This is one of those stories that makes me scratch my head.
First of all: there’s no excusing the rapists; they should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and then [intemperate recommendation redacted].
But concerning the not-so-young lady, you have to wonder: What was that woman thinking of?! Did she drink so many strawberry daiquiris that her brain liquefied?
Unless she’d just awoken from a five-year coma, when she got into that taxi with the two Africans she must have known what “refugee” men love to do with German females in their spare time. And that was a long, expensive taxi ride to the asylum center — I’m told that the run from Düsseldorf to Grevenbroich would cost upwards of €50. And do you think the Africans paid their own fares? One has one’s doubts.
Anyway, here’s the grisly story. Many thanks to MissPiggy for the translation, and to Vlad Tepes for the subtitling:
|00:00||In a joint press release, the public prosecutor’s office in Mönchengladbach|
|00:05||and the Rhine District police of Neuss announced that on Friday 17 August|
|00:09||two young men from Guinea were arrested by the police on suspicion of rape.|
|00:13||According to the police report, the allegedly 17- and 20-year-old men are|
|00:17||suspected of raping a 35-year-old victim on the night of July 15, 2018|
|00:21||after meeting in Dusseldorf. The victim was later sexually assaulted|
|00:25||in a shelter for refugees in Grevenbroich.|
|00:29||The police report further reveals that after the German woman (according to Bild)|
|00:33||escaped her abusers, she entered a train where she confided her experience|
|00:39||to other passengers and the crew on the train, who then informed the|
|00:43||district police department. At the next stop, the police attended to|
|00:47||the visibly affected woman and immediately initiated the investigation|
|00:51||of the suspects, who were arrested shortly thereafter in Grevenbroich.|
|00:55||The investigations have led the prosecutor in Mönchengladbach to|
|00:59||request arrest warrants for the two asylum seekers.|
|01:04||According to the Rheinische Post newspaper, the offence happened|
|01:08||in the refugee center near the Hansenstraße in the southern|
|01:12||Grevenbroich district of Frimmersdorf. After meeting the two West Africans|
|01:16||at the Funfair fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, she then rode with them in a taxi|
|01:20||to the refugee center in the city of Grevenbroich (26km/16.5 miles).
