s probe casts the sale as a choice to “hack off the diseased limb.”

Vietnamese Community Has Warning About Communist China

The Melbourne Vietnamese community held a rally in Federation Square on Sept. 30 to protest against the invasion of Vietnam by the Chinese Communist Party through its “One Belt, One Road” project. …

In June, the Vietnamese Communist government drafted a bill to create three SEZs in northern, central, and southern Vietnam, and Phu Quoc Island, which will allow foreign investors to lease land in these areas for up to 99 years.

According to the Central News Agency, the draft triggered the Vietnamese people to question whether their government was “selling land and country to China.” Large-scale protests broke out in several cities across Vietnam. …

Former head of China analysis at Australia’s Defense Intelligence Organisation, Paul Monk, said that he is deeply alarmed by the CCP’s systematic program of subversion and censorship in Australia.

“I would have thought, given the clear nature of that regime, that we in Australia should collectively be saying, ‘We do want trade with China, we do want to see China continue to prosper, but we don’t accept that its way of governing China is in any way attractive or appropriate,’“ Monk said.

Self-Described ‘Islamic Bonnie and Clyde’ Guilty of Plot to Attack ‘Non-Believers’

A couple who described themselves as an “Islamic Bonnie and Clyde” have been found guilty in an Australian court of planning a New Year’s Eve terrorist stabbing attack on non-Muslims.

Sameh Bayda and Alo-Bridget Namoa, both 21, were charged last year with the offences, which prosecutors allege had been plotted in late 2015 to early 2016.

They had already been in custody accused of collecting documents likely to facilitate terrorist acts and denied conspiring to do an act in preparation for a terrorist act.

But after more than three days of deliberations, a NSW Supreme Court jury on Friday found them guilty of the plot. Police evidence showed it involved detonating an improvised device, an incendiary device or using a bladed weapon.

Italian Populists to Draft ‘Difficult’ Italian Citizenship Test

The populist anti-mass migration League party has proposed creating a “difficult” citizenship test for prospective Italian citizens so that migrants can demonstrate their integration into society along with Italian language proficiency.

The test would be the latest in a long battle against the concept of Jus Soli, or birthright citizenship, which the party has long opposed. The new values exam would also make it harder to gain citizenship and qualify for the proposed basic income programme that has been a major pillar of policy of the League’s coalition partner, the Five Star Movement, Il Giornale reports.

Italy: ‘Extradition of at Least 9 People Possible’ With New Treaty

Under new judicial assistance rules between Italy-UAE

(ANSA) — Rome, October 3 — Italy will be able to ask for the extradition of “at least nine people wanted by the Italian judiciary” on charges including mafia association, drug trafficking, money laundering and tax fraud under a new judicial assistance treaty between Rome and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) approved by the Senate on Wednesday, one of the treaty’s promoters said.

Davide Mattiello, a former MP with the Democratic Left party who sponsored the treaty during the previous legislature as a member of the Lower House’s justice and anti-Mafia commissions said fugitives wanted by Italy who are currently in Dubai and Abu Dhabi include businessman Amedeo Matacena, a former lawmaker for Silvio Berlusconi’s Forza Italia party, who has been convicted on charges of external mafia association.

Gianfranco Tulliani, brother-in-law of former rightwing leader Gianfanco Fini, is also wanted on money laundering charges.

“Starting today, Italy will be able to officially ask for their extradition”, said Mattiello.

Migrant Arrivals on Greek Islands Up by 50%, Says Vitsas

Migrant arrivals on Greece’s Aegean islands are up by 50 percent compared to last year, Migration Minister Dimitris Vitsas said in Parliament Friday describing conditions on Lesvos and Samos islands as “critical.”

Responding to a question by independent lawmaker Haris Theocharis about conditions on the islands, particularly at the notorious Moria hotspot on Lesvos, Vitsas blamed the situation on increased refugee flows as well as the closure of borders in the Balkan route.

Vitsas added that 3,300 asylum-seekers crossed into Greece through the Evros border in 2016, whereas the number climbed to 5,500 in 2017 and to 12,000 so far in 2018.

Italy: Verona Council OKs Motion Against Abortion

Verona ‘pro-life city’ vote sparks storm

(ANSA) — Verona, October 5 — Verona city council on Thursday night approved a rightwing League motion declaring Verona “a pro-life city” and funding Catholic anti-abortion groups, sparking a storm of reaction.

During the vote, the women’s group Non Una Di Meno (Not One Woman Less) protested wearing dresses from the TV adpatation of Margaret Atwood’s dystopian novel The Handmaid’s Tale. Verona MP Alessia Rotta of the centre-left opposition Democratic Party (PD) said “in the night Verona and its women citizens were hit by an unacceptable slap in the face”.

She said “the vote took us back to years when women died of widespread backstreet abortions”.

PD deputy chair Barbara Pollastrini said the vote “represents a symbolic and grave step backwards with respect to a serious and important law like the 194 (abortion law of 1975)”. She urged the PD council leader, who voted with the League, to apologise for supporting the motion.

The caucus leader Carla Padovani, who has courted controversy with ultra-Catholic views and demanded to be removed from a video of Verona’s first gay civil union, was unapologetic saying “life is a universal value and not one of a party”.

“I voted my conscience,” she said.

Padovani said “I don’t think the PD has a clear line on the 194 law. I didn’t expect all this controversy”.

PD bigwig and Lazio Governor Nicola Zingaretti said “you don’t respect life if you don’t respect the choices of women, especially when they are difficult like an abortion.

“Italy has a serious law, the 194, which must be applied”.

Zingaretti said the Verona vote “is not on. You can’t proceed with ideological coups de main on such delicate issues”.

Monica Cirinnà, sponsor of last year’s civil unions legislation, said “I’m disgusted” and, referring to the PD caucus leader’s vote, added: “The PD must be leftwing”.

PD leader Maurizio Martina said “hands off the 194, there can be no ambiguity…no return to the Middle Ages”.

The anti-migrant Euroskeptic League is in government with the anti-establishment 5-Star Movement (M5S).

The League’s family minister, Lorenzo Fontana, is pro-life.

Robert Spencer Exposes Islam’s Problematic History

Robert Spencer’s extraordinary new book, The History of Jihad: From Muhammad to ISIS (Bombardier Books), tells the little-known yet crucially important story of the victimization of Christians, Jews, Hindus and other non-Muslims in jihadist warfare for 14 centuries. The History of Jihad goes right up to the present day, and is a new and important confirmation of George Santayana’s famous dictum: “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” …

Spencer tells this account primarily in the words of eyewitnesses and contemporary historians, which gives this book a particular vividness. The History of Jihad is no dry exposition of names and dates and forgotten incidents drawn out of dusty books. On the contrary, it is a virtual tour of the battlefield, highlighting the heroism and courage of those who tried through the centuries to resist the jihad, the bloodlust of the jihadis, and the cravenness of the non-Muslims who compromised with the jihadis and enabled their advance throughout history for their own short-sighted ends. Parallels can be observed in the modern era which the author himself has experienced in his courageous resistance to the jihad, while confronting attacks by agents of the jihad and their non-Muslim collaborators.

  1. “British Residents Told to Release Detained Burglars as Not Enough Police: The lack of officers leading to some Birmingham residents, having detained burglars in their homes, being advised to release them as no officers were available to attend.”

I recommend to everybody to watch UK Column News: https://www.ukcolumn.org/

They seem to be spot on about the British security services: Their line of reasoning is that from police to the Navy, all British security services are being sabotaged in order to make it impossible to function without outside help from the EU. All this is being done on purpose, like having Aircraft Carriers but no support fleet, while France does have the support fleet but no Aircraft Carriers, and so on…

  2. “Dog Saves German Woman From Being Raped by Two Foreign Men”

Can a dog become German Chancellor? The dog sounds infinitely more qualified than the current occupant of the post, at this point.

  3. Hero passer-by Riyad El Hussani, leapt from the platform to save Sir Robert as he lay sprawled on the racks as the electronic arrivals board showed just one minute until the next train.

Lovely, a man-bites-dog story. Yes, these too should be reported, even though they are rarer than hens teeth.

  4. The Marxist Kulturkampf continues from attacks on Hungary, Poland and Italy, to violent protests against Judge Kavanaugh, similar to earlier attacks on fellow Catholics, Judge Bork and Justice Thomas. Muslim migrants are useful pawns to the EU Marxists while Asians/Africans pour into North America to destroy the heritage of the US and Canada.

Donald “The Hammer” Trump is doing his best but PM May’s government seems to have been co-conspirators in keeping him out of office and in removing him from office over faked fears about Christian Russia, orchestrated by ms Hillary. If the EU breaks up, there’s hope. Of course, Western Woman is the sterile cuckoo driving the Marxist vector as she refuses to produce a replacement population. Vacuums get filled, ladies, even if dusty wombs aren’t.

  5. “A man protecting his 21-year-old daughter against a bottom groping African will be charged with causing bodily harm.

This is the way the elites and their State authorities will respond to any citizen who attempts to stop out of control migrants committing offenses. They will prosecute the citizen and not the migrant. The aim is to cower the population to be passive bystanders who won’t take any physical action to resist criminal behaviour.
It is of course an outrage the father was charged, most fair minded people would think he deserved a Police Commendation.
