Dutch Police Thwart Planned Terrorist Attack

Seven “Dutch” “youths” have been arrested for planning a major terrorist attack in the Netherlands. The mischievous culture-enrichers intended to strike a major public event with firearms, hand grenades, and car bombs.

Seven arrests for plans ‘major terrorist attack’ in the Netherlands

UPDATE — Seven men were arrested on Thursday in connection with the planning of a ‘major terrorist attack’ in the Netherlands. That was confirmed by the Public Prosecution Service.

The men come from Arnhem (three), Rotterdam (two), Huissen (one) and Vlaardingen (one). The suspects were arrested at the end of the afternoon in Arnhem and Weert. The two men in Weert were staying there in a holiday home and drove in a van on Thursday when they were stopped by an arrest team. According to local media, shot(s) were fired by the special unit. On images you can see that there is blood on the ground. The white van, with French license plate, and two passenger cars have been confiscated, according to weertdegekste.nl.

Whether an agent fired shots in Weert, the police do not want to say — it is clear that the special unit used force. One or more suspects suffered minor injuries.

Suspects were armed

The ages of the suspects vary from 21 to 34 years. During the arrests, for which various anti-terror units were deployed, the police found five small arms.

Group formed around 34-year-old Iraqi

“In a months-long criminal investigation, the police became aware of a group centered around the 34-year-old Hardi N. of Iraqi origin from Arnhem, who was convicted in 2017 for attempting to travel to the Islamic State’s battlefield”, according to the Public Prosecution Service, which says it assumes that an attack has been prevented with the arrests.

Bombings and car bomb

The men were looking for AK47s, small arms, hand grenades, bombs and raw materials for one or more [car] bombs. The OM assumes that the suspects wanted to strike at two locations at the same time: both an attack with bombs and Kalashnikov AK47s at an event and as a car bomb they wanted to detonate.

In addition to the 34-year-old man, two other suspects have been convicted for an attempt to travel, according to the Public Prosecution Service.

Police helicopter above Arnhem

For some time on Thursday a police helicopter hovered above Arnhem, as twitterers noticed.

The suspects are in restrictions and are therefore not allowed to have contact with each other or other people — only with their lawyer. On Friday they will appear before the examining magistrate.

Strangers on a Tram

A German grandmother in Halle complained to the authorities about dangerous culture-enrichers on the city’s trams, but to no avail. The video below gives a sample of what passengers have to endure when they take the tram in Halle.

Hello Halle Leaks, I write you at the request of my grandmother, because she complained several times at Havag [public transportation company], and the conditions in the trams are not getting better.

She is really afraid to take the tram to the city; she only takes the tram when she can’t accomplish things over the phone. To the bank, the pension office, the town hall … if I can do it, I drive with her, because she’s too scared to go alone.

She has often told me about the black African with the gold rings. She usually sees him when she leaves the city in the afternoon. He is very unfriendly and aggressive to all passengers, always drunk, and always has alcohol or beer bottles. Enclosed are two pictures, which I secretly recorded. My grandmother is sure that sooner or later this man will hurt a person in the tram or at a tram stop, or worse. Everyone just looks away. Once he deliberately threw one of his rings from his hand to the ground with full force and he demanded that the passengers across from him pick it up, threatening them with violence. Everyone looked away. A young man then picked up his ring and the African [probably a refugee] demanded that the young man put the ring on his finger. He also did that in order not to provoke the drunk. Nevertheless, the man hit and kicked the passenger.

When he gets out, he regularly hits the tram and threatens the passenger inside with hand gestures across his throat [death threat]. Another time he threw his beer bottles on the floor in rage, shattering them into a thousand pieces of broken glass. Fortunately, the train then continued. My grandma says that at some point this will catch you and he will make his threat true.

Why can’t such people be take out of circulation? I often read your stuff with mixed feelings, but I know no way out. The newspaper would certainly not bring up something like that. Maybe you can publish it and warn other people about this person.

Thilo Sarrazin: “This is What Needs to be Drilled Into Every Blockhead”

Thilo Sarrazin is a Social Democrat and former member of the board of the Bundesbank in Germany. For the latter position, he is now “former” because his published opinions about Islam and immigration were deemed unacceptable by the progressive globalists that manage German politics.

For almost ten years Mr. Sarrazin’s outspoken opinions about immigrants have caused controversy — he declared that Turks and Arabs are making Germany “dumber” because they have lower IQs and are more fecund than native Germans. The publication of his book Deutschland schafft sich ab — Wie wir unser Land aufs Spiel setzen (“Abolishing Germany — How we’re putting our country in jeopardy”) in 2010 was the final straw, as far as the elites were concerned.

In the video below from a recent event, you can see Mr. Sarrazin give sexist and WAYCIST responses to a female Social Justice Warrior who peppers him with obnoxious questions.

The long drought is over!*

We’re having thunder and lightning and wind and heavy rain right now, and you all know what that means: our Internet connectivity could be flushed away without warning at any moment. So if we disappear from view for a while, you’ll know why.

It could also be full of sound and fury, but signifying nothing — you just never know.

*   Residents of the Piedmont and coastal areas in these parts understand the irony in that statement. We haven’t gone more than 36 hours without rain in the past two months. The rivers are swollen and the ground is sodden. We’ve had at least fifteen inches (40 cm) of rain since the beginning of September, which is probably four times the average for the whole month.

I can’t imagine what those folks in coastal South Carolina are going through right now.
 

The Collapse of Europe’s Center-Left

Sunday’s general election in Sweden extended two trends that are now prominent across Western Europe: the rise of right-wing populist parties and the decline of center-left parties.

The far-right Sweden Democrats entered parliament for the first time in 2010, winning 6% of the vote. On Sunday, they finished in third place with 18% of the vote. And while the center-left Social Democrats finished ahead of the Sweden Democrats, they registered their worst electoral performance in more than 100 years.

Sweden’s Social Democratic Party is not an anomaly. In legislative elections held over the past two years, the French Socialist Party, German Social Democratic Party and Dutch Labor Party – three other major left-of-center parties – recorded their worst-ever results in the postwar era. Once-strong center-left parties in Austria, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Spain are also near historic lows in terms of their most recent legislative election results.

Did you ever think you’d see this volte-face in your lifetime? If you did, it means you ignored what the media has been saying…repeating and repeating ad nauseam.

The Salvini Decree: Crackdown on Illegal Immigration

Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini is making good on his campaign promises. His latest decree has made real changes to the way Italy handles immigration and deals with security.

Even before the new decree, Mr. Salvini’s policies were already having an effect. As reported in last night’s news feed, there were 20,500 fewer asylum requests in the second quarter of 2018.

ROME — The two original decrees (security and immigration) wanted by the Minister of the Interior Matteo Salvini have merged into a single decree that provides for a tightening on the immigration front and on the security front. According to the officials of the Viminale, the text “is not armoured”. From the abrogation of the residence permit for humanitarian reasons to the “crackdown” on the rental of vans, there are many innovations contained in the Salvini decree.

Immigration. On the immigration front, the decree provides for the doubling of retention times in the centers of detention for repatriation: from 90 to 180 days; the repeal of residence permits for humanitarian reasons, replaced with permits for civil merit or for medical treatment or if the country of origin is experiencing a natural disaster. “Humanitarian protection is regulated by six specific cases; there will no longer be the free interpretation of the single,” explained Salvini. “For asylum seekers, the suspension of the asylum application is foreseen in case of social danger or in the event of a conviction in the first degree,” Salvini explained. As for the Sprar (Protection System for Asylum Seekers and Refugees), it will continue to exist but “limited to applicants for humanitarian protection and unaccompanied minors.”

The Salvini Decree also provides for the extension of the offenses that cause the revocation of the refugee’s permission (sexual violence, drug dealing, violence to a public official); the revocation of humanitarian protection to so-called “vacation refugees”; the exclusion of legal aid in cases where the appeal is declared impractical or inadmissible: the court costs will no longer be borne by the State.

Safety. Regarding the provisions on public security, prevention and combating of terrorism and mafia crime, the decree provides for a tightening on the rental of vans that could be used for terrorist attacks; the extension of the ‘daspo’ ( Ban on Access to Sporting Events) for those suspected of involvement with international terrorism; while for foreigners considered a threat to national security the withdrawal of citizenship will start.

In other news, police in the Maldives used pickaxes to destroy a group of statues that were deemed un-Islamic. A British sculptor had created the life-sized human figures.

Clarence Thomas Hearings, 1991: Echoes of the Past

The whole thing runs about twenty-three minutes but it’s worth your time. This is one of those plus ça change moments, frozen in time.

The left hasn’t changed at all: look at their younger (and some of their mortal) selves posturing on that Committee. It still sticks in the craw that Ted Kennedy could leave a young woman to die while he went off to panic somewhere and yet have the audacity to challenge Judge Thomas.

The only change in this moral mess is that the justice under consideration is white. The Left is still terrified over our abortion laws and whatever other laws they’re sure will mean the end of programmed life – or death – as they know it.

Thomas has proved to be an excellent Justice and Roe v. Wade remains intact even as Planned Parenthood sells fetal body parts.

This Cavanaugh circus had better be over well before the election or the Blue Wave will be a blue trickle. Those panderers know it, too.

New Information About the Danforth Shooting in Toronto

Back in July we reported on a mass shooting at a café in the Greektown district of Toronto by an allegedly mentally disturbed young man named Faisal Hussain. Mr. Hussain killed two people and wounded thirteen more before killing himself.

At the time there wasn’t much publicly available information about the gunman except for the usual sanitized boilerplate put out by the authorities and dutifully passed on by the Canadian MSM. It was obvious that information was being suppressed, and we were not being told everything the authorities knew about Faisal Hussain.

However, an official police document has now been made public, albeit in redacted form. In the following video Ezra Levant of Rebel Media analyzes this document in detail:
