Dollar Crash Imminent: China and Japan Dump U.S. Treasuries
The two main holders of United States Treasuries, the countries of China and Japan, have dumped the dollar. Both nations have dramatically cut their ownership of notes and bonds in August, according to the latest figures from the US Treasury Department, released on Tuesday.
It appears that a dollar crash could be imminent, as no one wants to buy American debt anymore. Earlier this week, Goldman Sachs said that the United States’ policy of sanctions and tariffs against major economies, including Russia, China, and Iran, have dragged down the dollar’s share of global central-bank reserves. Meanwhile, the data from the International Monetary Fund confirms that the US dollar’s share in the global central-bank reserves dropped to 62.3 percent from April to June. Meanwhile, holdings in the euro, yen, and yuan gained as a share of allocated reserves.

Could it be possible that the Federal Reserve is attempting to influence the outcome of the upcoming midterm elections? Just weeks before Americans will go to the polls, the Fed has been making headline after headline with talk about interest rate hikes. And they very well understand that interest rate hikes will rattle investors and slow down the economy. In fact, every Fed rate hiking cycle since 1957 has ended in either a stock market crash or a recession. So could the Federal Reserve be doing this on purpose in order to sabotage Donald Trump and the Republicans? Nobody is really asking this question, but perhaps we should be.

Sears Didn’t ‘Die.’ Vulture Capitalists Killed it.
Sears is a prime example of how hedge funds and private equity companies take over retailers and gradually bleed them dry for their own benefit.

If you’ve been following the impending bankruptcy of America’s iconic retailer as covered by print, broadcast and digital media, you’ve probably encountered lots of nostalgia and sad clucking about how dinosaurs like Sears can’t compete in the age of Amazon and specialty retail.
But most of the coverage has failed to stress the deeper story. Namely, Sears is a prime example of how hedge funds and private equity companies take over retailers, encumber them with debt in order to pay themselves massive windfall profits, and then leave the retailer without adequate operating capital to compete.
Part of the strategy is to sell off valuable real estate, the better to enrich the hedge fund, and stick the retail company with costly rental payments to occupy the space that it once owned.
In the case of Sears, the culprit is a hedge-fund operator named Edward Lampert, once a senior merger guy at Goldman Sachs. In 2005, Lampert merged Sears with Kmart, loaded both up with debt, and used some of the debt on stock buybacks to pump up the share price and enrich shareholders, notably himself and his hedge fund.
In a decade, 175,000 people at Sears/Kmart lost their jobs and revenue was cut in half. Various pieces of Sears were sold off. Lampert did just fine.
Lampert’s hedge fund also became a prime a lender to Sears, making money off of commissions and interest charges as well as being a prime shareholder. The strategy ensures that the fund and its beneficiaries (including Lampert himself) get rich, even if they run Sears into the ground. For the most part, the nostalgia coverage of the demise of Sears has missed this…

US Weekly Jobless Claims Fall, While Continuing Claims Drop to the Lowest Level Since 1973
New applications for U.S. unemployment benefits dropped last week and the number of Americans on jobless rolls fell back to levels last seen in 1973.
The data suggested a further tightening in labor market conditions.
Initial claims for state unemployment benefits decreased 5,000 to 210,000 for the week ended Oct. 13, the Labor Department said.

21st Century Civil War in America
When most people think of an American Civil War, they automatically visualize the Civil War that occurred between 1861 and 1865. It was a horrendous conflict that pitted brother against brother over differing political causes. Thanksgiving dinner then was just as argumentative as it is today, as those who believed in slavery tried to convince those who opposed it that blacks were better off enslaved.
Today’s Thanksgiving table has the same type of arguments arising between those who believe in global government enslaving everyone who is not among the elite, and those of us who believe that America should come first over global needs. It is the hardening of each different cause that has caused so much death and destruction in the past, and is in its beginning phase today.
The Civil War comes to our minds because of the acrimony it caused between citizens who should have not been fighting against each other; rather trying to agree on making the acrimony less personal. It is the same position we find ourselves in today.
It was that personal acrimony that led to killing each other in the 19th Century. It didn’t start after President Lincoln was elected; it started a few years earlier when each side’s stance on the issues hardened to the point that some thought that killing became the only way to solve political differences. Today’s Antifa and Black Lives Matter hold the exact belief system and have no qualms about killing their opposition.
The Civil War started in Bloody Kansas and the farms and cities of Missouri. It led some zealots, like John Brown, to attack the arsenal at Harpers Ferry in Virginia. Pro-slave and pro-abolition forces collided with each other when political leadership in Washington D.C., was unable to compromise any longer. Southern Democrat politicians simply walked out of Congress, unwilling to even discuss the issues any longer.
We hear Democrat Politicians today saying the same, that there is no reason to even talk with Republicans as long as they are in power. It is their way, or the highway to them. The Justice Kavanaugh melee is an example of today’s Democrats and what to look forward to if they regain power in either house of Congress. They feel that any lie, dishonesty, fraud or crime is justified in order for them to regain power. The ends justify the means, no matter what the outcome or cost.
The political divide is so deep today that violence is the only answer to Democrats, whose power was lost to them because they abandoned their base of voters in favor of illegal immigrants, sending jobs overseas into the global mix, and thinking that those in the unemployment lines would not notice nor care.
That level of hardness of cause between the two sides in the 1860’s left no room for compromise. The only thing left, was to start the shooting along slave-states and non-slave states borders. The election of Abraham Lincoln was only an excuse. The majority of citizens of the south did not recognize the legitimacy of Lincoln as their President…he was the first time Democrats shouted ‘not my President.’
It is proof that government cannot exist without the consent of those governed. If in November, Republicans keep control of both houses of government, it will not end the acrimony nor the resistance to this government. The only thing that is going to end the problems we face with the resistance movement, both within and without the government, is by enforcing the laws of this land and maintaining strict adherence to the Constitution.
Those within the resistance movement do not want the Constitution to survive, it is their goal to undo what our founding fathers created for us in the first place…

Anti-Trump Protester Caught on Video Threatening Female Conservative…

Conservative activist Kaitlin Bennett, attended the Trump rally in Pennsylvania. While she was there, she ran into some anti-Trump protesters, who weren’t just mean-spirited people, they were downright evil. While interviewing some of the anti-Trumpers, a member of the Democrat mob threatened to throw her down and rape her, saying it was his “right”.
Almost equally stunning, the women who were close by said that he never said he would rape her. When one of the women started to walk away after claiming her fellow anti-Trump protester never said he’d rape her, Bennett called after her, saying “You’re supposed to believe women. Why aren’t you believing me? You’re a woman. I’m a woman. Believe me!”
Later in the video, the man who said he’d throw her down and rape her, came over to say he realized he “shouldn’t have said that” and then, started coming closer to her, telling her,”You’re not gonna put this on tape”. To her credit, Bennett laughed at him and told him that she would be putting it on tape.

Democrats are 21st Century Bolsheviks. That is what they are, nothing more, nothing less. Consider: Pennsylvania Democrat Senate candidate Bob Casey launched a campaign ad showing twin children with cancer, claiming his GOP opponent, Rep. Lou Baretta, would cause the death of such children by denying insurance for preexisting conditions. If that were true, wouldn’t you want to see Rep. Barletta behind bars? It puts him on par with pedophiles — or worse.
Baretta responded to Casey’s ad with an emotional video on Twitter, noting that his own toddler grandson, a twin, was suffering with cancer. “Bob Casey knew my 18-month-old grandson, who is a twin, has cancer. I told him and his wife a month ago… to say that I would deny my own grandson healthcare might be the lowest thing I have ever experienced in my political career…”

Family Discovers ‘Perfectly Cut’ Hole in Toddler’s Bedroom Window
An Imperial Beach, California, family discovered a clean hole cut through their toddler’s window earlier this week.
Homeowner Vanya said that he and his wife were on their way back from seeing a movie when they received a panicked call from their daughter. When they arrived at their Emory Street home, they found a disturbing sight: A near-perfect circle was cut from the glass of the nursery window, and the window’s latch was broken.
“Our daughter, who had felt a draft in the house … went around and found a perfectly-cut hole in our son’s nursery,” Vanya said. “This isn’t something really random. This is something calculated. There’s something especially chilling about this, I think.”

Former FBI Agent Sentenced for Leaking Classified Information
Terry J. Albury, 39, a former Special Agent of the FBI, was sentenced today to 48 months in the District of Minnesota in connection with his unauthorized disclosure and retention of classified national defense information.
The announcement was made by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, FBI Director Chris Wray, Assistant Director in Charge of the Washington Field Office Nancy McNamara, and U.S. Attorney G. Zachary Terwilliger for the Eastern District of Virginia, after sentencing by U.S. District Judge Wilhelmina M. Wright.

Lawsuit Alleges Facebook Inflated Video View Statistics to Fool Advertisers
A lawsuit reported on by the Wall Street Journal alleges that Facebook was aware of issues on how the site measured views of video ads for more than a year before it disclosed the issue in 2016. A group of advertisers brought a lawsuit against the social media firm in 2016 for failing to disclose the error earlier, accusing Facebook of engaging in unfair business practices by publishing inaccurate metrics that overestimated how long users spent watching ads and ultimately misled advertisers.
Later, the group of advertisers added a claim of fraud, and in a filing on Tuesday they have now alleged that Facebook knew of the advertising metric bug as early as January 2015 and determined the nature of the miscalculation within months, but failed to disclose this information to advertisers for over a year. The latest filing came shortly after the advertiser’s review of 80,000 pages of internal Facebook records.
“Facebook’s internal efforts behind the scenes reflect a company mentality of reckless indifference toward the accuracy of its metrics,” the advertisers said in Tuesday’s filing. Facebook responded in a statement saying: “Suggestions that we in any way tried to hide this issue from our partners are false. We told our customers about the error when we discovered it — and updated our help center to explain the issue.”

Multiple Users Report YouTube Auto-Censoring Live Stream Chats
Last night for about an hour, YouTube went dark. The popular video and streaming site came back up, but a number of users quickly discovered the platform run by Google released a brand new auto-censor for live streams.

Parents Sue Library Group Over Graphic Online Porn in Schools
A group of Colorado parents has sued a state library group for allegedly allowing the distribution of pornography to school children. The parents claim that the Colorado Library Consortium is facilitating the access of unfiltered online pornography through the library group’s relationship with EBSCO, a nationwide corporation that provides educational databases to schools. EBSCO is also named in the lawsuit, filed on behalf of the parents by the Thomas More Society, a faith-based legal advocacy group.
The parents’ group, calling itself Pornography is Not Education, says that the EBSCO databases used by the library consortium “contain erotic and BDSM (bondage, discipline, sadomasochism) stories that could be located through innocent searches by kids and their parents,” reported the Denver Post.
One of the parents, Drew Paterson, recalled that the problem came to light nearly two years ago when his wife stumbled onto graphic pornography linked to their daughter’s online school account in the local Cherry Creek School District. “She calls to me, ‘You need to come here right now and see if I’m seeing what I think I’m seeing’“ Paterson told the Denver Post. “It was just appalling. And the thought our middle school daughter could be exposed to that was just appalling.”
Matt Heffron, senior counsel for the Thomas More Society, said that the suit his group has filed on behalf of the parents group “is about two things: protecting children and calling out corporate deceit.” Explained Heffron: “EBSCO gets schools to purchase databases by falsely promising the databases are age-appropriate and specifically tailored for elementary, middle, and high school children.”
While EBSCO and the library consortium insist that the databases are safe, the parents charge that they are actually riddled with graphic pornography that is easily accessible to children. Furthermore, the lawsuit charges, both EBSCO and the Colorado Library Consortium are aware of the problem.
“This is not the Internet, as some school officials have falsely stated,” said Heffron. Instead, he charged, EBSCO controls and limits the content of its databases marketed to schools, and the databases are only accessed initially through the Internet. “That control of the databases is why parents can expect the databases to be safe for their children at school,” he said. “They should not be infested with adult sexual fantasies.”

Nellie Ohr, the wife of high-ranking DOJ official Bruce Ohr, was hired by Fusion GPS to work on the dossier on Trump.
I call Nellie Ohr “the woman in the middle.” Holding a doctorate in Soviet history, Ohr worked for Glenn Simpson’s Fusion GPS as it was creating what is known as the “Steele dossier” of uncorroborated allegations of Trump-Russia collusion. She is married to Bruce Ohr, a senior Justice Department official whose involvement in the “dossier” affair—including contacts with the dossier’s eponym, Christopher Steele, a retired British intelligence agent—led to his 2017 demotion. Nellie Ohr is expected to appear for the first time before the House Judiciary Committee on Oct. 19.
So many lines of inquiry present themselves—where to begin? Here is a list of questions I have thought of asking Nellie Ohr.
1) Mrs. Ohr, I’d like to start by asking you a question about your field of academic expertise, the Stalin era.
While a professor teaching Soviet/Russian studies at Vassar, you wrote: “To introduce students to the Stalin era can be a frustrating task. To convey the terror and excitement of the period, one can assign a memoir of a prison camp victim or an observer such as John Scott or Maurice Hindus. Such accounts, however, fail to explain the excesses of the Stalin era, and whether, in Alec Nove’s words, Stalin was necessary …”
Most people have a good idea about “the terror” of the Stalin era. What it is that you mean by “excitement”? What is the argument that suggests Stalin was “necessary”? Do you agree?
2) Before you started teaching at Vassar in the 1990s, you went to study in what was still the Soviet Union to research your Ph.D. thesis on the “stabilization” of Stalin’s collective farms. Restaurant Owner Called a ‘Nazi Sympathizer, ‘ Life Threatened for Renting Room to Marsha Blackburn
A Tennessee restaurant owner became the target of a liberal hate mob after renting out a room at his establishment to Republican Senate candidate Marsha Blackburn over the weekend.

Courtney’s Restaurant and Catering owner Tom Courtney said he’s experienced a strong social media backlash because he rented the event room at his Mt. Juliet business to U.S. Senate candidate Rep. Marsha Blackburn on Saturday.
Courtney said he’s been called a Nazi, an abuser, had his life threatened and said his staff has been verbally attacked.
Hundreds of posters on social media said they would boycott his restaurant because it was a local venue to Blackburn, who is running for a seat in the U.S. Senate against former Democratic Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen.
“People have posted they love our food, but will no longer come to the restaurant,” Courtney said Monday. “I have never in my life experienced such a thing. It’s scary.”…”I was called a Nazi sympathizer of all things,” he said. “It’s hurt my business, my staff, me and my family. I’ve never seen grown people, or whoever is hidden behind the screens, act in such a manner. I have partners.”

Soros Operative Accused of ‘Battery’ Against Nevada GOP Campaign Manager
A Democratic operative who works for American Bridge 21st Century, the left-wing group funded by liberal billionaire George Soros, was arrested Tuesday after Nevada GOP gubernatorial nominee Adam Laxalt’s female campaign manager accused him of grabbing her arm and refusing to release it.
Las Vegas City Marshals arrested Wilfred Michael Stark III, 50, on Tuesday evening on the battery charge and he is currently being held in the Las Vegas city jail.
Stark is listed on LinkedIn as a reporter for American Bridge, the left-wing group founded in 2010 by David Brock which received more than $2 million from Soros between 2015 and 2016.
Stark has also been arrested on a number of other occasions, including one arrest in March for allegedly assaulting Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke’s female press secretary.
The city marshals said the arrest was a citizen’s arrest because it did not take place “in the presence of the marshals.”
The confrontation took place shortly after a Laxalt campaign event in East Las Vegas Tuesday evening when Stark allegedly burst into the room with the Nevada attorney general and began getting physical with his staff members.

Soros-Backed Group Fires Operative After Arrest Over Alleged Battery Against GOP Campaign Manager
The liberal group American Bridge 21st Century announced Wednesday night that it had fired one of its operatives a day after he was arrested and accused of battery against the female campaign manager for Nevada GOP gubernatorial candidate Adam Laxalt.
In a statement, American Bridge said that Mike Stark had been relieved of his duties “effective immediately.”

Thanks, Common Core: ACT Scores for Class of 2018 Worst in Decades
The creators of the ACT test announced on Wednesday that scores for the class of 2018 are the worst reported in decades. Math scores, in fact, are in freefall among ACT-tested U.S. high school graduates, falling to their lowest mark in 14 years, according to The Condition of College and Career Readiness 2018, the ACT’s annual report.
The report includes ACT test results from all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The People ‘Stopping Election Interference’ Are the Ones Actually Rigging the Election
The alternative media changed everything during the last presidential election and this is why it has to be muzzled
Last week, as I mentioned, hundreds of Facebook pages were shut down without warning. Many of these sites also lost their Twitter accounts on the same day. This is reminiscent of last month’s attack on Alex Jones.
Anyone who disagrees with the establishment is being abruptly silenced.
Zuckerberg and friends are saying that this is so that we can be sure we don’t have election interference in the midterms…but what they’re really doing is interfering in the elections themselves.
They’ve gloated about everything from “featuring Facebook pages that spread disinformation less prominently so that fewer people potentially see them” to “559 politically oriented pages and 251 accounts, all of American origin, for consistently breaking its rules against “spam and coordinated inauthentic behavior”.
The pages which have been removed or shadowbanned have run the gamut of political philosophies, but the fact is, people like Mark Zuckerberg, the folks at Google, and Jack Dorsey of Twitter are deciding which information gets to be seen. They’re deciding whether something is “disinformation” or truth. They’re deciding if people who have spent years building a following get to still reach the people who opted to follow them.
Because Facebook reaches more than 2 billion people each day, this is a problem of epic proportions.
I believe that it is Facebook itself that is tampering with the election by manipulating what they want people to see. If the alternative media changed everything in the 2016 election due to the availability of more information, Facebook will change future elections due to their manipulation of the information users are allowed to see.

The elite have worked very hard to slow down birth rates all over the world, and their efforts appear to be working. Just as we have witnessed in so many other countries, the birth rate in the United States continues to fall. In fact, it just plunged to yet another new all-time record low. So why would the elite want this to happen? Well, they believe that climate change is the greatest threat that our planet is facing, and they also believe that humans are the primary driver of climate change, and so they are convinced that if they can get people to have fewer babies they are actually “saving the world”. And according to the most recent CDC numbers, they have made a tremendous amount of progress in accomplishing that mission… US birth rates have plummeted to historic lows, new CDC figures reveal.
Since 2007, fertility rates have plummeted 18 percent in large cities, 16 percent in mid-sized counties, and 12 percent in rural areas.
As expected, the average age that women have their first child continues to climb — now at 24.5 years old in rural counties and 27.5 in metropolitan areas.
In addition, new numbers from the United Nations Population Fund show that 40 percent of all births in the United States now occur outside of marriage…
The traditional family has been one of the primary targets for the elite for a very long time, and we have been witnessing a cultural shift that is absolutely breathtaking.
If you can believe it, the number of married couples with children in the U.S. just reached a 56-year low…

In the latest indication of the Trump administration’s efforts to root out alleged leakers, a senior Treasury Department official working in the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FINCEN), Natalie Mayflower Sours Edwards, has been charged with leaking confidential financial reports to the media concerning former Trump campaign advisers Paul Manafort and Richard Gates, according to The Hill…
When she was arrested, Edwards was in possession of a flash drive which was allegedly used to save the unlawfully disclosed SARs, as well as a cell phone “containing numerous communications over an encrypted application in which she transmitted SARs and other sensitive government information to Reporter-1.”
“We hope today’s charges remind those in positions of trust within government agencies that the unlawful sharing of sensitive documents will not be tolerated and will be met with swift justice by this Office,” said US Attorney Geoffrey Berman in a statement.

U.S. Has 3.5 Million More Registered Voters Than Live Adults — a Red Flag for Electoral Fraud

Murdock counted Judicial Watch’s state-by-state tally and found that 462 U.S. counties had a registration rate exceeding 100% of all eligible voters. That’s 3.552 million people, who Murdock calls “ghost voters.” And how many people is that? There are 21 states that don’t have that many people.
Nor are these tiny, rural counties or places that don’t have the wherewithal to police their voter rolls.
California, for instance, has 11 counties with more registered voters than actual voters. Perhaps not surprisingly — it is deep-Blue State California, after all — 10 of those counties voted heavily for Hillary Clinton.
Los Angeles County, whose more than 10 million people make it the nation’s most populous county, had 12% more registered voters than live ones, some 707,475 votes. That’s a huge number of possible votes in an election.
But, Murdock notes, “California’s San Diego County earns the enchilada grande. Its 138% registration translates into 810,966 ghost voters.”
State by state, this is an enormous problem that needs to be dealt with seriously. Having so many bogus voters out there is a temptation to voter fraud. In California, where Hillary Clinton racked up a massive majority over Trump, it would have made little difference.

EU Copyright Changes Poised to Upset Critical Internet Policies
Controversial copyright legislation advancing through Brussels has received limited notice in Washington, despite its potential to significantly reshape copyright law on the Internet. On September 12, the European Parliament voted to adopt a new Copyright Directive, which contains controversial provisions regulating news links and Internet filtering. (DisCo has covered these provisions and this legislative process extensively.)
While the proposed Directive may not be law yet — final resolution of the proposal is estimated to occur early next year — these changes stand to affect how users outside of Europe experience the Internet. The legislation is now in so-called “trilogue” discussions between the European Parliament, Council, and Commission. Barring a significant course correction in Brussels, the Parliament’s proposed Directive is expected to become law in substantially its current form.

Lancashire council voted to not serve unstunned meat in schools Thursday, but around one in 10 UK councils are supplying sharia law-compliant halal meat to schools produced in a way considered cruel by major animal rights groups.

One in five adults in England and Wales experienced crime last year whilst London has hit its highest ever level of knife crime, according to statistics.
For the year ending June 2018, homicide has risen by 14 percent, violent crime involving blades or knives by 12 percent, sexual offences by 18 percent, and robbery by 22 percent, according to the Crime Survey for England and Wales released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) on Thursday.

But now it appears that the essentially unbroken string of center-right/center-left postwar governments is coming apart. Frau Merkel’s beating at the polls yesterday signifies the end of the political consensus and the opening of a Left-Right rift that likely will only worsen over the coming months…

The Saudi Connection: Enough Already!

In the aftermath of the murder of Jamal Khashoggi inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, the question has been raised whether the U.S.-Saudi alliance can or should be saved. It is based on false premises: there is no such alliance. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is neither a friend nor an ally of America. It is an enemy of civilization, a malevolent aberration. A Saudi-free world would be a better, safer world.
Contrary voices, some of them probably encouraged by Saudi largesse, are swiftly merging into a chorus of “reason” and “pragmatism.” “The U.S. and its allies cannot simply disengage,” writes The Hill. “Like it or not, Saudi Arabia and its partners need one another.” “Saudi Arabia is simply too crusial to U.S. interests to allow the death of one man to affect the relationship,” according to MarketWatch.com. Significantly, it points out that “the Saudis’ new best friend” may throw them a lifeline: “As Iran has become the biggest threat to Israel, the Jewish state has made common cause with the Saudis. Former Saudi bashers such as Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s confidant Dore Gold now meet with the kingdom’s officials.”
Indeed, the Saudi cause has been embraced with gusto by assorted neoconservative pundits who see the emerging Jerusalem-Riyadh axis as the permanent foundation of our policy in the Middle East. In Israel itself, the affair has caused alarm. “The Khashoggi Murder is a Disaster for Israel,” Daniel B. Shapiro warned in the Haaretz on October 17: “In Jerusalem and D.C., they’re mourning their whole strategic concept for the Mideast—not least, for countering Iran.” Diplomatic correspondent Herb Keinon argued in The Jerusalem Post that Saudi leaders were of pivotal importance in pushing the Trump administration to make its policy on Iran amenable to Israel’s interests: “Netanyahu led the rhetorical charge in Washington to get Trump to withdraw from the Iranian nuclear deal earlier this year, but the Saudis—and other Persian Gulf states—were equally involved behind closed doors lobbying heavily against it,” he wrote. If Saudi Arabia finds that its political capital is dwindling, Israel’s proxy lobby groups in Washington “may actually go to Capitol Hill, as they have done in the past, and discreetly lobby for the Saudis, something that could paradoxically bring the two countries even closer together,” Keinon concluded…

What the Media Isn’t Telling You About the Jamal Khashoggi Affair
We know that Saudi Arabia’s rivals, such as Turkey, Qatar, and Iran, seek to undermine the U.S.-Saudi alliance by any means necessary. And the optics are much worse for Riyadh if the Saudi monarchy is found to have executed a “journalist” rather than an Islamist activist.
Domestically, perhaps the media stubbornly insists on calling Khashoggi a “journalist” because it helps to advance the false media narrative that President Trump is waging a war on the free press. Notably, legacy reporters have been leveraging the Khashoggi situation to take shots at the president’s rhetoric.
Jamal Khashoggi was never a reformer in the sense that he wanted to advance individual rights and overall freedoms in the Middle East. In fact, all of the evidence points to the reality that he was a regressive thinker and a dedicated Islamist who wanted to move Saudi Arabia to a more cleric-led society.
As an early ally to al Qaeda founders Osama Bin Laden and Abdullah Azzam, Khashoggi has been an Islamist for decades. While he may have disagreed with his old friend Bin Laden about how to impose an Islamic state on the world, the two shared the same endgame.
While Bin Laden preferred a much more aggressive strategy, Khashoggi appeared to be a supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood model of governance advanced by groups like Hamas and the short-lived Muslim Brotherhood regime in Egypt.

Pakistanis Rally to Demand Death for Christian Woman Facing Execution for Blasphemy (Photos)
Several thousand protesters hit the streets of Pakistan calling for the Christian woman accused of insulting Islam be put to death. Asia Bibi would become the first person executed for blasphemy if her appeal fails.
The Pakistani city of Lahore was the center of Friday’s protests, which were organized by the anti-blasphemy party Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP). Demonstrations also took place in a number of other cities across the country, including Karachi and Rawalpindi.

Pope ‘Expressed Willingness’ To Visit N Korea
Would give unconditional response of formally invited — Yonhap
(ANSA) — Beijing, October 18 — Pope Francis expressed willingness to visit North Korea if formally invited during an audience in the Vatican on Thursday with South Korean President Moon Jae-in, the Yonhap agency quoted Moon’s spokesman as saying. It said that Moon passed on a “verbal invitation” from North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
“The pope said that ‘I would give an unconditional response if an official invitation arrived and I can go’,” Moon’s spokesperson Yoon Young-chan said, according to Yonhap. Moon also met Vatican Secretary of State Pietro Parolin and Monsignor Paul Richard Gallagher, Secretary for Relations with States.
“During the cordial discussions, the parties evoked the good bilateral relations and the positive contribution offered by the Church in the social, education and healthcare sectors, as well as the promotion of dialogue and reconciliation between Koreans,” the Vatican said in a statement. “Strong appreciation was expressed for the common commitment to fostering all useful initiatives to overcome the tensions that still exist in the Korean Peninsula, in order to usher in a new season of peace and development”.

Berlin Sees Rise in Homophobic Attacks With Nearly All Committed by Migrant-Background Men
A Berlin anti-violence project has claimed that attacks on homosexuals have never been so common in the German capital, with most of the attackers being young migrant-background men.

Donald Trump Threatens to Send U.S. Military to Stop Migrant Caravan
President Donald Trump threatened Thursday to send the military to block the migrant caravan heading for the United States border.
“I must, in the strongest of terms, ask Mexico to stop this onslaught — and if unable to do so I will call up the U.S. Military and CLOSE OUR SOUTHERN BORDER!” Trump wrote on Twitter.
The caravan of migrants that began in Honduras has grown to several thousand people after passing into Guatemala as it heads for the Mexican border. Other Hondurans are leaving the country to join it.
Trump threatened to stop all federal payments to Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador if the countries failed to block the flow and blamed Democrats for rejecting a reform of immigration laws allowing them to claim asylum. He also claimed that the caravan included criminals.
“Hopefully Mexico will stop this onslaught at their Northern Border,” he wrote. “All Democrats fault for weak laws!”

Italy: 15 Nabbed for Attempted Migrant Centre Breakout

(ANSA) — Turin, October 18 — Italian police on Thursday arrested 15 people in connection with an attempted breakout from the CPR migrant detention and repatriation centre in Turin on Wednesday.
The 15 are North Africans who had been in the CPR for over a month, police sources said.
They are accused of causing tension in the facility on Via Brunelleschi, and torching mattresses and furniture in four residential units.

Sickening: African Migrant, Who Raped Swedish Girl and Ruined Her Life, Is Allowed to Stay in Sweden
A 37-year-old African who came to Sweden from Burundi as a “political refugee” in 2014 has been convicted of raping a girl in her home.
Afterwards the girl was vaccinated and prescribed hepatitis medication and tested for HIV. The incident happened on 8 July 2018 in Visby on the island of Gotland east of the Swedish mainland.
Statements from witnesses support what the girl told police, writes Hela Gotland. Forensic evidence was obtained as the African’s sperm was found on the girl’s underwear and bed sheets.
The girl told police that she was at a party of a relative and asked the African to drive her home. When in her room the African locked the door from the inside.
“Sh*t, what’s happening, I’m going to get raped,” she thought. And indeed, the African started to undress. “I’ll be quick, I’ll be quick,” he explained.

Video Shows Cash Being Handed Out to Honduran Migrant Caravan Headed for U.S.: Rep Gaetz
Florida Republican Representative Matt Gaetz shared video on Wednesday allegedly showing cash being handed out to members of the 4000-strong Honduran migrant caravan making its way to the US that’s getting bigger by the day.
“BREAKING: Footage in Honduras giving cash 2 women & children 2 join the caravan & storm the US border @ election time. Soros? US-backed NGOs? Time to investigate the source!” Gaetz tweeted.
Laura Ingraham said Wednesday on Twitter that such trips can cost as much as $7,000 per person and questioned who is funding this invasion:

Christian Fire Chief Awarded Big Payout After Court Rules City of Atlanta Violated His Rights
The City of Atlanta has agreed to pay out $1.2 million to former Atlanta Fire Chief Kelvin Cochran (shown) after the city was found to have violated his First Amendment-protected rights three years ago, the Daily Wire reports.
Cochran is a Christian who wrote a 162-page devotional book entitled Who Told You That You Are Naked? in his spare time, in which he addressed Biblical views on sex and marriage. The book featured advice to for men on how to be better fathers and husbands.
The City of Atlanta evidently found his views to be offensive and suspended him for 30 days without pay and forced him to attend “sensitivity training.” He was also subjected to an investigation into his conduct, which revealed that in his 30 years as a firefighter, he had never discriminated against anyone. In fact, Cochran had an impeccable record, and was even named “Fire Chief of the Year” in 2012 by Fire Chief Magazine.
Despite having already punished Cochran and finding nothing incriminating in the investigation, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed fired him.
Cochran enlisted the services of the Alliance Defending Freedom and pursued a wrongful termination lawsuit against the City.
In December 2017, a federal district court ruled that while the city acted lawfully in terminating Cochran’s employment, its policies restricting non-work speech are too broad and enable city officials to discriminate against any employees with whom they disagree.
The court struck down the city’s policy that requires government employees to get permission before engaging in free speech efforts outside of work — the very policy the city used to terminate Cochran’s employment.

Walmart Encourages Bizarre ‘Furry’ Subculture
Retail giant Walmart has caused confusion by appearing to encourage the bizarre ‘Furry’ subculture.
A twitter user called BlondeFoxy (a furry) tweeted a picture of themselves wearing a ‘Walmart head’ as a part of their “fursuit”.

Our press is so biased that it is very difficult to discern the truth. Of course it is a fact that the standard of living in Central America is lower than the US.
What obligation does the US have to the dysfunctional states of central america? Some many decades old grievance of exploitation? I think not. We, the US, have been pumping money into these economies for decades now. Are we now required to take their citizens in en mass because of their dysfunctional governments? I would much rather pay for massive aid to these people in their own countries than have them flood ours. I would rather we pay for schools, hospitals, etc and shoot people dead on the streets that disrupt the normalizing of their societies than allow them to enter our country.
Funny how the knock on effect of our immigration policy is now affecting Canada and what a nickers twisting reaction they have. You don’t like it much, do you Canada? How many Haitians and Hondurans do you think your country can absorb?

Video from the Muslim channel, “exposing” a report from the main Russian channel “Russia “24”. In the video, a Muslim accuses “Russia “24” of Islamophobia.
One detail is interesting: a Muslim is outraged that a female journalist mentions the nationality of the rape-gangsters – the Pakistanis: “She violated the journalistic rule approved in Russia – not to mention the nationality or religious affiliation of criminals!”
He also mentions one of the victims of rape – she had a vicious lifestyle.

A very timely commentary. These hedge funds are like parasites. They’ve destroyed countless good companies that actually make things and employ people. They themselves generate wealth only for themselves. They also appoint new management and directors who don’t understand the industry and with a focus on maximising short run profit, then flick the business on and get out before the collapse.

I don’t know if this has been posted already so I am providing a link to one of the most incredible essays I have read about the current political situation in the US. The piece is by Angelo Codevilla over at The American Mind and here is a quote from the introduction:
“Prior to the 2016 election I explained (After The Republic) how America had already “stepped over the threshold of a revolution,” that it was “difficult to imagine how we might step back, and futile to speculate how it might end.” Regardless of who won the election, its sentiments’ growing “volume and intensity” would empower politicians on all sides sure to make us nostalgic for Donald Trump’s and Hilary Clinton’s moderation. Having begun, this revolution would follow its own logic.
What follows dissects that logic. It has unfolded faster than foreseen. Its sentiments’ spiraling volume and intensity have eliminated any possibility of “stepping back.”
